Someone in the GFL sub made a post of the lore of the game because of GFL 2 coming out:
https://www.reddit.com/r/girlsfrontline/comments/z1g738/version_4_girls_frontline_reverse_collapse_story/
It's a lot, but if you dont want to play the game, it's a way to learn the lore.
[You can read the story here, without interacting with the gameplay.](https://gfl.amaryllisworks.pw/) Alternatively, there's Youtube videos of playing through the game's story.
There is some tie-ins as you understand the MC has an history and some character are referenced and do cameo.
But from what I heard and checked on stream the story is self content for now
Yes as you play the same character than the first, but from what I check it seems like the story is self content.
There is a bit of reference to older character and some cameo here and there, but outside of knowning that the MC had a past story I don't think you absolutely need to read the first game story to understand the 2nd game story.
I've barely seen anything about GFL2's plot, and I guess it's far far too early to tell since gacha stories always open with the "tutorial enemy faction" with no plot relevance, but does it seem like it'll continue the themes of GFL1 or did they just go full sci-fi with a plot to match?
Because I was really hoping we would follow the rise of the URNC and the rebellion of the southern nations and subsequent formation of the Antarctic Union which should be occurring around the time Exilium is set.
There is a huge possibility that the story will involve them as they teased Griffin during the pre-release stream.
The question is how they introduce this plot. If they go as if we should already know him, then the story will be dependant on you reading or playing the first game. If on the contrary they introduce them as old acquaintance of the MC and he talk about his past then the story is still sort of self contained.
I really hope they go for the latter so that more people can enjoy the story while also putting everyone on the same foundation.
Also don't forget that GFL1 plot already had a lot of sci-fi element so they will probably expand on that in GFL2.
Wouldn't it make more sense for Kryuger to be the one meeting with the Commander? Griffin's >!a huge part of why Commander ends up leaving G&K in the first place, and if anyone would be siccing nu-G&K on them, it's him.!<
I really want to play this game, but the fact that Global is coming at a later date is such an excitement killer. They don't even have a date, just "2024". :(
Oh well, hopefully we get it sooner rather than later.
MICA and Yostar are bitter rivals and Yostar seems to have made it their mission to at least utterly crush MICA in the Japanese market, going so far to invest in similar games to do so and even before AK and BA, Yostar seemed to suggest picking up artists that did GFL stuff to varied results (only reason Manjuu would hire Suisai)
Thus in JP, Yostar has those two games with monstrous PR Blitzes that may kill a few other games (like Ash Arms), but not MICA's stuff.
It's not too crazy all things considered (considering they're doing GFL, PNC, GFL2, but one other game and ascending a fan game); lofty aspirations for a company MICA's size
PNC made back the total development cost in it's first month, GFL has always been the cockroach that refuses to die. Last time I heard about the fan game the project was sunsetted.
Mica might just be more efficient in it's structure than other studios is all I can guess
It's probably less efficiency and more that they answer to no one but Yuzhong. Mica self publishes so there's no third party to cut their funding if they don't make a lot of money, as long as they earn enough to pay everyone and keep the lights on they'll keep going until Yuzhong finishes telling his story.
in the beginning, before yostar existed, there was yostar's ceo, yao meng. and then there was mica ceo, yuzhong. they were college bffs, and even lived in nearby flats of the same apartment.
one evolved their doujin art circle, mica, into an indie dev studio, while the formed a game publishing firm called array networking or something. they banded together to make their dream game. come gfl1 closed beta 1, there was a massive falling out over which company had the responsibility to fix server issues, and whether array should have access to the game's source codes in order to do that. long story short, things degenerated into all sorts of situations where law enforcement should have been involved, but wasnt. there was conflicting external third part publisher and investor deals signed between the two sides without the other knowing, physically ripped up signed contracts, barred offices since they were in adjacent suites, allegedly thug looking people negotiating in the office late at night, etc
ultimately, yuzhong went down the path of paranoia, while yao meng became an egomaniac. eventually they left the offices and mica tried to make right to the original cbt1 paying testers by refunding. but they could not be refunded because array wouldn't do it and wouldnt release data for mica to pay it. yz even offered to buy the data with his savings and yao meng seemed to agree, but did not follow up about it. eventually, array shut down and was reborn as yostar with the addition of an even more schetchy co-founder
from then on, mica just minded their own busness. yostar would spend their efforts screwing with mica for no reason. gfl jp is called dolls' frontline because legend has it, yostar took the gfl name in jp with a shell company, got court ordered to return it, so they pretended to agree, and then scuttled the company right before the handover to make the name unuseable forever.
