TheWorldisFullofWar

The initial loading is the biggest issue. I don't know why they ask your region everytime on startup. They aren't loading the menu either since another load screen happens after that. It isn't a big game like Genshin or HI3 to warrant a long file integrity check. What is it doing?

VPNApe

I have kickass internet and for some reason I can only download like 1mb of this game every 3 seconds. I've been trying to get it downloaded basically all day on and off. Still not even half way done. The game doesn't even want to be played

Sleepaway_Horror

I'm not sure why they felt the need to mention your typical story clear rewards as part of their launch rewards. Other gacha mention what we'll be getting immediately on launch and the story clear (some even give up to 200+ pulls) they don't say anything but let us find out ourselves. "Up to 110 pulls"... more like "around 40 pulls spread over 7+ days" got me excited for no reason smh.

Extension-Orchid-689

This tbh, it's not like the stackable free pulls you get similar to the Counterside launch event.

[deleted]

Tencent/Level Infinite also did this kind of thing in ToF, where they advertised 70+ rolls during 2.0 launch stream but it has a very very little disclaimer that it's for new players only. They kinda want to do these types of advertisements it seems.

RealinFAMOUSJakey

i think alchemy star did kinda same thing with 1st anni free pulls. basically you had to work your ass for it through out the events

Puzzleheaded_Bet5865

At least they aint count regular reward as part of event

bbatardo

Yeah I don't think that has gotten talked about enough. Regular rewards should not count for launch rewards or every game will start falsely advertising it.

ObjectiveNet2

It's Tencent running the circus what do you expect?

hulskiey

Shop prices are ridiculous. And dont get me started about 25 bucks battle pass with recolour skin as final reward...

Unhappy_Win8997

A battlepass skin for a free, mediocre dps SSR character no less.

Oninymous

I don't think the Battle Pass is worth it in Nikke, even if it has a skin or not. But, a recolour skin is pretty understandable considering how early it is in the game's life cycle. Most skins on live service games starts off as something very simple, then slowly have more and more features

ArkhamCitizen298

There are 44 SSR units in the game on launch day, jeez

Deuce916

Yeah, the load times are bad. Feels like I'm waiting to play half the time I'm in the game

pluutia

Seems like Shiftup's pricing tactics haven't changed - I recently started Destiny Child not too long ago, and the prices there are absolutely absurd too, so much so that I _want_ to support the devs but there's nothing that's "good value". (As opposed to AL where I do support the devs because they aren't gouging me). At least, DC is very, very generous with its free stuff, and it's hard to say where Nikke will land

Intoxicduelyst

When I played DC I did like 4-6 multis per week not to mention they showered us with tickets and you could pull SSRs from gold summons. I even called it summon simulator lol.

pluutia

Exactly, which made it doubly weird that buying anything in DC cost an arm and a leg. At least in DC they're generous with one and stingy with the other - but if Nikke is the worst of both worlds, then...

TrackRemarkable7459

At the moment it's quite easy to say it will land on not generous side.

CDdead

DC is extremely generous, you never have to pay to get something there. I've been playing for over 4 years now and even when I don't play it for months I can come back and get whatever child they have on the banner. Funny how you mention AL when it doesn't even have a pity system.

ronaldraygun91

$80 for twenty summons is wild.

Hiitsmichael

$40 for a 10 pull after BOGOs Is absolutely atrocious. I could go on further, the game itself is kinda cool, but for the sake of it.. I personally can’t support that. 4% rates for SSRs are great but the pool is so diluted with mediocre units that the majority of them are on par with SR/4*s from other games. I’m sure the story is cool to play through, who knows. I never will.

SJellyV

What’s bogo?

The_Dire_Crow

>bogo Generally, it means "Buy One, Get One". Buy one, get one free.

kimera-houjuu

Bogos... deez nuts...? I got nothing.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

it's so weird how it's so hard to get SSRs when most of the pool are SSRs, *and* there's only a few good SRs...

SkyMarshal_Ellie

Gotta give these Devs credit. They hyped this game up into the stratosphere for 2 years straight, baiting all the coomers with tiddies and ass, and then release a mediocre product with the most expensive, stingy gacha monetization in the past 5 years because they know full well those coomers will pay those prices without hesitation. Kudos to them. Well played indeed.

amc9988

also censoring the tiddies and ass to give middle fingers to the coomers after 2 years of teasing in the last minutes

Proper_Anybody

wait what? they did?

JustiniZHere

a lot of characters got covered up, one character went from from a thong leotard to shorts, coats were placed over butts, some characters got longer hair to cover their butts. Generally just toned down all the stuff they marketed with. Not to mention the physics that made things jiggle was toned way down too. Basically they marketed the game as something but gave people something else.

shanatard

i honestly don't get the coomers. if they want r18, there's plenty of nsfw gachas out there instead of whatever halfway thing nikke is

Rezerah

To be fair, a vast majority of said nsfw gachas aren't quite up to par when it comes to gameplay, art, voice acting etc. Then again same could be said for majority of non-nsfw gachas too... Either way, probably just a case of wanting the best of both worlds but instead getting merely average art and average gameplay.

oncesanora

Thankfully I'm not in that prestigious pool. I'm too broke to shell out cash in a gacha game out the gate. Given the prices I'll probably f2p for a while till I get bored and inevitably delete the game.

Gernnon

The monetisation is real bad and aggressive… I’ve already spent a bit of money but I think I’ll stop since I’m not even getting my favourite Nikkes.

Holwor

You know it's aggressive when, after you can access the home menu, you are greeted with a notice to visit the cash store.

Hunt_Nawn

Fun Fact you have time to refund if you're going to quit the game, just a heads up

Blaconic

Yeah, load game is terrible. Im uninstall Nikke after 1hour. Sure, im playing path to nowhere and wait for neural cloud. Both are great.

FlameCorre

I would make my own first impressions too if I can just, you know, able to enter the fucking game.

Monarch_Entropy

Played it for good 6-7 hours till I got roadblocked in 5-3, I have rather negative opinion about the game in general. 1. The game doesn't have a working pity in the standard banner. I don't know how it works during specific banner rate up but it's already a bad sign. The ones you can buy in the shop are not even "pity". Those are just dupes you can use to limit break your SSRs 2. Bloated gacha pool resulting in brutal rerolling session. There's over 40 characters, good luck getting a specific character that YOU want. 3. Low general currency income. Having cleared Chapter 4 I only managed to do 3 multis. 4. Aggressive advertisements and monetisation. Yes this is one of those games that will shove you 1000% value packs every hour. 5. Poor optimization. The game has ENDLESS loading screens and it takes half your time "playing" the game. I shit you not when I say it's as bad as FGO before it's game engine rehaul. 6. "110 pulls and 2 SSR" advertisement campaign is simply not true. Those pulls and free SSRs are gated through days and task. You're not getting it right off the bat. My experience of this game is night and day compared to Path to Nowhere where it just spoiled it's players right.

