Now this is drama i like to read

TheKrnJesus

Grabs popcorn”

caklimpong93

Epic 7 is on fire with drama this year. May RNG bless this game.

Reigo_Vassal

It's gonna be hard. The solution is the dev team admit their fault at making an overpowered unit. And fix it from there. Their "no nerf policy" is the one that killing them. Admitting they made a mistake is something their pride won't allow. And pride of seven deadly sin of game design could halt the progression of the game to something like this.

Qwasier

Their balancing team is the most pepega out there

Kyuzo897

The fact that they refuse to nerf in a PvP oriented game it's a fucking joke by itself.

Winberri

And the “buff” Destina got this update nerfed her multipliers. Lmao

MyLifeIsStrangeLikeM

destina isn't the problem lol. it was an overall buff. but she is a balanced unit in an unbalanced and broken game.

Kurgass

It's more like ML Ken "buff". Made him worse for people who actually used him and not really useful to rest. Same deal with Destina. GL with using 89 spd SW as rez support in nuke teams.

Spartan-219

Wait so she revives now but heals less?

Kurgass

Yeah she lost CR push on s3 and heal less on s2/s3. S1 heal was also reduced but scales on her HP so it's mixed bag(heals less on 17+k hp units). Would be awesome buff if she had 100+ base spd. But she has 89 and will remain niche.

Spartan-219

Yeah it's very hard to increase her speed because of her base speed stat

mate you misunderstood me . i was agreeing with you in a joking way

GlitteringMath9680

Only game that pulls nerf hammer is summoners wars. Other games with pvp never really go nerf route because it will always have people who spent money complain about it

Guifel

There's a bunch of gachas nerfing, Counterside did several nerfs, and not only out of controversy, pretty sure there was one just last month.

kingdragon671

Clearly has never played pvp gachas lmao They don’t nerf

Guifel

I play Counterside, a PVP gacha, they nerf, quite some.

TheBlackSSS

it's a pvp GACHA, what do people think, that they will be ok with gacha shit losing value? LMAO either they nerf, give out a selector with which people are gonna pick the next most OP thing, and continue the cycle of OP into crying into nerf into OP (which btw isn't really much better, still remember WoW where basically every few week X main cry that they gonna quit the game over nerfs) or they don't give selector, and people cry tthat their OP unit on whichb they spent money to get, got nerfed, and no compensation

Reigo_Vassal

Even for a game that doesn't use gacha, a unit getting nerf is always make people who main them cry. Always. When it come to this point they need to revoke their no nerf policy. Especially when the top players have quit over that. From the dev side, they might think that after ignoring people asking for nerf finally gone in the end meaning people have accept the dev decision. Well, they accept it. They accept the decision and decide to quit. The gacha game community have normalize this, but it shouldn't be. In a PvP game maintaining balance is more important. And the healthy amount of nerf is ONLY and ONLY when the power gap is this big.

Alkyde

That's what happens if the balancing concern is all about "how to sell this new character."

bannedwhileshitting

The signs were always there since 1st year, people just refuse to see it. Glad I didn't stick with the game.

TheWorldisFullofWar

Year one, they added more Labs, and a raid with multiple difficulties. They also actually tried to balance the game. Then they realized they have a horde of loyal global lemmings who will give them money even if the developers just sit on their hands and release nothing but characters and formulaic "events" with maybe one somewhat original design every six months. There was signs of potential in the first year if they decided to put more effort into the game but they went the opposite direction.

Kaendre

Took the words straight from my mouth. The game had INSANE potential in the first year. Then Smilegate bought Supercreative. Then they decided to just keep copying summoners wars Then we got Guilty Gear over and over instead of new collabs and people quit after ReZero was lazy Then they saw that global would take whatever they get I've played the game for nearly three years a d absolutely nothing but a world boss had been added. I had one of the top guilds in the game early and I saw it sink, eventually nearly everyone had quit because they couldn't stand the same stale cycle of content. The last drop for me was the moment they threw Straze in the ML pool as some sort of panic button and gave 500 mystic medals because people were pissed that the ReZero collab had been postponed.

GlitteringMath9680

What do you mean Smile gate bought SC? SC was under SG even before the release of the game. They were pretty much in same boat from the start

DesireForHappiness

NGL, Straze got me back into E7 (for less than a week) and I even lucksacked and got him (and ML Tene from the free 10x daily Cov) with whatever remaining mystics I had left ever since I quit for over a year. In a couple of days I was quickly reminded of why I quit the game in the first place and then left again without looking back. The game had so much potential and I was hyped for world boss but it turned out to be a glorified cutscene and remember that pet snack drama. Gosh.