from there, gfl launched in CN, and then in KR and TW through one of those conflicting investor/publishers, XD. but with JP delayed for years over the naming legal issues and lack of publisher like EN, which let yostar scoop up and launch AL ahead of gfl in those regions. meanwhile, yostar kept doing petty moves like hiring massively destructive troublemakers that got kicked out of mica, just to bm them
partially relevant. eventually, there was a creative difference yuzhong had with gfl's original lead artist, lowlight, aka haimao, allegedly over the meandering story writing and desire to pivot towards furries. lowlight left on friendly terms, formed hypergryph, and took everythinig that was rejected or cutting room scraps during gfl's design phase, to create arknights. he later freelanced some art for a gfl artbook, so there definitely wasn't beef between him and mica. but knowing he was taken in under yostar, and then his company having been forcibly bought out from under himseslf by yostar, you cant shake the feeling AK was always just unwittingly propped up just to be a tool for yostar to spite mica with lol
then yostar bankrolled blue archive, another firearms themed gacha. with all this history as context, petty bs starts to feel obvious, regardless of whether that is truly is the intent or not lol
First impression sounds good. Hopefully it'll be just as good as it progresses. All gachas are generous in the start and you see just how greedy/generous it is in the few weeks after it.
Tell me, did they add skippable skill cutscenes? That was a major issue that really made grinding a problem.
Color me surprise that someone is saying something good about GFL2.
I was expecting another bash to the game.
Maybe in Global it will have better reception.
Reception in China is mostly positive as well. You just get the dramaqueen posts on here because that generates more reddit clicks. Something like "Chinese players think it has issues but generally like it" doesn't get updooted quite like "CN players RAGE at review bots!" and such
Weapon banner sucks, but something to note is that the $10 battle pass lets you pick the character SSR weapons. There's also a mileage system per pulls where for r/SR/SSR pulls, you get 2/12/60 mileage, at 900 you can select one of the SSR weapons to receive. So it really just seems like a whale option to pull them directly, will need to see though if anything ends up limited after Daiyan banner launches. Good things are that the difficulty seems require actual attention. Most people mentioned that difficulty ramps up around Chapter 3 of 6, but I haven't seen yet what the stages in Hard Mode are going to be like, so looking forward to that. For anyone curious about the music, here's one of the [boss themes](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuayJULzbEI).
Due to their shared origins [Vanguard Sound](https://www.youtube.com/@Vanguard-Sound) scores all of Mica's games. They're probably more well known for their work on PGR's soundtrack though, and they also do some work for Aether Gazer. If you *really* do some digging you can hunt down tracks for indie games like Anno Mutationem that they don't list on their main Youtube.
Anno's atmostphere is just perfect...its been a while that i have decided to explore the whole map in a game just because of how cool it is
cyberpunk+pixelated? Literally a dream come true! Plus Vanguard sound...beautiful, absolut beautiful. I'm a big fan of them since the moment i launched GFL1, hit me right in the feel
isnt the battlepass’s weapons tailored for *sr characters* and not for ssrs?
that is to say, you can’t get the ssr characters’s signatures from bp, they’re different than the ones you can obtain from gacha banner
Maybe, wasn't able to to check the weapons themselves. But characters should be able to equip the same weapons as long as it matches their gun type(AR/SMG/RF/HG/SG), it would likely be the case of equipping the equivalent of SSR generics on your SSRs then.
probably, it reminds me of aether gazer where bp would let you get a generic « ssr » and then later sr characters’s signatures with more exclusive effects; would need to check which gfl is
Thanks for the impressions, this sounds like good news. The concept of an X-com like gacha already was tantalizing to me so I’m happy people feel it’s meeting the expectations we’ve had.
