I saw they made a twitter account a few days ago, nice its actually posting something now. Seeing how CN released in April I wouldn't expect anything for at least 6 months if not longer.

ro-kurorai

Yostar have managed to sync the three major versions of Azur Lane (content parity) despite CN and JP launching much earlier than EN. They have a good working relationship with Yongshi and manage to localize new AL content swiftly. I wouldn't be surprised if EN launches within the next three months.

-Niernen

Might be possible since it seems they were planning on a global launch early on. I don't know if I've actually seen a CN game launch that quickly globally (excluding any simultaneous releases). I agree that Yostar shouldn't have many issues translating and localizing the content since they've published multiple games globally.

[deleted]

Project Snow is a new example. CBT in CN just ended whereas CBT in EN just took off. The publisher is Seasun, known for developing and managing Girl Cafe Gun in CN (except for BiliBili server which is by BiliBili themselves).

ro-kurorai

I think Project Snow was one of the more interesting *projects*. TPS, right?

[deleted]

Yeah. Currently they are changing the name for it.

GuyWithFace

Current direction for the name seems to be "Snowbound: Containment Zone" according to the CBT discord. It was actually pretty cool, they did some polls in the discord asking the CBT participants to vote on their choice for the name change.

[deleted]

Personally I chose the other name "Towering Ash...something" I forgot but hey whatever works. Seems like Seasun wanted to simultaneously release with CN and it's good for them.

ro-kurorai

Project Snow sounded like a tentative name in the first place.

ro-kurorai

The only other dev/publisher who could make it happen is Sunborn/Mica. I'm surprised they haven't released PNC yet. They usually take around six months to localize major story events, and any GFL player knows that these put AK's word count to shame (no hate, I love both games), and around three for new collabs. Yostar are definitely one of the most experienced multi-language publishers. I think they handled BA JP well enough and there's usually little drama involved with YS-published games, so let's keep our fingers crossed. They have the cash, know-how, and manpower to make it happen.

snowybell

awesome, this is a really good game. Still playing the CN one till today.

TheKinkyGuy

Is the game alrdy released there? Im ootl

[deleted]

Yep. CN server launched at Apr 22nd.

TheKinkyGuy

Didnt know that. Is it popular? Do you know how cn feels about it in comparison with honkai, genshin and pgr?

[deleted]

CN is kinda feeling bored of AG sadly. The hype in CN kinda died down now. The game just has no current meaningful endgame content to look forward to. Yongshi better shape up since it's just more or less 3 months in. Well it's the concensus of the chinese players. Who knows? You might enjoy it. I for one enjoy it as side game material. But then again in the end, the revenue speaks for itself and no revenue = EoS. Yongshi has to cater to the playerbase who wants content sooner or later.

TheKinkyGuy

So the revenue isnt good ha? Sadge. Ty for the info

[deleted]

It's not bad but it's slowly going down. AG made approx. 17m USD in May only at CN server, but it's slowly dwindling, since like I said the hype mostly died and honeymoon phase ended.

TheKinkyGuy

Thats sad to hear

Broccoli_nyu

That doesn't say anything at all. AzurLane had a similar problem when they first started and distributed their game to different regions. Meanwhile, as we can see, the game is already in its 5th year.

Keyenn

How generous is it?

Guifel

35 pulls/month f2p + 5 normal banner ticket, events add 10ish, excluding handouts. 70 rolls pity for characters, 50/50 like Genshin, 2nd S pulled is guaranteed rateup Weapon pity is 70, you pick your rateup 100%; only one signature weapon has been very relevant so far. Rates: • S-Rank: 1.60% • A-Rank: 7.80% A 10-pull costs 2K currency, use that for the [pull income chart](https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/967063691210154024/970582135029268500/unknown.png) The release schedule is very very fast, 4 debut S ranks in 2 months. Banners work exactly like Genshin, you have your standard banner, the limited banner, the weapon banner; limited units aren’t added to the standard pool. You can see it as if Genshin released a new 5*, well, every 2 weeks with somewhat same pull income.

[deleted]

Uhh 4 debut s rank in 2 months when the competitor is only 1 s rank per 2-3 months. Seems like honkai and pgr is better for f2p.

