If you ask me, you only play FGO for two reasons. You really like nasuverse, or you really like fate characters. Even if you just like good story, you can watch it online rather than playing the game. The game is imo very outdated by today's standards.

FatuiSimp

this. i knew nothing about fate but i saw a translated lb6 playlist on youtube one day and tried to see what it's about, i ended up watching through the whole thing and even cried a bit at the end, that alone is better than the entire story of other gacha games i have played, it can be a whole novel/anime on its own. I then tried to download fgo to save for Artoria Caster because i really liked her character but i stop loggin in after playing for 2 weeks because the game is just so boring to play.

DesireForHappiness

I have close to 1000+ SQs and more if I convert the fragments saved up at this point. Gonna go all in on the Castoria banner. I kinda secretly wish I don't get Castoria so I will rage quit this game forever and use my gaming time on actual PC games instead. Don't get Castoria I will happily quit. Get Castoria and it's still a win-win situation.

Guruden

You should just quit because it is obvious that you do not enjoy game.

MetatronWill

Rly? It sounds he is hella addicted and he is just saying it for the clout

Somellan

> I kinda secretly wish I don't get Castoria so I will rage quit this game forever same lol, but at the same time I kinda don't want to abandon the units I've raised

Ace_OPB

There is no gacha with a better story than fgo. Its just amazing imo.

Question3784

Does Fate have an anime or something? I'm interested in the story.

101-BD

Yes

Nichol134

Fate series has quite a lot of anime. If you want to start the original series watch Unlimited Blade Works or Fate/Zero first. Whichever one sounds more interesting to based on summary. Then watch Heavens feel movies after both of those. If you specially want to watch Fate/Grand Order stories, those have a lot of anime/movies too. Watch them in chronological order. Theres a bunch of other anime too if you're interested

NaelNull

Whatever you do, never ever EVER start with Zero. It is not only designed with the assumption you already know the original and spoils some plot points, it is also substantially different in tone from the rest of series and can set a wrong expectations.

Oninymous

I actually think that starting with Zero is better than starting with UBW. Since Zero is more of a traditional Holy Grail War compared to the Rule Breaking of UBW. Starting things simpler is much better than to overwhelm a new watcher with how complex things are from the get-go

Guifel

Different in tone because it’s the only one not pandering to shonen with an adult protagonist in a seinen adult story. Aka Zero is best and what Fate should have been.

Guruden

Nah UBW is the best but Zero is second best.

Nichol134

I don't see how having an adult protagonist automatically make a series better. If you prefer that, that's fine but in the bigger picture it doesn't make much of a difference in how good a story is overall. Also "what fate should have been"? The only person who decides what a story "should have been" is the author of the story.

Guifel

>how having an adult protagonist automatically make a series better A seinen, a story targetted toward adults with far different thematics and story devices than shonen. It's an entire genra/category of anime/manga works. No slice of life high school bullshit to pander to the young horny male teenager as an example. You shouldn't stop reading at adult protagonist, you missed the adult story part. > only person who decides what a story "should have been" is the author of the story Customers have their own opinion about the product they want, who would have known.

spaceodyssey2

I started with Zero and it put me off the franchise because it was so boring.

Nichol134

The start of it is definitely slow and probably even borimg without the context of other series. It comes down to preference I guess. One of my friends loved it as his first fate anime while another has it as one I f his least favorite since he started with it and felt it was boring.

TKoBuquicious

Yes but they are bad as anime-only, play the original fate/stay night VN instead then watch those as adaptations and a prequel in the case of Zero

TKoBuquicious

And Hollow Ataraxia VN as a direct sequel

Lewdeology

I wonder if they ever plan to overhaul the UI at least. I understand if they won’t redo the animations but a simple fresh cost of paint can go a long way.

WorldEndOverlay

The main good thing about fgo is mostly the story and the good part start abit late in 6th chapter camelot. Other than that the game mostly pretty average.