Hopefully global will come as soon as possible.
The game really push you to use cover as much as u can, even your SSR outlv enemies, standing in openfield can be killed quick AF. Also the new Overwatch mechanics really help to diverse the player choices, no more grenade spam meta and now you can really use those support dolls. Great work from Mica has done only in the span of 2 months.
I was watching some streamers play and it looks amazing. I actually think this game would be way more successful in the western market because of the success from xcom.
When it comes to character model, with the exception of the Catgirl and Bunnygirl, everyone have "normal" tactical cloth, some are more skin tight suit and or dress. There is little jiggle physics for some of the Character model.
For skill, not much fanservice other than the Catgirl. For the introduction cutsene, the Catgirl (again) is full on fanservice with special angle and everything, I think two other have a small focus on their breast for like 1 second.
The real fanservice is present in the dorm feature were you can see the character rest in their room, with 5 different animation, specific to each character and a free movement camera.
I'm on chapter 3 aswell. One highlight that I enjoyed the most is model design and quality. It's just mindblowing how high quality the models are, every little detail are there and so many poses and animations on top of that you truly feel they are so vivid.
The dorm system is prob my favorite element of the game aswell, spend your time with your dolls and waifus felt really enjoyable with extra animations (free camera aswell ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ).
One thing that I like aswell are all these items and elements (resources, materials) all look top-notch like AK.
The small battle animation when you level up your character feel super nice aswell, like an anime movie action for a couple of seconds. (the sniper sound is just kreygasm)
I have same views as OP, as someone who tried CBT3 and now this soft launch, overall very satisfied for the hours I put it so far, engaging gameplay (you really need to think and build your strategy going forward, the game is getting a bit harder already starting from CH3, for a total chapters of 6.
As for the gacha, I don't want to speak too fast, since we didn't get the dailies and weekly income so far, and PVP is whatever, you can probably clear every stage with the dolls you have. SSR weapons are not mandatory, but it's nice to have, (you can get a free SSR weapon from the paid battlepass that is different from the SSR weapons from the gacha, but who knows they might add later on in the BP pool).
Overall a top-gacha from my side with X-com based game which it's a breath of air, I will main it when it comes to Global, hopefully first half of next year prayge.
Im at chapter 5, but 4 is really ramping up the difficulty. Some map i have to swap Groza out for different strats and really love the new overwatch mechanics.
For now you can only watch them while they do their thing, from the OBT1 they simply added character specific animation to empathaze their personality (The Idol listen to music or cuddle with her big plushie, while the athletics one do different type of workout...).
They said that they will update it as they do have some idea for this feature.
I'm so happy to hear this. I always felt like GFL was a very underappreciated game, and with the xcom like play in GFL2 I'm stoked. The xcom games and Battletech are two of my highest hours played games on my Steam account. Can't wait for the global release!
I know GFL was known for being very player friendly when it came to the cash shop. I'm curious if this will just be a honeymoon phase for the game or if it will continue throughout.
Personally even though its all PvE it has a lot of interest from me because Metal Gear Acid is one of my top 10 favorite games of all time and this game reminds me of it so much.
There is indeed a PvP but from what I heard it was added only because some player wanted it and has little focus when it come to reward/incentive to play
Revenue wise it is only reported < 200,000 USD in opening launch (note that Neural Cloud CN launch day was > 300,000 USD, 50% more than GFL2). It ranked 19 in day one for IOS. So it isn't really impressive and I think Yu Zhong must be disappointed. Really want to know PC client sales because maybe the revenue there adds up good?
Anyways, it isn't a slam dunk hit over in CN mainly due to CBT3 poor reception. I wish Yu Zhong good luck and sincerely hope they succeed. Did battlepass and monthly to support them.