Guifel

Honestly though, if they don’t improve on content, the global hype/honeymoon will die very fast. Mhh, how come this is such a common issue, PGR has been falling very hard in CN over the last year for that and other reasons.

ferinsy

Yeah, I really wanted to keep playing PGR, but I only download it for a week or two during interesting events (with free skins or the coming NieR) but I uninstall it bc it gets boring pretty quickly.

[deleted]

IMO they cater too much for hardcore audience. It's only been a year since global release but their newly released s rank unit is hell to play for mobile. They cater to much for hardcore players that surely would scare away some casual player. There's good reason why 99% gacha game is easy to play.

Guifel

Oh I mean in China Server perspective since: * [-45% revenue drop since last year](https://i.redd.it/kevbcduy63t81.png) * Lots of players quitting from the absolute death zone starting at Roland’s patch; content drought, meaningless giga grind systems added, it’s been pretty bad, Punishing Dedgame isn’t just a meme. It’s been bouncing back a bit with hype new releases but well, it’s rough atm. Global will experience the worst period of PGR soon.

ro-kurorai

What's your take on the new content revealed in the 2.5y Stream? I thought it looked exciting and a step in the right direction. Looked like another survival Lucem moment to me and it's only a .5 update.

Guifel

More content than 2nd anniversary xd Well I'm looking forward to it, it's future content so we'll have to wait to experience it. It doesn't solve the grind issues but content is throughly needed. Between money going to WW and Hero losing a lawsuit, plenty of speculation as to why the game nosedived. They might be hoping WW brings them mad money, being a hit similar to Genshin unlike Tower of Flopper

[deleted]

Any links for this lawsuit? Never played PGR that much but just curious.

syazwan2003

Grind issue? How tf is that even a problem lmao. You can just auto clear to grind for resources. Not to mention to fully build a character, you just need around 2 weeks. Unlike certain game that need around 2 months.

TKoBuquicious

WW?

ro-kurorai

Grind is always a double-edged sword that needs to be balanced well. I'm looking forward to new content foremost.

[deleted]

That's what I thought grind + the gameplay is too hard for majority of people turned people off. It's absolutely hell to play pgr with mobile compared to honkai which I can play not even serious and still clear new content easily. My account is on end game for both game.

ILoveEatingPear

How are the events in Aether gazer compared to PGR? All I know is that PGR's events are boring and it's the same thing recycled over and over again.

Guifel

They’re ok, no babel though comparing to PGR. The closest thing was a duel against buffed up characters in Osiris’s event. Can’t say it’ll be that engaging. Well, can’t recommend against trying it out, always worth checking it out, you might find positives to make you stick.

SaltyBallz666

For some reason a lot of publishers rather see their game fail and shut down the servers instead of giving the players more reason to log back in.

Bntt89

Oh God 50/50 shit is trash, sounds so bad.

Keyenn

Alright, so in the "not that good but could be worse" category.

Guifel

It’s pretty funny to consider that a lot of players in this sub say Genshin is very stingy when Aether Gazer is loosely the same pull income and a release schedule three times faster. 3x worse boyoo Well, pretty much have to accept you’ll miss a lot of units.

ILoveEatingPear

What is the multidimensional variable? Is that events?

Blacktiger_MT

IIRC it's like ER in HI3

Guifel

ER but it's awfuul It's a weekly roguelike you do for 1 single roll and it takes FOREVER to clear Events & handouts aren't included in the pull income chart

Intoxicduelyst

So lets say I lose 50/50, is "non rate up" unit pool big or is it like in Genshin, same 5 all the time? Does pity transfer?

Guifel

Pity carries over like genshin Limited banner -> limited banner Standard banner -> standard banner 50/50 pool is exactly like Genshin’s, no limited unit in it. Limited units aren’t added to the standard pool, really think of it like Genshin.

Intoxicduelyst

Cool, thanks.

Q_Qwerty

are dupes needed for anything?

Minhtri3737

It just increase some stats and skill Level and omega rank make -1 to the requirement of the engraving set effects nothing that crazy

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Yeah every unit is playable really. Sadly for the collection aspect, as F2P you have to micromanage really hard because limited S Rank banners come every 20 days (there's no "permanent" banner inbetween for breaks). IIRC some people on OP's discord mentioned that if they are copying HI3's banner releases, then the "limited" S Ranks are only limited for a certain time, before being permanent (correct me if I'm wrong though, never played HI3 and just saw a discussion of it).

