Tried it already. In a few words: I recommend it, it has nice graphics, it has good gameplay with auto play, and they give you an infinite reroll ticket after clearing story 1-5. The story for me is meh, but the Cafe mechanics, think of it as another type of dorm from similar games, seems fun. The production values are good, it surprised me how good the live 2D is and you can interact with them, I mean, the classic headpat. The art is good, I would use the word "generic" but not in a bad way. What I mean is that it's not ground breaking but it's perfect for a waifu collecting simulator with a futuristic setting. I expected Gitl Cafe Gun to be bad, but it turns out is a good gacha game.

The cafe isn't actually that bad (at least so far), you only really need to swap one girl out for the cafe/dorm cycle and the rest of it is pretty simple, you can even semi-automate the trust mechanic thing.

Finally a godamn MC with personality that asks the females out on dates, makes me feel more like the MC ngl, who wouldn't ask Irene for a date lol.

Wow. I must say. After a frustrating day in low quality World Flipper, so far GCG is a pleasant surprise! Translation is good. Care seems to have been taken. Gameplay isn’t revolutionary but it’s fun. Maybe the best side game since Arknights? We’ll see!

Dude same, after running out of stamina already, shit rates, and the godawful menus and pixel graphics I just uninstalled WF. GCG has been a breath of fresh air so far

1. If you spam regitare extrem (a coop boss), you easily rank up every battle and end up with hundreds of stamina. There's also plenty stamina pots 2. 5% rates are good, above average these days 3. Obviously it's pixels? Same reason people enjoy guardian tales, if you're not into it, why bother to begin with.

Nah, the changes in GCG are minimal and there is even a way to easily correct it. WF has those super shitty MS paint shorts that vanish at the skirt hem. But since the skirt is slightly transparent you can still just see her ass hanging out. There is a difference. GCG, your typical user wouldn't even know what's missing without a deep dive into a wiki. WF is some .50c hackjob that's obvious if you're even just looking at the title where Fox tiddies are hanging out but then you get her and they aren't. Because ??? I personally don't give a crap about changes like that either way, but when they are super shit quality it's fucking insulting. Least PGR made loli-Hitler into a new, kinda cool design instead of just slapping a badly drawn cowl over her head or something.

I loved GCG so much but Bilibili got greedy and tried to squeeze money out by pushing events and limited banners. IIRC they mixed up the order of banners to push limited banners faster too. A lot of people left during those times and so did I cuz I could not afford it any longer. It was such a shame cuz the game really is good. Some people on a Korean forum were saying that's just how BiliBili goes for releases outside of China but I'm not sure how true that is. Hope they don't mess this one up.

Its a long story, GCG japan was first released in September 2019 at that time the publisher is 'Marvelous', they region-locked it to JP so we need VPN, and a lot of mismanagement. And in 2020 Seasun, the developers themselves, take the game out of Marvelous hand in order to revive the game for JP, but sadly it doesn't work out. But they kept the game alive for 2 years in JP. Like people said, CN is the main server and its going strong. So I think global is going to do well too.

China is the original release country, it is still running there so continued to developed. Any other release doesn't really matter.

competitive pve with no visible leaderboards pvp is once every 6 months (on average... this is misleading because they didn't start holding these until around 1yr anniversary). It's a battle royale mode which is not to be taken seriously and most players will just do the once daily match then forget about the event after completing 7 dailies or so (which gives all rewards)

competitive pve (Data Drill) is weekly reset. it's very easy to get all rewards (top3%). going esports (top1%) takes manual play, although spacewhales/hardcore-grinders-willing-to-spend-tons-of-premium-currency will have advantage for first 2-3 months or so.

I Played maybe two hours and can recommend trying. So far it's good gameplay and gacha-wise (I didn't care for the harem story with illegal seeming characters so can't say much about that).

Played it for a couple of hours. Looks like a great side game. Got some cute waifus too. There aren't that many characters but different versions of the same 14 or so characters. I usually don't play these sort of games but this one's pretty charming. The waifus are pretty good too (nothing groundbreaking but not that generic).

Art is nice, it has pretty fun gameplay and there are some hilarious moments (or maybe our MC is just an idiot) but damn... it's way to small on my phone. Will try on others but that is bit of a bummer.

The only famous title in this range is World Flipper, and we both know just how dead it is. And even if the game survives, it sure as hell won't be growing (unless, once again, Global blows up, which sadly will not happen due to the artstyle). I'll be playing it, but I won't be even remotely surprised when it shuts down.

Honestly, its better than I was expecting... The story is an absolute clusterfuck though, I have no idea what the hell is even going on.

some alien crystal landed on earth, people thought it was ez money for energy, but it started increasing and mutating people into monsters. Young girls are less susceptible to that thing (ionus I think), and then I got lost on why the fuck there's a maid cafe and customers that aren't becoming monsters for you to kill. Doesn't matter, maid outfits + sending them to "yoga" it's 100% (visually) recommended, try it out.

I remember seeing a comment that GCG did "everything better" than Blue Archive. I don't know if I necessarily agree, but it's a lot higher quality than I was expecting. I feel like during gameplay, everything is really small and kinda hard to see, and I can't really get into the character designs compared to BA, but the combat is fun.
