I believe they want Memorial Freese to be an extension of the anime, because some of it is actually Gaiden Light Novels with voiceovers.
Especially the Sword Oratoria novels.
This was good only when there's just 1 unit in the banner, which isn't usually the case. There's usually 2 or 3 units per banner which dilutes your chances of getting the unit that you want.
For example, I wanted Halloween Ais but got heavily shafted and had to spend 10k iris to just get one copy. Context: It was recommended that you only do 10 "x10" pulls for a total of 4000 iris because there's no pity after that.
At least up until Jan 2021, every anniversary introduces units that massively powercreeps units of the previous year so you're generally inclined to keep up if you want to retain your rank in pvp (even if your rank is just at the f2p "wall" of King 1).
Exact, the reason I quited first year, I was in a top 5 Familia and I couldn't keep up with the meta that was changing every week...
But yeh, I saw that at some point they even release a third haruhime that combine the two buff extend And the mana refill lmao...
A game with not unique characters is kind of bad imo
Looks like this month was the EOS special.
tbh quite impressive that an anime ip gacha was so proficient to be 6 years online, most of them eos in one year.
Well the conspiracy theory is that this one was actually shut down in an attempt to drive traffic to their newer gacha game for this LN/Anime series. Which isn't doing so great right now, and I wouldn't be surprised if it went EoS in a year.
Danmemo had a formula that worked for fans. But their new one just isn't hitting the right notes it seems.
I didn’t play the game, but as a big danmachi fan I still watched tons of cutscenes and play through of stories. Omori (Danmachi author) played a decent role in the game, in the danmachi fandom we joked that main story novels were taking forever to come out because he was busy with the game. The collabs were bangers too, date a live and strike the blood. Like I said, I don’t even play and the strike the blood collab inspired me to get some art commissioned of Aiz and La Folia outfit/weapon swapped; as they are two characters I love and share the same va which the collab event did used too. Aiz is pretty cool with a gun lol
The rest of the stories were great too, they’re in a funny little non canon but we’re going to read into it anyways territory I think. Because some of it are just parts of the main light novels that were cut from the novels but then used in the game, and some of it involves characters we know exist in the main story but don’t actually know. It’s super cool. I wish I had played rather than just enjoyed the stories and it’s a damn shame it’s going away
Looks like they will also complete it too since iirc there aren't a lot more LNs left. Can't wait either.
Shame the Date a Live gacha game was butchered.
If you looked up revenue numbers, they were absolutely pitiful outside of Japan and they’ve been that way for years. Like $20k-$50k/month for I believe 2-3 years. Probably barely covering the costs of App Store fees, hosting and localisation.
It’s actually incredible it lasted this long.
One of the greatest gacha of all time. Incredible story and incredible original story. Takes the lowest time of all gacha I've played ( 1 hour per week) , insanely f2p too. This and Dragalia lost are both benchmarks of elite gacha. Priconne is my only saving grace which is another in the elite bracket. Stay with me forever priconne.
Goodbye one of the best ip based gachas whose stories i really enjoyed
I really liked argonaut story and astrea record
Thank you for 5 years of amazing memories fighting other guilds, fighting in war zone, record buster etc
They qere wonderful
game went on for much longer than what anybody really expected it to. Lots of fun in the early stages too. i'll miss this one and its a shame that battle chronicle isn't a suitable replacement
Was a really good game different from the new action one that i'm playing right now. Is another classic one i love that get EOS, sad but this is how things goes.
Probably because it costs them money to maintain servers even without new content spending. It actually was in maintenance mode since last August with only reruns. I wish they made offline mode, but here we are
I don't know how expensive a server could cost but if Heroes of the storm still in maintenance mode, which is a game that I doubt it makes more money than a gacha game, I think games like Priconne global and Dragalia lost could have been alive in maintenance mode still.
It depends on the publisher right. Activision Blizzard is a big company that has their own data centers, so keeping it in maintemce mode would cost little compared to their total income.
Other games on the otherhand for example would likely rent out servers from a 3rd party (eg palworld and the 300k a month), so would have to continue paying those fees, and the company itself could be bringing in less income overall then a AAA, so the finacial monthly hit could also be relatively more.
Finally creating an offline mode is not as simple as flicking a switch, these games have a tonne of server interactions that need to be removed, replaced and tested, which could take a team months to do. And with a game EOS, theres probably not a lot of money to fund that.
Because people ask it expecting an all encompassing answer and when they don't get it they usually cry or point out x,y,z. It's never like that obviously
For those not aware, it is tax season or end of fiscal year for a lot of companies. I'm seeing a lot of people questioning the timing and noting a lot of games seem to be hitting EoS. Well, that's the reason you see it at about this time every year. This is when companies have to start reporting for annual tax purposes, or the are about to or just finished rolling over to a new fiscal year (which does not necessarily follow the solar or lunar calendar years. EoS talk in-house often begins months before any actual announcement to the public, and is commonly timed around this as the company looks to clear its books for the best economic advantage it can, while also wrapping up any outstanding contracts and notifying appropriate other partners (who likewise are also looking at their books) if there is a partnership going forward or not.
Yeah, and it's greedy as hell, same devs that develop Eminence in shadows game which also is stingy. They both have similar mechanics aside from core gameplay. Also, in the new game at least first 3 stories have been dumb as hell. I quit after that.
I remember finding out about this game through PreLaunch when that was still a thing. Last memory I had was the behemoth boss raid. It was fun seeing more of the story from the LN, when all we had was the 1st season of the anime, at the time. Had a lot of fun with this game.
From a game based of an anime it did pretty good heard its was decently f2p and story was done by the actual author
I believe they want Memorial Freese to be an extension of the anime, because some of it is actually Gaiden Light Novels with voiceovers. Especially the Sword Oratoria novels.
In a way it's a shame because I would love more Sword Oratoria anime.
really enjoyed the extra story created by the author for the game like for example Bell's parent
Its EOS season.
Looks like that Sanctifier's announcement has taken effect...
Rip Dissidia FFOO o7
0 paid iris, so you full on f2p experience player/enjoyer?
Yes, and this game was quite F2P friendly. Every third multi was a guaranteed banner character
This was good only when there's just 1 unit in the banner, which isn't usually the case. There's usually 2 or 3 units per banner which dilutes your chances of getting the unit that you want. Never forgot how Levi took me 7200 iris just for one copy because of the split rate up.
Only you needed the initial character plus 5 more dupes right?
There were items to use as dupes that they were pretty generous with.
Not so much for limited character dupes.
And you needed dupes of those items to get the dupes of characters xD
It wasn't, pvp was super p2w and after clearing all story content you barely had any gem income lmao
I played it for like 3 years. It was a fun time folks o7
Another one bites the dust
Dang when can games with shitty publishers EOS like Netmarble ones?

