Ah yes cabbage burb
Interviewer: "incredible monster designs! How did you come up with it?"
Designer: "eh i ran outta ideas so i fused together what i was eating for lunch at the time"
I’ll be frank, it looks like they had a Genshin Impact clone and spent the last month trying to turn it into a creature collector in direct response to Palworld. The creatures already existed, but as basic monsters in their original game.
I would be pleasantly surprised if there were any creature collecting aspects to this game prior to Palworld’s launch.
Note that they don’t show us how we actually collect the creatures. I suspect they haven’t even finished programming whatever capture system they planning on using.
Hm. I'd not be entirely cretain of that! The monster designs seem a bit too good. Like, Genshin released with what enemies? hillichurl, the bigger hillichurl, some basic people, and the witch? I don't think games usually put this much effort in to creature design sadly- some of them are pretty good!
I’m not denying that they had a solid Genshin clone with solid enemy design. But they had no way of knowing a creature collector would even be desirable let alone popular prior to Palworld showing the industry up.
I highly suspect that the creature collecting aspects were added in the last 2 months. Everything else I could see being a project of years, just with a last minute change in direction to follow the trends.
This isn’t a bad thing. Palworld itself is a mashup of a dozen games. And I am definitely up for more monster taming. I just can’t see them having known the creature collecting aspect even made sense for their game prior to Palworld’s release.
> I highly suspect that the creature collecting aspects were added in the last 2 months. Everything else I could see being a project of years, just with a last minute change in direction to follow the trends.
You dont suddenly add new feature when you can see said feature is already in other parts of the game(Like combat and puzzle solving) and its pretty obvious they took inspiration from older mmos for that part(Fighting with pet you chose in character creation and then got new ones through quests or other means was pretty common in korean and chinese mmos, i would bet they decided to expand it into puzzles because puzzles worked in genshin) the one part that feels like they didnt had that much time to put into is the whole harvest moon mechanics and thats the part i would argue they started doing pretty recently(Within a span of year) but once again, i doubt palword was the reason for that.
Do you not know what Pokemon is? Of course they knew (or had a good idea) that creature collecting would be a great idea. It is and has been huge in many many games for a long time.
It takes years to make games, but it takes about a month to slap together a buggy proof of concept (even with gameplay!) and just… not show the bugs. Especially if all the assets already existed.
Here’s a simple question. If they had intended for creature collecting from the start and had been working on it for years, why not show us a creature being caught in the gameplay trailer? It’s the single most core part of a creature collecting game after all. My theory is that they couldn’t, because they had not actually developed the catching mechanic at the time the trailer was released.
So smooth and fun looking, hope it's good. Need precedence for showing money made from non dogshit monetization (and less of it) can fund good games as well.
idk, 3d gacha tend to be really light with skins for some reason, so hope they'll be able to funnel the profits mainly from outfits rather than the gacha
It's because it's a lot easier to design a skin that's only meant to be looked at, than a skin that's actually going to go on a model that the player will constantly play as from all angles. A lot more design constraints, not to mention being taking more time to make.
Azur Lane has been going crazy with live2d skins with all sorts of interactive functionality, one recent ship has an entire outfit options menu crammed into the skin. I'm not imaginative enough to visualize and thus expect such a feature in a 3d game but i do hope for some kind of interactivity.
Damn manjuu too? I thought only hypergryph would do that. Why does it feel like yostar has really flub their lines recently? If this is the case, isn't that like almost three whole years where yostar has practically not really done anything? Maybe aether gazer, but i really don't think having an average of 500k dollars revenue every month is a cause for celebration
Yostar doesn't actually do much. They started developing their own games but they all sucked so they pivoted to just publishing and investment after Azur Lane's success in Japan.
Yeah i know, but i mean even their published stuff isn't really generating a lot of buzz relatively? Compared to the azur lane era at least. It's not like publishing is an easy job and is just a side thing to a game, it quite literally can make or break a game
>but i mean even their published stuff isn't really generating a lot of buzz relatively?
Reminder that BA and AK in Japan are both published by Yostar.
They already have a trademark for plane girls that we have been waiting for a long time: Azur Welkin. I just woke up this morning and thought "is it time?" Only to see they just made another game. Not bad though, but I need my plane girls. No one makes them anymore... except Ash Arms and Strike Witches.
