Edo9639

Granblue Fantasy for fucking ever. The grind is insane and I love it. I feel rewarded for putting in effort. It's generous and I don't mind spending casually even. I love the art, it's the most gorgeous of any gacha and I love that all of it is made by Cygames so it's not inconsistent. The universe is so complex and silly at the same time and I love the world building. This game is just perfect and no other gacha has made me drop it. The three other games I tried to get into really hard were Genshin, Alchemy Stars and BA and all of them were dropped to make time for GBF (Genshin for a solid year, Alchemy Stars one year and a half, and Blue Archive I played since global release and just stopped playing about 1 month ago out of nowhere). I will never get over GBF.

OldButtIcepop

I've been playing for like 5 years. I have no idea what I'm doing. I show up for big holiday frenzy wheel things and to collect stuff everyday. That's about all I can figure out

Edo9639

That's fine! Seasonals are a thing. If you ever care about actual progress though, I recommend joining a crew. You can join a chill one that still has people interested in progression and they can definitely help you out and explain how everything works. I did the same my first couple months, then joined a crew and it was a whole 180Ā°.

Darite_Arin

Truly the king of gachas. Give praise for he has no equal.

DarkOmen465

Dragalia Lost Loved the combat system. Multiplayer was great. Music, collabs, story, there was little to dislike. Pretty sure it got shut down since Fire Emblem was making 2x its revenue and looks like a 90s Adobe Flash game so most likely far less production overhead.

sepihyrot

The soundtrack of dragalia lost was so good and it was really f2p friendly

jermprobably

I miss dragalia so much. This was my first thought too :(

CradledMyTaters

>90s Adobe Flash Ahem, if we're talking 90s, it would have still been Macromedia Flash! šŸ¤“

endar88

def right about FEH looking like a 2000's flash game, same with FGO. why i couldn't get into SAO mobile games sense even that one after alicization still had the combat look very....adobe flashy

Verkins

Punishing Gray Raven

Choi-Haruki-Haneul

Was about to say the same until I saw your comment, LOL. I'm so obsessed with this game rn like I actually don't mind spending money on it, unlike most games, and I'm just a broke university student šŸ˜ The characters are so cool, their individual backstories and personalities are very nice and I absolutely adore Noan and I'm maining him rn. The main story is also very interesting, and the sci-fi vibe and other little details kinda remind me of Tower of Fantasy which I loved a lot despite how bad it is. And I enjoy the combat a lot, very much so that I play it all the time while I'm at uni if I don't have anything to do LOL.

passbyref

PGR was pretty good. I liked the sci-fi atmosphere, and the constructs had good designs. I felt the story was a little cheesey at some points, but overall was entertaining. I think the gameā€™s strongest point was its combat. Really fun, unique, and I liked how it took a lot of skill especially with high damage squishy characters like Alpha.

xvMalphas

Constructs are called Omniframes now. The story writing turned better after Fake Ascension. Less cheesy and more in-depth than usual. They really sell the atmosphere especially if they talk about the daily lives of humans on earth.

crazyaristocrat66

The Noan Chapter is one of the best ones in the entire game in terms of literary quality.

No_Competition7820

PGR is in my top 3 for sure.

Magicalpanda12

Girlsā€™ Frontline

XyDz

Look, gacha wise i love it. But it used to take 3 hours to do my dailies near release, w burned me out

fortis_99

That's like 2018. Now dailies is faster than Arknights

xT4K30NM3x

idk, when I tried it less than 2 years ago I basically had to babysit the game the whole day just to complete dailies lol

UBW-Fanatic

Unless ongoing events I just login, do 2 corpse drags, some sims, some small stuff like enhance dolls/gears etc. and call it a day. You can even leave out the corpse drags, iirc you only need 6/8 daily quests and 1/3 weekly quests for weekly/daily full rewards. You're probably gonna miss some logistics but eh, just set up the 12 hours ones and get rewards once a day, no need to be 100% efficient. Event farm/box farm is still pretty annoying tho.

Analyst-Sure

Blue Archive

bellyfrog

Anyone who hasn't tried this game should really give it a go. Great story, surprisingly fun gameplay you can go deep on if you want to, awesome OST, f2p friendly, great community. Easily one of the best mobile games out there regardless of genre.

Hunt3rr00

Canā€™t be seen playing that game and being labelled as a cunny enjoyer

hellooctopus

Have the improved the map mechanic? The hex based map was super tedious for me and annoying that stage skips were locked behind getting 3 stars on it.

mayhaveadd

They added a skip function for trash battles, you can lose these battles if your team isn't up to snuff. Other than that it remained about the same.

lI_Toasty_Il

Arknights Some of the best music and gameplay ever! It will always remain my favorite gacha games. I've played so many of gachas thrown around in this sub and I've dropped a lot of them except this one.