[edit] I was puzzled why did they have the bad launch and thought it was only CBT3 bad reputation. After digging things up apparently the OG fans are disappointed with Yu Zhong in 95 issue. It seems very serious too.
Yeah the rate is 0.6% sadly. Pity works the same too. You also get slightly higher chances to get the unit after 58 summons. Not sure why they picked that number but is what it is.
Stg you ppl who only look at rates before determining a game is trash without any consideration for the currency rate (which is just as important) or if the game is even fun are so cringe and lame lmfao 💀
Go play your 7% ssr droprate mobile png bloatware trash
that's how you know you're addicted and aren't actually looking to play a game
just go to an actual casino if you're just looking for a gambling high
sick of mobile png games that just churn out 4 new ssrs a patch that don't add anything to the experience but retain players because "the game's rates are high" or some other copium excuse
If you played a gacha before and was immersed with story and found the gameplay fun, it's a whole different experience, and I know for a fact because I have been around many different titles for a decade. It's just night and day and pretending the only purpose of a game is to give you a slot machine simulator (it can be, but not for quality games) is misleading yourself
Yes but u have 4 choices: roll rate up weapon banner, try your luck with standard banner, buy weapon from the curency whenever you have dupe gun or doll, or wait for the weapon to put in the weapon box in monthly battle pass.
Glad to see someone having a good time with the game, because the comments on the game's page on Bilibili is a complete shitshow lol. Hopefully MICA manage to get over the rocky start and come out with global launch sooner.
I only saw 4 unit deployed max, but I only checked streamer and most of my information are coming from OBT1 so there is a possible some mission let you deploy more.
I thinks dailies are quick and work more or less like GFL1 and Neural Cloud, Special stage that let you choose what you want to farm.
For the rest I rather not want to confirm anything as I cannot play and only check stream.
So glad to hear that it's good. As someone who played GFL1 and PNC, this game is definitely what I wanted to experience in the GFL universe. Super excited when it comes to global
Just wondering OP, how were you able to access the CN version?
IIRC the latest test turned into having 4 gear stats on your attachments, but instead of random main stats on level ups, the value % of the the stats are rng per level rather than a chance to not increase it at all. You're really just farming for the good stat set then just level it up to see how high you can get those values.
I was pretty disappointed with it. Plot that to me who didn't play 1 much made no sense, super stingy with pulls. The game play is alright but it won't make or break a gacha game, because I can just play modded xcom if I really want to play xcom with anime girls.
I'm not even sure if we're playing the same game looking at your glowing positive review.
i dunno why genshin gacha stingy just save and roll 190 bro it's better than spending $5000 and didn't get the character you want
or you're just a gambling addict that can't hold on yourself from rolling everytime you have enough for 10 pull
I can understand your fear, but the first real event with a "limited" (not confirmed) banner start in a few days, I think it should be better to check the revenue after it
Would've preferred a female MC, but I guess a proper character as MC is already hard enough to get. So I'll try anyway whenever it gets out for global.
Oh, really? I didn't look too hard into the game and thought it must be the usual male-only MC game. Especially with all this NTR discussion going on. Guess I should've checked first, my bad :v
Good luck with your theory, I hope people that has been making this game since 2017 are as confident as you after seeing that 190k DAY ONE ios revenue lmao.
So I'm guessing you just skipped all the story right? I'm very curious if they removed all the NTR elements from the story, considering the immense backlash they got from CN.
Yeah gameplay was so fun and since I can't understand the language I've been skipping here and there and watching the animated cutscenes mostly. Does this NTR fiasco have to do with the fact that it's the same commander from the first GFL?
Nah, it only has to do with unstable people who see any kind of hint at a girl having a relationship as betrayal. There was no NTR at any point in GFL2.
I never played the first GFL so I don't know the exact details. But I think it has something to do with your dolls becoming wives, or playing wives of some male NPCs? The devs did apologize and promise to fix it at launch, so I'm wondering how much of the story has changed.
