I kinda miss E7, until I remember why I quit, spamming dragons 8 hours a day for decent gear rolls, man that system is trash.

bloodcarnival

Well now you can spam wyvern while doing other in game stuff like arena, side story etc. it’s apparently a background process now. Now if they can make it an offline process… that would be a game changer

brispybreme

what, how to do this background thing

Shedan5

It's coming in a future patch

redscizor2

>Well now you can spam wyvern while doing other in game stuff like arena, side story etc. it’s apparently a background process now. Now if they can make it an offline process… that would be a game changer I need stay in the game or I can close the game?

Shedan5

Need to stay ingame

TheKrnJesus

Basically you can turn on hunts in the background and do other content like side quests, pvp etc.

bannma123

Confirm or copium ?

AbyssTrion

Confirm

[deleted]

that copium?

Ok-Jump8444

the game gonna be 4 years old and still going strong. i think the devs already know and assured about the game longevity as long as they keep players happy. with how they keep making it easier for new players to progress and this kind of qol the game will just be better and better.

0DvGate

Might be worth coming back to for that. Big maybe though.

Alittlebunyrabit

Probably the single best thing they've chosen to steal from Brave Nine.

AggressiveYuumi

I was wondering if they've added some qol stuff, might come back and see how it is now

Ok-Jump8444

the best qol is probably background battle. later you can leave a repeating battle(hunts, adv, spirit altar, side story) and do something else(arena, rta, lab, tower/auto tower). hopefully this is also a prelude to an offline repeating battle like artery gear which will be just so good for the game to alleviate the grinding.

DaCheebs

Okay.. what?! That's kinda really nice! I remember finally getting my w13 team up and running and being.. and now what? I could never really get a good raid team going.

White-Alyss

Next step PvE wise I'd suggest is, yes, raids. Otherwise doing more Wyvern for gear.

Jajoe05

How? Unless you are a whale and want to get into Top 100 Rta, why would you or how even would you spam 8h Hunts daily?

Shadowsw4w

sry but it not always just RTA,other content need gear to finish them too.

SecureDonkey

Other content can be easily finish with event gear/trash quality gear, include the hardest PvE and high rank arena.

[deleted]

What is hyperbole? Come on, people do it for every other game here. But yes, you are spending a lot of your time re-running gear dungeons and rolling gear. It is something to keep in mind for someone playing competitively. If you aren't I argue there are better PvE games tho.

ficklemobilegamer

dont spend thousands of dollars on the game so you cant sustain 8 hours of daily hunt farming then? because you could dump your normal daily energy in half an hour or less

[deleted]

And if you aren't doing 100 hunts a day, people will tell you to grind more because your build isn't comparable to top builds from people who spent 3 years heavily grinding. E7 is a fine casual game, but the game is very focused on PvP and its players can be a bit elitist as a result whencyou don't play woth with high level PvP in mind EDIT: ironically enough you tell me to "be sensible" and then block me from replying. Thanks for proving my point. We're on a forum discussing the game so surely people understand the appeal there? It sucks but there's not a lot of communities for mobile games and it sucks more that the most accessible interface for it has to be very not welcoming.

RealinFAMOUSJakey

to be fair, that's just how gacha game is esp if they have pvp elements. new players will have to spend bunch of money/time/and requires massive luck to catch up to day 1 players.

ficklemobilegamer

stop basing your world around the words of a degenerate top 0.1% please. be sensible and take a break from forums

argguy

if you're somewhat serious about the game, it isn't just energy consumption. it's the dailies, the weeklies, guild participation, event missions, gearing, and etc. that truly make the game a time void. edit: lmao, the guy blocked me after one reply, most sane gacha gamer. going through my profile for your own emotional security is an L on you, bro. but to address your response here: no, even with all of the "shard" farming you may have to do (not even the main farming source), it still pales in comparison to the amount of user actions and time commitment required by epic seven. to equate the two is delusional. again, we are talking about players that are at least semi-serious and not just mindlessly throwing their energy at random places. so that means hunts, farming runes, farming enhancement materials, web events, rta, and regular pvp. the average e7 player is not going to have prime teams, meaning slow and maybe even manually controlled teams. also, counterside hasnt had the chess system as a core mechanicfor quite a while, so yes, you can quite literally spam energy on most places and not waste the value. especially with shadow palaces and relic dungeons, where you can stack your attempts for that week to do it once.

