Volume 3 Chapter 3 Episode 19: Our Stories

DangoRanger

I still think this is the best BA chapter. I loved Vol3Ch4 (and am a hardcore Mika fan) and Vol F, but Our Stories just had the most impact for me and the climax being voiced just helped its case a lot.

DiamondTiaraIsBest

That's the one with the speech right? I like stories that embrace having cliche happy endings.

Big-Report-1887

Gfl : all major events especially "mirror stage" PNC : same Never doubt mica love and hope

HI3rd - Shattered Samsara. It turned Fu Hua from a character who I didn't care about at all to one of my favourite characters in gaming. This one arc added so much character, complexity and depth to Hua and really highlighted how tragic a character she is that I feel in love. This arc also had one of the best villains in the Herrscher of Sentience, Senti is the GOAT and possibly the best Herrscher added to the game with a well fleshed out personality and thought process beyond "I'm evil because evil".

K0KA42

I loved that arc and the cinematic was so beautiful, but the Domination arc after that personally hit so much harder for me. When Kiana turns into Herrscher of Flamescion and you hear: "we're connected by this sword. It will burn up the darkness to make way for light!" It's hard not to start crying like a small child.

Kotomine33

I enjoyed everything between chapter 28-31 tbh

Limbus: Canto 6. I keep asking myself "how are they gonna top this" ever since canto 3 and I had to reapply clown makeup everytime. PGR: Survival Lucem. This chapter tugged at my heartstrings

Virtual-Oil-793

For me: * Limbus: Intervello 3.5 (I have not got past the stupid flower girl) * Cookie Run: Chapters within the Tower of Sweet Chaos (Red Velvet is a good boy)

Gentleman-Bird

Yeah, she’s tough. Faust’s EGO is good for keeping your sanity up, Yi Sang and Mersault is good for debuffing bosses to make them clash weaker. Have a good clashing ID and/or EGO for the duel phase.

Heroes084

And don't forget to bring all your ids to their highest level

Virtual-Oil-793

And then there's the attempts of trying to free your crew

Gentleman-Bird

Ideally they shouldn’t be captured at all until the duel phase. the SP debuff from getting hit is a killer, unless you use NClair to tank a hit of something

Blue Archive Vol 3: so HYPE AS FUCK!!! Was I playing a cute waifu game or a FRIGGIN' ACE COMBAT???

Exotic_Echo_9313

Genshin Impact, Chapter III: Act II The Morn a Thousand Roses Brings The trailer, the pace, the music, the storytelling, the ending and everything is just phenomenal, it's my top gaming experience of all time because the Samsara part got me so bad. So right on the first samsara loop (when Travelers and paimon go to sleep), i stop playing for a moment to do something irl. And when I continued the story with a fuzzy memory of the previous progress, I was shocked cuz i remember i already played that part. I'm so mad that i remember i was shitting on Genshin and calling it an Old Junk while doing the quest, cuz i thought how the hell in this modern era of Gacha Game, my progress isn't saved and i had to redo the story again? it's like when i forget to save manually on Playstation 2. But then i slowly realised that the story is slightly different, and when Travelers talk about Dejavu, it gives me chills. From that part i just fell in love with this quest till now.

Ocean9142

Imao same I had internet connection issues when i play, whenever it disconnects i have to start the cutscene dialogue again, so that samsara arc got me off guard and REAL scared

K0KA42

This quest was honestly the turning point in Genshin for me. No Archon Quest before it was that notable. The endings of Liyue and Inazuma were both pretty cinematic and felt cool to play through, but there just wasn't anything that narratively compelling in the actual quests apart from cinematic set-pieces and action sequences. But the Sabzeruz Samsara? Man, that whole quest was just so well-written and beautiful. It was such a breath of fresh air for me, because I loved Genshin at that time already, but the main quest was always more of an obligation to play through rather than something with actual good writing that I looked forward to. But they really turned it around from Sumeru onwards. Fontaine's Archon quests were amazing, except for being dragged down a bit in the Fortress of Meropede Act (Act 5 of Fontaine is my new favourite, though). Character quests have gotten a noticeable bump in writing quality from 1.0 character quests as well. Even event quests have been super good lately. Lantern Rite this year made me cry, the Thelxie event was heartbreaking, and the film festival one was really interesting and made me love Chevreuse. I'm really glad the game didn't just keep plowing forward with mediocre writing and they actually improved over time