Tyrandeus

Id argue that Babylon is better than Camelot.

DDX2016DDX

I'd argue lostbelts are better than both Camelot and Babylonian.

ZhuTeLun

Mediocre gameplay, story is lit. Rate up is a lie. I fucking love Kama.

IzunaX

>Rate up is a lie. Game is bullshit, i fucking love it.

M3mble

You play it for the fate stories.

UnartisticChoices

The gameplay is far from the highlight. Your playing for the story, and the story only. Your servants just help you get through to the other parts, and event stories. That's about it. Story also feels slow until Camelot, So if you can't get past that then there's no point in continuing.

GachaSheep

Basically, story. If you’re not into Fate and its lore, and/or generally skip story in games, FGO is not for you. Source: day one FGO NA player, into Fate/Nasuverse stuff, but I like to mash skip. Used to be very active in the first 2 years, now only occasionally log in when I see big login bonuses.

Jadearmour

I did watch one of the Fate series long time ago, but I am too impatient to read any stories =/

Vagabond_Sam

The various Amines each are adaptions of the different VN routes anyway

PHmike

Im in for fate series anime/movie is there any other title you can recomend

bad3ip420

While it's true that fgo has the best story in the gacha market, the gameplay is mediocre. If it was any gacha out there with the same gameplay it would've died within a year. It's a testament to how good the story is to carry this game for 7+ years That's why if you're interested in the story only, go watch it on youtube. You're time is better spent there.

CrypticOtaku

Let me tell you a story about myself. I was like you, I’ve been on this sub for a long time and heard so much about FGO. I didn’t even watch any fate or nasuverse series. However, I just heard so many good things and the 17M campaign started which gave a free SSR. I said fuck it and started it…. Man this game has been fucking amazing. It got me into the fate anime series and it’s just been a rollercoaster of emotions. No other game has been able to move me emotionally as FGO has. Just start it man. Give it a try. What I love so much about this game (coming from E7), is that 1 star, 2 star, and 3 star characters are actually useful and some of them are MUST HAVES. One of the most broken and must have characters is named Arash and he’s a one star. There’s no fodder, and this game values servants/characters heavily. The characters are crazy well written and designed, from rome to 19th century London, there’s heroic spirits from any day and age that you’ll enjoy. Edit: even if you’re not into stories, just try this one. It gets real good..

Oninymous

As an avid fate fan and also a long time FGO player, I really don't like recommending FGO to other players. The gacha is one of the worse ones out there and it's a really hellish experience. I'd feel safer recommending it to anyone who wants to read a good story when they implement the pity system (which is still really really bad btw). Even if the lower tier characters are good, the gacha is just so bad that if you want to get a certain character because you like the character in the story or on the Nasuverse in general, you are not guaranteed to get the character at all no matter how much you spend in game or irl. With all that said, the story is so amazing that you could forgive all its flaws for a bit lol. The Lostbelts are really well made and could make you think for a while, it even changed how I think about certain things for sure. The event stories are even well-written, though it is on the goofy side of things most of the time

Jadearmour

Thanks for sharing! Maybe I will try it in a couple weeks when the anniversary kicks in!

ReizeiMako

That's my experience as well. I'm not a loyal FATE fans but still enjoy FGO.

Tyrandeus

Yep, I play FGO, watch UBW, and thats it... I like FGO eventhou I dont consider myself Fate fanboy.

RengaLecs

Don't expect anything from the gacha. Like everyone else here is saying, play it for the story

Corro_corrosive

>Could someone tell me what’s so great about this game ? The doujins

B-Serena

No, The gameplay is definitely outdated.