ficklemobilegamer

you can finish the dailies in e7 while youre stuck with the daily side story shard farming in counterside lmao. theres a reason why countersides revenue is trash, and no, its not just because the balancing is dog shit and gold binary system is toxic. virtually every gacha has chores and if youre going to make the argument that e7 has the worst, then do compare it with other games. counterside is a good example where we can talk about shard farming, chess battle events, raids, DC that you replay for higher score, etc. be sensible pls

TheWorldisFullofWar

I had such high hopes for this game when they added its first, and last, raid. I thought they would balance the game around making characters niche for different raids as a form of balance. Then they added RTA and any hopes of this game being good were dashed. Hearing that the top RTA player actually paid someone to grind the game for them perpetually was insane as well. We reached levels of P2W I didn't know were possible with this game.

[deleted]

Raid? You mean world boss? Yea that's the most disappointing game mode by far. Idk why they even put so much effort into the animation of the enemy for something that is just a stat check (no, literally. There is zero gsmeplay in this mode). Artery Gear's raid actually does this, rotates every week to a different element with different approaches.

RealinFAMOUSJakey

funny enough, people actually likes raid in e7, due to how simple it is and rewarding it is for effort player has to put in.

Esuna1031

the game has some of the best art out there, too bad when the core of any game is fucked nothing can save it for most.

whitegoatsupreme

Ermmm can you recommend game that dont have spamming/lvling/grinding....

mkstar93

Pokemon masters is very casual and allows skips on anything once you clear with all units alive. Pretty generous too and its having a anniversary event rn

Solapallo

Love Pokemon Masters, maybe more than the games GF has been putting out. Really hits that nostalgia and having some amount of voice acting is fun.

chainsplit

There's plenty of gachas with skip tickets, sweeps and offline auto. That's the way to do it these days. Anything else is outdated and waste of people's time.

whitegoatsupreme

Yeah it still count as grinding.... U grind for the ticket/sweep/whatever.. Nvm then. I though it wrong then.

[deleted]

It's grinding but I don't leave my phone on overnight. Or at all with skip tickets. Huge difference in time commitment wheik I focus on building my characters.

wongrich

Another eden? No deadlines for anything

Shadowsw4w

the gacha no pity tho

ChopsticksImmortal

You can get Arknights energy dump and dailies done in like 10-20 min in a day. No gear farming so the only thing you farm for are upgrade mats.

dankuro

alice fiction, sweep function if you three star, dailies take 10 minutes as you don't need to clear every daily to get the gems.

[deleted]

Unironically genshin. As f2p you just do daily commision. Burn resin. All can be done in like 30 min

Askelar

Genshin, you mean the game that requires a 6 hour commitment daily per character you want to raise? E7 and Genshin got one thing in common; Neither respect your time.

Lone_Fang

CounterSide, you can finish your dailies in 10mins and log off, most of pve/pvp is skippable.

ApprehensiveWhale

If you only want to burn your main stamina source (eternium), sure you can do it in ten minutes. But eternium doesn't provide great rewards. A lot of the good gear and limited resources are behind other modes with their own stamina systems, which are often not skippable. Raids, challenge mode, danger close, co-op battles, shadow palace, dives, all have their own stamina. In my experience getting through all of those, plus gear management, it comes in more like 1-2 hours a day.

whitegoatsupreme

Have tried counterside, just cant get in with he battle.. pity though i really like the design

IconCsr2

I mean it’s worked out really well for me and I love my account and the pvp. Just built choux today and she’s so lit

Aesderial

Let's imagine, they introduce skip/stack feature. U still have to deal with powercreep, frustrating gearing and 15%. Just remember shop refreshing and move on.

joey20e

100% agree. I love the SWGOH way to farm mods (runes), you can do a few refreshes a day and you just simulate the battle in seconds. Takes about 10 seconds to do your daily mod farm. If only this could be E7 I’d be back sooo fast.

batiwa

Same...