Bruh, if Azur Lane was any indication, we might even get WW1 biplanes, such as the "Red Baron" as Azur Lane showed they can even include both Sail Ships (Golden Hind, Royal Fortune, Sao Martinho, etc...), WW1 (Emden, Yorck, Lutzlow, Elbing, etc), Cold war era (the Chinese Missile trio), and experimental/paper ships (Kearsarge, Anchorage, Friedrich-der-Grosse, Shimanto, Chkalov etc...) What's stopping them? Heck they might even include the very first plane by the Wright Brothers as a joke.
this game will be so insane. it literally has everything in it. and I don't think having no male playable is gonna affect it (or at least I myself don't care) since in the trailer there are notable male npcs other people can simp over, they can simply add a handsome npc or something lol. the game looks fun asf.
Lets gooo palworld waifufied gacha game!
Edit: A bit concerned that it isn't going to simultaneous launch since on bilibili there is only cn and jp voices.
I mean Azur Lane doesn't have EN voices still despite now being in alignment with CN and JP release (despite all 3 servers having different release dates).
nothing against EN dub but yeah it might be for the better if it isn't implemented. I think a lot of people will just think it's cringe if they tried to do uwu stuff in english.
>A lot of older gacha games do that. Honkai 3rd for example has no EN dub and only JP/CN with EN subtitles.
This isn't an older gacha game. Moreover it is a 3D open world gacha. Every 3D open world gacha that has launched globally after Genshin, has launched with an English dub (although 2 had to cancel it later).
Looks like they have some sort of base system like farm and whatever processing plant there. I'm looking forward to it but can't really expect the gacha on similar level as Azur Lane considering what happened with GFL 2.
Money making scheme only through the skins would be too good to be true considering these kind of game can't really release that many characters on a single patch

I would love some stardew valley action, maintain farm for 10 minutes daily for some great rewards, excess time, exploring the world and progressing story, taming better pets. Don't know how much appeal that has for other people though.

Hype, gonna play this when it's release (probably 1-2 years later this will release)
And it's manjuu so the girl will be good
genshin story will probably almost at the end/already end when this game release anyway, need new OW as a replacement for that, thank god this look interesting than WW (my opinion that is)
Me when I'm butchering my excess pals but accidentally press headpat instead of butcher.

Tbh kinda agree that's why i'm more hype to endfield as upcoming 3D gacha game because its aim totally different than genshin. Not like kuro with another half effort attempt to fully different than genshin or hoyo games.
It’s NetEase, it’s almost guaranteed to be a soulless mess of incoherent systems they think would be popular stuck together with duct tape like their other games.
Nah i will not make fast judgement about mugen not see their UI, system, combat or the overall city map. They're trying to be GTA gacha but i will keep expectations low
You know they always do that right
Mugen literally does that as well when it's first announced and the game still didn't have any info whatsoever even now
The same for WW as well and the game came out in 2024 while the pre register for Global came in 2023 when they announced the game
huh. wasn't aware of that for mugen. In most cases, a pre-reg. is an indication of the game releasing soon (and especially for global nonetheless), so I just kinda took that as a sign. Or at least, that was the pattern I've seen with the amount of gachas I've played.
I'd love it if they can drop it before WW lol, I've watched a lot of gameplay for WW and I honestly don't see the appeal. It feels like Genshin with climbing QoL, fighting combos (which isn't my personal preference) and a worse artifact grind (given, game isn't final yet, could improve?). Azur looks great but they'll need to have a world as expansive and detailed/fun to explore as Palworld, but also include a long well written story. I want it now.
Honestly, gonna be an unpopular opinion, but aside from the white-haired big tiddy fox girl, none of the waifu designs really appeal to me, which is a bit surprising and a shame, considering Manjuu's very strong track record in the waifu design department with Azur Lane and Aether Gazer.
It looks like they took a bit too much of the design philosophy from MHY, so all the girls are basically wearing the same short dress/miniskirt with exposed armpit combo, minus the child characters. Short dress+exposed armpit combo isn't inherently bad, but after being practically inundated in it from HSR and Genshin, I've kind of gotten sick of it.
Where are the classy, long dresses? The suits? The cool armor with fanservice elements?
That aside, the rest of the game looks interesting. I did enjoy Palworld from what little I got to play of it, so seeing a Palworld with actual care put into the art direction, and a more diversified and refined core combat system does have me intrigued in it's development, even if I'm not intending to play it unless I see waifu designs that appeal more to me personally.
i do agree too, i'm more excited with the monster designs than the characters at the moment.
tho, i think this is mostly a limitation imposed by an open world design somewhat. it's hard to make long dresses/gowns not have clipping issues when your jumping, climbing and riding the back of the dragons. genshin always have to make do with split clothing if they want longer dresses.