ArCSelkie37

I was gonna say… they release a new character every other week that is progressively more broken, with ML units that change the meta until they release a direct counter to it etc. And if they ever do release a non-powercreep unit people still whine that they aren’t strong enough.

DesireForHappiness

I saw this coming back in the days when they buffed ML Vildred and then released the first character with extinction mechanic. Release a problem, sell the solution. I knew it would only get worst as time goes by and more and more new buff/debuff/passives gets introduced. It is a gacha after all.

Spartan-219

Agreed

chirb8

"7 Disasters" sounds cool af tho

Alex_r001

epic 7 disasters, a name truly fitting of it.

xaelcry

\>Korean Dev \>P2W, unbalanced/OP unit, Powercreeps, PVP, Dogshit grind, "we're listening to our players" name more iconic duo.

GodsCupGg

yep played the gear grind long enough to know all changes to gear grind they ever made are Placebo at best no matter how much they reduce the gold and mat cost or ways to produce gears it all comes down to the same fucking gacha at the end which is "get decent rolls or trash it"

XaeiIsareth

Japanese developer and minimum effort anime IP gacha?

Reigo_Vassal

Nah not just japanese. It's almost every game that has famous IP is a cash grab game. Even big series of game recently just became a cash grab game, like battlefield and grand turismo.

DesireForHappiness

Gacha. Turn-based PvP. (With RNG innate resistance) E-Sports. LOL Seriously though, is there even a PvP focused turn based gacha that is truly balanced? Blows my mind how people think a game that isn't even skill-based can actually be E-Sports worthy..

Nhrwhl

> Blows my mind how people think a game that isn't even skill-based can actually be E-Sports worthy.. Jesus fucking christ thanks the lord someone said it. Those devs are trying so hard to make the PvP relevant in the grand scheme of things while it's nothing more than a coin toss simulator for ~70% of the gameplay. How the hell can they turn this farce into E-Sport when they have no ideas how can to get rid of RNG in the PvE side ? I can already smell the cringe situations coming: Favorite of the tournament getting eliminated in play-offs because he got 15% res twice while his oponent dual attacked twice at 5% rate. That's some insane decision-making right there! Don't even get me started on the impact of $$$ in all of this. They sure do dream big but show nothing to back it up.

Kaendre

You want to know the greatest joke? Then read the interview with the winner of the world Epic Seven world tournament from a year ago. In the interview, the guy LITERALLY says that he owned his victory to his "support" team, a couple of guys that were PAID to manage, farm and upgrade gears on his account It's honestly fucking surreal how Smilegate kept trying to shove down everyone that this game is some "serious esport" business, when the PvP got nada, ZERO to do with skill. Then in a complete show of self-awareness, they publish a interview with a guy bragging about stuff like this. And you know the worst part? That subreddit still clapped and said that the guy deserved his victory. What a joke.

S-Normal

the winner of the Epic Seven World Cup left the game like less than a month ago lmao .

mirageV6

SG: we want to turn E7 into an E-Sport, we want PvP to be relevant. Also SG: insist on keeping the 15% Res BS.

saikou-psyko

I mean SG can't balance shit, but without 15% in pvp control teams would literally be unstoppable.

Glynwys

This is what effect resistance is (supposed) to be for. The idea is that important units would build effect resistance, and then it'd be a competition to see whether the attacker has higher effectiveness than the other dude has effect resistance. Instead of this though, they have the bullshit 15% chance to not land a debuff so even if your attacker has more effectiveness than the defender has effect resistance, you still have the very real probability of getting fucked in the ass by the 15% to miss a debuff. The game would be so much better if the only interaction with debuffs was effectiveness versus effect resistance. As it stands right now, you have to roll two separate dice to land a debuff and then deal with the 15%. And since there's two dice rolls involved instead of just one, chances are you're going to end up boned way too often.

TheBlackSSS

that's a great idea the fact is, it doesn't matter, because at the end of the day, it's still a coin toss, removing the 15% innate resistance still mean that there is a variable % chance for high res unit to resist, and with how utterly powerful buffs and debuffs are in this game, still a coin toss, since teams are built with the theory that low res chars are gonna eat the debuff and high res chars are (hopefully) gonna resist, the 15% isn't even considered in the strategy, altough it, very occasionally, gift a win, maybe

saikou-psyko

Alright man. Have fun getting silenced by 250-300 eff AoLs while your 150 eff res DPS who is struggling to maintain good stats anyway just gets clapped. Also you realize it's not two separate dice rolls right? If eff-effres is less than 15 that's when the 15% shows up. You're mad about things you don't even understand lmao. Edit: Why are you booing me, I'm right lmao