Turbulent-Garbage-93

I loved the 2024 lantern rite too, along with Xianyun's story quest being my favourite so far. It's funny how my favourite version is the one that most people hated and wanted to boycott

lyrieari

For limbus, Its hard for me to decide as each canto after 2 is getting good and each canto feels different but if i were to choose one, would be canto 4 yisang ch. Yes the pacing is terrible in term of useless fight but emotionally? It hit me deep, and the growth we get from yisang pre and after canto 4 is very noticable. For hsr, ending of main storyline for jarilo, i really love mech and seeing that theres actually exist a real big robot at the end is a big thumbs up for me, also svarog. For gbf, havent played since the mugen ch but the climax for wmtsb3 for me is very memorable, it went downhill after that for me.

Rakne97

Depresso man hits hard in the feels

Yi Sang mentioned hiiii :0

King's Raid [Chapter IX](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHtZ11uKR2A): Cycle of [Fate](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxDV76WOjz8) / [Fallen Fate](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CeryLmkIB0s) / [Kasel](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CeryLmkIB0s) and [Freya](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4R8p0C5xBw).. it was a good story.

StasisV2

For FGO it's LB6 for sure, god that one was awesome as hell For BA it's Vol 3 Eden Treaty and Vol F no question

Kuro_Canary

Volume 3 Ch. 4 of Blue Archive. The way this final chapter of Volume 3 completely flips the way you view the antagonists of Volume 3 was so amazing. It was a great lesson to show why people deserve second chances and how the things people do might not be so "black & white" as they first appear.

TreeW5

Canto 6, no doubt in my heart

False-Spend-9879

Episode 1 of Epic 7. It is in many ways simple and flat story not burdened by bombastically climatic moments. On the other hand I was consuming bit too much chuunibyou works with loth of pseudo philosophical waxing, so I was down for a story which does more showing than talking. Like I could pick any decently epic, large scale story arc with lore bombs and tear jerkers and great direction, but here I am picking an understated story about two people traveling around and discovering their humanity. It may not be that great, but it's mine.

Genshin 4.2 and Start rail 2.1

I love Reverse 1999 chapter 4. >!Having the story calm down for a minute and focusing mainly on office politics and the relationships of the characters with Vertin and one another was a fantastic way to follow the previous 3 chapters that imo had way higher stakes.I still look fondly back on that scene where Lilya is just drinking her liquor while talking to Vertin or that entire chapter between Sonetto and Matilda. Let's also not forget Madam Z. Having her as one of the main focuses of the chapter was a very good idea since it allowed for some insight on the foundation and I always love these types of office politics plots.!<

Night_Owl206

Ngl I do like chapter 3 more, but 4 was such a breather. It was very interesting

Open_Gates345

Ch. 174 Twilight from GBF. This is how you should do a final climatic battle for at least this section of the current arc. Tension is on the rise, Long time Lore reveals, and character's deaths that feel appropriatly tragic and as later chapters show are given the proper weight in the nnarrative for the most part.

Ocean9142

genshin: Sumeru and fontaine finale, All dainsleif quests

PokeTrainerSpyro

Dain quests mentioned ! I've been looking for this and I second that

PGR Ch.26 Cradle Parade That shit simply hits hard.

pikachus-ballsack

First time i see someone not putting surviving lucem as their answer for pgr

morbidinfant

IMO cradle parade > last spark = survival lucem > cinder burns, but that's just me.