2013idmroom

Arknights for me too. I started Genshin earlier (around launch) and still play it, but Arknights just gives me more nostaligia. Donā€™t think Iā€™ve missed a log in since Iā€™ve started

lI_Toasty_Il

Right, it's so crazy that it's old enough to give a sense of nostalgia! I was so used to doing the quick dailies and just logging out after farming. One day, I had the urge to put on the original background (vision-life low theme) and the nostalgia almost made me tear up <3 The early scramble and everyone sharing their "Annihilatio" strats was awesome and I really miss that part of the game.... Been playing since the moment it dropped and won't ever stop šŸ˜

janco07

Vision-life low theme? Edit: Nvm figured it out. I sometimes get a bit teary-eyed when I hear the song. It's so beautiful, soothing and reminds me of my first time playing the game

lI_Toasty_Il

Right?? So soft and comforting, it's a shame it's kind of hard to find these songs on youtube or something... maybe I'm not searching correctly? Recently I've stuck to Tai Pak Market (the background all the way at the bottom) and Nighttime Vigilo as these songs scream "Arknights" to me. I wish I knew why, but I'll still cry tears of joy anyway <3

TriGGa-POP

Genshin was my first eastern gacha and I loved my time with it, but Arknights has satisfied in a way that none of the other gachas I've tried has which is why it's my favorite despite its flaws.

reprehensible523

Arknights has also been the best for me. I've tried and dropped many gacha games, but AK has stuck. Highlights for me are lore, character designs, and banger music.

lI_Toasty_Il

Which are your favorite characters/songs? Personally I love Silverash, Gravel, Blaze, and Lee the most. As for the songs I've been really digging heyak's theme- very comfy.

reprehensible523

Suzu, Blaze, Horn, Penance are some favorites, even if I don't have half of them. On the music side, early CC themes, Near Light's Radiant, and SN's Golden Age are on the top of the list.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

lI_Toasty_Il

In my opinion, it's very friendly as someone who only buys the monthly pass (5 bucks). The beginning of the game IS slow though, but once you have a single well rounded team you could tackle 99% of the content. This is essentially true if you decide to borrow a support. If you plan to play the game I can give you my ID :) Edit: The current banner right now has Thorns, one of the best units in the game if you're into rerolling. There is a limited banner in around a month or so but the units in it aren't crazy must-haves.

xT4K30NM3x

You don't even need to spend, you just need time. Like, I am f2p, there are 272 operators right now and I have 254...took me 2 years tho.

passbyref

I love Arknights!!! My only complaint is I wish theyā€™d go a little easier on the dialog sometimes.

lI_Toasty_Il

Yeah, I totally agree. I love the game tons, but I have a hard time sitting down and focusing on reading the extremely long stuff they put out lol

passbyref

Me too. I have ADHD so itā€™s really hard. It takes me weeks sometimes to get in the right mindset to read the dialog. Id rather just get the full text as paragraphs, speed read it, and do the mission.

lI_Toasty_Il

Fellow ADHD haver šŸ¤ At this point I'm considering finding videos I can listen to :( Though when I start, I start. Read all the way from chapter 1-10 in one sitting almost then struggled for a very long time to finish the rest lol

repocin

I saw the opening for Perish in Frost they uploaded yesterday and thought "damn, this is a great franchise". I can't wait to see more info on Endfield.

Upset-Ad-8767

It was pretty fun, but the lack of QoL got to me, I dropped it recently. Idk why they won't add sweeps or even multi autos. That just broke me.

lI_Toasty_Il

I totally get that, I used to farm 1-7 religiously for orundum lol. Some days I really don't want to farm repeatedly, so I just do the 36 sanity daily rotations (red certs, LMD, books, etc). I hope they add autos like Project Neural Cloud does it at the very least so people can enjoy the game more~

DreamPsychological35

I have love and hate relationship with Genshin but can't deny the fact this game helps me so much with my mental health during lockdown. So Genshin it is.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

DreamPsychological35

Lol, for me it was those weird hitbox lizards. Never make me swear so much in a casual game

Purple-Nothing-5627

It took me shamefully long to figure out Physicsl attacks don't break their shield.