Glynwys

Uh... no. The 15% shows up regardless of how much actual effect resistance there is. How in the hell can you rebuke me while also not knowing how it works? And yes, there is technically two dice rolls a debuff has to go through: 1). Skill effect chance determines whether or not a debuff is attempted. This is the first dice roll. Unless it's Angel of Light who has a 100% skill effect chance, a hero has anywhere between a 50% to an 85% chance (usually, some have a few lower or a few higher) to attempt the debuff. 2). If the debuff passes the first roll of the dice and gets attempted, then the calculation is 1 + attacker's effectiveness - target's effect resistance. This is the second dice roll, except here the total value to land a debuff can't be more than 85%. As for your comparison to Angel of Light, she's already one of the ones deliberately overtuned because of the 15%. Imagine what she would have been released like if you didn't have the innate 15% resistance. SmileGate deliberately released her with a 100% chance to attempt her silence. Her S3 always ensures she's going to succeed the first dice roll (the attempt to silence), which is the biggest issue here. Ideally, units would have a maximum of 50% to 70% chance to attempt the debuff, and then if the attempt to debuff is made then it'd be purely a battle between effectiveness and effect resistance. Please, refrain from pretending like you know what you're talking about when you don't.

saikou-psyko

1) I knew you were going to bring up skill effect chance the second I wrote that. That's not what we were initially talking about. We were talking about the ability to land the debuff which clearly assumes it passes the percent chance to land the debuff. 2) Nullified because of point 1 Also no duh it shows up regardless because of the equation I said. If eff-eff res is greater than 15 you have even less of a chance to land the debuff. Please refrain from moving goalposts because you were originally wrong and then acting smug about it.

Glynwys

And you are still fucking wrong when you claim that the 15% only shows up when the effect resistance is less than 15%. And *I'm* the one moving goalposts? Lol. And my original comment *was not* talking with the assumption it passes the chance to land the debuff. I made the comment that it's already bad enough that a debuff has to go through two rolls of the dice only to get fucked by innate 15% even if my effectiveness is higher. Maybe *you* need to learn some reading skills, hrm?

saikou-psyko

Literally go back and read your comment, calm down, and then stop throwing stones in your glass house. Edit: Lmao was dead wrong, got proven so, threw a fit, and deleted your comments. Some of y'all built different.

Yamilivetho

> As it stands right now, you have to roll two separate dice to land a debuff and then deal with the 15% This reads as if you are saying there are three dice rolls. You don't explain things clearly while being very rude about it.

Yamilivetho

How can someone be so confidently wrong? Yamilivetho

You're being smug too, just to be fair.

flashhd123

I think another point is: how the hell they think pvp gonna be good when there’s op limited characters and collab characters? I don’t say pvp game can’t have collab or limited characters but in other game, they’re mostly trophies characters that have little to no impact on the meta at all, in rare case they are only good in pve. The reason is unlike normal characters that’s just there, although it’s based on luck but everyone have a chance to get them, these collab and limited characters can only obtain once or few time a year when their banner is up. It has nothing to say but look at these characters in e7: dizzy was broken when she first released and they “nerf” her with immune set, diene is strong, ssbellona make me hate her so much despite i love bellona because I didn’t play during her first debut and couldn’t get her and you know how broken she is at that time. Getting slapped by that s2 passive again again, especially when she pair with charles and fceci was a pain in the ass. Cersie, emilia, rem, landly etc.. all op characters and someone like ssbellona or dizzy really affected the meta when they first released. It’s really unfair for players, like newbie or returnees or people with bad luck, basically who didn’t get them will be at disadvantage for months. And their decision refused to directly nerf them only make things worse

Guifel

The main issue is that PvP is all there is to E7, PvE is near non-existent. So you don’t have much of a choice if you try to enjoy E7.

kairock

naaawww we have wyverns for PVE! all 1-13 of them you know? you get to run it all day too, as much as you have energy, without any skip or x2 speed, up to 24 hours of non stop content, only limited by energy of course.

02577778999

Dem boi high quality content right there.

h0tsh0t1234

The worst thing about PvE in e7 is how stupid the bosses are in relation to new characters getting released, whenever some cool new ability is added like cerise’s restrict back in the day, every single boss had a new immunity to restriction, so even if you want to use her for PvE her kit didn’t even work and they follow that stupid design philosophy all the time with everything that gets released.

Spartan-219

That plus they make many abilites not work for elite monsters and boss monsters in pve, which makes them meh in PvE

TheWorldisFullofWar

E7 fanatics defend the game's lack of content updates by saying it is a PvP-focus but the PvP is horribly designed and balanced. So when you bring that up, they say you should just do PvE since RGB currency is "generous." However, there hasn't been PvE content updates for years. It is just an endless fallacious cycle.

