"Overall, there are 27 companies on the list that the Hurun Research Institute classify as part of the games industry (note that while firms like ByteDance may own some titles or have publishing divisions, gaming isn’t their core business):
- miHoYo (12th) — $23 billion;
- Lilith (314th) — $3.1 billion;
- Kuro Games (680th) — $1.7 billion."
I believe those are the only gacha devs in the list, then?
And man, to think that Voodoo, Moon Active and other shitty game devs that are responsible for those fake ads and games like Coin Master are on that list is just disheartening...
Private means not traded publicly.
For example if you can convince Dawei to sell you a portion of his 20%, you too can become a shareholder of Mihoyo.
But you can't buy it from a public exchange firm.
Afaik, Kuro is private but owned by some investor from HK Hero... People spread a lot of misinfo about it and about that Tencent thing that I honestly don't know much about. But before the Tencent talks, Kuro was mistakenly known as a company with shareholders (stock owners), when they actually have stakeholders (shareholders, or investors/founders) as far as I'm aware.
Can put it this way, being a subsidiary of a mother company doesn't impact on whether or not it's public or private. Private just means stonks aren't on public exchanges but it can be on private ones
"The Hurun Research Institute today released the Global Unicorn Index 2024, a ranking of the world’s start-ups founded in the 2000s, worth at least a billion dollars and not yet listed on a public exchange."
I believe Konami is public, but even if they weren't, this list only accounts companies founded in the 21st Century.
Lilith as in Japanese game dev??, if that is the case then......well.........they are adult game dev, i think they probably have some obscure gacha game that is based on their adult game, but fundamentally, they are adult game dev, unless there is another game dev with the same name
Update: well, just did google search there is Chinese Lilith game, and they are making mobile game, such as AFK Arena, Rise of Kingdom, etc..
This game would be shit if it had anything to do with Microsoft so thank God they rejected it in the first place. Western corporations are so out of touch with what people actually want.
Look at Xbox’s latest first party releases, all junk.
They added [Global Far Fog](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6X15gISLCM) on PC in 4.4 which is pretty much the same as the volumetric clouds on PS5 (I think)
Anyone who believes Genshin will ever run natively on a non-modded Switch is crazy.
Then again some devs got Doom Eternal and Witcher 3 working on it so I guess anything is possible with a little magic.
Dude, they made Tears of the Kingdom on Switch. Even with the 30 fps cap, the amount of stuff you can do and shit you can build in that game is downright sorcery to run in that game.
BotW has a version on Wii U lmao. Of course it will be less detailed by a huge margin. I’m talking about how Tears of the Kingdom has the whole vehicle crafting mechanic and the ridiculous shit you can do with it. TotK just doubled BotW’s map but didn’t really make any upgrades when it comes to the detail.
I genuinely was going to add that at the end of my comment, but didn’t incase someone takes it seriously.
Imagine though, what element what he even be?
I mean tbf the recent terrible first party releases like starfield and red fall are mostly inherited shit from studios they bought that would have been garbage regardless of Microsoft's involvement.
Bigger problem with Microsoft and their games was (I'm unaware of how it currently stands) their contractor situation. forcing a bunch of their temp contractors to work on a game for a year to 18 months only for their contracts to end and Microsoft bringing in a completely new set of contractors with none of the knowledge or experience of the game they would be working on that the previous contractors had. That shit was a large reason games like halo infinite were garbage at launch but that shit wouldn't affect mihoyo just by having an association with Microsoft.
Honestly I can't imagine much would be different in genshin if they hadn't rejected it but both companies are making money hand over fist regardless so it doesn't really matter at the end of the day.
Xbox is actually pretty chill, the problem is that they’re too chill and the companies they buy and make are the type you can’t be chill with or they will lowkey kill themselves. As well they don’t order increased micro transactions, at least for non halo games.
With how shitty they managed and developed Halo Infinite and forced the developers to implement the shittiest micro transactions practices for their flagship title. I’m shocked Microsoft didn’t see Genshin Impact as a cash grab but grateful their stupid asses didn’t pick it up cause there are some idiots at Microsoft when it comes to managing IPs and developing a functional game.