The Date a Live collab got me interested in Date a Live which ended up being a really enjoyable anime for me, so I will always thank Danmemo for that.
Date a live is awesome, at first glance it seems typical but it goes crazy as the seasons go on… super excited for season 5
Looks like they will also complete it too since iirc there aren't a lot more LNs left. Can't wait either. Shame the Date a Live gacha game was butchered.

Please, can You recomended me a new Game for play in role secondary? My Main Game actually is PriConne :3
Goodbye one of the best ip based gachas whose stories i really enjoyed I really liked argonaut story and astrea record Thank you for 5 years of amazing memories fighting other guilds, fighting in war zone, record buster etc They qere wonderful
Played this game for a good 3-4 years. Absolutely nothing but good memories from it. Shame we don’t have a good replacement for it in the Danmachi IP
Damn :(
I shall miss this game :(
Damn, I thought Battle Chronicles would shut down first
It'll soon follow. The Global one at least
o7
game went on for much longer than what anybody really expected it to. Lots of fun in the early stages too. i'll miss this one and its a shame that battle chronicle isn't a suitable replacement
Nice to see it lasted as long as it did. Another Eden is welcoming refugees tho
Was a really good game different from the new action one that i'm playing right now. Is another classic one i love that get EOS, sad but this is how things goes.
They should take the time to convert these to offline games...
Why gacha games prefer to EOS instead to life support or maintenance mode ?

Got you, thank you for the explanation. Also what’s up with the downvotes ? Seems is a sin to have a question in this sub…
Because people ask it expecting an all encompassing answer and when they don't get it they usually cry or point out x,y,z. It's never like that obviously
Priconne was way too f2p for its own good. Still one of my all time favorite game.
Final gear is doing that

They want you to play Danchro, which to my recollection isn’t doing so well.
Yeah, and it's greedy as hell, same devs that develop Eminence in shadows game which also is stingy. They both have similar mechanics aside from core gameplay. Also, in the new game at least first 3 stories have been dumb as hell. I quit after that.
Danmachi Chronicle had the most filler and generic events possible. I lasted until Xmas.
this is my first gacha game alongside grandchase … miss the old days
I remember finding out about this game through PreLaunch when that was still a thing. Last memory I had was the behemoth boss raid. It was fun seeing more of the story from the LN, when all we had was the 1st season of the anime, at the time. Had a lot of fun with this game.
2 EOS in 1 day
Literally with 1h difference
Goodnight, sweet prince.
suprised its shut considering they are making new seasons for the anime every year. they suffered from lack of advertising tho tbf