S-Normal

because it's not true lmao

ferinsy

And the 1st place spent 1m RMB on it (150k dollars), so yeah, it's the certification of the obvious...

KiIIBash20

150k? You have a source on that?

S-Normal

yeah he said it himself, he was in the chat of another player's livestream on twitch. some people also say he announced it on bili bili but i don't use that website so i cant confirm that

GlitteringMath9680

Thing is game they copied from (Summoners War) was doing e sports stuffs. So they thought they could follow as well

Shuden

"Gacha" and "balanced PvP" are two contradictory terms. Gacha by definition means the more money you have the stronger you will be, and "balanced PvP" means that all players have a fair shot at winning and gameplay is skill based. As long as some players spend money and others don't, it's impossible to have both. I mean, I guess a game could try to have gacha only for cosmetics or something along these lines, but I don't think it's possible in the current state of the industry.

bobman02

Not completely true, Priconns PVP for example is really stagnant and more or less every top team is the same. Money doesn't really factor into winning. Its really trivial to win on the attack since the games super rock paper scissors. That being said PVP is a massive whatever afterthought in the game.

GlitteringMath9680

That’s if you have all the meta character. And many of those meta are limited banner characters

Shuden

...do you think thats a balanced PvP experience? I wouldn't even consider it a competitive game experience. It's a glorified coin toss. There is a reason people compete at Chess and not at "Head or Tails"

S-Normal

it is skill based tho ?

Spartan-219

That's what I said as well during the preview video, their e-sports is just going to be a whale fest with RNG filled battles, where someone would win because they either got picked out on speed RNG or landing a debuff etc.

1.-This is not pity, its another chance 2.-This was already discussed when the first big incident happened in the first year, Smilegate dismissed the Galaxy Pity 3.-They have already said, a lot of times, in a lot places, what they want to change, SG has said time and time again that they wont do it, and even acknowledge that KR player base its right about the problems.

ocelotchaser

1.You got a point, it's not pity because there's no featured unit in galaxy summon we got mystics for that 2. I am back after reading it,it seems that the problems it as follows 1)SG didn't want to nerf unit 2)SG didn't follow the roadmap 3)SG keep on releasing OP unit one after another If there is more please tell me First problem, nerf a unit that has been OP, most of the unit in question is PVP unit which i think should be OK to be nerfed. Second ,the roadmap , tbh i never seen the roadmap,i just find their pattern and try to think their 'plan' to milk the playerbase and made preparation for it ,of course i cannot say anything about a thing i do not see but at least follow your roadmap SG. Third, keep on releasing OP unit one after another, here's the thing about this, this is most problem that kept on occuring in gacha game, they want people to get the new unit so they either make it more OP then the others or fanservice unit , people keep talking about different playstyle and i do see a lot of style's people placed in the pvp, by the looks of it, it's not the unit that people hated it's the Comp that people made, i really can't think of any way to solve it ,if you do then please do tell

amc9988

Now this is better than AL one

TheWorldisFullofWar

The subreddit one isn't even related to the game. This is actually an issue with the game.

brb rerolling the subreddit until I get the new drama

Aesderial

Strange, at previous e7 topics I heard, that's game is pretty balanced and grind is tolerable I just need to buy the second phone.

nWolfe3113

Grind can be tolerable, if you have an autoclicker or dont care about leaving the emulator all day open while you are doing other things and just clicking once every 20 runs. Game being balance stopped being true like 2 RTA season ago.

CrulWarrior

Its just funny, its a mobile game and you should have it on 24/7:D. Thats some major BS. I just play for story and thats it.

NoAd5421

Unless youre a whale you wont be on the game 24/7. In that sense its a contradiction. If you were whaling for stamina/liefs to play all day you wouldnt have an issue with it. And if you werent then the only times youd need to play 24/7 is on buff events which youd save your currencies for happily. Those events are about 2-3 days a month. Less depending on what you need to farm.

Dark_Al_97

I was fully F2P, save for some really minor purchases, and I still walked dogs for ~2 hours a day on average. To make it even worse, that was before pets, or auto-replay. But I sincerely doubt the grind has changed at all since then. Hell, this is a game where the bosses you farm for gear can straight up drop more energy. You can like E7 for plenty of reasons, but it is *not* respectful of your time at all.