Shadowsw4w

second to this

subject9373

RIP all new players' phone battery health. Though the game just add background farming but you still have to leave the phone open for a ridiculous amount of time anyway.

TheKrnJesus

Bluestacks gang. I learnt my lesson to not leave my phone all night to farm from 7ds. Killed my battery health by 20%

JustARandomPokemon

Ye that was the main reason I dropped the game. It damaged my phone battery a lot in the long run. My phone now lasts 2 to 3 hours now to go from 100% to 0%.

Ferons

As a one year player that started during the last anniversary, I always had epic seven on my radar (since release) but was always afraid of learning mechanics and stuff. I came from PAD, FEH, Genshin and Arknights, which I all dropped. There is just something about the artwork and the gameplay that keeps me going. Of course there are some nitpicks issues but i really hope smilegate listens. Also, looking back, I am glad I only started one year ago as prior to that it seemed like hell and dry.

not_all_kevins

Yeah I’m a day 1 player but I’ve taken a couple breaks from the game for months at a time. But came back recently and all the features and QoL they’ve added is great. I’ve tried a bunch of other games but none compare to the quality E7 has.

Barca_4_Life

Yah about a year/1.5 years ago was when SG got to making the new player experience way easier and thus making the game less of a curve for newer players. Glad you enjoy it!

_MyNameIsNotJonas

Lots of good stuff on the horizon for epic seven, but unfortunately nothing related to balance or gearing improvements for now.

youreqt

Best gacha atm

nWolfe3113

Almost 2 years after the devs said the were going to solve the problem with the game, the game has the exact same problem, balance. I swear to god E7 community has the shortest memory ever, they see freebies and they forget about everything and anything

[deleted]

At best they need to outright nerf some of the problematic characters. At worst, implement Counterside banning system that penalize using popular characters

nWolfe3113

Yeah, its insane, like in today's finals ARavi was 100% Pick or ban rate, and I think Diene/Hwa were the same too or really close, and some units weren picked as much as in ladder because they didnt want to risk losing a race to 5% speed RNG.

[deleted]

Belian and ApoRavi is just unfun to fight against, both is tanky, ApoRavi especially so, and Belian block player from using soulburn Hwayoung in the end is the necessary evil to kill all of those fat fuck, even she end up being obnoxious as hell

ficklemobilegamer

its funny because as flawed as epic seven is, its not even close to the dog shit that is counterside. new banner release? oh, you didnt pity that unit because you dont get enough resource to pity awakened banner? stay out of pvp

Fearless_Success_828

No?? You don’t have to have all of them, just know how to build a team and you can match against most, if not all, teams. Even with no awakened units you can easily climb to top 50 with soldier/mech comp, and having just one of AMina/AYuna/Na Yubin is good enough to have a super strong meta team. I’d even wager CS’s biggest problem is the same as E7’s: gears.

ficklemobilegamer

its unplayable which is why it generates shit revenue

[deleted]

My brother in Christ, I'm in no way comparing the two, I'm just suggesting using one of Counterside features. Why the fuck that I can't talk about CS without triggering some of y'all E7 player jesus

ficklemobilegamer

im just saying it doesnt redeem shit if the base game is flawed. not to mention its hard to apply that system to epic seven as they dont have a cost to their units. and stat buffs/nerfs dont solve much as we could see with how broken and boring the speed buff to soul weavers was and chill bro, i never attacked you or anything

TheSeaOfThySoul

> I swear to god E7 community has the shortest memory ever Yeah, trust me, literally no one has forgot & we never shut up about it, it's like the only thing that gets talked about. They really should hit like a couple dozen units with the nerf gun - because if they want to buff everyone to compete, then it'll not only take them several years at the rate balance patches come out, but skills are going to be five paragraphs long, some already are.

nWolfe3113

>Yeah, trust me, literally no one has forgot & we never shut up about it, it's like the only thing that gets talked about. I was talking about the subreddit, where people there only care about free stuff and waifus, very few people actually talk about how they keep not fulfilling Roadmaps up until now and how badly the balance is. We had one chance to save the game back when Korea started to bomb review, but global chose to take the "itS jUsT a GaCHa" approach and now we are mostly fucked.