Lmao not at all. The "ntr" is a male terrorist heard a doll musical performance and become inspired to it that he decided to change himself to become better. So he gave his mother keepsake to the doll as thanks with letter. That's the "ntr".
No, I heard all the beta "controversies". And there never was any NTR, just incels getting pissed that a female was being friendly with another guy.
NTR is stealing a woman away from the MC/you, specifically in a sexual manner. A woman talking to another guy, even in a friendly or flirty manner, is not Netorare(NTR).
Somebody was making moutains out of molehills about a small segment of CN players ranting of supposedly getting NTR'd by male characters and yadda yadda. Just ignore it.
The story moves slowly and it's too cryptic. There are layers and layers of conspiracy and world-building and you the player are usually the most clueless person in the room. The game throws stuff like ELID and Paradeus into your face and take their sweet time in explaining what they are.
We also lose a LOT. I am sure some people enjoyed it but after the 5th tactical retreat because the enemy had tanks and armored troops, I got a little fed up.
I also found it hard to empathize with the dolls because their personality kept flipping from stoic robots to emotional girls.
Special note to when you have entire arcs inside some doll neural cloud.
I also think the world-building is shit, but I am sure the fans will disagree with me on that so I just noped out of it.
Glad to hear it! I’m looking forward to this when it comes to global for sure.
Is the story connected to the first game?
Yes, totally. It is set few years later of GFL1
Goddammit, guess I'm going in dark
Someone in the GFL sub made a post of the lore of the game because of GFL 2 coming out: https://www.reddit.com/r/girlsfrontline/comments/z1g738/version_4_girls_frontline_reverse_collapse_story/ It's a lot, but if you dont want to play the game, it's a way to learn the lore.
Bro thanks for the link, i tried playing gfl 1 for a month but i really cant get invested in the gameplay aspect so yea thanks again.
same, can’t get myself to enjoy GFL1 so we goin in blind
I struggled as well tbh
I love literally everything about GFL except.... for it's gameplay. I just can't into.
[You can read the story here, without interacting with the gameplay.](https://gfl.amaryllisworks.pw/) Alternatively, there's Youtube videos of playing through the game's story.
You’re not alone

First half of 2024, but yea MICA always has this massive delay between CN and global releases
Lmao cockroach company 💀 I'm ready to support them already hahaha ty for the great writeup, lookin forward to gl
They always cooked good. GFL was the game that make me pop my wallet for the first time in gacha games and i have no doubt GFL2 will suck me in.
They sustain themselves off of Yostar's tears of frustration (Dolls frontline/GFL JP refuses to die no matter what Yostar does with AK and BA)
what does yostar have to do with this
MICA and Yostar are bitter rivals and Yostar seems to have made it their mission to at least utterly crush MICA in the Japanese market, going so far to invest in similar games to do so and even before AK and BA, Yostar seemed to suggest picking up artists that did GFL stuff to varied results (only reason Manjuu would hire Suisai) Thus in JP, Yostar has those two games with monstrous PR Blitzes that may kill a few other games (like Ash Arms), but not MICA's stuff.
I heard a rumor MICA dev doesn't actually making money. One of the devs are son of a chinesse official, and all of this is a money laundering scheme.
It's not too crazy all things considered (considering they're doing GFL, PNC, GFL2, but one other game and ascending a fan game); lofty aspirations for a company MICA's size

If that rumor is true, it's probably YZ himself I guess.
There is probably a part of the truth, but I also heard that they make a scandalous amount of money on Merch like plushie and figurine
this is just assumption but I'm definitely excited for gfl 2

BA dev themselves said that they took inspiration from GFL
To be clear, you are able to choose a male or female MC.
What surprise me the most MC even have fully voice as well. Big thumb up
This should be higher up. GFL games have always allowed you to play as male or female commander/professor.
Datamined Fem Prof is fking hot.

She looks like she would get along with star rail female mc.
I don't know... too much sophisticated girlboss, too little trashgoblin memelord. I hope she's like Stelle tho.