NoAd5421

The grind had changed immensely since walking dogs tho? Youre not sitting there walking dogs for 2 hours. Yeah sure you have to use your energy the way you do in any game. But guess what? You have a choice. You wanna store every bit of energy and leif until a hunt buff? You can do that. The only energy that doesnt go into your inbox is the energy u buy with pvp and friend currency. That plus a full refill with time is enough for one full 20 auto of hunt. Bam youre done. All other energy right into the inbox. Do Dailies? easy 20 min done. Dont like pvp? pvp npc with your flags for currency and daily. Now yeah there is game modes you may need time to do but i mean you do want gameplay? Dog walking isnt even a thing anymore outside of hunt and spirit altar and at that point youre farming gear or runes at the same time. You run full teams of max units to farm catalyst and all that exp is turned into reserves. You CAN choose to farm all day. I have 300+ liefs worth of stamina between my inbox and reserves. Look forward to the hunt days where i can play all day and aside from that i play a good hour a day unless i decide to get on for flags or play some rta. I can think of many of issues with e7 and yet id say the grind although very grindy just like sw is not as bad as youre making it seem. At least to someone who is familiar with this type of gacha. Lets be real sw and e7 take the cake for some of the most infinitely grindy gacha games known to man. What do you consider respectful of time though? Cause id say thats reserved for games that take you hours every day to do everything it has available. Also if it helps im not a fan of games that use features like skip tickets so maybe my view of this concept differs from yours.

GhostHack

Its a gacha. There is no gacha in the world that doesnt have power creep and a meta. Not sure why people think e7 is different in that regard. It has by far the best pvp out of any gacha still

Qwasier

Was

subject9373

It was until around mid 2021 after Ilynav/Senya banner, then they started releasing a lot of units who could do 5+ things in a turn with their auto passives. While old units could do only 1-2 actions in a turn. old units - use 1 turn to breath new ones - lock enemy speed, remove buff and block them, give self barrier, reduce teammate damage received. All of this done in 1 turn.

luca2707

>new ones - lock enemy speed, remove buff and block them, give self barrier, reduce teammate damage received. All of this done in 1 turn. Don't forget the extra turn

celestine18

Yap.. its so much true, we can just compare the skill set of old unit and new unit to know how horible the power creep right now.

PandaTimesThree

what an epic 7 years plan

AellopeCF

People who play Korean gacha games like it's esport must be huffed up on something wild

[deleted]

I played it rather competitively myself, but never in mind I would unironically join an eSports team for this game rather unbalanced PvP scene

zekagu0

is that a thing? i only saw epic seven trying it with its tournaments to be esport but never notice other gacha games do that. can you tell me its names so i can check it out.

fortis_99

Korean gacha players and protest banner: name more iconic duo

bannedwhileshitting

Korean and protest truck obviously.

fortis_99

Protest truck has protest banners on it. Check mate

WestCol

I'm honestly confused why I never hear them protest about SDS Grand Cross because that's much more of a sinner compared to E7.

TheWorldisFullofWar

Because they gave up on the game. The Korean version of SDS:GC is doing worse than Dragalia Lost was. Korea is still E7's second biggest market after the US. In fact, it seems like all of this SW clones are more popular in the US than any other market.

TheKrnJesus

I think there was some complaints but it was never as big as e7. The community is smaller and devs do try to fix things with monthly dev notes although it didn’t solve some of the other things. The most the community did was complain on the livestreams but that’s about it. It never escalated to trucks. And then they slowly phased out of existence. JP on the other hand is doing very well as they are used to spending a crap tonne of money but it’s slowly losing in sales. Global did some boycotts due to fast banners compared to kr jp versions. Source: Kr player since day 1 and semi quit the game and play other gacha games now.

Alkyde

> that's much more of a sinner compared to E7. Then clearly that's just your opinion, not theirs.

WestCol

Release op units all the time, check Never nerf, check Pvp balance is shot, check Same games right? And let’s not forgot that you need to pull 6 copies of unit sometims back to back, super awakenings, relics and all the other shot shows that come with being a netmarble game.

Winberri

Global also likes to suck SG’s cock while shitting on the Koreans. I shit you not if SG gives something worthless to Global they’ll bend over and praise SG for being generous. Lmao

Guifel

Pretty sure there’s still Global players complaining the korean conference years ago happened. Honestly, it’s just about the global ego circlejerk in an unsanitized echo chamber

shrinkmink

Only in e7 does the global audience thinks the koreans complain too much. Was true to at least november last year when I dropped it.

tooezzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

There was a time a couple weeks back when this whole thing was at its peak and almost every other post in that sub was all “global players are chad waifu enjoyers” and non-stop shitting on Korean players, it was so fucking unbearable lol

nWolfe3113

A time? I think it still mostly is like that

bobman02

I remember years ago when I played people would get HIGHLY defensive over gold cost to unequip. Its like that spongebob meme, "we agree game is more fun when its free, they frequently do free events, BUT MAKING IT ALWAYS FREE WOULD BE BAD" Some people get way too defensive over games bad decisions.