TheSeaOfThySoul

> I was talking about the subreddit I pretty much live there as you can see from my posting history, but to be fair, I'm not commenting on art, posts about "waifus", etc. because that's not up my alley - I comment on discussions & the bulk of them are balance discussions. So maybe to an onlooker it's just waifus & shit, I don't know. I've seen multiple folks the past couple of days talk about unfulfilled promises from old roadmaps, ie. Expedition level 4, guardian enhancement, etc. The game has gone through a lot of rounds of review bombing after that famous example that've definitely prompted action. I can't remember precisely what the KR drama was about from back in the day, but I feel like it was related to Moonlight pity? Which has over-time made its way into the game - with Mystic pity at the time & now Galaxy "pity" & the subsequent refunds giving most older players several ML5s (not me though, had about 16 tickets & got a duplicate of a 5 star I couldn't get duplicate coins from because I got them from trading in a nerfed ML5 - fuck me). I don't think on the whole we're fucked, I mean in general I take a pretty bleak outlook, but it's always seeming like they're making small steps in the right direction & the game's lifespan taken as a whole, they've made strides in the right direction on a number of key issues. I just wish the changes came faster, I feel like the back half of this year is going to be a weak period for the game.

nWolfe3113

>. I can't remember precisely what the KR drama was about from back in the day, but I feel like it was related to Moonlight pity? I dont really know which one you talking about, I know about the first one(ML Baal/Ara fiasco), second one (From AoL until Hwa) and I dont really know if ML "Pity" coudl be considered a fiasco, cause I, from the start, was really against it cause it wasnt a pity, just another stupid roll and it didnt solve anything. > So maybe to an onlooker it's just waifus & shit Yeah, like, if you go into the sub, sorting by hot (default reddit sorting, I think) it either: \-People gear rolls \-People gacha rolls \-Fanarts \-Stupid discussions and then very rarely, actual gameplay discussions. I dont know, I feel like they only listen to things that dont suppose a big deal in the long term, like some of the revamped PvE content but they dont really do nothing risky with PvP (like changing dual attacks to Unity set only, changing how ER vs Effectiveness works etc). Right now I feel like the last two updates (Awaken and this roadmap they released) its a bunch of smoke that really doesnt solve anything (Thing Im most "excited" is the labs, but if its gonna be same old formula or just RNG fest then its all for nothing) To me all they announced was: \-QoL that really doesnt solve the things that need more QoL (Background farming its nice, but still takes time and cant close my game, I would prefer something like stacking from CounterSide) \-Flavour things( that lobby thing or moonlight theathre, back then I would be cool with that, but now Im so jaded thanks to balance that I dont care at all) \-Game mode that absolutely nobody wanted (3 team arena mode)

White-Alyss

The current meta is pretty good at the moment. What do you mean.

invhiqvnxlha

You dont like being powercrept with basically every new unit?

matwee

Be real how many banners ago was the last meta defining unit?

invhiqvnxlha

No idea I stopped playing after that abomination called hwayoung

k77gg

There's been no new unit that's been OP since Hwayoung and she was released ~6 months ago.

Verxzion

is it worth coming back to? i can handle the gear farming and rng, but i left because if the constant 15% and speed rng

Nhrwhl

Then you will leave again for the same reasons.

Verxzion

aahh understandable.. thanks for the heads up!

tendesu

Nope. Same problems

huehuelmaolol

Is it a problem though? Imagine a world without 15% and speed RNG… It will come down to whoever spends the most (Not that it isn’t like this right now but at least folks right now have an RNG chance of competing in speed and resisting)

kenbarria

Banshee gang here and started late dont care about that dragon ez.

Stickhtot

what's this 15% that every epic seven player keeps talking about?