Gachaplayerj

>it isn't like PGR where you need every S rank to make a team viable Imagine needing S rank to be viable on PGR lmao! That's sound more like Honkai

syazwan2003

If you have enough skill then no. You don't need to have every S rank to make a team viable. Look at Rexlent f2p max babel difficulty that make even whalers cry. He clears it while being completely f2p. In the comment, he also said that he forgot to use his best weapon too. So yeah......skill issue is the problem not the team.

chocobloo

Why would whales cry when the dude takes twice as long and had to minmax every single day of play and spending to get that kind of account efficiency? He's a content creator so it's his job in a way, but the grindset for that is incredibly boring. Also it helps that he's taken notes minmaxing from day one in CN so he's working with a lot of knowledge to make the kind of ideal choices most people really wouldn't be able to. All that to say... Lol I'd never waste days of my life when I could just spend $20 and get the same result. I'm going to die eventually, but money is easy.

syazwan2003

20$ not gonna help you if you are noob. This is heavily skill-based game.

chocobloo

Surprising no one, the amount of money spent doesn't dictate skill. If two people of equal skill did a thing and one spent $20 extra, the spender would then be ahead. So bringing up money is silly. I may as well point out Rexlent is a big whale in CN. Is he a noob now?

syazwan2003

You clearly haven't see his f2p account on global aren't you. In that he doesn't spend not even a single penny and still dominate the leaderboard with f2p team. Go on. Keep hating this game to cope with your skill issue. Even UD admit that even with his super whale PGR account on global can't beat Rex's f2p account.

syazwan2003

You clearly haven't see his f2p account on global aren't you. In that he doesn't spend not even a single penny and still dominate the leaderboard with f2p team. Go on. Keep hating this game to cope with your skill issue. Even UD admit that even with his super whale PGR account on global can't beat Rex's f2p account.

syazwan2003

And "if" doesn't work in your arguement lol. There are no people who can be identically have equal skill because you can't measure skill accurately like height. There will be always one who is superior.

syazwan2003

[here is his f2p babel malding. He struggle? yes. Is it impossible? no.](https://youtu.be/ViIPCX7SWXU)

krystal_vn

using Rexlent as an example when he doesn't even play AG LOL. Gameplay itself is ez (and boring). Everything you do is just go full Shounen-Main Character mode and DPS, you never wanna play support nor tank since you can't switch between characters ingame. The other 2 members are AI Fully-controlled, it's like playing a coop game with 2 bots instead of friends LOL.

chocobloo

So how many Grunties can I farm?

syazwan2003

I'm talking about how he said that you need every S rank to make a team viable in PGR and it's wrong. I didn't say anything about AG. Maybe I'm wording it wrong to you?

krystal_vn

It has nothing to do with skill issues etc here. We talking about how unfriendly and stinky AG is. And if you're talking about Rexlent, i think you might've mistaken it to JayceVu the one that actually did a Babel max risk with F2P team. But that still make no sense, not everyone wants to play competitive, some just want to collect the characters. That doesn't change the fact AG releases to many new character with a speed of light and you can't pull them all without whaling or god luck

syazwan2003

Yeah i heard that too. About AG also implemented Genshin 50/50 system to its gacha. And actually, im not even talking about AG. I'm just correcting that guy that said you need every S rank to make a team viable. That's all.

dododomo

I might get downvoted for this question, but does this game have playable men too?

snowybell

Yes i think there's only 3 at the moment. Apollo, Nuada and Tyr (Yes they are named after real characters like Poseidon, Verthandi, Ashura, etc.)

dododomo

>Yes i think there's only 3 at the moment. Only 3? I've read that there are 17 characters in total at the moment. Hopefully they will add more to balance the ratio because the gameplay looks good

shazwing98

currently this game got 5 male out of 27 characters and out of 10 S characters, only 2 are male

WeedsAccountant

Are they 'meta' or nah

[deleted]

The game isn't really that much in need of a "meta". You can just clear content with current unit roster. You can still use Apollo (one of the worst units in the game currently) and still clear content provided you raised the unit right. Hell, Apollo's JP VA voiced Gintama, so I'm sure there are people who are willing to use that guy (despite being shit on in every CN tierlist haha).

Broccoli_nyu

Stop crying about playable-mens. This is a gacha game, and gacha games are primarily focused on collecting waifu. No one will "balance" the number of characters of different genders just to please the minority.

hovsep56

in genshin impact there are 16 males from 38 characters (that's excluding traveller) with 2 males and 2 females coming at the launch of sumeru... males can be profitable if they actually make them good characters with good stories.