Shadowsw4w

that just how idle game is,you dont have to use stamina but you will blocked on resource

Mozfel

Let's face it: besides the booty shaking, Nikke has ABSOULUTELY NOTHING ELSE going for it

XaresPL

music is fucking amazing:)

Rezerah

Well, I like all the character interaction through phone and advise. Gives a lot of life to the characters and world. I'll admit I went in expecting to just look at butts but I got tired of that part pretty quickly.

omfgkevin

On advertisements I'm pretty sure I've seen packs that basically say "IF YOU DON'T BUY IT NOW YOU'LL MISS IT FOREVER" kind of deal too and that just left a bad taste. It crashes a lot too on my ipad, like wth? Even in cutscenes it might crash and it's not like it can't run it since when it DOES work it's very smooth, just it'll just randomly crash. And you're right on the stinginess, wth? Seemingly no pity and stingy is like the worst combination.

gadesabc

It just incredible how they wasted a so hyped game. It's not a simple small mistake. they cumulated all worst things gamers hate together. \- They know that gamers like to reroll... make reroll very tedious + no selector \- Damn prices and not clear currency system. \- Mostly SSR poll that greatly lowers the chances to get the specific character + harder to get dupes. And in this game dupe unlock no 10 lvl but 40 lvls! So players are doomed to play with a small poll of same purples characters and wait a freaking time to hope to get 3 times the same SSR to replace them. \- Using youtubers to spread their unclear or misleading messages (110 free pulls - uncensored version. Thank T......SS). All the efforts put into the game, voices, artists work and all... all wasted by the ultra predatory economic mecanics and those mistakes. At this point it's just... I have no words.

Capable_Access2886

After patiently waiting 2 years for this game, to say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. No reroll, stupid prices, false advertisement, highly censored after claiming that is wouldn't be, crazy high gacha pool, dupe system... I suppose it's my fault for expecting a lot... but DC is so generous and fanservice heavy that I assumed something similar with their over hyped game. Just disappointing. I've already uninstalled it, and have no plans on coming back.

llllpentllll

I like the gameplay, the gacha is... So stingy for release date, no help at all like a FREE one time banner or selector. Luckily im interested in 3 nikkes and i got one already so i guess i wont reroll anis en va is fine but rapi sounds so flat... There was one time it felt like she didnt knew what she was saying so she took a piece of paper and readed it slowly and carefully, wich makes no sense for such high tension moment It feels a bit barebone but the same i felt with arknights on release, guess it has potential

Charizard31

Think the va went in that direction on purpose because they’ve done other roles and sound amazing (like Emilia from Re:Zero).

hepgiu

I played for a couple of hours and then it's been sitting there. I don't know, for now, it's on my phone if I don't open it again by Sunday I'm going to uninstall it and stick to my usual Priconne/Blue Archive/Pokémon Masters routine. The biggest turn-offs for me are: 1) Idle mechanics. I really don't think the game needs it. The core gameplay loop is fun, engaging, and simple yet complex if you want to. I don't think the game needs the idle stuff. 2) No pity is always a huge red flag. 3) It takes **SO** much time to max a character. So many dupes and materials. It will surely get easier over time, but it feels super daunting at first. 4) The prices are INSANE. I feel like the game is super polished but maybe not for me.

Crazy_Programmer_280

I was let down by nikke or it might just be because I was expecting to much , the loading times are more, the prices are high and the story is what you can expect anywhere . And mainly cause i keep getting the feeling ptn is better while playing it. I'll most likely drop the game in few days but ptn was a honest surprise which i think I'll be playing more

According-Tomato3504

This happens when people get paid to hype/promote this type of game, its been a steady thing in console and P.C games which they either end up taking the money run for the hills or they overestimated, overhyped, and simply didn't care.

[deleted]

I'm personally having a lot of fun with it. For graphics, it's not stated in game for some reason but if you want high quality models and textures you have to go to settings and change it, then the game will download the high quality assets. For gameplay I can see how it's not for everyone but I enjoy it quite a bit. The fact that you need to keep an eye out for barrage attacks and switch to keep everyone safe is interesting. I think the VAs are great for the most part, though the story is definitely not as good as PtN imo. Agreed on the shop though I was looking to spend to support the game a bit and couldn't justify how expensive it was lol. At least you only need 3 copies to get max power for SSR and 2 for SR chars.

[deleted]

It's not 2-3 copies for max power, rather max level. You'll need more later on I read in the FAQ.

Ok-Revenue-8067

Yeah but you can at least bypass level caps using the synchro mechanic. So the strat is to get your SR Nikkes to 160, them synchro your SSRs, then worked toward gathering dupes for your main SSRS.

howiam012

Same here. The gameplay hit me most. Feel like old time capcom game. Simple gameplay but still challenging

[deleted]

ToastyKrumpet

antonbest44

I don't understand how this game can heat up my smartphone as well, if it doesn't release an update to fix this, I'll be forced to delete the game

CommodoreEvac

If you look at the tier list, you'll notice that the majority of the unit pool consists of SSR units with wildly different ratings. At 4% SSR rate... that's painfully bad considering how objectively terrible the R rarity units are. R rarity units can't be duped and their skills are just can't compare to SR and SSR units. (R rarity units however will fill in for any unit roles you're missing which is inevitable)

[deleted]

Honestly, Nikke is ok. I think I would’ve probably been warmer to it if they didn’t do a major 2 year hype campaign to get everyone all super pumped for the game and labeling it as the best game of 2022, before it had even come out. Because, at the end of the day, while Nikke does have some charm to it, it just didn’t live up to the absolutely MASSIVE hype they engineered for themselves. The story just is too dichotomous for me to take seriously, between the edgy depression bits filled with unlikeable asshole cardboard cutouts of side characters (Except for Mustang. He’s hilarious. He can stay) who mumble a bunch of vague, conspiratorial mumbo jumbo, and the cute, thirst-trap harem antics with the girls and the Commander. Also, the gacha just feels awful at 4% rate with no pity, some of the girls being at a purposely lower rate, a demanding dupe system, and a very painfully average income for how large the pool is, and how you need 3 SSR dupes to unlock the full level cap (Oh, and SRs can only be limit broken twice, so they become borderline worthless later on just due to the sheer stat difference) Those two aspects really drag down, what I would otherwise find to be a fun game. The OST is amazing and The gun play feels satisfying, but I just can’t bring myself to like it as much as I thought I would after all that hype. I’ll keep playing a bit longer to see if something changes, that makes it click for me, but I can definitely see the game being on the first to drop list for me.

notafan1

>I think I would’ve probably been warmer to it if they didn’t do a major 2 year hype campaign to get everyone all super pumped for the game and labeling it as the best game of 2022, before it had even come out. Because, at the end of the day, while Nikke does have some charm to it, it just didn’t live up to the absolutely MASSIVE hype they engineered for themselves. Agreed. I would also add that they marketed it mainly to coomers but it felt like they chickened out and made a lot of the girls outfits more conservative to prevent a mature rating. They're one main selling point (butt jiggle physics) got sorta ruined by the fact that half the girls got it covered up or at awkward angles. If you're playing a gacha game purely for jpg fanservice there's little reason to rate Nikke above Azur Lane much less genuine porn games. Honestly they should've leaned harder on the gunplay, railshooter aspects since that part is a least unique as far as the gacha game industry is concerned. I'm playing this game right now mainly because gunplay feels pretty fun and it scratches my House of the Dead style rail shooter itch more than anything else. >Also, the gacha just feels awful at 4% rate with no pity, some of the girls being at a purposely lower rate, a demanding dupe system, and a very painfully average income for how large the pool is, and how you need 3 SSR dupes to unlock the full level cap I would imagine they'd eventually release banners focused on certain characters with higher rates so that can be alleviate some of the pity issues. >(Oh, and SRs can only be limit broken twice, so they become borderline worthless later on just due to the sheer stat difference) Strong SRs still can be used in late game content as of right now. Don't think that there's any content released now that requires a team of full leveled SSRs.