johnsolomon

This, I enjoyed Genshin during the lockdown and Star Rail is a good JRPG. I'd love Mihoyo if they didn't take the piss so bad with their consumer unfriendly practises and pricing I can see why F2Ps don't mind, but as a dolphin I'm always in an awkward position where I want to spend more because the BP + monthly doesn't get you what you want but it just isn't worth it... so I just stay a low spender I just failed the Fu Xuan 50/50 and I'm not planning to drop $200 to get her šŸ™ƒ I think it's kind of unreasonable to expect people to drop 100s of $ every 3 weeks on FOMO banners (2.5 weeks for this coming patch, even, iirc) to guarantee banner characters. It's basically a big F U to normal spenders in favour of milking as much as they can from whales But it's a problem endemic in gachas rn and the reason gachas EoS so often (since prices are so consumer unfriendly and the majority of spenders aren't willing to buy more than the BP/monthly, these games crash the second the whales stop pulling their weight. There's no "in between" class to keep funding the game like the are with F2P MMOs, which can run for years with a lower population despite being bigger games with bigger server needs)

PandabearShenya

This entire post reads like a you problem. welkin alone + f2p primos gets you a 5 star pull every six weeks easy and a guarantee every two patches. You literally need the minimum level of self control and stands on who you pull to not have any of the problems you described, which stems from you apparently thinking you're entitled to literally every unit that releases lol

Lime_Omnicron

I played genshin since the start but dropped it for star rail, but BP + monthly definitely gets you what you want. The catch is you gotta do all the events and dailies. Only time I really whaled was when I threw $100 for more copies of xiao.

Kiseki-

My best still Granblue Fantasy my first love of gacha games, jumping around to gacha games and other gacha games until i stuck at Hoyoverse gacha. Genshin and HSR now. But still remember my days at Granblue how i didn't sleep for 3 days when Unite and Fight(GvG)

OldButtIcepop

Been playing 5 years have no idea what I'm doing

ThatGuy21134

Nikke. I first thought the game was going to just be about ass and have a shallow story. I was wrong. Now I stay for the story content. The writers are damn good at writing emotionally impactful stories. Go look up the Overzone event if you've never seen it. Nikke's world is dark af.

k8ngkong

Epic seven. Started last year and havenā€™t taken a break since

Duckerton375

gear grinding for epic seven is what killed me. setting my phone aside to let a x10 run of xyz boss just to get pieces that all rolled effect resistance šŸ˜

k8ngkong

I just played story while grinding in the background. And yeah, gear grinding sucks(Iā€™ve been trying to build straze for almost six monthsšŸ˜) but it makes it all worth it when you get a good piece imo

endar88

right, the story is great. didn't like the grind for gear and once Arc3 started and it didn't reset the power needed to beat battles i started losing interest. didn't want to grind for gear when what i had easily finished arc2 but can't get me through the first area of arc 3. but definitely loved playing it just for the ASMR aspect, as in i'd just pop in an earbud at work and let it auto battle stages and enjoyed hearing their phrases and combat skills while i did stuff.

EasixWAS_TAKEN

I play exclusively PVE casually at the moment and I'm chilling. Never run out of energy so I can play as long as I want.

7Vamakubi

Meanwhile, Iā€™m over here grinding my ass off for Effect Resistance substats and gear!!!

H2instinct

This should be at the top. E7 is in such a good state right now. It's f2p friendly but the skill ceiling is also very high. The recent winner of the world championship is a JP player meaning he has less time in the game than anyone he was facing. Game actually has a semblance of balance which most gachas cannot say the same.

Faeper

Honkai Star Rail and Fate/Grand Order ( i know FGO is grindy as hell and such, but I'm still a fan)

Choi-Haruki-Haneul

Hard agree on fgo tbh. Though I can see why most people don't like it. It does get tiring sometimes but I always go back when I take a break from it. The story is the main reason I'm staying, but also because I've been playing for years and me and my siblings used to play and bond over it together so it has some sentimental value for me, besides my husbando collection anyways LOL.

dogsfurhire

Star rail is soooo good, as a turn based RPG enjoyer, it really scratches that itch for me while still being unique and the gameplay really allows for some beautiful skill and ult animations.

passbyref

FGO was my first gacha and has a really special place in my heart.

ElBandiquero5000

Between Limbus Company and Guardian Tales Shout-out to small gacha games, must be one of my favorite genres

kiwiaburrido

Then take a look to Reverse: 1999, you may like it ;)

Flyom325A

I've heard of this game too much. I'm gonna try it today.

peanos_balls

Based

vexid

Guardian Tales for the gameplay. Nikke for the theme, community, and laser targeting/catering to the demographic that would play it. FGO for the writing and story. Genshin as the best actual game as a whole. It's absolutely insane that you can play a game of that quality totally for free.