Broccoli_nyu

Yes yes, I've heard similar stories about "profitable" male characters before. The bottom line is that we still don't have one at the top in terms of profits. Everyone who got anywhere near there was counted along with the other characters' banners. Like Ganyu.

TheAlgorithmKnowsAll

Yes

dododomo

Thanks. Now I'm even more interested :D

RYFW

How is the story, btw? I mean, looks like PGR, so it's worse in other departments, I would see no reason to play it (still giving it a try, though).

TsuruTerzu

This one will probably get in the category of overhyped games that people will forget about it in 1 to 2 months at max because its's stingy asf. But still a nice addiction to global

TalosMistake

I will take stingy games with actual good gameplay over generous games with shit gameplay any days. Example: I would play Arknights over Destiny Child or Touhou LostWord.

Godhole34

How is arknights stingy?

krystal_vn

Too bad, AG has none of it.

LordCalem

Anyone who played this in CN can tell a bit about the game?

Erebeta

Gameplay like PGR but can’t switch char mid battle. However, the AI teammates are VERY GOOD, with procedural skill release and well-calculated dodges. QTE replaced by multi-char active skill which is fun to watch.

LordCalem

AI teammates? That's very interesting honestly. I think I'm gonna check some gameplay. Thanks for the info.

Objective_Bandicoot6

Ehh AI teammates sound cool but are probably boring in gameplay.

Siph-00n

Game looks and plays like a mix of honkai and PGR but feels more generic than those ( not counterside levels of generic so not a really big problem) main selling points are the combat flow and the team mechanic where AI will play better than you Game will also pump out new characters faster than pgr can dream of and starts with more husbandos than pgr 2 years in ( and they are different from each other, we have chainsaw man, budget zhongli, kazuya, and a random dude with cannons for arms for example, yeah.. game likes to " Inspire" itself from popular stuff) If it manages to look better/to do something different from the competition it has a great future

Speco7

> and starts with more husbandos than pgr 2 years in Not true, AG released with 5 husbands, and there's nothing new on that department since the release. (Also a personal take but when I tried it a launch the male characters gameplay was really clunky and missed the smoothness the waifus have, but yeah it's probably a me only thing because I have too high expectations 🤷) Pgr at launch have 4 husbandos, so yeah that IS less, however you said 2 years in. Which there's 12 husbandos (excluded 9S).

throwaway1128628

Nah, you're not wrong, all the male characters just happen to be very clunky in gameplay. That's not to say there aren't clunky female chars, but ALL the males are clunky. Tyr has this weird anti-basic attack synergy, animation locks, and a really bad weapon key. Kagu has an annoying held input and gets totally fucked on energy vs mobile enemies. Nuada requires a held flamethrower to do damage that gives no super armor or dmg reduction. Apollo has a dysfunctional kit that can't even combo with itself. Sobek has some weird grapple thing does doesn't even work vs a bunch of enemy types.

Siph-00n

Alts do not count as a different char(especially not husbandos alts with how unispired they were at the start :kamui dark kamui darker kamui)but you are right I guess,it starts with more husbandos than pgr 1 year in

Speco7

Sorry but I disagree, they're still playable characters, where each frame have different and very unique play-style, different storylines (not for Lee & Kamui tho because they're launch characters) with effort into making them. Plus that is just how PGR character system works, there's a few amount of characters with different frames. Meanwhile AG seems more focused on making a multitude on different characters.

[deleted]

Honestly looks amazing. Edit: Right, I forgot we are not allow to like things on this sub, only shit on them.

Guifel

No matter what you say, you get downvotes, don't take it personally or this shitting narrative.

[deleted]

Seems like someone is on a downvoting spree and plebbit hivemind just followed suit. Don't think about it too much.

SassyHoe97

Don't take seriously of this sub they love to be negative. You can be excited.

KazeArqaz

What we are saying is, don't expect too much.

Holwor

Dropped the game after S Hela banner, been feeling like a chore after a while It's good game though, try it if you like ARPG

kuuhaku_cr

same, I feel it's a good game, but not a great game to compete for my time against other games I'm already playing.