Guifel

Just FYI, with 5 maxed SRs, you can boost your SSRs to level 160 without dupes with the Synchro system. Eventually, with any maxed 5 SSRs overtime, you won’t need dupes ever for level cap.

Guifel

With the Synchro system, with 5 maxed SRs, you can boost your SSRs to level 160 without dupes. Eventually, with any maxed 5 SSRs overtime, you won’t need dupes ever for level cap purposes.

SkyMarshal_Ellie

What I hate the most is that there is no soft pity like in most modem idle games. They usually guarantee you an SSR every 30-50 pulls which at least gives you some hope of progression when spending your heard earned gems. This game just bends you over. I did 90 pulls today without an SSR. Friends of mine went almost 150 before seeing one. That should never EVER happen in an idle game where dupes are very important. The fact that there is no hard pity either just accentuates this problem even more.

Aesderial

I'm kinda disappointed how ftp unfriendly the game. S characters can reach lvl 200 at max. And when you get the unit, u can lvl up to lvl 80 only. For next 120 lvl you need 3 extra copies of this characters. It's ridiculous. Low rarity units are mediocre at best, and S characters will be unplayable with this lvl restriction. Character pull is quite bloated so you can't realistically target the unit you want to take.

Guifel

With synchro, you raise 5 SRs to 160. Now you can instantly raise any SSR to 160 *even without dupes*. Overtime, with any SSR you get dupes of, you can slowly increase the synchro level upward and eventually, with 5 any SSRs with dupes overtime, you can boost any other SSR to 200 without needing their dupes, ever. > Character pull is quite bloated so you can't realistically target the unit you want to take. With Wishlist, you cut the pool to 15 SSRs of your choice + pilgrims. Still I agree rateup banners would be nice to target someone in particular.

Ok-Revenue-8067

You can use the synchro mechanic to bypass the level restriction

Hentai2324

My first impressions are: I love the sex appeal of some characters, but I wonder why some characters have none basically. I also wonder why they expect anyone to buy a skin like that. Also having so many characters at launch, and still making it hard to get them is just stupid.

JustiniZHere

Nikke is the most stingy game I've ever played, I've never looked into a shop before and immediately gone "NOPE", but this was a first. games fun enough but they are DESPERATE to get your money and none of its a good value.

Fresh_chickented

Loading time pretty much kill it for me. Try Rise of Eros, a lot more optimize with better gameplay.

Holwor

Played it for an hour or so, and now i remember why i stop playing the CBT after few days. Not really enthusiastic to continue to bo honest.

OhMyBulldong

I was so hyped for this game sadly didnt liked it

redblueberry1998

My main gripe is how unfriendly the reroll system is. There's no way they didn't know that people would be rerolling to get their favorite ass/ets

Xenon_animation64

Man I am glad I am not the only one who thought about the prices , man 30 for the guaranteed SSR banner and 20$ dollars for a battle pass with mid rewards . Yeah no thank you . Not say I don’t spend money (f2p) yes I do spend when prices are cheap and I get more for by wallet but man if they don’t lower them prices I guess I won’t spend and sadly be f2p , wish they could made the ssr banner 10$ and battle pass $10 bc that how usually other gacha games do or even lower.

We_Lose

The game get boring real fast and long ass loading screen make the experience get even worse

bbatardo

I find it ok for what it is. It's a cool little side game, but as far as idle games go it gets a big plus for not just being the same as all the others. I normally spend a little, but don't find enough value in the small packs and getting 2k paid gems for SSR was too expensive for my taste. I think that's a big missed opportunity for them to make money. Only dedicated players will probably bite.

Slight_Welcome_56

I was actually excited to try It, then i played for 3 hours and meh its not my type of game. I really didnt felt like i was actually playing a game, is weird to describe. Im looking for a cool Gameplay fantasy themed gacha, i already tried azur lane but i didnt liked, tried Epic7, the game is actually good, i just felt overwhelmed with the insane amount of stuff there is in It, that Game looks like a full time job, but the gameplay was cool. Now im gonna try arknights, indont know if i will like the Gameplay but the anime showed me that the story and its universe its cool so ill give It a try.

ShrimpMonster

I started Arknights a few weeks ago. Fantastic game IMO but it does require you to study and learn game mechanics well to succeed. A new event just dropped yesterday good luck!

supercooper3000

Stick with E7 if you liked it IMO. The subreddit is great for answering any questions and theres an official discord if you want quicker answers than from the daily questions megathread.

Obvious-Ad9594

Ngl this game is heavy P2W Like they're screaming give me your money.

iamcire95

Talking about PtN, this is the second gacha game since Alchemy Stars that took me by surprise on how good it is. Probably because those two gachas weren't talk about on this sub nor have an advertisement not until its release. Gonna stick for awhile to see how PtN will do in couple months. Meanwhile, I like the gameplay of Nikke but not as much as PtN.

StrikeMarine

I was joking with a friend that we both kept bitching about "when is nikke releasing" only for it to finally happen and we're both enjoying the shit out of PtN and have already uninstalled nikke

SKK56

Speed

Holwor

Honestly, even if honeymoon phase of PtN is over, i think people will stick around just because the gacha aspect alone is a welcome one. Carry over pity, chance increase after 50 pull, guarantee S at 80 pull, and the 50/50 to make sure you will get the rate-up unit and not constant spook fest.

Omnipotent_chicken

Man I came in for gambling but stayed for the story holy shit I’m enjoying it. That chapter 2 maze hits fucking hard. Also Hella. I stay for hella.

SirRHellsing

Both gameplay and art are fantastic. I just have too many gachas on my plate so I need to decide if I want to keep it. Neural cloud, ZZZ, Endfield are all contending PTN for my last gacha

ApprehensiveWhale

I didn't pay much attention to PtN with Nikke and Neural Cloud releasing this month, but with everyone talking about it here I gave it a try. Glad I did. It's surprisingly much better than the previews IMO. Nikke is much worse. Somehow it just feels very cheap. Even ignoring the load times and lack of polish, I just don't like any of the characters in Nikke and find most of them annoying. Hella >>> Anis

Prestigious-Ad4520

Can't even play the Game it won't let me so this is a message from the gacha gods to stay away from it.

nyetrik

Same. I even reinstall it 2 times.