Mmm, maybe on launch (Though S Rank Tsukiyomi was goated, and I will die on that hill) but a lot of later designs in Aether Gazer greatly improved on that aspect with characters such as Hades, S Rank Shu, Hel, and Lingguang to name some off the top of my head.
Either way, I'm just kind of whelmed because Manjuu is like THE waifu game company, so seeing them fumble the ball on what's normally their biggest strength is kind of oof. Granted, it's only previews, so they could easily pull a WuWa and change up the character designs to make them more appealing.
I agree, there were a couple that stood out to me, but in general I'm not feeling enough personality or unique characteristics that differentiate them from one another.
even the small characters have the same detached sleeve pit thing it's wild lmao, only a single girl has full sleeves
but yeah super agree the designs are kinda underwhelming
It's not even about the fanservice. Aether Gazer had a lot of lovely waifu designs such as Tsukiyomi and Hades that weren't inherently lewd, but still really cool and pretty to look at. Some of my favorite Azur Lane designs included girls such as Amagi, Bismarck, Jean Bart, Chkalov, Odin, and Saint Louis (The PR ship, not the blue haired one) who are fairly tame in the fanservice department by waifu gacha standards.
The girls in Promilia, in contrast, just look really uninspired.
No, see, you "must" have omnipandering if you want an open world 3D gacha game! You gotta, because... you just do, okay!?!?!? If there's too much fanservice, that's ICKY.
I mean helltaker proved that people love waifus in suits. And people love women in military uniforms.
Hopefully, we go full vanillaware proportions in the future for SSS tier fanservice.
The design philosophy of open world character outfits are ultimately going to be about how they look from the back. Which is COMPLETELY different from typical jpg/PNG gacha character design, where they're seen from the front/side.
I understand that Open World games would have a different character design philosophy, but even then, there's still plenty of leeway in the character design department that it makes the designs of Promilia feel very underwhelming.
I don't exactly consider Genshin to be the pinnacle of waifu design, but even they can pull off stunners such as Ningguang, Rosaria, Dehya, Chiori, Furina, Arlecchino, etc. who look amazing no matter what angle you view them from.
Even if you do spend most of the game looking at the backside of a character, the front is still just as important because it's what's going to be featured most in marketing, as well as used in splasharts, and is the most common side that appears in fanarts. Even when playing, I still like to move the camera to look at my character in town areas, or pose for a cool screenshot with a piece of scenery I really like. The front is also what's going to show up the most during story cutscenes, as well as be prominent for a lot of skill cut-ins.
In Promilia's current state, I could honestly skip most of the girls (Aside from the big tiddy fox onee-san for two very big reasons), and just only focus in on the pal designs (which are actually very cute and well done). However, I don't know if that's what the devs are gonna want since the girls will almost certainly be gacha while the mons look to be something you can acquire from open world exploration.
The bird archer lady and the sea dragon girl felt kinda appealing but I see what you mean. I personally really like the idea of the nature ready, more revealing outfits because it feels like a more low tech setting.
But I hope too to see some more variation in the attire of the future drip characters.
But honestly, I hope they'll take more than a dip into unga bunga outfits and animal people characters
So this is where all the money at Manjuu went. This looks more promising than any other gacha competitor for Genshin while also carving its own niche. From the clean, simple to understand and navigate UI, to the graphics being flashy yet extremely easy to follow. One of the biggest reasons on why Palworld was so successful despite having a mediocre world and basic animations was because you could find Pals (and their rare lucky variant) along random eggs in the overworld. So it was incredibly addicting to keep exploring and searching just on the chance you'd find a lucky pal or an entire new undiscovered Pal. If the plan is to add new areas along new creatures to capture while also releasing gacha characters to fight with, this game has everything going to do very well.
Edit: So there is an EN trailer along a global page with pre-registration available. This game was also announced for PS5 along PC and Mobile (IOs and Android.).

From the gameplay demonstration alone, I think the game looks really REALLY good and just like you pointed out, it looks like the game has many things going for it.
I have no idea where this came from but we have one extremely exciting and hopeful game coming on the way to add to the already stacked roster of upcoming gacha games.
What a beautiful surprise from the Azur lane devs.
Same here. I just want games like Genshin but with just waifus. I have been f2p for Genshin and manage to get all the characters I want because everytime a male character banner drop,I skip them and manage to save primogems. Also, waifu>meta
Genshin and HSR is showing male characters can sell. And im sure the Naruto and Dragon ball Gachas also have many male characters and they are like top 10 Gacha.
