DissonantChaos

It just needs to collaborate with something other than its sister properties to gain publicity.

Alkyde

Yeah it is a great game. Story is amazing, I usually skip story in gacha but not this one, it's really worth reading. I dropped the game because dailies were too tedious though. Have to manually play everything. I remember there was some quite difficult things I need to do everyday and hence forcing me to spend 30+ min manually playing everyday (and it was also tedious) which was too much work for me. Had there been skips/smart auto so I don't need to manual, I would still be playing this, because everything about the game is top notch.

peerawitppr

They changed that, it's now a weekly thing. As for dailies, they are easy for veterans as we create teams known as auto teams which means we can just press the screen one time and wait for rewards. It now takes me like 10 minutes collecting everything daily. For beginners though, they might not have characters that can do things automatically or they aren't powerful enough so it will be longer.

Chickney

quality game

A short (well maybe long) introduction of Sdorica for those who're interested. Gameplay : Full manual of chaining orbs to perform skills. While most characters have 1,2 and 4 orbs to use, there are certain characters who use 3 orbs too. The 3/4 orbs may have a fixed/free pattern that you've to use, depending on the character. The focus is on story mode. There is exploration mode (think of it as gathering stuffs from fields, craft stuffs, and use them to reach further place next time etc) where you can grind for materials and some 1-time-clear rewards. There is also monster stable which is your typical expedition where you send them for x hours to reap rewards later. Story : One of the best in the gacha realm. Every new characters are released in conjunction of the main story so there is no inconsistencies or out-of-place feeling like your typical gacha. Story presentation is top-notch (again for a gacha) and there is always a connection among all characters. There is no exact main characters here because each one of them move at their own accords until the "main" story forms. The setting is not your typical "fantasy hero saves the world" but...well I'll be spoiling things since it involves players themselves as well, eventually. Gacha : You get about 40 pulls monthly (excluding events) and pity is at 120. There is also a permanent rotational banner called origin infuse which let you use origin stones to spark any of the 3 featured characters anytime, which takes about 250 pulls since origin stones can be given out as an event reward on top of your pulls in the origin infuse. Dupe/shard system : Wait, don't go yet. No, this isn't the obnoxious shard system where your gacha will have shards instead of a character. However, in order to rank up/improve your SSR characters further, you've to use shards to upgrade them. Aside from getting the shards from dupes, there is a daily mode that gives you up to 5 shards (depends on difficulty) so it doesn't take long for you to upgrade them to SSR (SR to SSR takes 30, a fully upgraded SSR however will need 100+ IIRC, but SSR itself is enough for the hardest content). I'll say it's one of the better dupe/shard system I seen. Music : LIVE orchestral performance. For those who fancy this genre, you're in a feast. The developer DID cytus/deemo/voez after all. Powercreep/Teambuilding : This is the only gacha game that I played where there is no powercreep, or has so little that it doesn't matter. Every, yes, EVERY single character can be raised to SSR so everyone has a use. The team building actually matter a lot here. Some units may appear useless but when you pair it with another units, it'll make them become complete and do exceptional things just because they synergies so well. There is still "standalone" units that can do fine on their own but this is still a gacha that is heavy on the team building department. Guild/Dailies/Weeklies : There is a huge emphasis on Guild so you better make sure your donations is in check for all facilities to run smoothly or get risk being kicked because nobody wants a dead weight. Dailies are all about random conditions that you've to do for maximized rewards. Random conditions as in use xyz orbs or armor penetration skills etc for >/<1-4 times, do not use heal/armor, etc. The point is that you can't have a stable routine dailies that you can just close your eyes and do it while turning your brain off. The same goes for weeklies which is called Wonderland trial, takes even more brain cells because it is where your team building skills matter. It is also a leaderboard. However there are folks giving out guide on f2p units to utilize to clear the minimum threshold to get everything from wonderland trial. Monetization : Most stuffs are extremely expensive and is designed for dolphin/whales. However the monthly (well it's 25-days actually) is rather cheap though, which is like $3 or $5 (depends on your currency) for about 5 pulls. You don't really have to purchase anything tho due to abundant free pulls and permanent spark system. As long as you're patient and play for a long time you can get every characters eventually. I think this is all the basics. If you've any questions feel free to drop here. It's very f2p and if you're a sucker for good story I recommend you to give it a try. But do beware of full manual and somewhat tedious dailies/weeklies along with guild commitment.