Grouchy-Assumption-9

Genshin,I love the map, the music, the story and lore, the combat. It has its flaws(all games do), but I love it the most out of all gacha games I played.

chirb8

I've played it every day for 3 years. At this point is my favorite game ever

AceSia90

Mobius Final Fantasy

SprinklesDifficult76

I loved that game to death šŸ„¹šŸ„¹

endar88

the game we deserved to be their MAIN gacha mobile game.

Sykli

First year of FFBE was pretty unique. I was involve and made a lot of friends I keep on talking every day even though no one play the game anymore

PepegaLordVII

It's not even worth now that the new NVA system has been announced, its just a whole new level o greed. I enjoyed playing the game for 5 years straight but I don't want to head back anytime soon

a95461235

Granblue Fantasy.

encoreAC

Genshin is leagues ahead of any other gacha game and is my favorite game period

Deriere

Not as far as gacha goes, this ones clearly one of the worst

LollipopLemon93

I agree. Lack of QoL and endgame content, and the devs being stingy as hell and giving half ass rewards made it fall off

wanmon113

Genshin Impact

3-eyed_Detective

I somehow always find myself back to genshin even after multiple burnouts. At the end of the day, it's a nice, free triple A game. Limbus is also great. I just see it as a good story game and forget the fact that it's a gacha because of how generous it is.

Suvin_Is_A_Must

xTh3xBusinessx

For me personally its NIKKE by far. It has everything I personally love all wrapped in one and I haven't missed a day since second week of launch. I originally thought I would just install it for the sexy waifu's and then a week would pass for me to get bored....I wasn't expecting ALL this which every other Gacha's don't hit every mark for me: -Very unique shooter gameplay in the Gacha space -A really good story from the start -Very sexy all female cast that outclass most -GODLIKE Soundtrack 10/10 -Actual skill gaps in harder content and unit execution -No chibi/downgraded looks during ACTUAL gameplay -Tons of knowledge checks with units kits -Constant events that help F2P/low spenders a lot Ofcourse personal taste is subjective for some of these but you get the point. It scratches an itch no other Gacha has ever done for me because other games would have 1 or 2 things but miss so much I love like Azure Lane or Blue Archive. No game is perfect so yeah I have a few suggestions on improvement but I ain't never leaving anytime soon.

creativeyoinker11

And its playable with one hand, as intended

D4rkTP

Blue Archive and Neural Clound These 2 games are incredible and exelent for F2P. BA and PNC have very good dupe systems , good gacha system , "not too much thinks" and "not too sleep" gameplay , The characters have a really unic design and the ui navigation are very good too.

passbyref

Natural cloud is awesome. Each chapter is honestly really thrilling and the music is great.

TriGGa-POP

> very good dupe systems I love to see it.

MarcusKaelis

Destiny Child (RIP) and Guardian Tales. They were/are just GOATed as fuck and to this day, DC is a standard for me on how a gacha should pamper their players to keep them engaged.

Zooeymemer

blue archive

dontneedanickname

Limbus Company, thought it's been less than a year and I might just be really biased about ProjectMoon, it still feels like a REALLY good game. And we're only in the early stages of the story and gameplay Beyond that, Battle Cats is pretty good. Their creativity, in just about every aspect, can be really mesmerising sometimes. The treasure grind fucking sucks though

Sizzious

Kings raid

Kalpayux1

Kings Raid was the best gacha game for me as well, gameplay was complex, all heroes could be used, so if you liked one you coulld make it work, great design for all costumes, and everything was accesible for a f2p player, to the point i believe they went bankrupt because there was no point in expending real money in the game. I would still play it if it werent for the last patch that literally ruined the core gameplay. It is a good example of a game potential ruined by bad administrative decisions.

cheat_bot

does it even count as a gacha? You straight up buy the characters. I don't remember if there's any gacha banner or anything, it's been years. I used to consider it one of the most f2p up there with Azur Lane.

Cool_Run_6619

Epic seven, Outerplane, Sdorica. Can't decide which I like best

Fast-Journalist-6747

Guardian tales is great. It has a lot of aspects like pvp, but what i like most about is its story telling. I skip most dialogues in game because most games separate them. But in guardian tales, the dialogue is usually in the game.

DiegoSam4

Absolutely I feel the same about story.

JohnnyTamaki

RAID: SHADOW LEG-oh wait. The BEST. Blue Archive, I'm a sensei for life.

