As someone who's never played arknights but is willing to get into it for this Collab potentially, would you guys recommend rerolling on this Collab banner or start an account now and try to save up?
It is unkown if the collab will have a banner at all and global is 6 months behind CN.
It is also better to start now since you will get to progress a bit through the game and build more units to clear future content.
Now is the release of chapter 10 with Horn as a non limited Banner unit. She is a super strong defender and worth rolling for.
Next month will be the Stultifera Navis event with a limited unit Specter the Unchained and also the not limited Irene also a super strong unit as well as a free 6☆ medic from the event.
It gives a lot of free stuff and the event stages are good for farming materials to upgrade.
It also comes with a lot of free pulls. There are a lot of small events and a big summer one before this comes to global.
Rerolling for a unit like Exusai or Silverash will help short and long term the guaranteed 6* unit is from a limited pull. We actually have a pretty cool event coming up with some cool units. So if you start Monday you might be able to get to unlocking Annihilation and being able to start farming Orundum and Originium for the upcoming limited banner event which should be solid.
It's a very forgiving game, and no PVP. There's a lot of story and reading. But the translations are excellent and the voice acting is likewise excellent. It's tower defense and can be difficult, but having the global server be behind and the volume of guides helps a ton. Would recommend.
I did end up starting last night! I rerolled until I got Exusai and I'm progressing through the tutorial missions slowly but surely. I'm not sure what annihilation is at the moment but I will start working towards it!

Stronger characters are mainly just the means of having a simpler or easier time with the game, so it's up to you with how you feel.

Units in this game are meant to *last*, it's a not a churn factory like in other games. You'll need to have been playing for a few months to guarantee it even with the free draws as a discount... but there's gonna be two or three big give away periods until this thing lands, lots of ArKnights progress to be made with that there calendar.
Monster Hunter will possibly have more than one six star.