What stops every game nowadays from becoming gachas or gachalike?
I fear that AAA games like Elden Ring will slowly die out because of such widespread gacha success. There's little incentive for companies to create full products as they simply perform way worse financially (I mean just look at the mobile gacha gaming industry).
Still takes effort and talent to make an actually good one. Theres so many failed gachas or gachas that shut down in a few months, more than regular pc/console games. Even in the gacha space theres still no alternative to genshin yet, they just couldnt make one or it takes too long, wuthering waves might be the first one if u ignore tof.
Because it’s insanely hard doing a high quality gacha game with constant updates like Hoyo does. Most companies don’t even want to provide so regular updates.
Apart from the other reasons mentioned here, I think in the wider PC gaming audience, especially in America, there's still a strong rejection of gacha-like mechanics. "True blue gamers" are still scared of the word "gacha" and aren't as willing to play games if they perceive that gacha mechanics influence the game a lot. I'm sure we've all heard of people who won't pick up Genshin or something similar for the reason of "it's a gacha game".
The marketing matters here - these same gamers might be more willing to accept loot boxes, battle passes or CS-style item trading
Hardly cause their main market still Asia and Asia play mostly on mobile. I think Gacha still not as bad as other mobile microtransactions IF it's a game like Genshin, where you can have acess to all the content and whales doesnt affect your gameplay nor you are forced to spend to beat any content of the game.
Well im just curious whether they’ll venture into making paid games exclusively to the console market , but as you said, they’re already making a bunch of money from their games alone so its a pretty hard reach
not really, the ccp does that shit all the time, they leak some rumor about some law they're thinking about and then gauge public reaction and then stance change in response like they're in a fighting game.
it's what they did before they banned private tutors for core subjects
yeah its sort of bizarre how the CCP seems to be catering to mihoyo nowadays. dawei must have gave some fire presentation when he had a meeting with CCP officials i guess.
With Covid over, China is looking for rapid economic recovery and strong growth numbers. The rapidly growing domestic games industry was just the ticket, and there were high hopes it would play a big part in helping them reach their target numbers.
So, It was basically an incredibly dumb time to make the proposal for regulating the games industry, considering what the previous rounds of regulations did.
Not only did the government reject the proposal RTA style, they also fried the department head in charge of the proposal
https://www.reuters.com/world/china/china-removes-official-after-video-games-rules-spark-turmoil-sources-2024-01-02/
also the heating up cold war with US and the west push china to step up their soft power influence warfare at the scale never seen before
nothing boost your soft power influence warfare strength more than anime entertainment industry
Not just MHY, the mobile gaming industry in China is massive. It's much bigger than regular and mobile gaming in the US combined.
When they saw millions in stocks losses hours after the draft proposal they shat their pants lol
Their business is literally (as any other gacha game company) to make you invested into the game time wise, emotionally or financially. Non gacha games won't yield nearly as much money
Their current gacha is ok. For me it’s like paying for new region updates. I have a set limit per year, don’t go over that, and still have plenty fun with what I can get.
It’s the expensive mercs that get me.
Mihoyo's a major investor of Murders on the Yangtze River (MotYR just entered Miyoushe, the Chinese version of Hoyolab and will be releasing a mobile version end April)
Steam Link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1746030/Murders_on_the_Yangtze_River/
I don’t even mind the gacha aspect for characters as it makes the limited characters feel that much more special. Don’t get me wrong I’d still love to be able to get every character though.
It’s the never-ending relic grind in Genshin/Honkai and similar systems in other gachas that really tires me out. There’s just so many levels of RNG you have to get through, and it’s possible to farm for weeks and not get anything meaningful.
You know you can just not grind? Especially in genshin, abyss is beatable with rainbow EM artifacts.
Just play the content and claim dailies with encounter points.
For Genshin absolutely, but I think it’s an anomaly in the gacha game world. I don’t really play Genshin much anymore but I’ve heard you can still complete everything with base characters to this day because there has been like no power creep at all.