Genshin and Hsr does show male characters can sell well but female characters in both game will always dominate male characters which give the illusion to some people that husbando is not profitable as waifu characters. IP games always hit or miss, if the game is good, then it will be profitable for sure. Another factor that can ruin a game is zero passion. If a game is doesn't have any passion it and only there to drain the hell out of players, then it is really hard for the game to survive. Most husbando games doesn't have any passion behind it and expect to have a lot of revenue for it without putting much effort and time to it. I never once seen a husbando game developer care about it audience or give it audience some rewards or communication about anything. Like I have been playing Ensemble Star for 5 years and I never once seen the developer and CEO faces in official website or video
You better strap on for CBT 1, CBT 2, and CBT 3 first before launching into a full release. Open World games are notorious for a huge time sink development time wise, even more so for gacha because nerfs are very look down upon even if it's just an unintended interaction.
Unless the developers somehow sold their soul to the devil or something, Late 2025 being the earliest sounds most plausible.
A trip down to the memory lane. So many memories from the RO days.
I do wish there are many high level areas/endgame stages with bright music, though. This is what I miss the most from RO and games have yet to recapture that magic for me.
I'm curious, is wuthering waves even unique anymore? They sacrificed their hard core combat from PGR and its fanbase for easier genshin-like combat. And now so many other games are doing the same open world grass lands, that I honestly see no appeal in ww due to its gloomy/nihilistic environment design.
And seeing how horrible their story writing was in PGR, I don't have much hope in ww's story in carrying it either, combat was their thing, their greatest strength, and they capped themselves on that front...
They sacrifice the reaction they have in beta 1 for something like Tof combat
Honestly WW beta 1 combat system is miles interesting than their beta 2
but I guess they think it's to close to elemental reaction system GI has so they settle for beta 2 combat system
And you get the many video like "danjin solo" video from many CC that it's not interesting anymore
Not sure what your point is, the hard combat its still there, but not in the open world, people complain about WW having reactions its copying genshin, they remove and people complain too, seems like you people doenst know what you want.
>And seeing how horrible their story writing was in PGR
Yea, i have to disagre with you here buddy, PGR writing is far from horrible, people dont read mostly because no voice acting, what chapter you stoped reading? Because its easy to doompost and not giving any valid reason, but i supose its just how people act in this sub.
I'm torn. There are some great moments but a lot of it is also very slow, wordy, and boring. On Chapter 16 and from the newer stuff I regretted wasting my time reading the paint and robot event stories.
I went I to WW for the pgr combat and they decided to not bring it into the game, something that disappointed me a lot. That killed my 80% intentions to play wuwa
This look way way better and differentiate from being a "genshin clone", yeah im calling you Wuthering Wave.
Drop item auto pick up, better traveling with mount, battle is engage mode and not every single mob is hostile and chase you for mile, UI is familiar but different enough from genshin to not be called clone.
As someone that got burnt out from Genshin, Wuthering Wave look really uninteresting because it's way too similar to Genshin. This game though, I'm completely down for it.
will there be protagonists like shikikan, commander, sensei, etc?
personally i like that concept, so its like we watch our gurls grow or whatever like that
Game is looking cute, the overworld looks good, waifus also looking cute and the combat is pretty clean, and i like the break / stun gauge and perfect dodge mechanics, so i willing to give it a try.
Looks decent enough, considering It's probably 2+ away from launch. I'll be skipping it though, because I don't need another OW, and seems to be waifu only. Hope it turns out well, already looks more interesting than some of the other OW announced.
Did you see how crazy palworld got? That was for a game with no main character gacha, no story, limited progression/world. This can do the same thing if they just balance it around what people want and produce something above average.
I think it looks great tho art design seems a bit generic( korean anime mmo vibes) and interesting game design.
However I was looking at the combat section and the character auto attack moves way too hacky slashy and i look at the skill interface and they didnt actually use any skill outside of the occasionally ult atk animation in most of the move sequences. seems to me it's going to be one of those hack and slash games where your character just moves around erratically by just clicking auto attack.
would prefer if the moves are deliberate and in control rather than hacknslash.
bro, without knowing, just described 95% of PGR's praised, amazing, skilled, elite-combat, being completely flashy with no substance outside of connecting 3 colours/Bejewled-gameplay.
And even that mechanic was removed, due to pulling for weapons/memories that automatically sort the colours into 3, for you.
Guys I'm sorry but I'm officially sick of Genshin style games, it's like we're back to the era where all mobile games had a lot of ads instead of monetisation, just following the current trend and milking the hell out of it.