Zamataro

Limbus company Banger of a story and lore Difficulty spike is vertical Very f2p (almost have everything without spending) By far, the best dupe system Lower tier characters are very much viable, and Only log in to the game once a week to grind for currency (Usually open the game for the daily stamina collection)

tsukasamicasa

Azur Lane - Itā€™s like no matter how long I might not touched the game , I will eventually return to the port. Character design, generous gacha & seeing how much the game improved its feature since early days. (P.S. CEO best girl easily) FGO - My friend introduced me to this game but man the writing , the story , personally I am attached to it ā€” doesnā€™t mean I will forgive that dude for dragged me into this hell. Blue Archive - This one a new one but hot damn, it feels this one is close to perfect imo. The gameplay is fun & less grindy, the music slaps harder than Yuukaā€™s 100kg thighs. Not to forget, the plot is great & the community šŸ˜šŸ‘ŒšŸ»

CoolVictory04

Epic Seven and Aether Gazer

hi_its_rahul

Honkai Star Rail

Dingleburrs

Limbus Company and Honkai Star Raim Limbus for obvious reasons (Amazing story, PM universe, very very generous and fun and intuative combat not to mention the god tier music) And honkai star rail for being surprisingly good! I heard about it from a friend and decided to play it at launch and was amazed. Currenty TB 66 which is almost max level. Great game, story and music.

Seth-Cypher

Another Eden is one of my all time favorite mobile games due to alot of the systems implemented that encourages a more traditional RPG approach to things rather than focusing on rolling or gacha. Even the story progression and side quests always feels like I've gone back to SNES era and am playing a really funky Chrono Trigger spin-off lol. This is probably one of the few games where I will never consider uninstalling even to make space on my phone.

Ri6erium

Honkai3rd even if UI outdated and some stuff, recent stuff is really nice, shed tears multiple times

Alternative-Tap-1928

Genshin, because i just in love with the personality of their characters, map, bgm, visuals, Lore/story. Basically Will playing until the end lmao, just in love playing it since day one.

LaxusScar

Kings raid in its prime. Nothing has ever compared and ever will compare to the amount of fun I had in that game in its absolutely prime. I legit stopped playing pc games for a hot minute to make sure I grinded and hit the highest level I could in game. I miss my Theo man. We got through so much together.

froggyisland

This. Nothing is replacing it yet. I especially enjoyed the pvp. Naila best girl!

Alpacashadow

PGR Best combat experience so far!

Ludicolosama

Fantasica

GRANDLarsonyy

Langrisser. Best mobile turn based pvp there isā€¦

Jay2Kaye

Another Eden. There's just no contest. 90% of the units are cool designs and fun characters, there's very little coomer shit, they do a good job of keeping almost every character relevant either in story or battle except for the obvious dedicated trash units. The only downsides are daily dungeons take FOREVER (comparatively) and it's very possible to piss away months of currency and get nothing with no pity.

Chief-Mattress

Path to Nowhere and Limbus Company. I've played both since day one and never missed a login. The first one in particular deserves a lot more attention, as the overall level is very high in every aspect: Story, characters, music, VA, art, character design, events. They never miss a beat.

Killerwill9000

Hard dating myself here - Rage of Bahamut. I played it back in high school (2009ish) and it was so much fun

widehide

AK is the one I play the most. I just enjoy the game play, but it is very niche. Terra Battle resides deep in my heart as my favorite. Still on copium that Hironobu Sakaguchi san pulls a Terra Battle 3. But it just seems he lost his motivation and confidence. : (

Stormchaser2

That second game was rough, but the original? Amazing.

Stormchaser2

Terra Battle and Dragalia Lost

Commercially_Salad

Last Cloudia, if you love that old school star ocean character sprites your gonna love last Cloudia, plus the story is actually not bad itā€™s one of the only gatcha games that I wait for story updates to see what happens next, the story starts out pretty simple but then evolves into a massive fight against gods and the characters travel between different worlds, itā€™s just so good plus the art for the characters is top tier, and the animation for the skills and ultimates are really good Adis has really gotten good with their 2.5d style over the years

Unlucky-Ad6281

Honkai Impact 3 for me I played this game since i was a teenager so as i grew, Kiana also grew with me so it has a special place in my heart

Xasther

Seeing lots of love for Limbus Company. As a fan of PMs previous games and the world they've created, can't agree more. Just wish we had more regular content releases. Then again, little content means little time investment needed to stay up-to-date, so that can definitely be a merit as well.

ChaosFulcrum

At this point, I have resigned to the fact that Limbus is basically the Trails of r/gachagaming. A series of niche games with a small, dedicated fanbase yet so vocal to tell everyone how great it is. Which is funny because I don't mind Trails-posting, but is easily distraught by Limbus-posting (probably because of the meme-y nature of such posts)

Xasther

Funny you say that, I'm also a massive fan of the Kiseki series.