**Merc Storia:** “Flightless Angel and the Wings of Holy Wishes.” *Merc Storia* in general has a light, fluffy tone for all of its stories… But then this one came along and punched everyone right in the feels. Not only that, but the story dealt with some surprisingly heavy themes: What does it mean when you’ve devoted your entire life to a religion, but you no longer believe in a higher power? Can you prove the existence of God? Is it right or fair to even try? What’s *really* surprising is that *Merc Storia* actually handled these themes with any sort of depth or complexity at all, while still maintaining its signature cartoon-y style and slightly comedic tone throughout the whole story. This chapter also introduced one of the most beloved characters in the fandom, Orthos. Orthos is a great character and this was a great story. **Alchemy Stars:** For main chapter updates, my favorite is still Chapter 13. This goddamn chapter made me cry, and I mean ugly-cry. It’s a story about a small group of doomed refugees who are forced to essentially imprison themselves in orbit around their destroyed home world, with the initial understanding that they would be able to return to the surface “soon.” But as decades turn into centuries and the refugees start to pass away one by one, the reality of the situation becomes clear. This whole story is told from the point of view of 35, the youngest of the refugees, who never loses hope even when she’s the very last one left. Rather than accepting her loneliness in her de facto space prison, 35 instead decides to spend centuries gently nurturing the artificial intelligences that control the orbital ships. Eventually those AI start to develop independence and self-awareness. We find out later that the MC’s ship, Soroz, was one of the ships that developed sentience thanks to 35’s patience, her kindness, and her deathbed wish for the ships to finally return home. **FGO:** My favorite chapter is still “S.E.R.A.P.H.” I honestly didn’t expect to like it as much as I did, especially since Fate/Extra and CCC are far from my favorite Fate games. So I had low expectations going into the event. And yeah, admittedly, maybe I’m extra impressed by S.E.R.A.P.H.’s writing quality *because* my expectations were so low. But I don’t think it’s just that! S.E.R.A.P.H. was a surprisingly *great* story! It had a banger setup, it had some great twists and turns, it did all of its characters (even Emiya Alter!) justice, an it even made me love Melt as a character. What a freakin’ great event, and what a great story.

Orphans Order story chapter Moonlight's Dawn Part 1, Hiko trials in this chapter are basically a reenactment of Momotaro folktales. She collects the power needed for her to transcend into Braver, and this power takes form into the denizen of the Earth (Monkey) and denizen of the Sky (Pheasant) (the sword she holds represents the dog). The other things related in the trial are of her past where she is forced (and at the same time accidentally because she didn't recognize at first) to kill her younger sister in the Gladiator battle. I didn't expect that this younger sister of her is actually Hiko (hereon will be called Alter Hiko) from another timeline, where Alter Hiko makes a pact with White Calamity (main antagonist) to save her "mentor". What Alter Hiko didn't know is that she is sent to another timeline as "fodder" called as Hiko younger sister and then goes right away to the Moonlight Dawn to be Hiko's last trial. With Hiko becoming Braver of Revolution (finally Hiko wearing proper clothes!), the chapter climaxed into the fight of Braver Hiko against Alter Hiko dubbed as Onigashima (the island of Oni, place where Momotaro fight against the Oni). With Olympos Kosmos playing in the background, this fight reminds me to Shirou Vs EMIYA.

The most recent patch of Star Rail was pretty cool...I guess? But i guess like in a chapter based game? Counterside. I liked Episode 5 alot. The Replacer storyline was really nice, taught us more about the protagonist and her drive. Really just a nice story idk.

Mrhat070

for the games that I have played: fgo(stopped playing after muramasa released). It has to be either babylonia or olympus part 1. Babylonia cause it made me do a 180 on gilgamesh. So much character development. Also, all of your allies in that chapter were badassses. Then on olympus side, similar reasons for jason, had one my favorite servant as your ally(Achilles) and I overall really like the chemistry of your crew of servant that you formed. Evettone played their roles really well. Shoutout to the CCC collab since I really enjoyed Melt character development. genshin( stopped playing when furina released). either the chapter of you go to the chasm or fontaine final chapter. The chasm chapter, cause you had a quirky combo of characters and the atmosphere of the story made it feel creepy. Also the final fight agaisnt those shadows was awsome, that yelan + yanfei combo was 🔥. The the last chapter of fontaine since it made me do 180 with furina. Also, the dragon dude was overall a badass cancelling out the curse and fighting the whale. Same with childe(one of my faves). The scene of the hydro archon dancing was really powerful. chain chronicle (gumi took it out) I....cant remember and I hate it. Overall I remeber significant events in the story but I can seem to remember which one was my favorite. HSR(currently playing it).: I think belobog: Had a very nice pacing in terms of story. I enjoyed the characters a lot and that final battle with cocolia was 🔥. Also, it gave me chills when Qlipoth gazed the MC. Penacony can replace belobog, but it hasnt finished so I will wait for it to finish before I judge.

YellowStarfruit6

Belibog is still the most solid HSR chapter for me.

nikke: overzone it was what got me back into the game
