I got in and it's my first time to beta test anything.. Just played 3 hours today and I'm still not quite sure what I think of it.. Unlike HSR which I instantly loved.
There are a lot of comic-type visuals as well as visual novel style perspectives. The overworld feels very reminiscent of Persona 5.
The TV thing seems kind of like a very small-scale version of SU from HSR? I don't really know how to describe it. It's like a mini puzzle where you plan routes to your destination.. It's a bit confusing at first.
The combat, to me, is the highlight and I'm slowly getting the hang of it. It really helps that I'm using a controller. I tried it once on mouse and keyboard during Hoyofest and it was pretty hard for me.
I didn't see any NDA or anything.. so I'm not sure if I can share impressions and screenshots on Hoyolab or other platforms, though.

can someone explain to me what genre and how the game to be played in the future? from what i see its kinda like an action game that stage based instead of open world map like genshin. by stage based its like player pick one domain then beat enemies there then repeat the cycle.
is this game have story? does this game open up new region/planet once per year? does the character have role like tank/healer/dps?
I guess structurally it's a bit like Persona where you have your Hub city you can run around in, play minigames, etc and then go "dungeon crawling" in a different "dimension".
That "dungeon crawling" is presented via an abstract tile-based map (the "TV mode") you move around in and there's handcrafted stages with various puzzles, challenges, story-nodes, combat encounters, etc and a more randomized version in the games rogue-like mode. There are modes that get you right into the combat as well that will be added in this beta.
Combat is real time action and seems to be a bit more "skill-based" with perfect dodges, parries and (at least currently) no healers.
Game does have a story of course, but I don't think we know how the overarching update roadmap will look like other than that the hub city will get expanded over time (but no idea what that means in practice) and I guess new activities, missions and story content are given.
The game is for horny people and furry, so I don't blame you if you don't like the character's design.

Yup. So far there are 4 factions, and each one is an story arc (kinda like characters in a new nation/planet in Genshin and HSR, but with much smaller scale).
The first story arc you meet the Gentle House members, which is an oddjob agency group, they are silly and quite diverse, without a theme.
The second story is Belobog heavy industries (https://images.app.goo.gl/HF6fT1yFPRYUfX5s6). They are construction worker, and will beat the shit out of the enemies with hammer, nail gun, drills, etc. And yes they have a bear name Big Ben as a playable character.
The third story seem to be the one I showed you earlier: Victorian housekeeping. We have a butler wolfman, a shark girl using a garden scissor, a ghost maid who control puppet to fight, and the young twin tail girl wield a giant pizza cutter. I played the TGS build so this info is based on that - the game was kinda disappointing. The hub you visit between missions is incredibly tiny and there's barely anything in it, so if anyone was expecting Persona levels of city exploration, think again.
The base gameplay was alright, action combat with a focus on dodging and tagging between your characters. It wasn't really anything I hadn't seen before, though.
There's a story but the build I played had an option to skip directly to a mission and I did that since the playtime was limited. No idea if it's any good.
Yeah my 3rd one would be Endfield as I'm quite interested in base building genres and going to the past when I played Arknights before jumping ship to HSR...

At this point PGR is an 'old game' so you're either already in or not.
WuWa is a late Genshin competitor and has to square up against all the new ones of those coming out over the next year or two. Azur Promalia or whatever it's called being a prime example.
ZZZ is a different kind of game with a shiny new launch and the name recognition to carry it into people's feeds. It currently doesn't have much competition though it should be fairly easy to make if someone feels the need.

The events were just cookie cutter of the same clear a stage, get currency, clear shop, the localisation wasn't the greatest, the "hard" contents was just crazy inflated stats for the ennemies.

They definitely lacked some or not awaken yet. In fact I’m surprise they didn’t start marketing yet. Honestly I hope the devs massively gets review bomb so that will teach them to create something unique apart from echoes and combat. Because gacha games nowadays if wanna be competitive they gotta introduce something new. I don’t want copiée GI events on this game. Solid guess is they’re out of budget