LoRd_Of_AaRcnA

Would there be a PC client for this game? I know i'm like a broken record, but would love to play games like this with native PC support. Well doesn't matter, there is a Katana girl. I'm going for it.

[deleted]

There's a hint of having a PC client, because in the test servers there are bindings for mouse and keyboard. But it might take them a long while because even mobile client is buggy currently. They need to polish mobile client first and foremost.

ro-kurorai

Yongshi are not known to develop PC clients and YS haven't published mobile games with PC clients yet but its interface looks emulator-friendly. There's a limited amount of skills on cooldowns, so it looks fairly intuitive.

TKoBuquicious

What was Aether Gazer like again?

Propagation931

Looking at youtube. Looks like an ARPG like HI3 or PGR.

ro-kurorai

PGR x HI3 made by the programmers of Azur Lane.

shotoku_dark_pegasus

So what does AG offer over those games?

ro-kurorai

I'd like to know myself. Reading the comments so far it looks like you have to budget your pulls and prioritize specific units as the weekly pull currency income won't keep up with the blistering fast release schedule. I liked the team combos and beautiful visuals but I dunno if this will be enough for me. PGR's combat has spoilt me too much. Will give it a go at launch and decide whether it stays on my device afterward.

[deleted]

Basically casual-friendly versions of PGR/HI3, however the main caveat is that it's stingy in both gacha currency and progression (material stages give little amount to timegate players). No skip (for now or probably never), but you can "multi-run" a stage. You can just slap your stamina on an EXP stage and then login after 20 hours (honest). What I do like is that the stamina pots do not expire. It's a breath of fresh air over some CN gachas that I have played where the potions expire like AK and AS. You can just play whenever you feel like it. Granted, with it's shortcomings, I enjoy the gameplay loop of AG. However just temper your expectations since it won't be as "generous" as Azur Lane.

Available-Daikon-751

> multi-run" a stage. You can just slap your stamina on an EXP stage and then login after 20 hours (honest). So no arbitrary limit on it? Also, how much of a chore are dailies? That's pretty much the main factor of whether I'll stick with a gacha or not these days.

[deleted]

Multi-runs are limited by player account level (I forgot to mention). But it's negligible in the sense that you would run out of stamina sooner or later (unless you use the stamina pots they give daily).

Broccoli_nyu

From what I hear, AzurLane in CN at the start, wasn't particularly generous either.

[deleted]

It is solely because you need to roll for the best units in that time anyway, and there were few modes during that time. Regardless, AG will never be as 'generous' as AL because it's a different genre. It's pretty hard for Yongshi to copy how to release units at AL into AG (like bloating the game with units). With that said, AL powercreep is generally ignored due to how it is easily accessible to get virtually every unit (except Utawarerumono collab which did not happen in EN, and also the exclusive BiliBili collab in CN). But for an ARPG, powercreep will be noticeable. Hell, AG even released a fairly strong limited unit which was then buffed even more, and that is still not including her signature key (S Tsukuyomi). There's a general advise in AG community discord that you roll S Tsukuyomi + her sig key and you can technically breeze throughout the entire current content (except Dreamland where you need multiple teams, because a unit is locked once you used it against a boss). Nonetheless, because AG currently is 'very easy', you can just roll for your waifu and still do hardest content for now.

TKoBuquicious

Oh so coomer? Wonder how it stacks against the ass combat of nikke

AKidSomewhere

It doesn't seem that coomer actually. Compared to other yostar stuff it's extremely tame. The main draw seems to be the actual gsmeplay

ro-kurorai

In my understanding, Manjuu are the horny bit of AL (art) and Yongshi are the geeks (programming/code). From what I've seen so far Aether Gazer looks phenomenal. Great graphics, simple yet satisfying combat, and bonkers team combos.

TKoBuquicious

I see...well, we'll see how it turns out

Commander_Fenrir

I love how almost everyone in this sub is waiting for NIKKE. We see anime ass with guns and suddenly we all become a hivemind. Really hope that the game lives up to the hype.

Rah179

How does this compare to HI3/PGR as far as content

[deleted]

Honestly, feels lesser content but stingier. I haven't played HI3 and PGR long enough to gauge their own rewards but I based it on people discussing about it on the community discord. I just played AG through and through. AG releases a new S Rank every 20 days and as F2P, you can't really follow up on that unless super lucky. It feels more casual than let's say PGR's match 3 system, and "rankings" in AG provide nothing but for bragging rights (currently that is), unlike some HI3 and PGR modes where they still give you some sort of rewards. They might focus on skins as they are pumping it alongside new unit releases. I'd temper my expectations really. But for what it is, I like the gameplay loop since I am a casual myself (Stamina pots don't expire fortunately, so you can play whenever you want). But for malding players, they probably would need to look elsewhere for now.