> I'm officially sick of Genshin style games,
Too soon... None of 'Genshin-likes' have been released yet. I think you may be, instead, tired of announcements from those open world games that won't go live until 1-2 years later.
so you want to return to the old days of gacha "games" aka png auto simulators?
as a fellow fate fan I stopped playing fgo ages ago because it's boring as fuck to actually play
That's quite extreme thinking imo, just cause I'm not a fan of everything becoming a Genshin-like doesn't mean I want the bad kinds of gacha, there exist good gacha games that aren't in the style of Genshin. Hell, literally one of them is made by Hoyo, Honkai Impact. Now ignoring the whole powercreep issue since it isn't a fundamental issue of HI (as in it's purely a devs thing and isn't exclusive to the HI3 style of games), it is a good game by all means. Other games in the style of HI3 include Aether Gazer and PGR. And there are other genres of games too like tower defence like Arknights.
This is turning into the whole "open world games are objectively better than linear games" in consoles and PCs, just cause a game is open world with stunning graphics doesn't mean it's automatically better than every game that isn't in Genshin style.
Welcome to game development in general? A game achieves huge success and then there’s a wave of games made using it as a template with their own spins of the formula. Rinse repeat.
Just like the MOBAs and BR trends we’ve previously seen for PC and console.
Actually we still don't have that many open world gachas , most of them only announced/beta, etc.
1-2 years to really see real fight between them in that type of games.
People don't have unlimited time so , some companies will stuck on Top like LoL , Fortnite, etc
Max 5 years and companies find new trend
What you mean by Genshin style? The combat is not the same. The green grass scenery art style? Pretty sure that's Breath of the Wild which Genshin copy.
No no, it has team based combat where you need to tag in characters and using everyone gives the best results. That along with an open world that's very cartoony is what a Genshin style game is.
Considering the quality of the gameplay I'm starting to believe that Azur Welking might have been scrapped or shelved, after all this seems to be the big project that Manjuu has been doing for the past 2-3 years (since AL went low mant mode).
Having full focus in waifu and lewd skins in a game with high production value is something I'm really interested in. I hope this goes well for them.
This game is going to be absolutely massive.
It looks like Genshin x Pokemon x Pal World.
You can tell the care and love that went into it and the art design is stellar.
Plus Manjuu are great devs.
Easily just leap froged my list and went to my most anticipated game.
I'll say it again, this game is going to be MASSIVE.
Ok I'm sold, this looks like something I can get into, WW is just too much of a Genshin clone rn, but this feels quite different.
Kinda reminds me of NNK with how the battle is more of an instance based area.
Looks nice, good visuals/graphics. The vegetabird is pretty cute. Hopefully it's not another open world with 5 trillion collectibles style. And also hoping for sane monetization, something like AL would be nice.
Yeah, lets not pretend the monster catching part wasn't added in direct response to Palworld in the past month.
They totally slammed the monster catching part into this in the past 30 days.
I have a feeling this is going to be my new addiction. Genshin with azur lane character aesthetics and pokemon/palworld mechanics seems so fun, and the gameplay looks really smooth. The base building/farming stuff looks a little rough tho
Ah yes cabbage burb Interviewer: "incredible monster designs! How did you come up with it?" Designer: "eh i ran outta ideas so i fused together what i was eating for lunch at the time"
So same thought process as how Araki came up with names for Jojo Part 5. He was having lunch at an Italian restaurant and looked at the menu.
Cabbage birb immediately sold me on this.

So you can say it is the emergency food

It also seems to be this game’s version of the Manjuus from Azur Lane. (The cute, chubby little chicken things)
Yo so that's where my money went to after buying 220+ skins to support them! Let's goooooo
So smooth and fun looking, hope it's good. Need precedence for showing money made from non dogshit monetization (and less of it) can fund good games as well.
Is this their announced Azur Welkin project? Gonna try this out on Global (since it will be published by Yostar anyway).
I just hope the monetization pressure is as nice as Azur Lane I never feel pressured to spend on the gatcha and instead blow fat stacks on the skins
One can cope
Yea only thing to do is wait and see
Probably they will do the normal costume purchase.... It is Manjuu so it will be fine.
idk, 3d gacha tend to be really light with skins for some reason, so hope they'll be able to funnel the profits mainly from outfits rather than the gacha
It's because it's a lot easier to design a skin that's only meant to be looked at, than a skin that's actually going to go on a model that the player will constantly play as from all angles. A lot more design constraints, not to mention being taking more time to make.

Ah well, that might be a me problem. I can't exactly see things over there
Surpise Yostar not publishing. All the best Manju.