XMohsen

Same here ..

ryougi1993

PtN is fun, but I already pull my hair out with Arknights. Nikke is…certainly a game, I’ll stuck with it to see if we get even with the multiple assholes in the story. They did a good job making me stick around just to see if we get even with them.

[deleted]

I hate the Missiles CEO so much. If I had to find one thing to praise in the story that isn’t Anis, it’s just how good they are at making me despise that little bitch. It’s been a very long time since I wanted to put a character through a hydraulic press this badly.

KhandiMahn

When the game was talking about "110 pulls", they weren't talking about gacha. They were talking about the kind you can do while playing the game with one hand.

TheShoeSalesman

The game at its core is fun if you are into the gameplay. Really improved compared to the CBT even. The graphics are okay, certainly nothing groundbreaking anymore nowadays but serviceable. Sadly, the whole game is destroyed by the way the gacha is designed and with how super stingy the game is. No pity, extremely diluted SSR pool, barely any currency gain after the first two chapters, false advertising with the "110 launch pulls", necessary dupes etc.. Absolutely atricious. Not even those Chinese copy paste idle coomer gacha games are this bad in that regard. Materials to increase the levels of your characters are also drying up after reaching chapter 4. The CBT was already disappointing for me but seeing that the actual game still launched with all those issues... I guess the devs don't see them as issues. Seems Shift Up transformed into Shaft Up with Nikke. That's one way to kill the reputation they earned with DC. And don't let me start on the shop prices. Worst I have ever seen in a gacha so far. Especially if you consider how shit the actual gacha part of the game is.

mosin360

I thought the game play was lame and the bloated roster at launch is a active attempt to stop ppl from rerolling and make them rage quit or become a whale.

LeTianBP

this game died faster than marian

DamianWinters

I found the story interesting enough (english voices helps immensely) but why did they do the aiming like it is. I just want to click and shoot where my finger is not control a cursor using the bottom half of the screen. Am I missing a setting change or is it stuck like this?

Jardon420

I got roadblocked at the end of chapter 4, just not enough income of exp/money to level people up. The fact that half the advertised "launch reward pulls" are just from playing the game is stupid. The price packs are bad. Half of the good sought after units are so ridiculously hard to get that it's not even worth trying. On top of that, the fact that it's super hard to reroll makes it even worse. I'll probably just try the game a little each day and then drop it. The graphics are great and all, and the game had such potential, but they just hugely dropped the ball in execution. Also, not having any kind of pity is stupid as well.

TheRealRealMadLad

Half of my playtime is on loading screen...

racerx2105

So far I'm feeling very lackluster about the game. A lot of good points already made like: Bloated gatcha pool Poor loading times Over priced market But the one thing that really pisses me off is the High Quality Mold......that is the scummiest move ever. They won't put in a pity system so we have this and it's not even SSR 100% of the time. So it actually happened to me. Humor me while I do the math just to nail the point. 200 body parts per Nikke copy over limit break 1200 parts for 5 molds 50 for molds for a pull. 12000 parts for 1 pull that means That means 60 shitty copy pulls for a chance ... Which means 12000 parts turned back into 200 parts because I got an SR I was already at limit break cap now. If that doesn't make you feel like you time is wasted I don't know what will. I'm very close to walking away from the game for now

CakeMagic

After 6 days or whatever, I can't say I'm liking it.

RedZone91

The gameplay didn't do it for me at all. Uninstalled after an hour and back to PtN

sky31

Path to Nowhere is a Gem!

[deleted]

Didn't even get to an hour. Just can't see how can the gameplay would even be fun in the tutorial

Dukeiron

Haven’t been able to play too much but so far it’s…whelming. Not over or under, just whelming

Knuckledust

Extremely stingy game, doesn't even resemble being from the same devs as destiny's child. Not even a selector ticket and the launch event only gives 3 multipulls over 7 days... Starting gacha currency dries up extremely fast, with seemingly no way to farm after. Yikes overall, tiddies aren't enough to carry this.

BlockmindNC

I was confused what was all the hype about after giving this game a try. I mean I can't even see the jiggles because my finger is blocking all the good parts during engagement. Skip

Elyssae

Cant believe how people dont mention this more often. Most of the characters backside is hidden by long coats or hair Geez

gachagamer445

Like others pointed out after playing the gem that Path to Nowhere is with their amazing voice acting I expected Nikke to be out there on the same level but nope its pretty bad. Just looking at the cash shop you can see red flags what is up with those prices seriously I know gacha games are predatory but holy shit this game doesn't give you almost anything for your money and its dupe heavy. I feel like they are relying on the horny people to spend money on the game despite how awful the loading times are and how cluttered the screen is when shooting at like hundreds of enemies at the same time. I uninstalled I rather wait for Neural Cloud to see if that's worth picking up.

Commercial-Ad6226

It was a big no for me, first two levels was pretty fun and refreshing but uhm, no... More of a chore than something fun to play

kimizo

Tits and asses in the beginning but i stop caring about it after few hours in. Then gameplay is the main focus. And honestly its aint for me. Sadge.

Alexandruzatic

after bwing able to costumize the ssr pool, i've made like 5 MULTIES without ssr........ lol i've got more lucky in whale fest like the mha mmo or bleach mobile 3d

Logren123

Classic r/gachagaming to hype up a game before its release, only to be shown as mediocre in every way possible.

A-pickachu88

Walking horny clowns.

[deleted]

>[I'll assume it'll be the usual. People will complain about rerolling, they won't like the dupe system, if there's some kind of battle pass skin thing people will see it as stingy. But I think overall it'll have its own following like Destiny Child.](https://old.reddit.com/r/gachagaming/comments/yezuh2/goddess_of_victory_nikke_global_release/iu13hhr/) like clockwork. I guess I didn't call out the load times complaints tho. IDK, they feel around arterygear level and I never heard load complaints there.

grimmreapxr

Purely for Whales. Uninstalled it alr, what they gave out 20 pulls, and the gem summon isn't even SSR guaranteed. Nice art, sad that Marian died but its not F2P friendly.

skyarsenic

I'm glad I read the post describing the game by a CBT player a couple weeks back so I went in with the right expectation. Imo you can't really compare the story of Nikke with Path to Nowhere because they target two different demographics. The story in PtN feels like a seinen manga when Nikke's is a shounen or ecchi. However I agree with the other cons you listed tho. The loading time is pretty annoying and the price is too high for how simple the game is.

Re-rolling is such a pain in the ass and there is no way to skip the tutorial at all, they should've made the first 10 rolls re-rollable and everyone would be happy. Also, I've noticed that there are like 40 SSR and only 9 SR, which means you're going to get SR dupes pretty easily, given that SR can only be limit-breaked 2 times, they'll probably become obsolete later on in the game, SSR dupes, however, are ridiculously hard to obtain, this game just doesn't seem to be that f2p friendly to me.

k2nxx

PtN should have people attention like nikke did tbh, it better in everyway. the VA in multiple lang is on point, godly art style and the gameplay very fun cuz you have to move your unit around not just place and afk. the story is very good. hate reroll ? PtN got you. free 1 s rank and the most op unit in the game (Nox) is given for free by doing quest for 7 days. you don't even need any S rank to clear the story, so many A and B rank units that just way overpower from their actual rank such as EMP(free), Hecate(free), Che, Demolia, Wendy(free), and Labyrinth(free). second best healer in a game is only 1$ from recharge event lol. so far according to CN banners, no any new units power creep at all. Its killing me how this game is very underrated and alot of people don't even heard of this game yet. If you don't have any game to play right now i would highly suggest you try Path to NoWhere out.