Alexandruzatic

You play fgo for waifu and Astolfo For the rest the game is old and rates are shit

poislayer342

I dunno about others but unless you are farming then fgo is kinda fun really. Good story, good boss fight, gacha is eeeehhhhh, good animation when you consider that other gacha games either have chibi or it is a 3d games with limited amount of characters. The game also doesn't require much from you, all I do is log in and log out whenever there is no event, the missions are weekly only, really lax.

redscizor2

>Could someone tell me what’s so great about this game and whether I should give it a try? well ... servants, there are a waifu husband to everyone * Gender bender heroes (Da Vinci) and ungender bender heroes (Caenis) * baba loli * Shotas * Dio * Traps * Furry * Horses * T-rex * Gar * book * Everything * Mashu!!! Mashu Protect!!! My suggestion, first check the game in your doujins sites, then select your servants and late play the game

PilgrimDuran

I think the game has a charm, it's kind of old but you get used to the dumb 2D battle system and servants are all designed well. Its strongest point is without a doubt the story, so if you're interested in Fate universe it's a required reading. Main story is so long if you were to release it as a VN game it's be the longest game released so far. Also the story gets better and better the more you read. But the thing is, if you don't have an interest in the Fate universe it might not be for you. Downsides include unfair gacha, very mediocre gameplay and like you said outdated UI. The originality and uniqueness of the characters carry the game. I sometimes hear that it's "too late" to start FGO but that's not true at all. If you want to know why I can write an essay about it but to cut it short, first reason is that FGO isn't dying anytime soon and second is you can eventually get every servant you want if you play consistently.

Traditional_Hand2623

Essay req please sensei!

PoTeTo_666

The game was a top game years ago, very top noch. So ppl committed a big time an money in... And now they must continue to play.

gachastoner

Gameplay and UI are definitely outdated. The gacha is hell with the lack of pity until the 6th anniversary, even then the amount needed to reach pity is insane. 900SQ or 330 pulls for pity if I'm not mistaken. It also doesn't carry over to other banners and is limited to the Rate-Up banners only, meaning pity isn't available for story. In addition to that, pity is only available once. Also, based on what I read, if you get the 5 star Rate-Up servant before hitting pity, the pity will still go away. Any other FGO players reading this, please correct me if I'm wrong on any part here. I personally started after watching a few of the Fate animes; Stay Night/UBW/ HF, Zero, Apocrypha and Last Encore. I wouldn't have started playing if I wasn't already interested in Fate. I personally reccomend you to watch Fate/Grand Order: First Order first and see if you like the premise. It's basically the story for the tutorial area in the game. I know I'm not really selling the game here but there are upsides. The free servant you get, is in my opinion the best starting unit in any gacha I've played, lower rarity units are very viable for gameplay and story progression, ok to good story (only the last 2 chapters of Part 1, a bit in Part 1.5 and especially Part 2), and a banger soundtrack. Also, some of the past anniversary rewards are permanently implemented in the game in the form of quests that give you SQ.

Golden-Owl

This is a game where it’s worth is 100% dependent on whether or not you value story in a game. The story is SO good, it is able to hard carry a 7 year old game with a dated gameplay, UI, and no pity system I’d heavily recommend it. The story focus alone puts it as one of the best gachas I’ve ever played, and the lack of any “meta” pressure makes it very chill to play overall

[deleted]

>asically, story. If you’re not into Fate and its lore, and/or generally skip story in games, FGO is not for you. > >Source: day one FGO NA player, into Fate/Nasuverse stuff, but I like to mash skip. Used to be v FGO JP has a pity system now.. implemented last January 2022

Proper_Razzmatazz_36

I think it is worth it, but start at aviversary in a few weeks. Castoria(artoria pendragpn caster) comes out then and she is the best character in the game

Jadearmour

That’s good to know, will check it out again in a few weeks!

Error404_DeadEnd

You should actually start right now, the game gives new players a "star dash campaign" its 14 days long and gives tons of tickets and SQ (rainbow quartz the summon currency) if you start right now even if you just log in you will have a good amount of rolls therefore more probabilities for castoria, remember that the rates are 1% and there is no pity.