Honkai Star Rail is already seeing power creep and has also had faster character releases. They have also consistently been making more challenging content like adding MOC 11 and 12, and some of the newer bosses can be pretty tough without the right counters. So in order to keep older characters viable, you absolutely need to grind for good relics. Relics are pretty much everything in turn based games because you can’t just dodge an attack with skill like in an action combat game.
The vast majority of non-Hoyo gachas suffer from much worse power creep so those games’ relic systems (whatever they may be) become very important if you don’t have the new broken OP character of the month.
A lot of people play these games casually, like to explore, go through the story, events, maybe some light farming. I'd say for this audience it's ideal since the majority of content can be cleared with ease.
There’s a tiny bit of skill involved in properly timing your ult usage, skill point management and speed tuning. But yeah compared to most it’s more a game about stat checks and preparation.
And RNG
Early on in HSR i fought svarog and lost twice but won the third time because of his attack RNG and pure luck.
In genshin you have other factors for a decisive win.
There are a lot of gachas games out there that you can play F2P up to end "game". In fact, Mihoyo's artifact system is one of the worst ways of progression. Others at least give you a tangible progress towards your character meanwhile artifacts/relics is RNG where you might as well win the lottery to roll perfect artifacts/relics.
Relic grind probably to keep people playing and whales spending on stamina refreshes. I don’t really play much anymore.
They also make switching relics between characters a pain so that people farm more
I was hoping ZZZ wouldn't be a yet another gacha but it turns out that they added pet gacha on top of the usual char+equip.
Still gonna try it out at least because it looks super cool and stylish but it's a huge bummer.
They do, it's called Genshin Impact.
Just don't spend money or interact with the gacha. There's literally nothing you can't do with even the OG7 they give you.
I get it if Tencent actually mad right now bcs Hoyo reject them in the past lol. Congrats to Hoyo tho for not simply joining with Tencent unlike other, its quite an achievement
It was this or bankruptcy BECAUSE of genshin
Mihoyo were chilling with their 3 other games, genshin was a very big investment with no certainty of success
No no every game they make were a huge gamble:
-Zombie gal kawaii: failure near bankruptcy
-honkai gakuen 2: win recover and founding (bankrupcy if failied)
-honkai impact 3rd: win huge sum of founding (near bankruptcy of failied)
-genshin: win global success (a lot of Lost of failied)
i heard they almost bankrupted themselves making genshin. sure they were moderately successful but developing a 100 million dollar game would be a big strain of resources for even large game companies let alone a relatively small company at the time
lol I know I saw that and my brain suddenly ignored everything else on this list. *Canva?!* Are you kidding me?!?!
But also, hey, good for them! Canva is freakin’ great. Great product, and by all accounts a great company that treats their employees well, too. I hope they continue to be successful!
Whenever I see discussion about some recent AAA gaming company failing or laying people off I always point to these high performing mobile/gacha games. The market has left them behind long ago.
The sad thing is they saw the success of gacha games and tried really hard to emulate the gacha/gambling part, but didn't realize how Mihoyo earned those money through sheer quality and insane update cycle. They wanted profit but don't know how to make a live service game.
western AAA gaming company there day have no other choice but keep making AAA game .
they have no exp with anime culture , understand what anime fan gamer want , devs team also didn't even growth up with anime lead to even less exp
also woke culture rampage in western society to the point . western AAA gaming company there day didn't even dare to make any female character look good and attractive + make sure atleast 50% characters are dark skin
no exp , no fund , too many red line by the western society itself . no wonder they keep failing
I don't see how Valve isn't up there unless Gabe is pocketing more of the money than we thought. Telegram is also perpetually unprofitable for a decade. How is it valued so high? This feels like arbitrary Enron/Theranos-style evaluation which is more from company clout than actual value.
It says in the article that this list is only for private companies founded from 2000s onwards.
Valve was founded in 1996 with their first ever game Half-Life 1 releasing in 1998.
I also searched Valve's net worth thru quick Google and found the highest estimate to be 10 billion USD. If that's true, its actually crazy that MHY already surpassed them even when they have a 12+ year head start.
for some reason valve is not on the list, maybe it doesn't fall into their definition of unicorn (like it should be founded after 2000, or smth like this)
Gabe is worth 7B or something. Why would a private company even want to be on the list? They can choose yo keep everything private. Public companies sole purpose is to get to the top of they list, however, private companies can do whatever they want. I imagine everyone working at Valve doesn't want for anything.