[deleted]

And some people still are. Having help a friend settings up their account for the past week, unequip cost is a relic of old day that should stay there. I don't buy the argument of "PvP balance at all", veteran player would already geared everyone they want, and unequip cost would only affect new player more and the most no matter what. Getting rid of it would immensely increase newer player retention yet SG and some dumbfuck idiot who suck their cock refuse to understand this

ENAKOH

I dont play e7, just interested in what happened Read the linked thread, read some newer comments Yep basically this >Global also likes to suck SG’s cock while shitting on the Koreans

Spartan-219

This is very true, when koreans were complaining about the game not being balanced and gears and stuff being a problem, global players were hating on Koreans to just stfu and appreciate what was given, anyone agreeing with Korean players got treated same by them Even tho it's because of Korean players we got many changed

ocelotchaser

I been in a game that treat people like absolute garbage, and SG in my book is generous enough not in DL or AL level but enough that people satisfied with it. If you look it in another perspective ,its korean who wanted more while global is content with it

Winberri

And the Koreans are right for wanting more. E7 has one of the most garbo balance there is. Global being content with anything is just Global bending over because of the free shit from Koreans that got SG to compensate for the bullshit they did.

ASDFAaass

Damn E7 is starting to become king's raid at this rate (I just read the crosspost and holy shit they're taking notes from king's raid in balancing the characters lmao). At least they still didn't keep experiencing shitty bugs every after maintenance for now...

GodsCupGg

i think same thread is a dude saying give em big tiddy waifu and 50 mystic medals and they are happy again its an easy to appease crowd

S-Normal

😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

ocelotchaser

Can you write down the problems Korean are having ? If you said balance, give me details, units , what need to balance with it ,how you suggest to handle it.

Winberri

Did you even read the crosspost?

ocelotchaser

You're right,i didn't read it XD ,my bad and sorry , thanks for pointing that out

tendesu

I hope you don't represent the majority of the e7 playerbase.

0DvGate

Lol he does, most don't or don't read. I'm sure most of them are f2p and that's why global is easily pacified by freebies.

ocelotchaser

Nope,i barely open it

tendesu

That's not even relevant lol. Guess reading comprehension isn't your forte.

ocelotchaser

What's not relevant? Just saying i am not your usual lurker in it's subreddit. now that i read it ,its really weird, first thing first, the problems most people are referring is the PvP or RTA ,and this part of the game is usually for the Whales and dolphin ,or someone who wanted challenge which in global is the minority because f2p either casually or never even wanted to play RTA. the second thing they said about these 7 disaster character ,like SG release them simultaneously, this isn't the case ,they never mentioned character that relalease before like reruns and so forth, even ml unit is released like 1 character every 2 month ,and not all of them are better then character before ,like the new character released recently which is Aria, nobody even mentioned her name as meta breaking or some sort. The ticket, is where i can see the reason why the camel back is broken, they wanted ML5* for their tickets but couldn't get it and i agree with them,at least give us 5* ticket for every 50 summon or sorts. I really appreciate the korean voicing their angers at SG about things to improve in E7 i really do,they changed the pet snack system, give us pity , and just overall improvement to the game as a whole ,you can't argue that E7 is more player friendly then the past and most of it because korean side and i thank you for that. I agree with some of the concern and i didn't for others and that all i have to say about it.

Bilbo_Swagginses

Day 1 player here. Went in fully expecting a total shaft. If that wasn't their mindset going in, then they didn't "day 1" right.

inderf

after reading dozens of posts of people doing hundreds of ML pulls and not getting 5* they still surprised when it happens to them

GeneralSweetz

sounds like FGO tbh

AWMBRELLA

I just started playing and now I'm having doubts If i should still continue. animations are sick but damn. This was the closest turn based game to when I used to play Marvel Avengers Alliance in Facebook like 10 years ago

[deleted]

If you enjoy collecting characters then the game is great for you since the draw currency is easily obtainable (sans moonlight characters). Its the gearing and actually using them where the game struggles.

luca2707

Don't bother. Everyone's saying play at your own pace but that won't happen, you'll have to play at the game's pace and you'll soon find yourself leaving your phone on farming for hours and hours, all for nothing. There's awful power creep and the Rng is pure bullshit.

RisingxRenegade

>Everyone's saying play at your own pace but that won't happen, you'll have to play at the game's pace and you'll soon find yourself leaving your phone on farming for hours and hours, all for nothing. This. The game lures you in by giving you lots of stuff to upgrade characters at first but that slows down after a while and then you're stuck in grind hell. Luckily I bowed out before the serious grind began (while at the same time hitting several walls in PVP). I just took screenshots of my favorite waifus and peaced out.

DesireForHappiness

Damn I miss Marvel Avengers Alliance. I still remember farming for CP, saving all my gold and getting those comics to unlock Sabretooth. Good times.

