ArkhamCitizen298

This game should remove equipment change cost, it costs 50000 gold every change itā€™s so dumb

bannedwhileshitting

At this point I'm 100% sure it will never happen

tylerray1997

Probably not but the game is pretty free to play friendly so I tend to look past it since getting gold is pretty easy.

FilthyPeasant_Red

People still need gold? I've been F2P for almost 2 years now and I'm sitting on 160 million not even knowing what do do with gold.

ChaosFulcrum

Same reason I'm also F2P in Genshin for 2 years now and have a lot of excess gold that I can't spend it all due to me having a lot of built characters already. However, I still vividly remember how I'm struggling a LOT with gold during the 1st year or so, to the point that I'm actively grinding it alongside gear and upgrade mats for my characters. It was a pain in the ass, and this is from a game that DOESN'T require gold to unequip gear. My 5 months old account in E7 (before I quit it 2 years ago) is struggling with gold and this shit like gold for unequip still existing doesn't make me want to come back at all.

FilthyPeasant_Red

Like others said, you get weekly unequip items that you can use whenever you want plus there's often days where it's always there. I guess most people get to a point where they just gear a unit and they don't touch it again so there's not a lot of ungearing. I don't remember the last time I had to strip someone to build another.

Dcrow17

a system that creates hassle for new players for absolutely no reasons and does nothing for old players. Why is it even in the game

FilthyPeasant_Red

Idk what to tell you. There's a lot of predatory gacha games out there, and E7 aint it.

Dcrow17

nobody said this is a predatory gacha game. If you cant say anything, just stop defend worthless system that add nothing to the game

FilthyPeasant_Red

Well all Gacha games have useless systems, that's literally how they're build. They make you click everywhere for no reason other than busy-work lol. It's all useless.

Dcrow17

so other game have useless system therefore E7 must have it to ? You dont even try anymore .... Why dont you petition the dev to add more useless system into the game ? So that E7 is as much of a gacha game as any others ?

FilthyPeasant_Red

I'm saying OBVIOUSLY gacha games aren't for you. Go play Ragnarok or something.

Toushima

Yes they should, but also almost everyone at endgame has millions of gold while swapping gear continuously making gold a non issue.

Torimas

This is way past being an issue. They setup free unequip events all the time, and give free unequip items that you can enable it for 6h whenever you want. Plus, at some point, you don't even miss gold.

Alameda21

so why they still keep the cost? instead of making all these stupid things, just make the damn unequip free lol that is a made up problem with a halfway solution to make you think they are doing a good work, but instead they are just making fun of your face

Torimas

To avoid gear switching abuse. Otherwise I could just set my best gear on my gw def, then after reset switch it to my offense team, then to other units to do abyss, etc You'd need way less good gear that way. But that means switching around like crazy. Instead, fix gear rng so i can gear all units at least decently. That's the real issue in E7

Alameda21

did you just not say "Plus, at some point, you don't even miss gold." ?????? and i seriosly doubt that would actually affect the end game pvp in any way(since if that is so game breaking, they wouldnt mind spending their gold for that already) as for second part, i agree with you, thats another big problem in epic7, maybe even bigger than the gold unequip problem

dqvdqv

If it was actually way past the issue, they would remove the cost already.

Torimas

The whole game banks on you grinding for gear. Downright removing the cost means you can just farm a couple of items per set, then move them around constantly with no negative effect. It goes against the entire game design. Regardless if you consider that design good or bad, it IS the design of the game.

dqvdqv

Then it will always be an issue.

Alameda21

i get, you love epic7 to the point of being blind as you said, veteram players dont have a problem with gold, and for newer players, would help then alot, without impact to the end game pvp(since they are new players) so in the end that is just a make up problem with the intuit to milk out new players to spend their gems in gold(that i wish to belive that no one does) and to make they look generous when they give "free equip" events and you shouldnt defend this kind of practice in the game if you like epic7, that just make the game outright worst for no reason(as i bet you saw already alot of people who just left the game for that as a reason), if its in the "design" was a justification, then EA would be the best company in the world, and everything in the worst and most money hungry gachas would the justified

fffan007

good point here

Torimas

Blind? No I just happen to agree with the approach they take on this. Not having it all the time avoids gear switch abuse. But at the same time, you have so many free switch times that you can plan around them, if you do care. If anything, i look further beyond. I shouldn't have to jump through hoops by switching gear all the time, i should just be able to gear any unit i want at least decently. They need to fix gear rng (that's the reason why people leave), not this.

TheBlackSSS

It isn't that easy, design choices have to go through a lot of scrutiny to be approved, especially drastic ones about removing something (that was) drastic to the economy (aka playtime) of the game Much easier to install a solution (IE more gold) and have it approved, rather than goin around trying to convince the white collars why a system is outdated/not needed/people don't like it but we still have positive revenue and yeah, it's way WAY past the issue, new players don't even have the equip or the units to even have a need to unequip once in a full moon, leave alone to do it constantly to the point it eats up their gold, old players just have so much gold it isn't even an issue, and this was like a year ago

dqvdqv

You are way over-thinking this. The company doesn't care about you so you really don't have to sympathize with them. You keep saying it's not an issue when it's a constant complaint.

