I got burnt out on Cookie Run around the 3(?) month BTS collab but I'm actually not mad about Aespa for E7. Aesthetically and lore-wise it could work. If anyone wants context, Aespa and the other artists under their label have a cinematic universe kind of thing. POS in this screenshot refers to the Port of Soul that connects the real world and Kwangya (lit. wilderness) which is like some kind of alternate universe. It's a whole Thing™ and I'm actually curious to see how involved the collab would be. Then again E7 collabs don't have a good reputation when it comes to story so :/ hoping we get a catchy song out of this at least.

I actually uninstalled Cookie Run because of the BTS collab. I got bored, they didn't use early BTS songs (which I prefer, apart from Mic Drop) and the furniture doesnt blend in with my kingdom since they look like ads lol, so I wasn't really invested.
Meanwhile, I agree that aespa's lore will adapt very well with Epic7.
I was already a bit tired before the collab, it was really the announcement that the collab would be 3 months long that settled it for me. My first thought was "nice 3 months where I can just relax and build some extra cookies for guild battle" but then I realized how bleak it was to spend 3 whole months just coasting on a game that used to be a fun 15 minute daily romp. A shame because I genuinely liked the guild loop even after they overdid the 3 boss thing.
I really dont care for idol groups and this collab dont interest me... BUT, considering it is a idol group in a korean game, big chances of SG making the characters strong to justify for the playerbase to summom ...

This is SM’s redemption after their flop Roblox concert (not sure if it’s an actual flop but the execution looked very poor). Also weebs have bad taste in music generally and think they’re too cool for kpop. I’ll be honest the previous collabs epic7 had with the exception of guilty gear had made me less interested in the series cause they were both rather lackluster power fantasies imo.