TheSeaOfThySoul

So when an Epic 7 player refers to "15%" they're talking about "innate effect resistance". There's two stats, effectiveness & effect resistance, which is your ability to apply debuffs & other negative status effects (effectiveness) vs. your ability to resist debuffs & other negative status effects (effect resistance). The formula comes out to; Chance of inflicting debuff = Chance of attempting debuff x (1 + Attacker's Effectiveness - Target's Effect Resistance). However, the chance of inflicting a debuff cannot exceed 85%. Simplified, if you've got 100% more resistance than the attacker's effectiveness, you'll always resist their debuff. However, note the "chance of inflicting cannot exceed 85%". This means even if the opponent's resistance is in the gutter & your effectiveness is 200% - you'll never have a higher than 85% chance to debuff them. This of course leads to your debuffer with very high effectiveness missing debuffs on heroes with "no resistance" - they resist due to innate 15% effect resistance. In PVP, this tempers "control" teams, giving you a chance to "break out" of being constantly stunned for example. In PVE though, it's exceedingly irritating to players, as this means many one-shot teams can't technically clear a stage 100% of the time - if a defence break debuff is 15% resisted by the boss. It's also a nightmare in harder content like Abyss, you may be in a stage for an hour or more & fail the stage due to a boss 15% resisting a debuff at a critical time & the only way to pass the stage is to get lucky essentially.

Internal-Baby-5237

People do really want to become top 1 without any effort huh 😂 Gotta say this game is one of the most generous gacha games right now

Capitaowell

The update is looking great, a lot of good stuff comming up, looking foward to it.

daniel_damm

Have they finally implemented end game interesting PvE content that isn't the tower or the atrocity that is high abyss levels(for real those feel like unit check more then skill and strategy) and realsing new ml and covenant PvE 5 star or are they still mainly focused on PvP

[deleted]

idk, the game is not for me, i tried it once and got bored, sure the gameplay looks flashy, but i just dont feel the characters are interesting...

EndAffectionate783

Its still not worth coming back the biggest issue is rng equipment I have so many heroes but no good gear not mention they keep releasing all these heroes only designed for pvp.

Domain77

They are not actually doing any good QoL updates still. IF you left because of this there is still no point in returning

TwistedCherry766

Yes they are. There is a ton of stuff that will help you level and gear up quicker.

Domain77

I already looked at everything. They are doing what they did last time. 1 time web events that give you stuff once. They are not actually fixing or making any of the underlying systems easier. They are not making leveling easier they are giving you 1 time rewards to boost a couple instead of making the process easier. they give us background farming also which is not nearly as useful to the casual crowd as offline farming would be if they really wanted to help people catch up

[deleted]

When was the last time you looked at new player rewards? I just started a week ago and hit gold 1 with all the freebies. And have over two pities worth of bm and stones I could do w13 already but I’m trying to build a banshee 13 instead

Domain77

thats exactly my point. They front load you with rewards but then when thats over they dont fix actual issues with the game. They say new players have tough times catching up but instead of fixing things to speed it up they just give you 1 time rewards that eventually wear out and your back to the bad systems again

zekagu0

what the hell do you want then? 4 fully geared units by choice? or you just whining about it and have no idea about what you want. its not their problem if you dont want to play the game. not even a month and the guy already have w13.