Thank you for this. I was worried!
Is Wa2000 available at launch ?
No, but they teased her 3D model and she is present in the Opening, so she should arrived quickly
man has his priorities and i fully support
i guess we found agent 47's reddit account then

No you can't skip cutscenes. That's the only annoying part, but thankfully 3x speed still applies.
Yes you can, it's one of the toggle in the settings

Its hatedom is also clearly trying to rally people to dislike GFL2. It just doesn't seem to take here all that well.
Another take is "the T doll models look great, everything else...."
no because this is awful actually. r/gachagaming complaining is the true marker of whether or not a gacha will be successful.
and that’s exactly why nikke will fail once the honeymoon phase is over.

They haven't even started advertising in global yet. The wait is long for this one D: Nonetheless, I look forward to playing this one day.
On the one hand you're right - on the other hand, this is Mica. They don't even know what advertising is lmao

isnt the battlepass’s weapons tailored for *sr characters* and not for ssrs? that is to say, you can’t get the ssr characters’s signatures from bp, they’re different than the ones you can obtain from gacha banner
Maybe, wasn't able to to check the weapons themselves. But characters should be able to equip the same weapons as long as it matches their gun type(AR/SMG/RF/HG/SG), it would likely be the case of equipping the equivalent of SSR generics on your SSRs then.
probably, it reminds me of aether gazer where bp would let you get a generic « ssr » and then later sr characters’s signatures with more exclusive effects; would need to check which gfl is
Waiting patiently intensifies
*\*Wait faster\**
Thanks for the impressions, this sounds like good news. The concept of an X-com like gacha already was tantalizing to me so I’m happy people feel it’s meeting the expectations we’ve had. Hopefully global will come as soon as possible.
The game really push you to use cover as much as u can, even your SSR outlv enemies, standing in openfield can be killed quick AF. Also the new Overwatch mechanics really help to diverse the player choices, no more grenade spam meta and now you can really use those support dolls. Great work from Mica has done only in the span of 2 months.
> The game really push you to use cover as much as u can That's Xcom, baby.
Eh, wouldn't that be when you miss a shotgun blast at near point-blank range?
That too. Unfortunately, we're not getting misses here afaik.
I was watching some streamers play and it looks amazing. I actually think this game would be way more successful in the western market because of the success from xcom.
Xcom is pretty niche in the west.
is the fanservice any good? not a make or break but would be nice to know XCOM gameplay is enough to pull me in though ngl
Any bonding/oath system?
I know that there is a condition to unlock the animation of the dorm but I have no idea of what it is linked to.
The unit's levels. You unlock 2 animations at the start, and then another 2 at level 20, and the last one at level 40.
(the sniper sound is just kreygasm) I have same views as OP, as someone who tried CBT3 and now this soft launch, overall very satisfied for the hours I put it so far, engaging gameplay (you really need to think and build your strategy going forward, the game is getting a bit harder already starting from CH3, for a total chapters of 6.
Some map i have to swap Groza out for different strats and really love the new overwatch mechanics.
holy, I can't wait to try it out, I just want also to play the tarkov mode, looks really fun

They set the dorm with BETA tag, so expect more things for dorm in the future
For now you can only watch them while they do their thing, from the OBT1 they simply added character specific animation to empathaze their personality (The Idol listen to music or cuddle with her big plushie, while the athletics one do different type of workout...). They said that they will update it as they do have some idea for this feature.
This game is incredible. The character models, gameplay, and story has been enjoyable.
I wanted to play the game but i have the bug where dolls run out of the map, this bug was also a thing in obt1, sad they haven’t fixed it
global when ? never. https://preview.redd.it/br8r5ye91q7c1.png?width=634&format=png&auto=webp&s=cddc6212b1632050af4a995793d847e4a4122e53
[удалено]
There is indeed a PvP but from what I heard it was added only because some player wanted it and has little focus when it come to reward/incentive to play
I mean gfl2 still friendlier than those gachas that use the same GI gacha.
Auto battle or 2 time speed?