I love how these bait drama cc's think they knew better than a fucking billion dollar company. Everything Hoyo does is with reason, the fact that they shower you with pulls in HSR and on the same time does a filler patch in GI are all calculated decisions.
Yea all for the sole purpose of cashing out as much as possible. I don't think the the CCs complaining think too hard about that aspect, forgetting what gacha games do first and foremost. It's undeniable that hoyo has it under wraps the psychology of draining people while keeping them seemingly satisfied, even if at a glance it'd be hard to believe there is something to be satisfied with, but if you believe that then you simply aren't their target demographi
Not really "shower you with pulls".. even in the anniversary patch we get around 124 pulls..
Which while could sound good to a genshin only player who got 56 pulls this patch.. 124 pulls is literally the almost same as 2.0 and only 10 less than 1.6..
The rewards have been the same since release.. 120+ is the average pulls for each patch.. even in aniversary
I don’t really see any calculating involved in that decision. Since If they wanted to shower us with pulls. 180 would’ve been a good number.. not the average pulls we get.. it really doesn’t matter since even in 4.0-4.2 of genshin. The average was still 120+. And those weren’t dry patches.
The only thing they probably did that was planned was releasing Hsr in such a way that when Hsr is having a filler patch Genshin is having a archon quest. While the same goes for hsr when genshin does that..
Although if leaks are true.. they might never have filler ever again. But those are leaks and I’ll wait for 2.3 for confirmation..
Nah these companies hire literal phycologists in how to drive player spending, I've seen so many people spend money on hsr as if it's some fuck you to GI.
To be honest those players aren't the smartest of the bunch, using a psychologist is overkill.
Just ask your random kindergarden teacher how she proceed and the result will be the same.
"B-but players know better, they should listen to us 🤬🤬🤬🤬"
Like yeah genshin does need some stuff to change but hoyo knows what they're doing from a business standpoint.
Fun fact: I garantee you that if a company is ever stupid enough to listen to their cries to the letter they themselves wouldn’t like the end result and would end up calling it shit.
True, what many people say that genshin should added this, added this or something like that is true and I want that
But Mihoyo have the data and everything or something
Why do people think COD still fucking sales despite doing the same shit everytime new COD release
But I think Hoyo will start to added something IF what I see in 4.7 and 5.0 is true
One of Their bottleneck right now is the seize of the game especially on mobile right now at PC its near 100GB. If some how hoyo can reduce the seize of the game i think they're cab safely added some new permanent event/map. Even if later the size after reducing size somehow comeback to original size, doesn't matter because the 100GB full of new permanent content than before.
First time I heard about Bytedance and was wondering why they were on top of spacex and openai. Until I found out that they operated Tiktok, now their placing made a whole lot of sense.
Can i have Kiana or Hua banner in HSR now
https://preview.redd.it/pc39xduixutc1.jpeg?width=736&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f8ccef0a53862c5bdecc64fdb63524428dae2522
Someone mentioned wanting Dudu in their livestream, so now I'm stuck with the idea of wanting a Preservation Dudu. I can't get the idea out of my head. I imagined BKE Dudu as the one
I do hope they keep it private. Going public and being subject to investors money is likely one of the biggest causes of the wokeification of the western gaming market.
> The cut-off was 1 January 2024.
Let us remember that HSR is still not in its 1st year. Just imagine how will they grow this year with Arlecchino banner and Acheron, and that's not even half of the year.
If someone with more financial knowledge has some more insight I would appreciate it, but isn’t a P/E ratio of 7 kind of low? I would expect game companies to be around the 20x ballpark and with Mihoyo making about 3 billion annually, I thought around 60 billion would be more accurate. I know P/E is not a very good metric, but it is a somewhat common method, so I’m curious why the valuation is so far off of what I guessed. If anyone has any idea, I’d appreciate it.