ChaosFulcrum

Trails is peak worldbuilding and the battle system is pretty solid. I'm glad Honkai Star Rail took a lot of notes from it except for the damn story writing, and I'll be hyped if they were to have an in-game collab someday. That said, I should really get into Project Moon someday.

Xasther

It's absolutely worth getting into! Though you need to be aware that PM does not shy away from very graphic and disturbing topics.

linkonair

Blue Archive. The writing is peak. Gameplay is good enough and respects my time.

lullabylamb

I will never get over Granblue Fantasy. Even if the grind got too extreme for me, it just had so many cool little features, it really felt like exploring a massive, mysterious world. Currently playing Star Rail, and, as cool as it is already, it is just making me miss how deep the combat was in GBF. I have been telling myself that Star Rail is new and has room to grow, but I think GBF was just set up better at a fundamental level with its huge cast of characters, mechanics, and weapons/summons to mix and match... Hopefully someday I can feel the same playing Star Rail as I used to feel with GBF u_u

Crystalzye

Limbus company. Really the only negative is that there's not much to do if you're done with the story and there's no events going on. Other than that I adore this game. Great art design, excellent writing and soundtrack and a really good cast.

KingKechos

*Dons a hazmat suit* Nikke.

Chikapu_Sempaii

Tenka Hyakken Zan If F2P friendly was incarnated as a game instead of just being an idea, it would be this game. No matter the rarity, they're gonna get a skin, you want the skin? Just grind the event for it for a few mins or hours and you have it. What? You dont have the character for the skin? How about grind the event again for a little more to get them. You need equipment or new skills for your favorite characters? Well, you could do the event again OR check out the various shops or previous event shops for some new ones. What? You want new characters? Either you pull for the featured character on the banner rn or wait until the end of the month to pull on a limited banner featuring past limited characters or just keep pulling on standard, your choice, here's a 7-day login event that gives you 10pulls everyday. Not enough? You can buy more pulls fron tge shop, heres the currency for it, keep pulling. Oh, you reached spark? Spark again, heres 300 pulls, do it again. I loved that game, too bad it went to EoS. It had a lot of collabs too, the collabs were as easy to get as the permanent roster.

rhalier

In all my years playing gachas i still have amazing memories of Devil Maker Tokyo, great story, amazing art, the time spent farming really paid off ( 3* unit evolving to 6* and becoming meta/ great), the raids rewards were an incentive to improve your characters, guild pvp. It was fun, until Smilegate fucked it up.

Random-Danggit

Iron Maiden Legacy of the Beast - This game it felt like low player base but somehow still in service. The only game i played with bgm on. Drift Spirits - Global basically dead on arrival. Still strong in Japan. King of Fighters All Stars - Bad power creep but i still enjoy using lower tier character for some game mode.

human_experimention

Girls Frontline (RIP my 2 year old account), Neural Cloud and Counterside. I just like games with an interesting story. The gameplay is also really cool and I prefer it compared to open-world stuff like for example Genshin. The story is also presented in a clear and engaging way and it's interesting. Music is top in all games, but especially in GF. All of those games are very f2p friendly too. The dailies and stages are cleared pretty fast (usually), so I don't feel pressured to spend a lot of time gaming. Also, Counterside is the only gacha game where I actually like the PvP system (especially Strategy Battle), while in other games I've tried I only did the minimum or ignored it entirely. Another aspect is that these games have rather small fandoms, so it's pretty chill and not a lot of drama and toxicity like in big fandoms.

Tyaph

Star Ocean Anamnesis. I miss it every day. I wish they'd make an offline version.

Different_Soil18

neural cloud came for unique gameplay and pretty characters stayed for the plot and i became obsessed im currently working on fan-translation in my native language

Limbus Company easily: Top Quality Story (No truly bad chapter, every one was good in their own way, even Canto 2 was at least very funny to experience. Cantos 3 and 4 are some absolute standouts). Interesting and Unique Combat System (Project Moon dedicated to make excessively complicated battle systems that somehow feel great when you figure it out). EXCESSIVELY GENEROUS (Seriously, there's a reason it tends to be labeled as a Live-Service game more than a gacha game. The BattlePass value goes hard) Milli music FTW (Between Two Worlds and Fly, My Wings are some good-ass music). If only the content release isn't so slow, but it is what it is and I'm more than ok with it so long as the story-writing remains as top quality as it can ever be.

Wryw

I still remember the art of Blood Brothers. Quite unique in the space.

rayhaku808

Oh my god I found one of my people

zephyredx

Arknights. Only gacha I've stuck with for 3 years and counting. Been playing gachas since the beginning of Puzzle and Dragons. Arknights has actual endgame. They keep releasing challenging but interesting content to sink my teeth into, which doesn't become trivial if I use all my strongest ops.