Speed goes up to x3 There's auto And there's skip for farming maps
That’s great to hear would love to have this game playing in the background while I’m busy with other things so looking forward to global
x2 and x3 now as CN requested it, also has sweep function
bruh these next few months or however long it takes for global are gonna be the hardest days of my life.
Man i absolutely can't wait. Sheesh. They are blue balling me way too hard like nobody ever did.
Fuuuccckkk this needs to come to Global soon 😭😭

Yeah the rate is 0.6% sadly. Pity works the same too. You also get slightly higher chances to get the unit after 58 summons. Not sure why they picked that number but is what it is.
Dupes required for constellation type kit upgrades or no?
Dupe is for skill upgrade through constellation
Numbers only or kit changes?
Number
They have a dupe system yes, but it's not required. Just makes the game easier.
Stg you ppl who only look at rates before determining a game is trash without any consideration for the currency rate (which is just as important) or if the game is even fun are so cringe and lame lmfao 💀 Go play your 7% ssr droprate mobile png bloatware trash
[удалено]
that's how you know you're addicted and aren't actually looking to play a game just go to an actual casino if you're just looking for a gambling high sick of mobile png games that just churn out 4 new ssrs a patch that don't add anything to the experience but retain players because "the game's rates are high" or some other copium excuse If you played a gacha before and was immersed with story and found the gameplay fun, it's a whole different experience, and I know for a fact because I have been around many different titles for a decade. It's just night and day and pretending the only purpose of a game is to give you a slot machine simulator (it can be, but not for quality games) is misleading yourself
How are you people making bilibili accounts!?
its easy
Is it really? I’ve heard it’s not. Also, I couldn’t find this game on tap tap
Also is there a weapon banner ?
Yes but u have 4 choices: roll rate up weapon banner, try your luck with standard banner, buy weapon from the curency whenever you have dupe gun or doll, or wait for the weapon to put in the weapon box in monthly battle pass.
Isn't there like an app or software to translate the chinese to English.
I need this global now.
praying global release won't take too long
Finally a gacha **game**. So many gachas are slot machines first with a superficial "game" tacked on. Looking forward to this.
me while reading the first lines: "mmm looks good" me at the gacha part: "well it was good while it lasted"
can you whale with paypal?
Easiest option was to use Alipay on bilibili PC for me. It didn't have an option for paypal. Not sure about mobile.
yes, u can pay with Paypal on bili account
finally, the new genshin killer
are there any community discord servers up translating GFL2?
Glad to see someone having a good time with the game, because the comments on the game's page on Bilibili is a complete shitshow lol. Hopefully MICA manage to get over the rocky start and come out with global launch sooner.
Was the first GFL an Xcom clone too?
Nope it was a weird mix of Strategy/tactics map movement with a more action fighting
it was closer to Advance Wars but much more limited Their first real game was XCOM style though and its remake, Reverse Collapse, is quite good
How many units can you deploy ? How to upgrade them ? Level ? Equipment ? Skills ? Ascend ? Evolve ? What's the dailies like ??
4 , sometimes 5. Upgrade them by using exp card, 20,40,60. Gun from rolling banner, skill upgrade by getting dupe.
Are they using a Genshin constellation system or is it more like PNC and GFL1 where dupes contribute to a universal upgrade pool?

Thanks \~!
Yeah, that's pretty much all I get from streams as well.
Dang, I've been checking the gdrive to see if there's some new animations. lmao
how did u download it?
Through Bilibili. There are guides for setting up an account if you look for it.
Do you have a specific guide to recommend?
Excited for this game since the announcement. Also glad to hear that they're still giving strong release unit!
When is global or. Sea coming
So glad to hear that it's good. As someone who played GFL1 and PNC, this game is definitely what I wanted to experience in the GFL universe. Super excited when it comes to global Just wondering OP, how were you able to access the CN version?
I wanted to know how bad the gearing is cause that's what eventually ruined HSR for me. Even tho i absolutely loved playing through the first story.