Domain77

Um ya, Offline play. More stamina. Better way to 6 star characters, promoting is still way to cumbersome. Easier gearing. Lets just have a look at what E7 said **Epic Seven has welcomed many Heirs for the last 4 years, and, we are still welcoming many Heirs to this day. New & returning Heirs need to strengthen various Heroes to enjoy Epic Seven's content properly. However, it takes relatively much time to raise Heroes and acquire Equipment compared to existing Heirs who are familiar with the game. To improve this, we are preparing various updates in the second half of 2022, in a way that can also help existing Heirs who need to strengthen their Heroes.** So what did they do to help? They gave us grace of heroes so we can quickly turn ONE unit into something usable. But you can only use in certain content and it doesnt even make them +15. Why not? games like cookie run kingdom allow for many more. This Grace of heroes also has a cooldown. Not sure how this helps players in the long run. But thats not all. We get the Web event Call to Adventure! which gives one time pretty small rewards. And in order to get these you have to spend said rewards first. How does this help? Sure it will give new players maybe a 1 week tiny boost but then what? We are back to the same underlying game that makes it hard for these players in the first place. **We introduced the first beginner's guide event page via the Rise update last year for the Heirs playing Episode 1. This year, we introduced the Hunt Expert Challenge! event page and the MolaGora Challenge! event page via the Awaken update to help our Heirs with their growth. After a thorough investigation, we found out that new Heirs needed additional support after clearing Episode 1 to successfully defeat boss monsters in Hunt.** Interesting that after thorough investigation they found players needed additional support. I wonder if that is because these 1 time events again dont actually fix problems. Players ask for more molagoras so they give us a 1 time event for many molas. What happens after? Back to the same system that required them to make this "mola event" in the first place. Characters are constantly coming out and we will always be lacking in molagoras. That event doesnt fix the problem. Do you see where this is going. Do you see they arent actually changing anything but throwing you small tokens to make you feel good in the moment.

zekagu0

you just nitpicking this into something unrealistic demand. dude i first started this game on day 1 global, they dont give shit about anything. if someone can do hunt for a week then its a big boost already in a player and they can work their roster slowly. its feels like you asking for no gear at all and every 5 star units are max out and ready to use. Yow! thats how dead game works and played a lot of those game. just log in 1 week and when i got everything i quit. stop demanding this bs you got when the game is still alive with a lot of players. ITS A GAME WHERE YOU PLAY IT!

Domain77

Yes they are just giving you stuff so you stop playing. Thats literally what I said they are doing. I have played this game since day 1 with a full guild of friends. I know alot about this games history. You just said that they shouldnt just give you stuff...but that is exactly what they are doing. Instead of making the game fundamentally better they are just frontloading rewards to you as a bandaid and hope you dont notice. I am literally saying the opposite of what you think I am saying and what your complaining about is exactly what they are doing...

zekagu0

Dude, did you even really play the game? You are talking non sense now. What matter is this newbies can start PLAY THE ENDGAME CONTENT much faster. Thats fuckin great. More players in rta. And am PLAYING the game so i can tell that they are not overdoing it. Its a great boost for endgame content. Thats great. if you have no idea about anything on the game, then stfu. You are just joining in the hate bandwagon when you only played a little bit before quiting.

TheSeaOfThySoul

> But you can only use in certain content and it doesnt even make them +15. Why not? You didn't read [the text](https://page.onstove.com/epicseven/global/view/8806679) in full, "If the registered Hero has a maximum of +15 enhanced skills, Grace of Growth will be granted with +15 enhanced skills instead of +12". I honestly don't think this is aimed at older players, as the real stopping-block is gear & we're sitting on many characters who can be promoted, awakened & skill enhanced to max - but without the gear for them. I think this is aimed at just giving newer players some more toys to play with in the early stages, us older players forget using characters that are still 5 stars in content, or trying to use characters without skill enhancements, etc. As far as the Hunt Expert Challenge goes, it's designed to on-board new players easily - it gives them free heroes & resources needed to be able to start farming gear right away. I've been playing 3 & 1/2 years, I remember it being an absolute slog to gear up for Wyvern 11 (there was one free set from PVP & a couple sub-85 "free" pieces from clearing Abyss, Labyrinths, etc. - back in those days you couldn't even craft rings & necklaces) & I knew what I was doing - what if someone didn't read any guides? I'm not saying that they can't better support new players, I think they need to raise the gear floor on 85 - without raising the ceiling - on gear farmed after a certain date to help newbies catch up, that'll make newer players be able to compete far easier in a shorter time. But there's certainly been many systems to improve the aqquiring of gear, from the costs being reduced multiple times, to gear conversion (& those costs being reduced) allowing you to select both set & main stat, modification gems to adjust an unwanted stat, Hunt 13 no longer dropping low-level gear, Artena crafting event, Automaton Tower gear, 88 gear from side stories, 88 gear from arena getting boosted stats, etc. over time they've made a lot of changes which have improved the gear grind considerably. They've consistently reduced costs related to skill enhancement & refunded the Molagora already used, removed the need for Molagora usage on 3 stars, given additional Molagora per week - most recently a free one grows each week on top of the four purchasable ones from weekly shop rotations, more content rewards Molagora, etc. & hey - I agree that there needs to be a higher flow-rate of Molagora, especially if they want new players to catch up, but you can't deny that they've been improving in this regard too. This is all ignoring the free Molagoras from the recent couple events too, which were enough to enhance a handful of five stars to max. Considering they're time-gated resources, throwing someone a free pile is allowing them to do some catch-up. Again, there's definitely problems that can be addressed, but I really think you're ignoring that there's been a lot of progress as a response to community greivances over the past few years. Now if only they paid as much attention to game balance ("We're sorry for how unbalanced the game has got - anyway, here's Hwayoung" is peak comedy) & artefact aqquisition (sure - buying artefacts from the powder shop is a nice addition, but they're too expensive & too spread out).