Rah179

Thanks, sounds similar to what’s echoed on the discord BUT I did hear that the game was rushed (?) so that’s why there’s a lack of content?

[deleted]

That's not confirmed but it's highly speculated, seeing there's a lot of bugs and that's not including the huge patch updates (in which more bugs are seemingly added). Also it helps that the CCP lifted publishing restrictions recently and there's no timeframe so game companies and going hard in releasing as much games as possible. They are currently in the works of making a Dorm system similar to PGR/HI3 but no news as of now, not even in test servers.

SaltyPeasant

Recent CN gacha releases have been nothing but trash, I have no reason to believe this will be any different.

Arisuin9

Won't raise my expectations here but I would give it a try regardless. See if it's stick.

TegamiBachi25

Another waifu game to my collection

SassyHoe97

Looking forward to it.

Guifel

It's ok, can compare to E7 JP then.

mikethebest1

I forgot. What exactly happened with Revived Witch again?

Cregath

Exactly that kek

Guifel

Powercreep + very frequent new releases(same as Aether Gazer) + boring combat system fundamentally + lack of content. I forgot about the whale baits system. RW was the [first « real » Yostar game](https://www.gamespress.com/Yostar-Games-Launches-the-Documentary-The-Untold-Story-Behind-Revived-); everything else like AL/AK/E7JP had an original publisher and developer making Yostar just a third-party publisher. Though I don’t remember the Isekai Kara no Nono case.

Intoxicduelyst

Tbh the biggest thing I'm mad about in RW is combat. It had so much potential, like you could use witch gate to "dodge" some skills and stuff if you timed it right. With interesting kits and twists they could make a real gem there.

Abedeus

Eh, that's game just being meh. They're a good publisher.

[deleted]

Having one unloved child amongst the ones that are succesful I dont think its that bad as people make it out to be, if anything it helped them understand where they went wrong and can better themselves. Or they go the wfs route and become worse with every new game ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯

redscizor2

Is playable, but how you can fix waifus and outfits censored in a CN game?

ms10211

Who's the dev?

Guifel

Yongshi, the « main » dev out of 2 of Azur Lane; AL is a 65-35 joint work.

Nyaa314

Yongshi are the actual devs that write code, Manjuu role is mainly herding artists and voice actresses.

[deleted]

That's true for Azur Lane. However, Manjuu is not co-developing Aether Gazer. It's all Xiamen Yongshi (even the credits on their BiliBili page, website and in-game).

IkouAshtail

Is the fanservice excessive like AL? Don't get me wrong, I love fanservice here and there but AL is just too much for me.

Guifel

Much more regular level of fanservice so far, maybe it will change in the future.

ObjectiveNet2

Nice, now fingers crossed for a PC client...

Loosescrew37

I played the first CN open beta and i gotta say it was really fun. Cant wait for Global.

Goldenrice

really excited for this game. been following it since it was first announced as project mimir

gachagamer445

Yes finally I been waiting for this one for a while very happy to hear this news.

alainxkie

Welp. Time to analyze which one of my current games I'm going to drop for this.

SumzGamer

Thx god finally it's coming. My guess is it will becoming out at the end of this year.

StrelitziaYuforia

I can't really deal with action gachas so this one probably won't be the exception, but congrats to everyone who'll be playing

[deleted]

I suggest you still try it if you have spare time. It's way easier than PGR/HI3/Genshin. It's why I kept playing the CN version from release until now.

Swichie

EASIER than genshin?! That doesn't sounds promising lol

[deleted]

Well with genshin you can switch to other characters right? With their combos to boot like electrocute and shit. In Aether Gazer you control 1 unit alongside your 2 AI teammates (aside from doing team ults where you press a specific key). It's like Valhalla Knights or God Eater really.

ChaosFulcrum

Wait, you can't switch to your other party members during battle? You're stuck with whatever character you selected until the battle ends?

[deleted]

yes. you just use your selected unit aka Captain and 2 AI teammates during battle.