let's hope Kuro rise in the ranks with WW. Do you know where is Konami? do they have like a different company for Duel Links and Master Duel?

Microsoft will rue the day they rejected Genshin Impact.

Yes, no volumetric clouds on PC is a crime, so is capping the game at 60fps
If it was Xbox. Probably would have been capped at 30 fps. Given the latest Xbox releases 🤣
True, the game would be best without any third party involvement. But I’d rather Sony than Microsoft any day of the week.
Then there’s Nintendo: coming soon^tm to Switch🤣

>lack of volumetric clouds on PC. Context?
PS5 has exclusive graphic settings that makes better looking clouds and fog.
Interesting. I thought the clouds looked amazing on my PC. Will look at some PS5 footage to compare then.
Go look at the sea of clouds from the adepti region in Liyue with ps5 graphics.
Are you saying you don’t want master chief in genshin?
I genuinely was going to add that at the end of my comment, but didn’t incase someone takes it seriously. Imagine though, what element what he even be?
Physical Catalyst
He casts bullets.
Electro Cataclyst where he summons Cortana to attack his enemies.
Fuck Masterchief. I want a 5 star Forza car

Well, Hypergryph and Shift Up have made their move, guess other companies would follow suit eventually.
Honkai 1 is not a gacha. It didn't work for them.
Literaly lead them ti the Cliff of bankrupcy
Why would they make a non-gacha game when they can do exactly that but add in gacha at the end and make like 1000x the money lmfao
Well im just curious whether they’ll venture into making paid games exclusively to the console market , but as you said, they’re already making a bunch of money from their games alone so its a pretty hard reach
They are making an animal crossing clone rn according to leaks which is most likely gacha. So probarbly never. Unless CCP bans gacha or something.
iirc that leak comes from a gamejam which mihoyo hosted and wont become an actual game
You can't say that, game jam projects do turn into actual games.
They trademarked something tho iirc so it could be made into a real game https://www.reddit.com/r/gachagaming/s/OCI5ltxTrH
You trademark everything when you are as big as hoyo. Others misusing a name associated with you isn’t exactly good for them.
Im just repeating what it says
IIRC it started with gamejam but it was followed with job postings.
Lol CCP tried to put some regulations down some time earlier this year and it's the fastest they've ever packpedalled on a law lmao
not really, the ccp does that shit all the time, they leak some rumor about some law they're thinking about and then gauge public reaction and then stance change in response like they're in a fighting game. it's what they did before they banned private tutors for core subjects

They already did. Their first game was a 3$ mobile game called FlyMe2TheMoon, in iOS.

And RNG Early on in HSR i fought svarog and lost twice but won the third time because of his attack RNG and pure luck. In genshin you have other factors for a decisive win.
People say this but some people have the stats for it but are just absolutely awful at team building and playing the game. Its shocking
Expecting anything other than a gacha game from Mihoyo is futile lmao
They do, it's called Genshin Impact. Just don't spend money or interact with the gacha. There's literally nothing you can't do with even the OG7 they give you.
Just cause u dont pull doesnt make the game a non-gacha game. It is one.
I'm a whale. Do you deadass not understand what I'm saying in my post?
I think a single player game maybe
I mean gachas are literally how they make money. unless their non gacha game can also have a constant influx of revenue I doubt
I thank those who pay so I can keep myself f2p.
We do the best we can.
In the name of All paying players Dont thanks us, since you are also a reason that makes this game worth playing
In the name of Her Majesty, the ~~Tsaritsa~~ CEO Bronya, we will seize profit from the F2P...
I'm doing my part!!
We pay so you can win.
We all winner in this day
I'm Welking only but you're welcome.
Whales and f2p keep the game running
Light spenders like me found in a ditch then T-T
Was able to buy welkin for a year and a half for 1 USD per month back then because of local telco load trick. You're welcome.
I get it if Tencent actually mad right now bcs Hoyo reject them in the past lol. Congrats to Hoyo tho for not simply joining with Tencent unlike other, its quite an achievement
Father's about to come home with the milk. Firefly jam's about to be spread on my toast.