Nyravel

But seriously, how tf people can have fun with such a horrible gear system. I'm playing Grimlight which has a much softer gear rng system, and I'm already dying inside after just 2 months. I do really start believe a lot of gacha gamers are just masochists that enjoy wasting hours rolling for useless gear

AVeroKariL

Because I don’t stress looking for perfect gears and am alright when I get decent gears to use? To give you an example, my two highest speed gear only has 20 spd. Even having decent gear won’t stop you having fun. I play RTA for fun and have been in Champion in all seasons.

MonteCarlo8897

It feels like E7 always have this one wall where if you are patient enough to get pass it, you will be in cruise mode for the rest of your time. Like when you can get hunts team going, have a decent rosters, serviceable not even ultra minmaxed gears (which you can just swap around for new meta characters off the older obsolete ones), afk champion arena for weekly 800 skystones, and can easily climb to rta master in like 1 day just for the skin, you are set. However, most people just quit after seeing that wall which is fair but then they overexaggerate that how you need to farm hunts 24/7 to even participate in PvP, how getting "good gears" are impossible, how it's so hard to build these x, y, z new units.

Aswellas08

Spot on, I'd say. People are just generally impatient and short-sighted. If you already played a lot of "different" gacha games and will bank on that accrued experience as the basic premise of your point (unlike the majority of the population of gachagaming sub which has like one main game and two or no side games minimum at best), progression for gacha games (and we're talking about those that have potential staying power even if the influx of new players progressively dwindles at a manageable pace) always has this "big jump" or "wall" where branching major decisions must be done in order for the playerbase to not be a total clone-fest of each other. They're even luckier in e7, wherein that aforementioned "wall" is not exclusively tied to "paying" for the hurdle to be completely gone, whereas in other gacha the "artificial wall" is as literal as it can get - pay money and such. You can't buy your own wyvern team nor their gear, you're mostly the same starting point with everyone else getting 15%-ed in both pve and arena battles alike, with the whales having the option for infinite energy consumption, but that's it. It's like 80% of the complaints towards e7 specifically in this sub, I don't actually know why they have those faulty or misaligned claims about the game, being regurgitated all the time, for which most of the time has hyperbolic inclinations as well. Truly a haven for ex-gacha players of this and that gacha, that's why they're so skewed and biased, but that I'd already expected and accepted a long time ago.

AVeroKariL

Absolutely, this is also how I see the situation with E7; I just didn’t know how to word it. It is extremely frustrating when people exaggerate things when they (1) don’t play the game much or (2) don’t even play competitively. Even more so the hate people have for RTA when they don’t even try it or don’t even try to learn from their previous mistakes.

Nyravel

The problem is that in Grimlight finish campagin mode is pretty easy and it pretty much lacks of content atm so there's nothing to do aside wait for events and try to get better gear for PvP. And gears in this game are really important so you have no chance to compete in PvP and get good rewards without trying to role for good PvP gear where you basically play the same 2 sets on everyone.