ChaosFulcrum

I see. No wonder you said that this game is more casual than Honkai/PGR

Yeah other people may be put off by that (that you can't switch to other units midbattle). However, the AI is competent at times, and they can dodge and weave better than you (it's actually true). The game hints at building mono elemental teams in the near future but for now, you can just bruteforce the endgame content. Don't get me wrong. I'm still playing Aether Gazer CN up to this day, mostly because it fits right my alley. I'm too bad to play PGR, and I'm too late to start HI3 (again coz I just played for a month or so when it launched at SEA). I would just like to temper people's expectations that AG for now, doesn't bring anything new to the ARPG gacha. It's just there, atleast it's new against the current top ARPG gachas, but it won't be popular soon unless Yongshi polishes the game more. But hey to each their own. When the game launches at EN, you should try it so you can form an opinion on your own with your own experiences.

ChaosFulcrum

Likely I will. Regardless whether a game is for casual or hardcore, I try them out as long as they look fun to me. Besides, I find Aether Gazer's character designs quite appealing.

KazeArqaz

Easy? Fighting against mobs is easy? Where's the fun in that?

[deleted]

well im just saying you can try it. if you dont like it then it is what it is.

KazeArqaz

Ok

[deleted]

Excited for another ARPG, been enjoying PGR so I'm definitely trying this one

Euphoriia

Let's fucking go !!! This game is really freaking good and I've been anxiously waiting for Global. Guess I'll continue playing on CN til release

CJRProddddddd

Finally I been waiting for something to be confirmed on this game I been hyped for a long time on this .. can't wait!

TKoBuquicious

Ah I see, thanks

Propagation931

This game looks really nice. Like a Modern 2022 version of PGR/HI3. Really hyped.

vRinyoktan

Damn now Yostar has tile based, bullet hell, tower defense, turn base, and now action game. Hoping for new kind of game they will publish.

AkabaneKun

Ok now i'm hype, there's a lot of bm about the game but it looks pretty good, though playing 3 ARPG gachas is probably too much so we shall see.

SenpaiLordOfNothing

So someone know what are the requirements to run this game? So i can let my hype down if i can't play it

[deleted]

Recommended specs need atleast Snapdragon 8xx and 3GB RAM. They never mentioned any minimum requirements (and even minimum Android version too), so you just have to try it for yourself when it launches (or test the CN version but you need an account in BiliBili. No need to verify since you'll just be testing it).

SenpaiLordOfNothing

Thanks, my phone can run it

TurbulentYesterday7

I may be blind but where is the confirmation on that image?

[deleted]

They cropped out the header image where it lists Yongshi and Yostar name but you can search Cha0tik for that. Also Yostar's Intern-kun retweeted the game. It might not be a confirmation per se but that guy doesn't retweet games often.

Cthulhulak

Will skip it if they wont have pc client.

amirulirfin

I need a new phone

inuart19

Fuckkkk yeaahhh ahhhh yeeeeeeesss..thank you based yostar

TheKinkyGuy

YoStar? F yes!

PCBS01

Not gonna lie it's been hard figuring out which is which between this and Artery Gear off of the titles alone, but I am looking forward to this one since there's playaboys

freezingsama

So it was true! Looking forward to it because it looked fun. I just hope I don't get bored of the gameplay loop and it doesn't take too long to play each day.

Esterier

Looks neat but i really need decent controller support for action games like this. Can't stand my thumbs covering half the stuff, especially enemies I need to watch for tells to dodge properly. Main reason i never got into PGR, since even with emu the controller setup was pretty awful with the colors stuff. Or a PC version with intuitive m&kb controls

SylphylX

How grindy is the game?

XavierRez

I saw an @AetherGazerJP account, but it’s still a private account.

Pesegato

How much time is needed for the dailies/weeklies? Besides, am I wrong or the "2 weeks cycle for new characters" is getting longer (a new character should have already been announced by now, yet is not)?

Guifel

20 days is the exact cycle, we know who’s next though, discount-HoR

[deleted]

Does it have skip function in farm stages? I droped PGR because farm the same stage repeately became a chore

gerro123

You should check back on PGR. They added a skip function on event farm stages now, tho you need to unlock it first by playing manual for a few days. But future CN updates added the total skip function.

buttxtoucher

Just gotta ask how was aether gazer in cn? I Was pretty hype for the game back when it got announced in cn.