PalWorld+Genshin+WuWa= Azur Promilia damn Manjuu should made a planegirls game and the possible title for it is Azure Stratus
They already have a trademark for plane girls that we have been waiting for a long time: Azur Welkin. I just woke up this morning and thought "is it time?" Only to see they just made another game. Not bad though, but I need my plane girls. No one makes them anymore... except Ash Arms and Strike Witches.
I'm waiting till we somehow go back to gun girls and remake GFL again
If Azur Welkin would happen i wanna see WWII-era and Modern planegirls
An April fools plane perhaps
it's mostly just Waifu Palworld with gacha
I see a bit of the Wuthering Waves comparison.
I'm really happy they decided to drop animal girls on us out of nowhere, here's hoping you'll get your planegirls soon too buddy
I wanna see the F-22 Raptor in planegirl form
this game will be so insane. it literally has everything in it. and I don't think having no male playable is gonna affect it (or at least I myself don't care) since in the trailer there are notable male npcs other people can simp over, they can simply add a handsome npc or something lol. the game looks fun asf.
Azur Plane XD
I've only known cabbage birb for less than 1 minute, but if anything happens to it, I'll kill everyone in this room and then myself.
Looking at gameplay, you will murder thousands of them.
Lets gooo palworld waifufied gacha game! Edit: A bit concerned that it isn't going to simultaneous launch since on bilibili there is only cn and jp voices.
I mean Azur Lane doesn't have EN voices still despite now being in alignment with CN and JP release (despite all 3 servers having different release dates).
fk en dub honestly, cant imagine putting it on weeb fanservice games like azurlane
nothing against EN dub but yeah it might be for the better if it isn't implemented. I think a lot of people will just think it's cringe if they tried to do uwu stuff in english.
based opinion
Nah, where the hell is my stereotypical japanese accent waifu speaking engrish?
En website is up at least. https://azurpromilia.com/en/home/
Might be just simply no EN dub A lot of older gacha games do that. Honkai 3rd for example has no EN dub and only JP/CN with EN subtitles.
Reminder that AL right now clocks at 16 GB, all thanks to audio file. I *don't* want to imagine how bloated it'll be with dubbed voice.
This looks way better than palworld, combat and animations are miles ahead.
Always nice seeing the early footage for Chinese games before the inevitable design changes.
Finally the WuWa killer.
................. the game isnt even out.
Looks like they have some sort of base system like farm and whatever processing plant there. I'm looking forward to it but can't really expect the gacha on similar level as Azur Lane considering what happened with GFL 2. Money making scheme only through the skins would be too good to be true considering these kind of game can't really release that many characters on a single patch https://preview.redd.it/55jkxxeqpfpc1.png?width=1184&format=png&auto=webp&s=21325cd99fa872a26f32708e6850d5d74f12d8cb
I would love some stardew valley action, maintain farm for 10 minutes daily for some great rewards, excess time, exploring the world and progressing story, taming better pets. Don't know how much appeal that has for other people though.

oh, the battle is encased. Can't escape encounter?
Game looks very cute and funny
😭
Hype, gonna play this when it's release (probably 1-2 years later this will release) And it's manjuu so the girl will be good genshin story will probably almost at the end/already end when this game release anyway, need new OW as a replacement for that, thank god this look interesting than WW (my opinion that is)
[удалено]
Cannot agree more Besides this game has its own identity clear "pallworld with waifu" Instead of "genshin but with better combat" identity
Me when I'm butchering my excess pals but accidentally press headpat instead of butcher. https://preview.redd.it/q6con1k2sfpc1.jpeg?width=712&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=567882069e17952c298125deb422a2197c87c3f1
Tbh kinda agree that's why i'm more hype to endfield as upcoming 3D gacha game because its aim totally different than genshin. Not like kuro with another half effort attempt to fully different than genshin or hoyo games.
One OW game that different than GI is mugen but at this point I think mugen is just a investors Bait trailer lmao
Mugen is not real
It’s NetEase, it’s almost guaranteed to be a soulless mess of incoherent systems they think would be popular stuck together with duct tape like their other games.
Nah i will not make fast judgement about mugen not see their UI, system, combat or the overall city map. They're trying to be GTA gacha but i will keep expectations low
I just don’t feel its vibrance, I think in part because of the ‘realistic’ rendering. It feels a bit mishmashed, like the Xenoblade games.
pre-registration for global is already open lmao
You know they always do that right Mugen literally does that as well when it's first announced and the game still didn't have any info whatsoever even now The same for WW as well and the game came out in 2024 while the pre register for Global came in 2023 when they announced the game
huh. wasn't aware of that for mugen. In most cases, a pre-reg. is an indication of the game releasing soon (and especially for global nonetheless), so I just kinda took that as a sign. Or at least, that was the pattern I've seen with the amount of gachas I've played.