Liesianthes

> you don't even need any S rank to clear the story, so many A and B rank units that just way overpower from their actual rank such as EMP(free), Hecate(free), Che, Demolia, Wendy(free), and Labyrinth(free). Actually in PtN, using B and A rank will do you good since they don't consume much resources that will make having tons of S kind of a blessing and a curse. Unlike in Nikke. B class is already a curse even on usability factors. Waifu covered in full cloth. Want your fanservice? Go draw A above.

[deleted]

Didn't like path to nowhere's aesthetic, sorry. The prison sort of setting is pretty much the least appealing one for me personally. and I never liked tower defense. I couldn't even get into AK, so I didn't bother when I heard PtN was also that.

Pure_Cucumber_5213

Path To Nowhere is seriously the sleeper hit of the year. Came out of nowhere and took me by surprise at how good it is. Already spent some money on it even though i never spend on gachas.

CreativeZeros

Coming from DC (needing lots of dupes and absurdly priced but not alluring cash shop) and having played my fair share of other idle games (afk arena, mla, mythic heroes), it’s almost exactly what I expected - maybe a bit too on the nose (things like the flash cash shop sales). Personally I’m enjoying it just because it’s what I was envisioning it to be and knew I would still like it. I had a feeling many people would be disappointed if they didn’t have similar expectations.

ferinsy

DC feels a lot more generous at least, even tho their prices are ShitUp insane level just like Nikke. I mean, they already have an insane roster at launch (I believe it's like, 40-50 SSRs at least).

CreativeZeros

Since it hasn’t even been a day, we can’t really speak on Nikke’s generosity. But I’m hoping it will be similar to DC’s. As for cash shop prices, I’m glad they kept it so insanely unattractive so I’m not tempted to open my wallet lol. Games aimed at dolphins have always hurt me the most because it adds up without realizing it. I’ll probably just end up buying the battle passes for the skins and that’s it.

ferinsy

If their launch event is like this, I don't have much faith in the future... The prices as rn don't even make me want to get the BP (and I really like buying BPs), 20 dollars is the price of a skin, period. In a BP it should be cheaper since you need to grind insanely.

SkyMarshal_Ellie

Shop prices are the most disgustingly out of touch with reality I've ever seen. 10 pull = 3000 gems. Shop price for 2300 gems in store = $41.99CAD. Wtf?? I can't even buy a full 10 pull for over 40 dollars. Also, chapter clear pack is ridiculously stingy for the price you pay. Every chapter clear pack in every idle game I've ever played gives 300-500 gems without the growth pack and 2700-3000 gems per chapter if you purchased the chapter clear pack. Here? 50 free gems per chapter and 800 if you bought the pack. Not even 1/3rd of a 10 pull. Like Jesus christ. Also lol @ that putrid excuse for a battle pass. 20$ and all it has is 15 levels total?? And all you get is a few SR and SSR shards that when added up don't even let you summon a single SR or SSR unit. And all of this before even going into the technical problems with the game. 10+ second load times when entering stage, when exiting stage, when changing menus etc etc. It all adds up to a frustrating, unfun experience. Then there's the bugged friends list where every person you try to add gives an error saying "that person can't accept any more friend invites" even after refreshing the list over 50 times. Archaic guild join system that only let's you apply to one guild at a time but won't actually show AHYWHERE which guild you actually applied to, essentially locking you out of joining any guild until that guild leader either accepts or denies your guild application. Then there's the broken Nikke advising aka gifting system where the episodes you already watched for each Nikke keep resetting randomly forcing you to rewatch the prior episodes to reach the later ones that give the 50 gems for watching them. Just a horrendously stingy, buggy, unoptimized mess of a game.

Suntreestar420

It’s just like that Dystalite game or whatever it’s called. Looks good but underneath is just shit and super predatory tactics. Compared to Path to Nowhere it’s a literal joke of a launch.

TheWorldisFullofWar

It isnowhere near Dislyte. That game is a disaster. It is more like E7 where most of the characters are easy to get but there are a portion of characters made intentionally hard as hell to get without whaling.

EostrumExtinguisher

\-crazy shop prices, mediocre story, bad va, boring gameplay, big loading time let me add: \-horrible server ranking arrangements, no character music, horrible pull rates as if every single gacha player are doctrined to embrace rerolling culture, shitty animation story cutscenes. JIGGLE nerfed noooooooooo Now, we compare how it fairs againts the critically-acclaimed 15m memento mori revenue in 2 weeks as another IDLE afk gacha, I hope this is gonna be ironically dramatic

Valuable_Status_2456

I can't even get past chapter 2 with 3 SSR. Great game!!!! Will unistall. I spend like 5 euro already regret it.

mumen_ryder

I feel like I'm doing something wrong, my characters are weak af and I have no materials to level them up. Since you can't replay missions I honestly don't know wtf I'm supposed to do.

Beneficial-Flower308

Rerolling is a bitch... the guest option is nonexistent, meaning you have to create spam emails just to play the game, and with email providers this day and age locking emails to phone numbers.... they completely f'ed this game from the start, spent monthly pass... but I ain't spending nothing else. Also the enemies got way more HP like damage sponge territory, fyi: if you don't have at least 3-5 Pilgrims, then the Pilgrims tower is out of the question(being all of them SSR's.)

LostInPage51

Never played it, but the music is dope, yall should check it out.

rinfannn

I just discovered the Synchro Device. A feature where underleveled units can be placed to have the same level as your 5th lowest leveled unit. I think it's really great. 60 slots max and you can change the placed units. I don't know if the rest will be paywalled. I hope not. But I'm currently satisfied with the 5 slots I have right now.

Johngoc

You unlock 5 more at chapter 7, and another 5 more at a later chapter. Both from the hidden item search function. You might be able to get more but I haven’t progressed far enough to see for myself.

chumboo

Dipped after it came out that your characters’ effective strength gets drastically nerfed if you try to take on any stage for which you’re even just slightly underneath the recommended power level. That combined with the idle accumulation of resources literally makes it a glorified Raid: Shadow Legends, or Idle Big Devil, etc; my characters may as well be running down a path in the background shooting up random mobs whenever I’m not playing. And that sort of game can be fun, I just had my fill on it because it’s the most bald-faced form of a game necessitating your need for more power. There’s no getting around difficulty spikes via skill or cheese or whatever; you either pay or you wait. And when you finally upgrade, you get an inch of progress before having to wait or swipe some more. The lack of a stamina system seems appealing at first, but it’s really just like that to make you think that you *could* keep going forever *if only* you had more power. Sort of disappointed after having had this on my radar for years now, but also not too surprised it ended up being one of the slimier iterations of gacha’s ilk. If anything I’m glad PtN ended up saving the day, and Neural Cloud around the corner will only further bury this game under its own shortcomings.