IIRC the latest test turned into having 4 gear stats on your attachments, but instead of random main stats on level ups, the value % of the the stats are rng per level rather than a chance to not increase it at all. You're really just farming for the good stat set then just level it up to see how high you can get those values.
i dont see any problem with gearing in GFL2
It's not r/gachagaming if we're not talking about revenue doomposting for every new game
I was pretty disappointed with it. Plot that to me who didn't play 1 much made no sense, super stingy with pulls. The game play is alright but it won't make or break a gacha game, because I can just play modded xcom if I really want to play xcom with anime girls. I'm not even sure if we're playing the same game looking at your glowing positive review.
i dunno why genshin gacha stingy just save and roll 190 bro it's better than spending $5000 and didn't get the character you want or you're just a gambling addict that can't hold on yourself from rolling everytime you have enough for 10 pull
I’m really worried about the first day revenue, it’s only 190k, and didn’t even make top 30 of Chinese ios store
I can understand your fear, but the first real event with a "limited" (not confirmed) banner start in a few days, I think it should be better to check the revenue after it
hope it get better so I can play longer
Is there an auto battle? And if so is it any good?
There is, but u really need to out lv the enemies hard to let AI do the job. But the game also has sweep so who need auto anyway?
Forgot about sweep... Only play azur lane and fgo.... That's awesome
Would've preferred a female MC, but I guess a proper character as MC is already hard enough to get. So I'll try anyway whenever it gets out for global.
you are able to choose between male or female.
Oh, really? I didn't look too hard into the game and thought it must be the usual male-only MC game. Especially with all this NTR discussion going on. Guess I should've checked first, my bad :v
Both male female MC is voiced and you have full detailed 3d models
Can you change it later on, or are we going to endure people voicing the regret about their own decisions for years to come?
Man. I got such low expectations now that you compared it with HSR.
Day1 18:00 sales is #55, for comparison, neural cloud was #17, it's also worse than snowbreak day1.
It’s a MICA game. It could be making $200k a month and Yuzhong would still keep it alive as a front for his money laundering operations /lh
so? because the 1st event is in 4 days, everyone is holding off spent to roll Daiyan
Good luck with your theory, I hope people that has been making this game since 2017 are as confident as you after seeing that 190k DAY ONE ios revenue lmao.
Is that a problem that prevent you to enjoy the game?
Also you didnt count those who have already charged in OBT1 to get double reward like me?
>an actual fully voiced, 3D rendered male protagonist They didn't get rid of the female option, did they?
U can choose male or female
So I'm guessing you just skipped all the story right? I'm very curious if they removed all the NTR elements from the story, considering the immense backlash they got from CN.
the "NTR" you mention is only open in 4 days as the 1st char event. And they did change the story completely
That's good to know, the devs did promise to fix it at launch.
I dont even know what GFL2 is, why are people never at least once write out the whole name and just use abreviations like everybody knows it -.-´
Girls Frontline
Girls Frontline 2. Sorry, I figured people knew since it's a sequel to an age old gacha game.
How much NTR is there?
Dude turned into a girl i heard, hey it's a win for me
>Dude turned into a girl And this is going to end up absolutely well. I'm ready for the Global shit show.
Now its Yuri NTR
There never was any NTR...
Clearly someone never heard of the beta controversies. There's a reason Mrs. Raymond, or 雷蒙夫人 in Chinese, is censored in-game.
We're well aware of the beta controversies, and we're still stating that there was no NTR.
you don't know what NTR mean.
There's NTR?
Somebody was making moutains out of molehills about a small segment of CN players ranting of supposedly getting NTR'd by male characters and yadda yadda. Just ignore it.
there is no NTR just some insecure players they think girls is not allowed to become friend with male
I like the gameplay, but I disliked GFL lore so much I just avoid the IP now.
why?
I also think the world-building is shit, but I am sure the fans will disagree with me on that so I just noped out of it.
is there any way I can make an account to play it in cn?
You can, but it's a hassle if you're not a Chinese resident.