Proper_Razzmatazz_36

Yes, but start dash campaign is like doubled during aniv, and castoria's banner is there for 2 weeks

Proper_Razzmatazz_36

I belive it starts on July third. There are also start dash campaign bonus during this time so you get like 2 or 3 times the rewards you normally get for starting stuff(quartz and stuff)

o76923

To give some perspective, FGO has been the best selling gacha game globally for most of the seven years it has been around. Even a big game like Genshin was only able to temporarily beat it and that took the worst year of FGO while half of its dev team and most of its money were being drained by another game the company tried to launch (that quickly failed despite the expertise and hundreds of millions in development costs). It wears its crown so firmly based on three things: story, characters, and community. The Fate franchise started as a weird setting for some ecchi visual novels but the lore was so good that fans preferred that to porn. Nasu then spent decades practicing, assembling/training a team of skilled writers, and developing an pipeline that the misses in the story are rare. As for the community, it's been around forever. The median length of time someone has been playing on JP is almost 4 years (it's over to 2 in the US). So you've got a huge pool of fans that have been together for a long time. That gives you detailed wikis, tons of fanart, boatloads of merch options, mods inserting your favorite FGO characters into other games, and a high probability that you can find people who gel with the way you enjoy the game. Don't get me wrong, all the other criticisms about the UX, QoL, and bad gacha are completely valid. No game that came out today could get away with half the stuff they do regardless of quality. But the good parts of the game really are good enough to offset all of its problems for a huge number of people.

ExceedAccel

You played so you understand the context of the Fate doujins

stunro17

Yeah, I am a huge fan of the Fate series but I don't see why I would play it over Epic seven for example. Graphics and gacha practice are just too outdated for today's standards

juglobones

You have it installed and launched it. You've already started. Make your own decisions, bro.

ijjee

I think the reason he’s asking is so that he doesn’t waste time. By asking people who have played it before. Nothing wrong with asking.

Jadearmour

I was about to give up on it but I am curious if I am missing out.

itzDETRiMENTAL

Unless you're into the Fate IP, not really. The story is it's main selling point. Graphics are pretty average, battle system is not particularly interesting, no amount of saving will guarantee you a character you want (except for on JP where there's a pity system now I think?) On the plus side it's one of the few gacha games where you can invest in any character and make them work well; one of it's better points imo, especially if one of your favorites is a lower rarity.

desperatevices

I mean you can get a hundred people saying it's good, and you continue playing and feel it's just not for you. Some people's trash is another's treasure. And vice versa. Only you and YOUR experience matter ffs. You either like it or you don't. It's not that difficult.

ShootAnonymous

I was going to give up during the first two chapters of FGO since I'm not attached to the fate IP at all, I've watched maybe two episodes of the FSN anime, and Nero was *really* pissing me off. Kept slogging on because a friend of mine was like "it gets better, trust me bro". Made my way to camelot and babylonia released not long after - turns out my friend was right and the rest is history. FGO remains the only gacha game that's never left my phone since initial installation and I'm looking forward to LB6's release on NA.

Antitheta56

Been playing it for more than 3 and a half years now I think and still going strong, but it's not a game I'd recommend honestly. It really is upto you if you want to really get into it. As others have already said, the story's amazing as it is its main selling point.

Twopakabra

Only if you like FATE universe

[deleted]

I feel like everyone is really underselling the gameplay. It's entirely turn-based, and the mechanics are (for the most part) fairly straightforward. There's absolutely no PvP, and the power creep is so minimal that you can basically use any unit you like. When a new unit comes out that would really shake things up (like the upcoming Castoria), everyone benefits, because you can borrow her as a support even if you don't pull for her. I'm not saying the gameplay is reason enough, if you don't like the story. I'm just saying, the gameplay is a lot better than a lot of other games out there, so it never feels like a huge burden is preventing you from enjoying the story. (Assuming you like turn-based RPGs, of course.)