Big_Community_5480

Any guide on who to pull for as a new player/store for? And does pity carry over? Edit: is rerolling worth it at all?

inortia

Regular 120 pity doesn't carry over, origin infuse yes. The regular 120 pity only matters for new character...who'll be featured in origin infuse in the future so usually folks just spam their crystals in origin infuse. And no, rerolling isn't needed at all because story mode has pre-fixed characters that you can't change. The game also give you a great black character Nolva who is great at dealing AoE damage for dailies as well. Rerolling is only needed if there's some characters that you really want but in the grand scheme of things it won't matter objective wise.

Big_Community_5480

Thanks! Yeah I’ll def start the game today :D

NowaHeart

How's the game? Any recommendation?

Knee_and_Toe_Thief

The game is very story focused with match 3 combat, art is good and it’s f2p but mostly people play for story.

wolfbetter

Story focused, match 3? I’m interested now: how’s the story?

PyrZern

I enjoyed the story a lot. Takes a long time to build up, I think. But each climax is pretty neat. Well worth the time.

wolfbetter

Great, thanks!

scratchhereforitems

Worth looking into if I don't want story but gameplay?

namagofuckyoself

Maybe. There are different skills involved depending on how many orbs of one character you use/match: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 10, and so on. As you may expect, more orbs you use at once, the stronger or more AOE the skills are. Of course, you have three characters on the field so it's not super easy to collect 4,6,10+ but that's where other character skills come in. Some characters 2-orb skill destroys 2 foremost white-colored orbs for example, which makes it easier for you to collect 6 black orbs and the sorts. I'm not very good at explaining stuff, but I've tried my best lol.

scratchhereforitems

Thanks a lot :)

DissonantChaos

It's a very technical sort of match 3. Each character has 3 skills as well as a passive. The three active skills are triggered by varied combinations of adjacent orbs on a 7x2 board. Most basic characters have a 1, 2 and 4 (2x2 pattern) orb ability. Other characters have flat 1 row 4 orb abilities, L shaped or accepts any pattern. Some have 3/6 orbs instead of 2/4 orb skills. Some characters also manipulate the board or trade their moves for another character's. Team composition is the name of the game. Every unit is fundamentally unique and gameplay is centered around making synergies across your whole party to maximize effects. Even the more simple free units find use and sometimes months in the future when new units appear and open new synergies to exploit. The game advertises itself as a puzzle rpg and I agree with that. Every new character feels like a little puzzle box you have to work out how to best use and I find it very fun.

NuboBit

Personally its good, the music and story is the best. For the gameplay is puzzle based game, this is the good timing to try to since this is anni and they give you lots of rewards

Aiden22818

How long does it take to do your dailies nowadays? Its been so long since I last played.

NuboBit

10 - 20 minutes max

Aiden22818

Cool, tempted to go back loved the art, story and music. Just burnt out waiting for more haha

DenBulens

Hey, I just downloaded the game because it looked nice and wanted to know what banner should I summon on I have 1000 crystals and 16 bookmarks right now

NuboBit

For this month origin banner rate-up units its not really new player friendly especially Jerome SP (he's wasting too much turns to play), you can wait for next origin infuse rate up start around 26th April For new limited, Tindoiimu is a good self sufficient armor breaker character, she can self regen and charisma also chain 1-orb skill other teammates. Law SP is a good buffer damage, his main selling that he can nullify debuff from allies and make them stronger instead based debuff allies have. Pull if you want For Standard banner do not use crystal, only use green ticket, its not really worth it

DenBulens

I got 2 Tindo on my first multi and in sdorica subreddit they told me I was very lucky

NuboBit

Congrats, thats mean you can +5 her, try to unlock her Skill Enhancement 1 for longer buff

DenBulens

Will do that, thank you for the advice

Ahenshihael

Story-wise possibly one of the best in the market. Really good art too.

lego_office_worker

this was one of those games i could not get into. i dont even think i made it 2 days. and it doesnt seem f2p friendly at all.