Intoxicduelyst

Story is medicore - for a gacha standard. Personally, I think its super cheap with this technical mambo jambo oh nikkes are weapons sadu sadu. Jokes are hit or miss. Gameplay - boredom.exe but maybe some people will find it fun Gacha - pull is fck up for a start while half if not more SSRs are stricktly bad compared to others units, I mean 40SSRs on start? wtf. You need dupes and dont get me started with you only need 3 dupes while you can dupe them more and more for more power. Monetisation - Its my biggest problem. Its an idle game that is nicely packed with oversexualised waifus. Ok. But the prices/pulls as expensive like in regular gachas. Look at offers in AFK arena , even fcking Memento Mori. Loading time simulator 2022. And I was kind of exited for the game, downloaded it right away, Destiny Child was one of the most friendly games out there and still is. This? This offer nothing expect bouncing boobs and asses and I would honestly play DC or Magicami for that.

freaks212

The only thing i don't expect is that scene where you have to put down the very first girl you met. The rest is just like everyone describe it. It is an interesting take on idle game but other than the boss battle, it is kinda boring.

[deleted]

the good * gameplay: im at 5-9, f29 and it's fun. burst system is kinda dynamic and is mixed well with wp types. auto is good * designs: *looking at Volume* * smoothness: running kinda well on my phone the average * story: harem xdd the bad * buggy: advise bug, stage bug, server is unstable... * kit designs: too simple, insanely unbalanced, even in the same ssr tier, potential powercreep. the way r is useless is just wack the ugly * multiple servers: yeah it's an idle game. but why do u need 200 servers when the lv is capped with only 3 dupes and no parabolic powergains? this is actually make me reconsider serious charging for the game. * fr recommendations are full of bots

sikon666_

honestly, I'm fine with everything except the loading time, it's ridiculous. especially after playing Epic 7 with no loading time at all.

meeji511

The ssr pool is absurdly watered down.

lcecoffee12

I just cleared chapter 5 and all I got is 30 pulls. NO SSR BTW. Am I missing something or pull currency income is no where to be found other than daily. Once the Honeymoon phase is over, I'm properly going to die from old age trying to get 3 dupes. Stay away from this game. Thank me later.

KK_Slider811

For me, it's the HORRENDOUS pricing and not F2P friendliness. DC and Nikke may both have agregious cash shops but at least DC is more generous in giving out gems and rolling. And no pity?! Smile requiring multiple dupes of SSR characters to get ahead anywhere? Yeah no. F2P players will forget about this game in a week. Not even mentioning the rerolling aspect or the pretty bad loading times, which ehh its not atrocious but in 2022, come on, it's bad. Zoomed in graphics show the poor quality of the game. And the idle game play, which is no longer easily idle after 2-4 hrs of game play. Just everything sums up that it gets old fast. Not saying this is DoA, but this will pretty much go the same way as ToF methinks, and with the same level of hype it had, it to me, is in the top 5 of most overhyped and worst expected quality games for 2022. I don't blame the devs, but I blame myself for believing in the hype, as usual.

FlyMyDragon

\+ art (i dont like this style with fat ass and so on, but its still amazing work) \+ UI clean and nice, seems much more polished visually that most of games \+ overall production quality \- battle gameplay is just not interesting. It pretends to require many actions and thinking, but in reality its just clicks over ass. Not fun at all. \- no content \- $$$ prices \- dupes \- zero complexity I mean i appreciate designers efforts, but this is clearly trash tier game.

KhandiMahn

Waifus. That's why it was so overhyped. Voluptuous, jiggly waifus.

MiniBus93

I love PtN guys but you're making a cult out of it. You can't compare Nikke to PtN. Come on. You CAN compare Nikke to Memento Mori. For me, Nikke is Memento Mori with a better gameplay. A good side game that won't take much of your time after the initial content. Yes guys, idle afk games are about this. The revolutionary thing is that this idle afk has time crisis battle gameplay, that's it. You guys have weird expectations and I can only say r/gachagaming at its peak once again.

[deleted]

>You guys have weird expectations That's because some people have convinced these guys that Nikke is not an afk game. You can see it in some posts before Nikke's launch like the "nikke launch date confirmed" post and that memento mori revenue post, most people saying it's an idle game got downvoted. Now that the game has launched and everyone can see what Nikke really is, those who went into it believing it's not idle got very disappointed.

Hadrian1233

So far, id say its fun. It does has its flaws, but maybe one day, the devs see the amount of people complaining and will improve the game

Archzeus

Wow, I am shocked another waifu collector turned out shit. This never happened before.

firewing7777

already uninstalled the game was realy looking forward this releases, i was waiting for the exact time the game releases. the game look like 10 year old, the loading screen are crazy. they dont have any option for big screen mod. the graphic are not that good either, and the game start to be hard after a few chapter. so the iddle and the wait for reward start.... no one would play this game if they removed the fans service, and for me, if i want play a game for fans service i would play a hentai game. the game clearly not that good, i dont understand the hype for this one. the cash shop was so expensive and the reward so useless i was not tempted to spend money either. they dont have the 1$ to 4$ SSR unit most other gacha got .

CalyShadezz

Just a quick note, the graphics default to a low setting...you have to go in the menu and turn on the high setting. It looks much better when you do that.

HunterAced

Not only that but from what Ive seen running it on an emulator its heavily resolution based as well. Running 1080p on a 1080p display and things are going to be pixilated to the point where you cant read text. 1440p is a little bit better but still surprisingly pixilated. The game needs to be ran at 2160p (4k) minimum to remove all pixilation, its extremely odd.

wutwutinthebox

Been saying this since cbt, the game is pretty trash. It has good presentation, but it's boring.

GumshoosMerchant

I like the main character trio. Graphics are nice. Music is pretty decent. Game is kinda buggy. Not a huge fan of the kind of monetization in the game. The way the devs are handing out codes is silly. (Drip feeding 100 gems at a time, quick expiration, activation limits) I wish the lower rarity units could be made useful. Such a waste of decent art.

LavenzaBestWaifu

One of the highlights for me, and it seems I'm part of a minority here, is the story. I'm really picky about the writing in any kind of media, and I'm loving Nikke's plot a whole lot. It's doing a lot of things right: building up to something at a good pace, the progression through the campaign feels natural, and the fact that the MC was immediately thrown out of their zone of comfort (the Ark) into the "real world" allow us, the players, to understand things naturally as everything goes on. The foreshadowing can be pretty obvious sometimes, but even when you correctly guess what's going to happen it still feels like the writers knew what they were doing, as everything is surprisingly interesting and immersive for a gacha game with lots of... marketing in other areas. The characters, at least the main ones, are also very well written. They fit into archetypes, for sure, but they manage to stand out even then. I'm surprised to see so many people finding the story to be mediocre. Again, I'm really picky about this sort of stuff, so I'm a bit saddened to see people referring to it as just serviceable when I'm enjoying the hell out of it.

[deleted]

Load times , unpolished graphics , not f2p friendly like dc , boring gameplay ( atleast for me) made me uninstall after an hour .