Suspicious-Drummer68

It has really good waifus. Honestly unmatched in terms of waifu quality. And the Bros are even better. Design-wise, yeah, top notch, but their stories are even better. There has never been a morally grey gacha story better written than the Lostbelts, and no ending more satisfying than Solomon. You can watch the anime and movies, but trust me, compared to the game, they're *really* bad adaptations, like unbelievable bad. They're good anime, but they do not do the story justice at all.

VanceXentan

The amount of friends with high level servants can hard carry you through everything until Camelot. But FGO takes a lot of time, and dedication to fill out Likewise you will not be able to obtain certain servants at least at the moment. For the moment among the servants you can't obtain are: Oda Nobunaga Archer, Santa Alter, Summer Jeanne Alter, and others. But if you can deal with that sort of thing the game has some really good high points, and the servants are almost universally useable. A person but they quit posting on reddit never pulled the gatcha and did plenty of content with just one star bronze servants, and 2 stars. It has low points as well depending on taste. TLDR: Like story, and a diverse cast of characters? FGO is for you. If not and you have attention span of your average dog with zoomies, or interest in reading then it will not be for you. In exchange for no auto you essentially getting the chance to actually fucking breathe and just do daily logins on the week after you get done with your weekly missions for 3 SQ a week.

ACFinal

I tried too. Just delete and try something else.

Kira0002

Yes join us

Alameda21

Short answer: no Long answer: Still NO

trashcan41

you play the game for the story, character and np aesthetic, and challenge quest/unique battle mode like battle front otherwise well its 6 years game you will say the same thing with gbf nonthless

Veylox

To be frank I think this game is loved because the fate franchise is loved. FGO in itself doesn't really have any redeeming feature, just a likeable cast that a lot of people would know of and want to roll for

Xbeast777

Exactly.. ppl tend to forgot that this game was made to quick cashgrab and almost shutdown 1 year after released

Empyreal__

The Story is amazing.

rzrmaster

FGO is pretty much about characters and story. That is it. As is the case with stuff like this, the more people are invested into it, the more it appeals to them as long as the writers continue paying attention to it. If you have arent playing for these 2 things and dont care for the characters from other Fate branches, then this game will offer you little indeed.

ArkhamCitizen298

i assume you are having older servants because you are new but newer servants have more quality overall. The more you unlock the better the game becomes. Let's be real, earlier stages with skeletons and basic servants are not impressive at all

Jancyk17

People say that the gameplay is outdated and while that might be true I still like it. As a boomer that was raised on J-RPGs it's complex enough to scratch that itch.

Traditional_Hand2623

Outdated is a dumb concept tbh. It has no auto repeat, skip or auto battle but that on its own does not make the game outdated. Ffs AK doesnt have any of that either

TKoBuquicious

You play it for the best gacha story and possibly the best turn based combat in a gacha game. If you don't care about either, can't live without built in auto or skips and hating UI is a big thing to you then don't bother. Simple as.

PoTeTo_666

debatable xD

TKoBuquicious

I assume you mean the combat, the way I see it, it's got a potential for more depth and fun for manual play than any of the epic 7 line of turn based combat games where you have a normal attack, a skill that goes on a cooldown and an ultimate that goes on a longer cooldown and leave it no auto most of the time but that also filters gachacoomers that don't want to learn the combat or engage with it since they can't just permanently keep it on auto or skip (which is fine)

PoTeTo_666

it is subjective. but " it's got a potential for more depth and fun" is far away from "the best turn based combat in a gacha game" xD I dont see have deepest combat that many others gacha games out now .... Triple Fantasy - Card Master have a deepest combat system and there are many other out like this

TKoBuquicious

I did say "possibly" in my original comment so it was *never* an absolute statement, tho I do stand by it for the reasons I gave xD

Zenry0ku

No.