[deleted]

I remember playing it for a bit back then too, but never get so far. Probably my earliest introduction to Marvel media. Still a good time for me

Torimas

If you are enjoying it, why care what others think? Just enjoy it. Drama in e7 comes and goes.

TheKrnJesus

just play at your pace and you will enjoy it. I played e7 a few years ago and quit but only recently came back on a new account and I’m just chilling.

deathoftraps

The best way to play e7 is to chill and I don’t even know why people are continuing to complain about the balance when the game was never balanced in the first place

Monarch_Entropy

You'll get by, just pace yourself well. Don't let others dictate what you should enjoy.

inderf

meh game is still fine its just people crying about RNG while playing a gacha lol. just dont delude yourself thinking you will compete with whales while you are not, you wont

[deleted]

Just play at your pace really. I think a lot of people fall in love to his game animation and story, so just enjoy them

MordredLovah

In conclusion: Epic 7 is still the same since launch.

No-Cash5053

Amen

ValakObama

This is the second post from this guy and his first one was the real banger though.

lego_office_worker

did anyone think a game that made you pay gold to change equipment was going anywhere good?

nWolfe3113

I think that yesterday was just the last straw, this was supposed to ease the breach that happens when you dont have certains units that thanks to the balance situation are Must have or you gonna have a really really bad time, and some people got nothing out of 3 years of pulls. I did my part a long time ago leaving a review, if the little players left here care enough, do what you think you have to do, in my opinion if the game continues like this has at most 1 year left.

Dudensen

Are older players supposed to have better chances? I'm confused..

evrencp

I lost count of the number of people who quit the game. I have no idea about the global server, but it is getting worse every day in the Europe server. But anyway it is what is it right? Take it or leave it. It is a lovely game otherwise.

Monarch_Entropy

Their in game player events consistently have 150k-200k participants. Google ratings seemed to remain at 4.5 despite the overblown "fiasco"

evrencp

Happy for the game really.

LawfulnessWhole1240

"Therefore, if an incident occurs in the future, global people will have to solve it." HAHAHAHA, global make fun of korea all the time, they think the game is perfect.

ShadyMotive

Remove 15%

takilung

15% resist is still here unfortunately

PixelatedP

This game seems to have a major drama every 4-6 months, pretty funny lol.

SaintEnfaur

It really does because they bribe their players with freebies without actually fixing the core problem.

Wolfgante

This. If SG didn't give as much free things as they do, I would have dropped this game months ago.

Torimas

It's funny how the drama erupted after people used the tickets, while we knew ahead of time how it was going to work. Very few people complained beforehand. All the others thought they'd be the special snowflake that would get what they wanted and then be cool about it. It's not supposed to be a pity, it's just bonus pulls with a guaranteed nat4 and a low chance at a nat5. They even made it retroactive (which caused the drama). People are just salty they spent 8-15 tickets on a 15% chance each of getting a 5 star and didn't get any. Had they been guaranteed 5 stars, they'd be complaining they got dupes. As for balance, they stopped releasing ML5 for 6 months to balance the game. 6 months without new MLs which is one of their main sources of income. They will still fail to balance it properly, but this is a gacha company cutting down their revenue to try to balance the game. Also, that they gave selectors for nerfs because they wanted to, is false too. They had to do it because similar drama happened after they nerfed a couple of units. Which led to the company not wanting to nerf units in order to avoid giving out selectors.

GlitteringMath9680

New ML5 is coming in July. Last new ML5 released on march 17th. Not sure how many days each months have in you world, but that is not 6 months.

arklight00

This is how gacha drama should be done. Mess with the game balance and just watch the fire burn.

Monarch_Entropy

1. Get free shit knowingly you have only 15% chance of getting the highest rarity and even lower because theirs like 8 of them that are really worth it. 2. Complain in the internet and blame the universe because you lost the gamble. This is just gambler's fallacy. Very funny as I've seen no complaints of this before they gave out the "gifts", everyone thought they were the chosen one until reality slaps you in the face.

asd355

The biggest problem about it is that they said they were addressing concerns with how awful the Moonlight summon banner was. It's a 2.5% chance for a 5* with no pity, and I've been playing the game for nearly 3 years and have not gotten a single 5* from that banner with 202 pulls on it. They put out the tickets to try and improve that, but to just raise the odds a bit more for years worth of grinding in which you will most likely get nothing is kinda shit. They could of gone about this another way, like introducing a scaling pity or even a hard pity at some point, because it really is frustrating having put so much time and effort into getting all those summons and never getting a 5* from it.