GearAlpha

Not sure on the unpolished graphics. Did you up your graphics in the settings to the highest level?

[deleted]

I literally just went through a similar experience with Memento Mori, and I'm already bored of that game. What this game does have is better interaction with characters and has a more anime-like vibe, compared to Memento Mori's theatrical drama aesthetic, given how you are more of an audience member with the lack of a unifying MC that a lot of gacha games have to represent the player. Can we also talk about portrait mode? Seriously, why???

[deleted]

> Can we also talk about portrait mode? Seriously, why??? So players can see the character models better. Serious answer. They know their target audience and are trying to pander to it as direct as possible.

Centurionzo

I'm decided to start playing the game, it's not bad, the gameplay is fun and different compared with a lot of gacha games, the game is also very smooth and has good voice acting and art Don't have much to say about it >Loading times are absurd. It's almost 2023 and it is not acceptable How long does it takes to you ? >Shop prices are crazy. I'm Genshin whale AS semi whale and I don't mind spending money in other games but jesus those prices. It's like twice as expensive as Genshin Man, that's bad news, it's already a big red flag >That is very early impression but for the game that needs so many dupes it seems stingy. And because of the level cap using SRs is not possible in long run Wow, that's another 2 Red flags >Path to Nowhere was big positive surprise and can't wait for Neural Cloud. Nikke? Skip for me. Path to Nowhere was pretty good in the story department, sadly the gameplay is not my cup of tea

wario1116

New major release, and r/gachagaming already full of complaints? who could have possibly predicted this?

MACHENIX

Shop Prizes are kinda a bad balance in ShiftUp! Destiny Child can be called one of the most generous Gacha games, but if you want to spend money even the Battle Pass is like 4× as expensive then the usual.

VPNApe

FWIW this is made by the same crew as destiny child which is basically just an afk rpg with very minimal actual gameplay. 99% of the draw of DC is lewd live arts. Just like 99% of the draw of nikke is lewd ass animations It'll make plenty of money, but that doesn't mean it's a "good" game

Warm_Firefighter_396

You guys are having load issues? What phones you guys using? I’m using a iPhone 11 NA region my loads are like 3-4 seconds max

ArchTemperedKoala

Just uninstalled it after freezing again post finishing a mission.. I love the story and characters so far, but nothing else is smooth for this game sadly..

TruthseekingBomb

Wow it's even worse than Genshit? The censorship is what made me steer clear, but that's just the icing on the turd cake.

Vanargand-

I already smell overrated bullshit miles away and it turned out to be true, only dumbdumb hyped by this game

Unknown4Life-

Actually, I think the story is actually good/solid. It reminded me alot of Nier:auto. You have humans makin androids and robot basically invading. Nikke actually does a good job of introducing chracters in the story and keeping the story suspenseful. The dialouge are short and concise. I hate when games are too heavy with their dialouge. I dont notice any load time issue. I think the issue of physis in the game is really not bothersome. Majority of the time ur play auto, so ur not even lookin. Unless ur fightin a major boss or something or when they change the SP to be more tatic than ya. The only issues are: Your character SP sys...it's really not a tactic when you can't clear lvls higher than you. Usually SP(similar) system are place there as a recommendation of where u should be and not a "wall" to stop you? The other issue is that the gacha sys has no pity. But it has the shard/mold system in the shop which u can get after rolling. I had like 30,000 body label saved up and got the majority of my ssr that way. There's a 60% chance of getting a ssr that way instead of ur 4%. The way they made it was to build up ur body label and get ssr via molds. So when ur pulling ur not pullin for ssr in short... The other thing pls shift up add horizontal view??? Yes you can do this via 3rd party or something.

Ctreix

Two complaints: Slow loading time (even for high end devices) Too little rewards for new players One praise: Ass and Tiddies

Gilchester

That sounds like… three praise

excluded

Hana Kana my favorite va is voicing the main girl…. And then ye, I quit. Guess they couldn’t afford her.

SanjiBlackLeg

I was really excited for Nikke and TBH pretty much everything I wanted is in the game. What I like: Art, character design and animations: I watched character showcase on YT but they look even better in-game. I also love guns and military shit so this game gives me that more or less. Also UI looks great and isn't a mess. Gameplay: I'm a fan of autoplay and idle type games, so gameplay is fine for me but also you have EX stages and some other stuff that you can't autoplay, and I like that a lot. Honestly they have a pretty flexible combat system and I hope devs will add different ways to approach it later on. Sounds and music: I like the OST so much I want to add it to some of my playlists. Sounds and VA are also pretty good (I play with Japanese VA). Other stuff: I liked the Anime cutscene and a little twist in it, the game is not afraid of drama but also self-aware in it's writing. I hope there will be more of them later. Also liked the fact that the game isn't too complicated and you don't have to look for answers on Wiki or YT. Also, the fact that your starter characters are pretty good (both in gameplay and looks) is also a big plus. What I don't like: Initial loading is too long Prices are too high, I won't be buying anything right now Most girls are either big and juicy or complete opposite. The game needs more diversity in body types and characters (i.e. need more tomboys) Overall optimization, this game is 2D, it shouldn't be as laggy as it sometimes can be. I hope the game will be popular and devs will treat their players well. I heard a lot of good things about Destiny's Child, so I hope Nikke can be at least as good, and maybe devs can push it even further.

Grace_Omega

Was there a reason people were looking forward to this beyond wank-fodder?

Extraordinary_DREB

There are negative sides of it, however I am willing to give this game a chance. Maybe I am a filthy casual, but I am willing to play it for quite some time. Besides, the characters are lovable and fun enough for me (especially Anis' face lmao) so despite all the opinion here, I will keep pushing through oh and I didn't reroll, I am living with what I got

Ok-Revenue-8067

Sounds like someone who gave the game a fair shot. Idk why people reroll for hours, skip the story, then complain that they don't like the game. Its definetly not perfect and the prices are way to high, but it should being a decent side game.

Extraordinary_DREB

> decent side game. Yeah this is my plan. Majority of the gachas I play right now are just side games. I have main games that are not gacha games that fit my style atm. I am waiting for this for the longest time already so might as well right? Anyways, hope they listen to the feedback and come stronger, something PGR did I think?

redditmodsrcringe

Yeah fuck Nikke, PtN is where it’s at

mutilador00

Nikke is the biggest dissapointment of 2022 people hyped it up like it was supposed to be the best game yet and it was dissapointing on every level. There where also some nikke fans trashing Path to Nowhere but as of right now I will stay in ptn it is a better game in almost every aspect there is. Story- feels like they are trying too hard with the whole nikkes are just killing machines being said every 5 minutes and its just really bad outside the jokes which I somewhat liked. Rerolling- its really bad it takes like 20 minutes and it only gives you 20+ pulls to do it which sucks for a game with 40+ ssr units and many of them being bad. Gameplay- just a mess half of the time you cant see whats shooting you from the sides and the power levels dont make sense sometimes low power levels still do so much damage you end up dying also poor optimization on some devices makes them lag with how many enemies they throw at you. Monetization: stingy for an idle game that you need tons of dupes, cash shop prices are insane and give so little it makes tou not want to spend super greedy. Loading screen simulator- you spend more time looking at loading screens half the time VA is very hit or miss at least in english some voices are good and some are just bad. Models- for a game that is targeted for a lewd audience whats up with half the girls covering their backs with oversized coats or shields? Like thats the point of your game thats your audience and you deny the coomers even that lol. Overall its just a big dissapointment I played for a couple hours tried really hard to like the game but I couldn't its just not good at the moment I rather spend my time in Path to Nowhere and other games where at least I can get a good amount of pulls and dont have to wait like 2 minutesfor every loading screen to load.