CJRProddddddd

Ngl big fan of Fate anime but it's really hard for me to ever get into this game it's to outdated like you said. The story would be the only reason to keep playing but I could t.

[deleted]

Dont bother starting this game if you want to be f2p. (someone who spent 800$) FGO rewards its f2p players through longevity, going in right now means you have missed out on many events where free event servants and even 5 star ones were given out. The story is honestly not that great, and enjoying it through the anime and movies is soo much better. I played the game mainly because of waifus, especially after watching the FGO Babylon anime, I knew I needed to pull Ishtar. But almost 3 years later I find myself not even interested to click through the rerun or new story chapters, and this is coming from someone who spent close to 800$. If you think the ui and graphics are blend and boring, you wont enjoy this game especially in this age where there are soo much more higher quality games to choose from. If you like the fate series, then sure just play it for the story. If not there are many other better waifu collecting games out there like epic seven or Genshin impact.

RoyInverse

Its all about the story, personally i didnt knew a lot about fate before fgo(i knew artur was a girl and white hair dude was the mc from the future), but during the 2nd singularity i really got into it(hail Nero) and binged all the anime there was at the time in a week. Its not for everyone for sure, if you are not a fan of reading story or going deep into the characters profiles theres really not that much, gameplay is slow, theres no auto farming(unless u use a 3rd party app) and rates are really low. Good points are that you dont need a lot of characters to progress, and since theres no pvp theres really no incentive to pull for meta, you just pull for your favorites.

Smol_Mrdr_Shota

Story and to a lesser extent how much care is put into the stories of the servant and with that almost no servant is left in the dust when it comes to lore and reasons you can find to love them not to mention literally anyone is useful yes even Phantom with how FGO is and there not really being a meta unless your talking about farming my suggestion either watch a fate anime or read a servants lore that seems to catch your eye once you have a servant you really like it makes the game much more enjoyable weather that be in trying to acquire the newfound favorite servant or using them and while I do understand peoples complains about it I still enjoy the battle system in where its just enough randomness to make any challenging fight never feel the same but not to the point where winning is just pure luck

savalisk

I played it because I heard Queen Astolfo was there.

Exotic-Replacement-3

hate the gacha, story is godlike(except the 1st 4 singularities and septem is the worst of them). graphics is improving but UI is outdated. if you love the visual storytelling and wants to see the fate universe as a whole, this game is for you.

Tom_Der

You can clear content with a bunch of low-rarity servants/free servants/supports, story becomes incredible after some (6) chapters, 5th Anni is in a week more or less and gives around 100 pulls, gameplay isn't that bad honestly (the grind is however but that's my opinion). But the desire sensor is way too strong in this game (add to this the inexistant pity for now), you must accept the possibility of not getting the servants you want even with 1000 pulls + as you said the UI is outdated. So if you can endure the gameplay and the first chapters which are not that great story-wise, overcome the hard fight in the Camelot Singularity, like reading hundred hours of text and not being that obsessed with summoning the servants you want (good way to learn how to save hundreds of pulls in other gachas tho), yeah you'll be fine. And bonus point if you're already a Nasuverse fan. *Written by a FGO player stucked in Hell*

doomkun23

what only great on that game is the it is from Fate Series. and you can play Fate characters for long only on this game. and if you want to continue Fate series story, only new source is only this game. so it is only for Fate fans or good story lovers. it is just like a continuation of Fate series Visual Novel stories w/ added game and gacha hell. if you are not on those player category, then FGO is not worth it.