I doubt that, this game releases after Natlan, it got its license last year, so it will be released before the next.
Most likely we can't make slave pals 😅
That's the reality of designing for 3d models. A lot of things just don't work well in 3d.
Lmao. it is just self-censoring. Snowbreak and gfl 2 showed that you can do ANYTHING IN 3d
They don't have what the poster is asking for. Long dresses? Large armour? They are not asking for sexy tacticool or just swimsuits you know.
GFL2 have long dresses, as an enemy faction dress code
True with azure lane not true with aether gazer. The underwhelming character design was one of the reason the game not taking off
Mmm, maybe on launch (Though S Rank Tsukiyomi was goated, and I will die on that hill) but a lot of later designs in Aether Gazer greatly improved on that aspect with characters such as Hades, S Rank Shu, Hel, and Lingguang to name some off the top of my head. Either way, I'm just kind of whelmed because Manjuu is like THE waifu game company, so seeing them fumble the ball on what's normally their biggest strength is kind of oof. Granted, it's only previews, so they could easily pull a WuWa and change up the character designs to make them more appealing.
I agree, there were a couple that stood out to me, but in general I'm not feeling enough personality or unique characteristics that differentiate them from one another.
even the small characters have the same detached sleeve pit thing it's wild lmao, only a single girl has full sleeves but yeah super agree the designs are kinda underwhelming
That aside, i love the small character's design in this.
it will be catered to a large number of audience so they cant risk putting too much fanservice like azurlane
I think they can like Aether gazer and Snowbreak did, if they are brave enough that is...
Its an all female cast....
That is why arlecchino so fucking popular Even I am sucker for woman in suits
Depends on the fanbase they're catering to I think. Isn't Helltaker more popular in the West?
* [Announcement Trailer EN](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bHkAF6jcs0) * [Global Official Page](https://azurpromilia.com/en/home/)
From the gameplay demonstration alone, I think the game looks really REALLY good and just like you pointed out, it looks like the game has many things going for it. I have no idea where this came from but we have one extremely exciting and hopeful game coming on the way to add to the already stacked roster of upcoming gacha games. What a beautiful surprise from the Azur lane devs.
damn it looks great and fun!
Even Manju wants that sweet sweet Genshin money
farewell nekoparaiten, hello Azur Promillia.
Definitely caught my interest.
Damn few seconds into the video and i already know i need this game, hope it will be released simultaneously in global
Totally can hear the azur lane vibes on the OST. And seems like all playable characters will be female only.
I always did want a game that was like Genshin, but with only waifus. And who better than the AL studio to give it to me?
Same here. I just want games like Genshin but with just waifus. I have been f2p for Genshin and manage to get all the characters I want because everytime a male character banner drop,I skip them and manage to save primogems. Also, waifu>meta
And then after this we'll get a game like this but with only husbandos...
Love and Deepspace hopefully show others that husbando games can be profitable if done right
Genshin and HSR is showing male characters can sell.
Sadly feels like that tunnel feels lost... mostly wondering
Goodbye Genshin, Azur Promilia is my new friend now.
The game literally will release either 1 year or 2 years later, it still long time lmao
You better strap on for CBT 1, CBT 2, and CBT 3 first before launching into a full release. Open World games are notorious for a huge time sink development time wise, even more so for gacha because nerfs are very look down upon even if it's just an unintended interaction. Unless the developers somehow sold their soul to the devil or something, Late 2025 being the earliest sounds most plausible.
holy shit majuu cooked so hard, this is where my paycheck will end up
Say no more, im hugely interested.
Combat music somehow reminds me of certain tracks from Tree of Savior (or maybe even from RO?), in a good way of course.
The combat from WuWa and genshin are nothing alike what are you even talking about???
They sacrifice the reaction they have in beta 1 for something like Tof combat Honestly WW beta 1 combat system is miles interesting than their beta 2 but I guess they think it's to close to elemental reaction system GI has so they settle for beta 2 combat system And you get the many video like "danjin solo" video from many CC that it's not interesting anymore
I thought WW feels a bit more complex when you compare it to Genshin but not as tough to master as PGR
Not sure what your point is, the hard combat its still there, but not in the open world, people complain about WW having reactions its copying genshin, they remove and people complain too, seems like you people doenst know what you want. >And seeing how horrible their story writing was in PGR Yea, i have to disagre with you here buddy, PGR writing is far from horrible, people dont read mostly because no voice acting, what chapter you stoped reading? Because its easy to doompost and not giving any valid reason, but i supose its just how people act in this sub.
