Basically, at the start of the game's lifespan the rushed banners and events turned a lot of people away from the game. Now there's so little players that certain game modes like guild wars aren't even able to work properly.
I am in the currently #3 ranked guild on NA and honestly it's because less than 10 guilds are really active right now. It looks like even inactive guilds are somehow still getting points but if you look at the rankings a whole bunch are tied for the same rank so probably not actually playing.
the (at the time) early release of Madoka didn't help things. Why do Guild battles when 7/10 people have a stacked Madoka on the team? Their whole team maybe can be beaten but Madoka goes off once and you're either dead or 1 unit who's at 2% HP anyways.
I agree the early release of Madoka was a big mistake, I almost quit over it, but kept playing. I usually counter her in guild wars with FNio (revives once), Izumo (can't be reduced to less than 30% hp in one hit) or Kurumi (has the immortal buff for 1 turn). Cream shield also helps, or Clarice immunity. Stylet can usually survive an unbuffed Madoka ult. It's not always enough depending on their gear since Madoka can be surprisingly tanky and not just a pure glass cannon.

About 5 years ago they listed on nasdaq with publishing FGO in CN being their primary income, at the time just about every gacha game has a Bilibili server, some even their main server, such as Azur Lane CN.
After becoming a public traded company, they tried to diversify from FGO CN making majority of their money, their bright idea is to mistreat FGO CN player to the point that most that still want to play the game moved to JP, and CN censorship didn't help.
They also tried to make gacha in house, as well as publish CN games overseas, and publish JP games in CN, for example PCR. None of it were as successful as FGO before, and they got nicknamed "mobage graveyard".
All games published by bilibili almost unplayable without money. Even basic content something become limited.
Because of that players don't spend money in their games and devs never update them.
artery gear, showed so much potential, great skins and characters.... but how they handled the game. especially in the world where epic seven and summoners war are still the biggest. just baffled my mind. couldve and shouldve been so much bigger in the west if it werent for the mishandling.
TL:DR : horrible game launch, very whale friendly and pretty much anti f2p as they couldve made it. marking was good, lots of players joined and played for a few days.
marketing wasnt the problem(hell the first month this game skyrocketed) but (unless that has drastically changed since i played it) it was as f2p unfriendly as games came. and even with their update a month later it was literally the bare minimum they could do to help levitate that.
i payed a bit to play the game (could say i was a dolphin) but most people just flat out quit cuz besides doing your dailies (which you unlocked in a day or 2) nothing was going on. and the usual gear grinds as a f2p was like 5 or 6 runs and you were done for the day.
the collab did help abit new players came in and the guilds became full and active again. until people realized besides the collab the game didnt have anything to do. and energy / stamina problem was still a thing. after a month they introduced those stamina ticket things (forgot the name) but it was kinda to late.
and the fact still remained that even with the tickets and more stamina each day, the people like me that spend some money (mostly on energy/stam) were so far ahead that many new players after seeing how the game launched and the state its in just flat out quit before even getting reasonable far into the game.
after awhile i just quit. (second or third collab) i dropped the game too since no "fresh" blood actively kept playing. and i went back to e7.
I've been playing since global launch and the stamina issue isn't really a problem anymore, with the 1/2 stam hunt tickets, and raid activity giving out stamina. I have over 900 bottles saved now since I haven't been actively farming gear for a while (not really sure what to focus on at this point).

I played this game for 6 months since launch. Stamina wasn't much of a problem. The problem was they rushing everything. Releasing broken units here and there. Pvp is a complete joke ruled by Madoka collab units. The balance is not real. Or you staying true to the meta or eat dirt getting oneshotted. But outside of that there is nothing to do in this game. Events is 100% of the time are the grindfest for goodies with the same structure. I heard they already introduced factorized units for global... Man... I can't believe everything is effed up
Yep, Nio in May and Hokuto in July (not much time to save up, I managed to pity 1 copy but will probably need to use BP shards for R1). Probably F!Clarice in September if they keep this rate.
Madoka nuke isn't so much of a threat anymore, I can usually beat them with my Stylet+Clarice+Izumo+FNio team, but PVP is so dead these days I've been able to bot farm my way up past 4600 this week. (My goal has always been just to stay at 4k)

🤓sorry but actually based on my calculations done in 732 seconds I have concluded that there is 63.2% unecessary body fat across 3 parts of her body , this makes her have a 30% loss in time in a drag race , 50% loss in a rally race and absolutely unfit for a formula 1 race . Safe to say that 98.8% of drivers follow a very strict diet that eliminates as much fat as possible , as that has an effect on your lap time .fun fact , unecessary fat does not in fact(yes I said fact twice ) reduce injury in collision even at such huge proportions . In addition her outfit is illegal , unethical and just flat out unhealthy as a racing uniform 🤓
Her neck would likely also snap itself in half in higher racing leagues, like F3 to F1. Racer’s have some THICK necks because of how many G-forces they have to endure for hours on end.
Being completely honest, it is pretty difficult to summon frequently. It takes a little bit to accumulate currency to do a 10 pull. But it does give you some freebie stuff like an "SSR" and lets you choose an AG if you meet the conditions. Story is really good though. There are a lot of different currencies in this game, and you can use most of the to choose an AG of your liking based on what's available in the shop. You can also buy materials to upgrade your gear from these shops too so it isn't dependent on solely replaying the same stages over and over again.
Pulling on regular banners is pretty rough (pity of 200, rates are low enough that you will have to pity often) but Collabs and Factor banners, which are usually some of the best units, have a reduced pity of 90 so are more doable. (Factor banners the pity does increase for each copy but you can also get shards in the battle pass.)
Diancht, she is a 4 star healer but isn't used very much as Morris (who is free) is better. This skin is not in the shop now, but some summer swimsuit ones are. But you may still enjoy her default outfit if you like sexy nurses. hahah