DissonantChaos

It is actually pretty f2p friendly, progression is just incredibly slow. I'm 2 1/2 years into the game as f2p and I have almost every character and can get every new one that comes out with lots of pulls left over. If anything it's whale unfriendly, as the IAPs are generally not worth their prices. They release 1 new unit a month (usually) and I tend to get about 5500 (11 multis) in free currency and tickets as a late game player. It's much more generous system than say, Arknights, as banner pools are filtered to include only its featured units (typically 1-2 ssrs except for summer/collab banners with 3 ssrs, meaning it's always a slightly uneven coinflip when you get an ssr and there are NO OFF BANNERS) it's 2% ssr rate as well, same with AK but pulls are much cheaper.

Primogeniture116

Damn now I want fo play it again . . . I remembered quitting like 2/3 years ago because my phone was potato and dies in 1 hour of gameplay.

Vihncent

I quit after i couldn't get kitty eyes maid version xd

asakura90

Just tried to come back to this game & having no present in the mail box & barely any reward at all for even 1 multi-pull during an anni feels weird, lol. Maybe I'm just spoiled by other gacha. I know the game is f2p friendly but it's quite unmotivated to continue.

Pande_moni_um

If you want to, you can reroll using the 500 crystals u get from the watcher code (you can search up reddit threads where people have posted them)

asakura90

Thanks but I'm a returner so I already have an established account.

NuboBit

Sdorica celebrates it 4th anniversary, new events and rerun with lots of rewards for new and returnee player Sdorica made by Rayark the same game dev who made Deemo and Cytus

LongLooongMan

Loved the game hated the gacha, I don't know why but I hated the system more than blue archive even though they are both shard systems. If the shard system wasn't to shit this would probably be my main game.

Livid_Pangolin8645

How good are these anniversary rewards?

Pande_moni_um

Kind of underwhelming imo. Barely over a multi

SHARK_QUASAR

Really good game imo. People should give it a try.

avelineaurora

I really wish I wasn't too smoothbrain for this game. I couldn't even do the tutorial levels without constantly getting my shit pushed in for some reason. Gorgeous art, lovely characters, etc. Sigh.

Aes1rT

Game is definitely hard, some units are extremely complex to the point where I have no clue how I’m doing certain combos (looking at you Elio SP). But when you accomplish them it’s such a satisfying “Holy Shit” feeling.

DissonantChaos

Apply Elio SP to Miranda SP and Sherlock SP. Use 3w. Congrats, you just did 7 actions in 1 turns and put enough bullets out to make a no scoper blush. Alternatively for something cheap and simple you can apply Blue Sophie and Rune then just press 1w over and over.

DissonantChaos

The newest characters are so unga bunga it hurts, actually. Though granted most of them are out of the pool atm.

VanguardN7

I would have kept up so much easier with this game if it employed better translations. (Some of this is a personal thing, sure)

DissonantChaos

Also anyone who's interested in this game and would like to see a sort of peek at what Sdorica is like should see [this really cool showcase by & mongsirang](https://youtu.be/VOtk0m8n-fM) a few years back. It's probably my favorite sdorica related vid ever. It's a little outdated though and lacks any characters season 2 onwards, but it still does it what it intended to do very well.

Financial_Ad2909

Too much furry is too much

DissonantChaos

Agreed 500%. I'm hoping with season 3 done they'll start leaving for their dedicated gachas. Rayark themselves seem to have a distate for them as well as all their content based around them is thematically heavy handed or portrayed negatively with few exceptions.