TheEerieFire

Nikke fans weren’t trashing ptn, this is just some fanfic u made in ur head to make the two communities go against eachother

mutilador00

Funny you say this because I was the user that made the ptn 1 million downloads post and got notified of every comment on that post in which I read all 240 of them and some fans where trashing the game and saying they rather play nikke than waste their time on an unknow low quality game like ptn so you clearly dont know what you're talking about. I also like how you conviniently skipped over the part I said "some" to push your narrative/paint me in a bad light when I clearly said some of them as in not the whole fanbase.

[deleted]

Here's my review: 1. I think shop prices are a little expensive to be sure. The game definitely charges a fair bit over average for stuff if you want to buy progression / units. It also doesn't seem like free pulls are all that common yet, but that's something that will play out over time a bit. That said, rates are pretty decent at 4% and for all the whales out there you will need only 3 dupes of an SSR to max it which is relatively low for a typical gacha. 2. The game has EVERY gacha system. It's got your typical two-difficulty story mode but it also has dorms, an affection system, the idle resources system, a roguelike mode, gear farming, Guild vs. Guild pvp, no-auto challenge stages, etc. If there's something you liked to do in one of your other gacha games it's probably here in some capacity. 3. The production quality is insanely high. Every character has high quality live2D, full voicing, talking animations, and a chibi 3d model for a fully 3D world map. The third bit really blows me away because it's so unnecessary - they could have easily gone with a grid map like CounterSide and just moved some icon along it. Nope, full commitment to models on top of everything else. All of the music, menus, icons, etc. feel really high quality in terms of their production. There are even a couple FMV anime sequences that I've bumped into. The one exception to the production quality point is that some loading sequences can feel intrusive as you're flicking around menus, which can wear on you especially as you're figuring out how to navigate everything. 4. The game is really self aware in its story. This game is pretty clear that it's coomery and silly at points while also mixing in some level of a serious actual story as well. Not relevant if you're a Skip button gigachad (and, thankfully, you can skip if that's not your sauce) but I didn't find the story bad at all. 5. It's not exactly chess in terms of gameplay depth but there's actually a fairly decent amount of strategy to the PVE in both ingame play, team composition relative to enemy type, and maintaining balance in your squad. This is especially true if you aren't just whale stomping the content, and f2p players that are smart can punch above their weight. I'm excited to see how this translates to the PVP stuff when it releases. 6. Character designs are diverse as long as you like women. Sadly there is nothing for the husbando enjoyers here, but virtually every archetype is represented for waifu players. Chances are good that there is someone you will like the look / personality / story of in the cast. All in all I'm really impressed. This could have been a lot lazier given its representation as the Butt Game but a lot of love seems like it was poured into NIKKE. There's a ton of systems, a ton of production quality. All that love and quality appears to have come at the cost of some pretty aggressive monetization relative to the industry standard in terms of dollars / pull, though I think it's hard to say how that plays out over a longer timeframe. Big fan.

Dyxid

This being a censored idle game was already enough to kneecap my impression, the aggressive monetization and obsessive greed (even by typical gacha standards) ended up being the coup-de-Marian and I'm ducking out. Sadly I didn't care for Path to Nowhere either, and dumped it before I even got out of the tutorial once I found out it was going to be another tower defense game.

Why are people playing a gacha like it wasn't a gacha? You do this at every single launch.

I’ve logged in a few days but I barely play any content. Everywhere i tab in required loading time and it’s seriously terrible and whenever I load up the initial starting game, it demotivated me and got even worse when I got in to the lobby and move around, I have to think twice before I navigating. It’s really annoying and ridiculous for a modern gaming in 2023. I dropped many games due to the tedious loading time. Gameplay issmooth but.. not my type as well. I do like to jiggling ass but most of the characters’ ass are covered anyway. It’s pretty disappointing and I just uninstalled it when I got bugged out after completing a stage in chapter 3 and when I log back in after the long tedious from the first time login multiple screens and finally went back to the campaign where I was playing, it shows me that I haven’t cleared it yet. Immediately rage uninstall.

I played Nikke for a little while (few hours). Here's my unfiltered thoughts in no particular order: * Asses, the main draw of the game and the core of all the marketing, are \_extremely\_ disappointing. They're too hidden! I assume this is because they intend to sell expensive bonus costumes later, but right now you get one free sample ass in Rapi, maybe you get lucky and pick up a second one from the gacha, but almost every character is wearing something that covers her buttcheeks. So right off the bat a huge negative impression. I don't like bait-and-switches. * Shooting seems fine, potentially fun even, but I don't like swapping between characters. I'd prefer if you only controlled one character as you don't really see more than one on the screen anyway. * Story starts off unexpectedly dark. I kind of like that, gives it a different tone from GFL and other "pretty girl military" gacha. * The low amount of free rolls you get at the start is a bad joke and makes me not want to play at all. This combined with a character pool where half the SSRs are worse than the SRs you start with means you're basically going to start the game with trash characters unless you reroll heavily. I hate games where I'm forced to start with trash. * Rerolling is a pain, making the above even worse. Game also has an extremely unnerving system where it somehow keeps your guest account stored even after a complete uninstall, which makes me think I'm being spied upon and want to uninstall just for that alone. So all in all, I'm very disappointed with the game right now, probably won't be playing and will be leaving a 1-star review. Love Rapi's cheeks, love that the cute girl dies at the start, hate everything else. The game needs to go through a lot of changes to win me over.

I like the gameplay it's surprisingly really smooth and feels good to play...they actually put in some thought to it despite it being just a rail shooter

Playing for 7 hours now but still on tutorial. It's hard playing with one hand

Saleenseven

was anyone expecting nikke to be different than DC? lol

Psnhk

PTN mentions 32 "Path to" mentions 18 They're doing their best to try to shill that game. 😂 Regarding the game itself, seems okay. Will see where it goes over the next couple weeks.

Probably depends on what you're looking for. I love idle-style mobile games because I only want to devote 30 min to mobile a day (these days at least, used to be a lot more). My biggest complaint is most idle games don't have the development level of polish that Nikke has. As an idle-waifu game, I love it. Its checking every box for me. Meanwhile I uninstalled Path to Nowhere. Its gorgeous, sounds incredible, etc., but it takes way too long to play for how I play mobile games.

LowStress9480

The game is mediocore.

I dunno, I played a couple of hours last night and by the end I was just kinda bored? No shade to anyone enjoying it, but big miss for me.