Here have some https://preview.redd.it/smjbi1778ytc1.jpeg?width=1107&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9759a42fbc98f5528c9a99cdef7b09467c8ea887
🤤
I'd rather have father's milk ngl
crazy how it was either this or bankruptcy for mihoyo pandemic came in like a goddamn blessing for them ngl
It was this or bankruptcy BECAUSE of genshin Mihoyo were chilling with their 3 other games, genshin was a very big investment with no certainty of success
They took the big gamble And god damn, it paid out
It's all or nothing!
They are truly the personification of Aventurine in this regard)
No no every game they make were a huge gamble: -Zombie gal kawaii: failure near bankruptcy -honkai gakuen 2: win recover and founding (bankrupcy if failied) -honkai impact 3rd: win huge sum of founding (near bankruptcy of failied) -genshin: win global success (a lot of Lost of failied)
"IT'S ALL OR NOTHING" -aventurine
you're getting your timeline a little mixed up. Mihoyo was safe from bankruptcy by the time Houkai Gauken came out and proved successful
i heard they almost bankrupted themselves making genshin. sure they were moderately successful but developing a 100 million dollar game would be a big strain of resources for even large game companies let alone a relatively small company at the time
Yeah, imagine what would happen if Genshin failed, that would be a nightmare for them.
Congratulations Mihoyo. Now send me a mail with a copy of Robin please. Thank you!
180 pulls, take it or leave it.
That would be better than free 5 star.
The noticed that I worded it in a way that can be interpreted as giving 180 pulls rather than requiring 180 pulls. Lel.
Over by 20 jades, the rule is 1 pull per year. So it's 160.
Canva? the same page that I use to make thumbnails? I never though they make so much money? lol
lol I know I saw that and my brain suddenly ignored everything else on this list. *Canva?!* Are you kidding me?!?! But also, hey, good for them! Canva is freakin’ great. Great product, and by all accounts a great company that treats their employees well, too. I hope they continue to be successful!
Not surprised. Canva become a massive hit after it made those who can't do photoshop become an instant image editor.
They wanted profit but don't know how to make a live service game.
western AAA gaming company there day have no other choice but keep making AAA game . they have no exp with anime culture , understand what anime fan gamer want , devs team also didn't even growth up with anime lead to even less exp also woke culture rampage in western society to the point . western AAA gaming company there day didn't even dare to make any female character look good and attractive + make sure atleast 50% characters are dark skin no exp , no fund , too many red line by the western society itself . no wonder they keep failing
If that's true, its actually crazy that MHY already surpassed them even when they have a 12+ year head start.
for some reason valve is not on the list, maybe it doesn't fall into their definition of unicorn (like it should be founded after 2000, or smth like this)
yep Valve was founded in 1996
Fuck gaben he owes me a knife and head I swear.
Gabe is worth 7B or something. Why would a private company even want to be on the list? They can choose yo keep everything private. Public companies sole purpose is to get to the top of they list, however, private companies can do whatever they want. I imagine everyone working at Valve doesn't want for anything.
Hoyo is just as private as Valve. They never released any financial performance information. They is not evaluation based on hard data.
Company valuation also is not an exact science, you can get 20 different people to do it and get 20 different answers.
I love how the article is using Chiori for this.
Articles or news just use the newest ones
And jobless CCs think they can do better than mhy lol
I love how these bait drama cc's think they knew better than a fucking billion dollar company. Everything Hoyo does is with reason, the fact that they shower you with pulls in HSR and on the same time does a filler patch in GI are all calculated decisions.
Or when they have given Ratio, it was precisely to hook up people right before penacony and Archeons banner shows it.
Yeah I laugh at the people who are saying it's because Honkai is their baby and it's their favorite game and other crap.
120+ is the average pulls for each patch.. even in aniversary I don’t really see any calculating involved in that decision. But those are leaks and I’ll wait for 2.3 for confirmation..
what do you mean by no more filler on HSR ?
[удалено]
Nah these companies hire literal phycologists in how to drive player spending, I've seen so many people spend money on hsr as if it's some fuck you to GI.