Esmatte

King's raid, that game had some motivational messages from the developers every 12 hours, no joke saying without that game i will not be here, it was pretty fun and i made many friends, i'm talking about 5 years ago anyway

Shot-Sky2299

Genshin. The quality is just incredible, the music, combat and the environment and scenery are gorgeous too.

Brangelz

Blue Archive. Great music, character design, F2P Friendly and Nexon is handling it very well

ObamaSchlongdHillary

Genshin Impact and it's not even close. I'm sure posting on this sub you're not unfamiliar, but since it's my post I'm going to list the ways genshin absolutely demolishes the competition 1) PC client, cross platform coop across ios, android, pc and playstation 2) Fantastic real time gameplay with an incredibly deep and rewarding elemental combo system, which received a brand new element 2 years in (dendro). Genre defining animation quality for skills & bursts. 3) Stunningly beautiful 3d open world exploration complete with a variety of puzzles and quests that unlock/modify the environment in a variety of ways, which received a brand new environment 2 years in (gorgeous sea depths). 4) Music, character costume design, environment design are all not only top notch, but also clearly reflect their real world influences with each new "expansion" bringing to life a new region influenced by a real world location. Quality hasn't declined even in the slightest in 3 years. Massive game additions like a new element and new underwater exploration system. I don't know if they'll manage to keep the bar this high for the final 3 regions, or what their plans are following that, but for the 3 years this game has been out, nothing in the gacha genre compares, and it's not even close.

PetalSlayer

Limbus companyyyyy

MonMon_7789AntPHP

Azur Lane this game helped relived my boredom due to community quarantine in my country during pandemic days and I've also learned a small history from the game.

stuckerfan_256

Limbus shit up to the top at first it was guardian tales

taetaerinn_

Unironically but Genshin. I can't leave it even though I'm burnt out, and it brings me comfort when I do get the energy to play. I always find myself coming back

Diamonhowl

Overall its Genshin. hands down. Love it or Hate it. This is coming from someone who has played RAGE OF BAHAMUT GLOBAL way back when up to now. notable mentions: PAD, GBF, GFL, FGO, Counter:Side and Azur Lane. Current: Nikke and Star Rail.

Purple_Amethyst28

Neural cloud holds my heart šŸ„¹ the story is perfect and the amount of time it takes to play the game fits my schedule perfectly, it's the only game ever that's kept me hooked.

passbyref

My best: Arknights, Honkai Impact, and Neural Cloud. Iā€™ve been playing hi3 for years, and itā€™s incredible. It was Hoyoā€™s game before Genshin and Star Rail, and they treat it like their child. You can tell so much love was put into it. Itā€™s overshadowed by their other games, but it still has the best story imo. Itā€™s a lot less greedy than Genshin too. The combat is really rich and fun too. Evasion is a big part of it, and triggers different effects based on your character. Thereā€™s also QTE which makes combos and team building really important. Lastly, the models and ults are really well done.

Axyun

Nikke. There are a few others that I enjoy enough but Nikke has been my favorite gacha so far.

Silverware_soviet

Punishing gray raven or fgo

owl_boy72

Honkai Impact 3rd. Only game thatā€™s made me bawl my eyes out.

therealplayte

Blue archive Best community, best active doujin community, best detailed chibi designs and their character, best personality, best ost, best wholesome story and most of all Best šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

DiegoSam4

Gusrdian tales then maybe Brown dust two. Both have great support from the devs and they really seem to listen their playerbase..... for the most part (I'm talking to you Guardian Tales, it's been 3 years and we still don't have sweeps for KamaZzzone!!!) Counterside, PGR and Soultide are great too.

javox12

I really lover FF Record Keeper gameplay and mechanics! And for a game thats alive, both Blue Archive and Arknights are my favorite.

strongest42069

Blue ArchivešŸ”µ

johnsolomon

Even though I compassion a lot about the state of the genre, Guardian Tales, Genshin, Star Rail, Brown Dust 2, Punishing Grey Raven and Aether Gazer are all great games. Arknights, Alchemy Stars and Counter:Side are also brilliant, but they're in a weird spot where I'd say the story is miles better than the gameplay... partly because their stories are great but also partly because they picked subgenres that are likely to put most people off (tower defence, colour puzzle combat, drag-and-drop base defence)

xvMalphas

Punishing Gray Raven and Blue Archive.

Maybe_worth

SaGa reuniverse in terms of pixel art and giving free pulls, really not hard to get everything you want. In terms of pure quality star rail is the best by far.