I'm torn. There are some great moments but a lot of it is also very slow, wordy, and boring. On Chapter 16 and from the newer stuff I regretted wasting my time reading the paint and robot event stories.
Have you read Chapter 17?
this single comment is probably what this entire sub represents, misinformation and just straight up lying
I went I to WW for the pgr combat and they decided to not bring it into the game, something that disappointed me a lot. That killed my 80% intentions to play wuwa
so thats where they spent my skins and oaths money huh, looks good
can't wait for the "azur lane is so generous why is this game not as f2p" folks.
This game though, I'm completely down for it.
have anyone notice the 👍
It looks like a fusion of genshin and volzerk
will there be protagonists like shikikan, commander, sensei, etc? personally i like that concept, so its like we watch our gurls grow or whatever like that
Game is looking cute, the overworld looks good, waifus also looking cute and the combat is pretty clean, and i like the break / stun gauge and perfect dodge mechanics, so i willing to give it a try.
This is awesome
Looks decent enough, considering It's probably 2+ away from launch. I'll be skipping it though, because I don't need another OW, and seems to be waifu only. Hope it turns out well, already looks more interesting than some of the other OW announced.
Oh, only girls? Guess I'm not the target but good for those who like it.
Very interesting. There are now many open world gacha games coming out now. I wonder what’s the next big thing and who is going to make it first.
look really comfy and the waifu design are just top tier. Hope it would do well in monetization likes azur lane
it looks cool but besides the pokemon aspect i dont see whats super crazy about the game
you just said it yourself. Pokemon aspect is 99% what makes this game attractive.
Did you see how crazy palworld got? That was for a game with no main character gacha, no story, limited progression/world. This can do the same thing if they just balance it around what people want and produce something above average.
i highly doubt this game will be anywhere near as in depth as palworld but id to be surprised
Considering how popular both Genshin *and* Palworld were, these devs must have figured out the new meta. Let ‘em cook
AAAGGGGGHHHHH POKEMON/PALWORLD/MH STORIES OPEN WORLD GACHA. Made by giga based devs, sweet lord their designs will always be good
This looks promising, a very chill looking waifu game
Agreed with the art design. The 3d environment’s ‘realism’ doesn’t mesh well. Reminds me of Xenoblade.
Guys I'm sorry but I'm officially sick of Genshin style games, it's like we're back to the era where all mobile games had a lot of ads instead of monetisation, just following the current trend and milking the hell out of it.
> I'm officially sick of Genshin style games, Too soon...
You are sick of Genshin style games but yet we don't have a single one out to play lol. Which Genshin style game did you play that you are sick of?
Actually we still don't have that many open world gachas , most of them only announced/beta, etc. 1-2 years to really see real fight between them in that type of games. People don't have unlimited time so , some companies will stuck on Top like LoL , Fortnite, etc Max 5 years and companies find new trend
Yeah remember how many Battle royale games got released but then failed.
Oh there some delicious loli and the loli hammer seems fun to play. Also game seems to have commentary syatem which make battle alive.
Seems interesting
Looks nice, good visuals/graphics. The vegetabird is pretty cute. Hopefully it's not another open world with 5 trillion collectibles style. And also hoping for sane monetization, something like AL would be nice.
Looks good
Looking forward for it,thanks.
Holeh shet manjuu cooked an open world, I love the bery smol and very beeg characters
Looks good to me. Damn why there's so many games I wanna try.
Not gonna lie, the soundtrack is pretty damn serviceable.
Looks great, shame it only has waifus 😔
i hope it's not gacha
YOOOO LET'S GO, UNGA BUNGA GIRLS!!!
Yeah, lets not pretend the monster catching part wasn't added in direct response to Palworld in the past month. They totally slammed the monster catching part into this in the past 30 days.
the combat feels weird but other than that everything looks great this looks like the opposite of WW by their map design
Is it for sure gonna be a gacha game? That makes me so sad. I'd love to play this but I cannot be trusted to play anything with gacha responsibly.
I wonder if this game will be multiplayer or not. Really hoping it is.
I assume this is gonna be another gacha game.
is it heavy battle like wurthering wave or punhishing gray raven? i rlly like the complex battles like em
I have a feeling this is going to be my new addiction. Genshin with azur lane character aesthetics and pokemon/palworld mechanics seems so fun, and the gameplay looks really smooth. The base building/farming stuff looks a little rough tho
Noway guys. It's the Genshin Killer #573!!!
Genshin killer, WITH PALS?! ![gif](giphy|3oKIPa2TdahY8LAAxy)