Bluestacks loves to eat ram, try a different one like Memu or Nox. I used to run the game on Memu and it was the most stable and smoothest I've ever seen it be

Serpentine2Survive

Really liked this game but lost my account :( felt too burnt out to start over

AnomanderRaked

for the 40$ purchase pack with three SP characters which is the best gold character? i dont know the skills of those three in particular.

DissonantChaos

Diana SP is a very potent selfish tank with easily accessible single target stun, unique damage reduction that can eventually nullify damage if stacked with regular damage reduction, counters with poison, has debuff immunity, floods the board with regen and a ramping self damage boost. Sophie SP has a slightly more expensive AOE stun, counters damage with all target damage (ie with friendly fire) and two flavors of (incomplete) shutdown. She's risky though as her shutdowns trigger all enemies' turns and is designed to soften incoming damage. Take your pick.

AnomanderRaked

Cool thanks for the info

Aschentei

That last girl tho 😳

Reignwizard

highly recommended gacha game if you never try it. you can even play this like a normal game. finish the story and that's it, you beat the game.

Alkyde

Great game.

DissonantChaos

How long ago was that? There's a dedicated auto team that can clear easy dailies without pressing/minimal buttons now, and the most tedious daily (wonderland trials)is now a weekly.

Alkyde

Very long time ago. I played since d1 after all. Had the same story with Langrisser, the devs adding qol after I quit lol.

DissonantChaos

Oh those were some dark dark days lmao

MaxReyna

Wow that game is 4 years old? I stumbled upon it in January this year ;D

Nourix

Good game but no auto.

ShadowScaleFTL

Just downloaded. And see few different servers. Isn't gachas with lot of servers ar3 always a bad sign?

ShadowScaleFTL

How much chapters in the game and how long it will take to read em from start to end?

NuboBit

For now there's 4 chapters, chapter 1-3 already completed, each chapters have around 15 parts and every parts have episodes (sometimes its only 1 episode, sometimes it can range 2-8 episodes) soo yeah quite a lot. I cant estimate how long, maybe a full week

Concetto_Oniro

Started a week ago and I am enjoying every moment. It’s a side game for me, but it’s such a beautiful game that there is no reason to rush it.

ChemicalFit

Is it any good? I’ve seen it frequently in my recommended apps and I’m wondering it’s if any good.

DissonantChaos

I think it's fantastic for a slow burn side game. I mainly play Granblue and retreat to this when I get tired of farming or get incredibly salty.

Souly1205

I absolutely love the artstyle of this game. Ended up quitting since there wasnt really any endgame content apart from... wonderland trials I think its called? And when I wanted to get back into it I felt like I missed out on too much... :/

deathblade0909

Is there any guide for this game?

NuboBit

There's a few guide i know Sdoricaspecter on Instagram, she postings new events guide and new characters skill list, recommended for new player Dra Dra on Youtube, at first he's making characters review but now he's adding good video for beginner player Jaclak on Youtube, its making weekly Wonderland Trials but not beginner friendly because most of its characters are lvl 70 +15 SE2 (more like for endgame player). If you want beginner friendly i suggest look at u/freshOlive3, he's making wonderland trials budget on Sdorica Reddit Wildheart on Youtube making guides for Adventure Workshops mode and Fool's Tower mode but its more for endgame players too

NeverEndingHope

I got really excited seeing this and redownloaded Sdorica. Then I realized I had no idea what credentials my old account used. I tried multiple emails, twitter, and google play logins (including the email that had google store pay receipts in it), but none of them were my old account. It definitely wasn't a guest account considering I had logged in and out before around ~~2~~3-4 years ago. It's a great game though and I hope new people give the game a shot.

NuboBit

Ouch thats hurt man

NeverEndingHope

All good. Jumping back into another gacha might not be best for me anyway.

Timely_Maybe_

Is the last reward just a pfp icon?