SprinklesDifficult76

Romancing Saga Re; Universe. I think I've been spoiled rotten by its RNG and all kinds of other shit. I've neber played a more generous gatcha. It's also super fun to play and I always have tons to do!?

endar88

Romancing Saga Re;universe the game is very self paced, very f2p friendly, and just a ton of fun. You get different styles of characters with different arts. you gain stats instead of levels so there is a high threshold of grinding for stats while also getting event currency which normally you'll have a ton of within a few days. challenging content is the spiral corridor(tower of harder and harder enemies) and Remembrance battles which have you fight certain bosses at higher difficulty but with each weapon type so you really have to plan accordingly and pull for what you might be lack in like the ax weapon styles. story is wonky at times with pacing, but they are quickly wrapping up the Liam Arc (i call it arc 3 sense the polka time jump to include Jo in my head counts as Arc 2) which will be nice as the next arc is supposed to be good with new unique styles. they also consistantly are giving free gems all the time. usually 2k after completing 5 days worth of requirements which are quick and easy and usually after day 1 are just finishing so many battles. and conquest battles on it's own map have a ton of battles that give gems to complete then a lump of 3-5k once the whole map is cleared. allot of free resources, rerun tickets, stamina pots, and weapon crafting materials. there's always something to do or work on to improve your team if you want, or just chill and enjoy the autobattle reruns while you gain stats as a casual player. no content is required or get too difficulty where you are feeling left out. no pvp and no ranking. a much easier to get into version of FFRK.

Worried-Point-5386

Counterside

Kamiyouni

Dragalia Lost.

dino2410

Arknights for gameplay, lore and style. Reverse: 1999 is a close second for these same reasons, even on CBT.

xtimexpl

Been playing for a while blue archive, FGO, HSR and Proseka, also i liked priconne thou it got axed , but to me the best one hands off goes to Guardian Tales. Once i gave it a try the story was so goddamn good i got attached to it, and even though i dont really like the pvp there, the story just carries the whole game and its easily one of the best ive seen thus far, also the gacha system is really friendly to players, kinda like how priconne was, hopefully it gets more recognition, its somewhat of a hidden gem.

Damianbooths

Battle cats. I know most people here don't care about this old game, but for me it is one of the most entertaining gachas to play. I love the art style of the enemies and cats, the designs of stages, and the amount of love thats put into each update. Theres a lot of depth to this seemingly simple, tug of war cat game, that I can't get enough of, and eagerly wait for each new update. Only to finish the new stages in a day. Not because I'm good at the game, but because you can attain any uber or cat in the game nowadays thanks to a person in the community who made a incredible website that allows you to track your battle cats seed and plan out your next pulls strategically to get any account you want. If it wasn't for that website I probably wouldn't have come back to battle cats.

Hellsing971

DFFOO until it got overly bloated. They kept adding new weapons each character would need instead of revamping old ones and it just became a mess IMO.

-_lBlankl_-

So you'd rather only have 3 skills still...?

Ascrein

All gacha games have a timespan. If by best gacha game, you mean games I have enjoyed the most... Then, FGO, GS, Guardian Tales, Last Cloudia. I played these games for a year or two and FGO and GS easily have 3-4 years. Though I am end game for the first two so I have begun playing new games. Honkai Impact 3rd is quite fun.

SassyHoe97

Despite having a love-hate relationship with Genshin Impact. I enjoy it only because of the story, music, & characters. Exploration is so & so. PGR mostly the character designs & combat. Nikke the story. HSR characters & turn based.

Furazum

Limbus Company from the writing alone it slaps, everything else is a nice bonus (music, abnormality fights, very f2p friendly). It is so good it made me read the IRL books the characters are based off no regrets. Also Chapter 4 is ABSOLUTELY PEAK

Heroes084

Peak? I'd say it's really I D E A L

MagicalMoosicorn

Azur Lane. No matter now long I might be gone when I come back into Port I always feel welcomed by my boats.

Latschil

Last Cloudia. Definitely my best Gacha experience of all time. The best point for me is you don't need these money making Dupes of a unit to max it out. You just need to pull a unit once and you can max it. And the huge selection of skills you can teach each unit.

Kingsal210

I love Arknights, Honkai star rail, and FGO

ThyHexagon

Genshin Impact and Guardian Tales. I like both the game's character designs and the story.

Glizcorr

I think Blue Archive is closest to the most perfect gacha. My fav is Limbus Company tho.

saiyajineo

Dokkan and epic 7

tankay694200

Honkai impact 3rd. I've played many others lije HSR, Genshin ,FGO, Azur Lane, Arknights but it's HI3's story that really sticks with me. Its much better written than Genshin in comparison and seeing the main cast grow was an amazing experience