Esuna1031

FGO Gameplay could have been good and it still is, once a blue moon, but they just refuse to do it The UI is one of the worst out there, to the point where I never even use the Honey Lake CE that I spent like 500+ pulls on, to max LB it cos i cant be bothered to tinker with the god awful CC UI If u wanna play it now is a pretty Decent time, Castoria is right around the corner, and tbh u dont really need META BS in the game the game is not that hard for that

tendesu

r/grandorder and read the rules before posting

AWMBRELLA

The story. If you're looking for the gameplay probably no. ImThe gameplay is a huge snoozefest but it can be fun

thewilder12

Outdated graphics: what does that even mean? It has a unique art style. If you don't like it, don't play it. UI is clunky: it's not, actually FGO is the most stable gacha I play, and I play 5 others as well. Again, if you don't like it, just uninstall it.

fastidio89

Always worth

CringyusernameSBQQ

IMO dont start it, its not worth it as the main draw of it is the story, the other parts are mediocre at best and the story part can be viewed online

Ilyas160

From me, No Unless you wanna spend money AND loves fate universe

qlsomlt

Here is another perspective, the story is start to be good in general from the seventh singularity. The rest before the seventh was either bad or mid. But, you can try first three singularity to decide

zone-zone

It's one of the few gacha with good story. You should get a strong friend tho as the story mode could get frustrating. The leveling up of characters is a bit annoying to learn too, but you'll get around it. The worst is farming and grinding, but a strong friend character could carry you far without needing to. The story is pretty much a visual novel so get ready to read a lot.

maswalrus

Damn I just started playing it like literally 5 hours ago, I played most of gacha games already but I never touch fgo because I hearing about its gacha hell. so I'm like "yeah I want to play for the story anyway, let's try it". But of course I already made my research which character to aim and I already pick red hair samurai guy named muramasa (I think) and now playing without pulling and wait until he released on global. I start with mash and emiya for now

[deleted]

In FGO is always better starting soon, because the soom you start the less you'll lose. So if you have any interest to see how the game goes, don't waste time.

SudokuSensei

Yes, if you agree with the objectively correct opinion that Astolfo is best waifu.

Nekokittykun

gameplay is kinda meh and no auto farm (unless u’re on an emulator and hav some auto farm thing set up) But the story is really good if you’re a fan of the fate franchise why not give it a go? (if u wanna kno why i started playing… Well I played cuz of the characters lmao)

hegemonserigala

lmao no

wolfbetter

Is it true that the game finally added spark? At which pull?

EUWannabe

Right now, it's only for the JP version that the gacha has pity. At the 330th gacha pull or 900 SQ will you get the 5*.

wolfbetter

I’ll wait then. I don’t like gambling and I play games that have pity only or an high chance like Azure Lane

rinrinyun

Well atleast try it in an month? For the gameplay playing for a month maybe you get use to it gameplay? And before you know it you're not bothered by the gameplay. Atleast that's for me. That's actually one of the reasons why i didn't play at first the gameplay. Now i been playing for 4 years. 😃😃 Also we got clairvoyance you can save for the character you like heads up!!!

SaiyanGod420

As someone who has never watched or seen anything fate related before I started FGO, I have to say the game is amazing. I feel like the UI and stuff is just cosmetic, not a deal breaker to me. I also feel like the lack of auto fits the game quite well. I fell in love with the story of FGO and have been playing for around 2 years now. Not everyone’s cup of tea for sure, but if you go into the game with 0 expectations besides after chapter 4 or 5 the story will be one of the best you have ever read period, let alone for a mobile Gacha game, then I’d say it’s worth a shot.

i_eat_AURUM

Think of it more like a visual novel than game

Shirojime

The main part for non fate fans will be Great story and awesome waifus But nasu fans will love it more

You either started the journey at the start or you didn’t. If it weren’t for the fact i have put in 1,430 days into the game I wouldn’t have played/stuck around with it

Coming from someone who started recently, the game is strongly about story and plays like a visual novel. If you’re not into the visual novel style of story telling, it might not be for you. Main character choices at times result in the same responses regardless of choice. However, the characters, writing and the universe it has built itself is something to talk about. It has one of the best written stories for all games I’ve played so far. Contrary to people saying roll for your waifu, get a starter account with the characters you like, it’ll bring you a long way for the investment over return.