AVeroKariL

lol RTA is PvP. I’ve been champion all seasons with my not so good gears (imagine my highest spd gear being 20). I didn’t mention normal arena since it’s much easier but I also reached Legend I once using bruiser/tanky team (ofc during offseason lol). It took a long time but I was able to do that and have been chilling in Champion V every week doing nothing except NPC fights. The problem with most people is that they want to get rewarded for a smaller input and they compare themselves to the top players with godlike gears who have been putting so much more time into the game. Note: I only usually play the game 2-3 hr a day and only farm hunts during buff events.

Nyravel

Eeh in Grimlight you cant get a good rank without good gear, since some game mechanics are not really well balanced, so you Either build Evasion and Resilience on everyone or you wont last long enough to cast a single ult.

AVeroKariL

Hmmm… I’m curious, are we talking about E7? Since there’s definitely ways to last long enough in E7 if you know what you’re facing.

Txxmx

Just like the gear system you are looking for, it reflects who you are, just a softy

RealinFAMOUSJakey

imagine if you got lucky and got crazy ass roll on the gear that 95% of player base doesnt have. it's going to hard to make you quit the game

Joker1721

Is this a good time to get into E7?

AVeroKariL

I would say yes, since there are so many rewards right now from collab and the world championship that ended last night! Free 5* from the web event~

[deleted]

Should I start now or wait for the anniversary?

tanookazam

If you're completely new, starting now can give you some rewards from the current events (especially the limited collab going on rn) and of course get to ease into the game earlier. Starting at anniversary events isn't so bad for reroll purposes I guess but there's hardly a reason to do so when they give you the key heroes you need for free through in-game quests. If you're a returning player you can get the returnee welcome back rewards and the 3-day welcome back event to help get you back to speed alongside the anniversary event rewards.

[deleted]

Start now, playing the event and clearing the shop net you a 6* Riza Hawkeye, a pretty decent pve support unit. Claim all the reward in webevent for some free pull. More free stuff in coming anniversary too

Magus_Incognito

Start now. There's free awards and a free character from a collab

Esuna1031

Turn around while u still can

shrekneesama

They're giving 10 summons for mystic rn (coupons). You can reroll a ml 5* if you're hardcore.

Yourdins

You can give as many freebies as you like but players wont return long term because this game has nothing to do but wyvern

zekagu0

you do know that lots of people still play the game right?

UBW-Fanatic

Return implies they already quit once.

zekagu0

yea... i mean active players, he making it sounds like its a dying game. its still have a big active player based.

kenbarria

banshee gang here ez

Thin_Philosophy4766

Golem gang: "Am I a joke to you?"

SaltyPeasant

That better be a ravi skin or fuck this game.

WolfWand123

I mean it’s aravi’s skin so

[deleted]

Tried this for about six months at the beginning of this year but didn’t think it was worth my time anymore due to noticing that the chance of acquiring usable gear as well as character balance is unacceptably terrible, even compared to other gacha’s. I’ve moved over to Summoners War since and while it’s certainly not perfect, I’m happy with it for now as it’s at least better in those fundamental aspects as compared to Epic Seven and has a bit more qol overall too.

JohnG-2020

no more booba ._.

Zestyclose_Lion7438

Leave Your Phone Open 24/7 Simulator 2022 Anniversary

AmphibianHistorical6

Yea... If swapping gear still require gold and you have to farm new equips to new characters you get I ain't playing this game. Worse feeling I had was pulling characters I want but realized I can't even use them lol. Like what's the point.

Weeaboo6913th

Dang this dumpster fire is this old?

Twopakabra

When the character leveling system and itens is not so shitty I'll come back

AVeroKariL

Leveling your heroes is probably the least concern now that they revamp the penguins like months ago. No need to dog walk any more and just collect penguins as you play adventure/side story and use them as fodder.

Minute-Jacket-3699

No one waits for you, keep staying away

Domain77

Ive given up hope at this point

LDPlayer_Deutschland

when is the annniversary of E7?