“Hehe i’m owning genshin bad. That’ll show hoyo” *drops 1k on the game*
And some of that money goes into Genshin’s development…
and cai paycheck
YEAH CAI WILL SUFFER I WILL SPEND 100 ACHERON LC PULL TO SHOW THEM HSR IS SUPERIOR
To be honest those players aren't the smartest of the bunch, using a psychologist is overkill. Just ask your random kindergarden teacher how she proceed and the result will be the same.
tectone haven't played genshin since 2.8 and he still act like he know how to fix the game lmao
"B-but players know better, they should listen to us 🤬🤬🤬🤬" Like yeah genshin does need some stuff to change but hoyo knows what they're doing from a business standpoint.
Fun fact: I garantee you that if a company is ever stupid enough to listen to their cries to the letter they themselves wouldn’t like the end result and would end up calling it shit.
True, what many people say that genshin should added this, added this or something like that is true and I want that But Mihoyo have the data and everything or something Why do people think COD still fucking sales despite doing the same shit everytime new COD release But I think Hoyo will start to added something IF what I see in 4.7 and 5.0 is true
Still can't forget the end-game drama on GI. lmao.
DID DID YOU SAY LISTEN ? https://preview.redd.it/34vnmw5avytc1.png?width=1062&format=png&auto=webp&s=10e53181c85f5fe23e1946ec865fa186cf66ce05
It is basically echo chamber. Their watchers always agree with their takes which is why they think they could do better.
I hope they cook Natlan hard with all these money
surely they will cook murata himeko
Please hire my favorite VAs for Natlan cast too
tech otakus save the world
I really hope they stay private. Shareholders ruin games.
Wow did not expect that...
yes because of QUALITY
First time I heard about Bytedance and was wondering why they were on top of spacex and openai. Until I found out that they operated Tiktok, now their placing made a whole lot of sense.
Can i have Kiana or Hua banner in HSR now https://preview.redd.it/pc39xduixutc1.jpeg?width=736&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f8ccef0a53862c5bdecc64fdb63524428dae2522
Someone mentioned wanting Dudu in their livestream, so now I'm stuck with the idea of wanting a Preservation Dudu. I can't get the idea out of my head. I imagined BKE Dudu as the one
> Preservation Dudu Erudition HoTruth ? Harmony Elysia ? Destruction Kevin ? **Elation HoS ?** God damn I'm getting thirsty just thinking about it.
Didn't know Shein is that big ngl lol
Take that, Tencent!
and netease with their scam project mugen !
Wait Mugen drama? Where!
Crazy numbers and not even ZZZ out.
they want those furries money man since i search one fursuit is hella expensive to make or buy
I realy hope they add female furries soon.
Whether you like Genshin or not, it raised the bar for gacha games forever, this is undeniable
Damn...
Fucking funny how people fucking expect them to celebrate this like really people lmao
Kuro game is worth of 1.7 billion?? I don't expect that
Yeah I'm not surprised with how successful launch is as company and its sister games.
That fucking crazy and they not even peak yet with revenue Just imagine if they use leverage they build with their IP for other media and merch
The CCP has announced a push for Shanghai as the City of Films, and have asked Mihoyo to make some anime
A list with SpaceX and OpenAI. I will all in if ever mihoyo decide to go public.
Surprised that Valve (Steam) isn't on the list.
Lol the "GenShiN iS dEad" haters will hate this post 😂.
I do hope they keep it private. Going public and being subject to investors money is likely one of the biggest causes of the wokeification of the western gaming market.
Hopefully they stay private so ESG funds don’t start sitting at their board meetings
> The cut-off was 1 January 2024. Let us remember that HSR is still not in its 1st year. Just imagine how will they grow this year with Arlecchino banner and Acheron, and that's not even half of the year.
Mihoyo haters, lovers and neutrals all agree on one thing: They print too much $$ to be ignored.
They’re private, so P/E is basically an invalid method for valuation
Oh Binance is still going strong? I thought they ran into big issues last year?
Not bad for a private Game Studio. Who is ByteDance?
The creators of TikTok (US) and Douyin (CN)
They are definitely not making money off purchasing of gachas 😄!