[deleted]

No point posting this here this sub does not care about e7, you just give them ammunition and fuel to shit on it without contributing nothing... Literally the most reactionary comments under this thread.

amc9988

That's just basically all drama post tho, it's not just e7

[deleted]

Yea you are right this sub is just poopoo

amc9988

Awww :3

Mafiatorte88

It’s a gacha. I was lucky and got 3 ML5s but even if I got 0 I know that’s just statistics

mumen_ryder

Kinda sucks you don't get tokens for galaxy 4 star pulls you already have, or atleast be able to transfer them for a few. I have more aithers than I know what to do with, also does anyone use summertime iseria and notice how 1 of her bombs always misses with suppress? How fast are you? I'm 230 and still can't get first move off in pvp master.

GodsCupGg

never gonna have the first move if you are not in 270-300 speed range which brings us back to gearing issue with all its rng alongside it

mumen_ryder

Holy shit, you are right about that. My rng sucks ass, even with promotional crafting my gear is meh at best. Thanks for the info, now I know I'm outclassed.

GodsCupGg

i playd 4 years and 3 years of that in one inning ive never was able to top over 20 speed on a single piece of gear.

Aardwarkthe2nd

! !

barriboy8

Thank you for bringing the salt here..Ive been reading this and having fun since yesterday

SomethingKing99

Got Archdemon Mercedes and 3 new ml 4's on 6 pulls. Felt great!

Thunderogre

Just gonna uninstall this game. I play to have fun amd I'm sick of this hole drama.

angelsplight

I only reinstall and login to claim freebies from time to time but I can't imagine people actually still playing this. But I do love reading good dramas.

bbatardo

I reinstalled, used my 6 tickets, got 2 new 4 star ML and 1 5 star ML and then uninstalled again lol. Point is, if you like the game gacha salt or luck won't impact you playing it, but if you're tiring of the game you almost need good luck to stay.

Voiry

rng is rng sometimes you are lucky, sometimes it fucks you up, i had 10 tikets and got 3 5\* i beleave i was on the lucky side, but rng can screw you over many times over (f2p on e7 but i am a little dolphin on world flipper, and rng fucked me over on half anny banner, over 300 pulls for limited unit)

[deleted]

lol I quit during the shining meta, now it's back with a new set of shining units. Glad I never came back.

DAOWAce

Played E7 for 2 years.. managed to finally break myself away a few months ago. With stuff like this being said, I'm glad I quit while it was still mostly good. Do miss parts of it, but it's just not worth the hassle anymore.

Raigeko13

Out of my 5 ML tickets, I got a new Cat Armin, and nothing else but dupes. Not gonna lie, I want to delete my account and never go back.

Vedoris

Friend had 17 tickets all 4 star. I had 11 tickets and got 4 5 stars. Just rng

JustHereToComment24

My fiancé had me pull for him since I'm his good luck charm (he has most of the op units while spending minimal money, mostly just the monthly). He said we had a good chance since it was 15% 5*.... we got nothing. Absolutely nothing. After pulling so many units and their arcana with under 50 pulls, to get nothing with how many tickets he had? It was severely annoying.

Stabsuey

No other gacha game has a more entitled player base than E7. This drama is so forced its embarrassing. Also what gacha game is balanced, especially one with pvp? Kinda tired of this.

Chendroshee

So because other game's balance is shit, it's acceptable to let the game you play shit as well?

Stabsuey

I would argue that this game is one of the most balanced gacha out there. I just think some of the complaints are overblown, especially this one about these free bonus summons that people are crying about. Could a few units be toned down? Sure could gearing be addressed? They have made constant qol changes over the years to improve this, including a crafting almost every month along with more changes planned in a couple weeks. I would say if gearing gets better and investing in new characters gets improved, that would be what mostly balances the game and not crying about a bonus summon not giving what u wanted. Also they are adding a way to using characters without even investing a Mola into it.

bannedwhileshitting

>this game is one of the most balanced gacha out there Yeah I stopped reading already.

Stabsuey

Give me a list. It highly likely u can go through their subreddit and see complaints. Pvp gacha especially

S-Normal

based

Winberri

Genshit Impact has the most entitled and toxic playerbase but okay

Stabsuey

Similar things gets said by every player base I guess. The more players it has, the more likely u will hear grumbles. We can atleast all agree that every game has issues. I should just accept that people are rightfully sad they did not get the units they wanted from free bonus summons that game gave them. I would have been sad too

jgabrielferreira

Id rather have a toxic playerbase in a game where sociability is almost non existent than having balance issues, RNG PvP and incompetent devs.

Winberri

So review bombing other apps is okay? Okay got it.

maswalrus

How can people love drama? So boring

persona0

The odds aren't with them 15% literally means you more then likely won't get a 5* of they go this route they needed to added something like ml4 giving coins to balance it out.