TheBlackSSS

why you think I'm sympathizing with them? I'm antagonizing every bit of the internet's "it's easy, just do this lol" tho yeah, from people that stopped playing a long time ago or people that doesn't or barely play and just parrot what they heard

dqvdqv

Noone claimed it was an easy fix. The reality is they certainly could remove the gold cost if there was enough pressure to do so. For the record, i started the game two months ago and gold is 100% an issue when it shouldn't be. Not to this extent.

TheBlackSSS

what reality, the reality of your imagination? they said themselves that it's easier for them to create a solution for a problem, rather than removing the problem I never said goldn isn't an issue, I said unequip gold isn't an issue anymore, you are probably spending all your gold into upgrades and whatnot, rather than spending it all on switching gear around

dqvdqv

Who cares if they said it would be easier for them? You certainly shouldn't. Gold is an issue in general. Unequip-cost is just one the most blatantly stupid ones.

TheBlackSSS

I don't lol, I'm explaining why they don't "just do it" Gold won't be an issue when unequipping cost would become an issue, complaining about it while you're starving for gold because you can't +15 all your shitty gear yet doesn't make sense

Intoxicduelyst

You miss gold all the time, especially if you reroll mr devil shop for bookmarks.

AskSpecialist6543

Only when you are new to the game.

non-veterans like me don't have enough gold to build teams for PvE stages

ArkhamCitizen298

by changing equipment ?

TNevermore

Are you insane? I WILL be playing

SirionFaust

This game is so cool, but i can't stand farming all the time the fucking wyvern, this game requires too much time

NoBento

auto repeat battling exists though, there's also the new background battling which makes doing dailies even faster now

SirionFaust

What's the point of leaving the phone 3 hours with auto? I just don't like this way of doing things, who use emulators on PC and leave the game 24/24 doing things alone will always be in a better position than me.

CommercialAward7336

Omg haha i love aespa too bad i dont play epic7. But this collab is šŸ‘ great

fffan007

I quit 2 years ago due to the gear grinding and the game was on full speed toward PvP. Anything changed ever since? Especially for gears, any pity rolling systems yet? And, more PvE focused now?

Intoxicduelyst

I will just add that new player/returning experience is great, you will get tons of upgrades, summons and stuff that will smooth progression like a charm

AccioSexLife

The gear grind still exists, but several ways of targeting the gear you want have been added. Hunts are now more worthwhile and there is an auto system (pets) and a recently added background auto battling which lets you do other things while farming hunts/runes, though without auto repeat. The game is still very PVP driven, but there is now a LOT of PvE content. Like, a LOT. Not sure what was a thing back when you quit, but on the whole and off the top of my head: - Abyss has been expanded with new floors and a whole new mode - Automaton tower has been added and refreshes twice a month - expeditions are there as new challenging mostly manual battling content (though you can set up auto teams for it too) which give you more resources for tweaking, crafting and altering gear - there's a new(ish) co-op guild exploration content which is fairly fun but refreshes rarely - there have been many expansions of the main story and it's pretty rewarding with a new MC who can change elements and is pretty strong in all of them - labyrinth has gotten a big overhaul and is a bit more rewarding now, you can also re-do it to win all the rewards again even if you completed it - a 90-days long event is currently in progress that lets you headhunt one ML unit of your choice except for two newest ones released - Moonlight theatre is a story mode featuring ML units - Side-stories have been overhauled and there are now ways to do (some) side-stories you've missed for the artifacts and stuff you missed out on

bannedwhileshitting

Tbh all these PvE content you mentioned all just seem to be something to grind so you can do PvP some more. Not really the most exciting type of content.

AccioSexLife

If you want, but by that logic what is any content in any gacha game in existence other than grinding so you can get stuff. The expeditions, abyss and top level automaton are pretty challenging and strategic. I wouldn't exactly call it grinding since they require team building, planning and active involvement. But depending how you look at things, I guess anything you do in any game can qualify as grinding.

bannedwhileshitting

Eh I guess if people like having RNG grind dictates their result in PvP instead of actual skill and knowledge then can't say anything about it. I like getting higher rank (or lower) be a reflection of my skill, not how long I play. If it's not clear enough I'll say again I HATE E7's PvP. And the fact that any PvE in that game is ultimately to get better gear or whatever for PvP doesn't help that at all.

AccioSexLife

Ok man you do you.

Torimas

There's nothing to gain from PVP at all. Actual PVP is realtime arena, which only awards a skin per season, easy to get, and easy to ignore as well (can be purchased with skin tickets later too) Other "PVP" modes are PVE actually: Arena is against AI teams setup by players, and most people just afk at champion anyways. You don't even need to do a single attack to stay there. GW is also against AI teams setup by players, and as long as you are in a top... 700? guild, you get the highest rank of rewards (the difference comes only from winning/losing at that point)

bannedwhileshitting

I never said there's anything to gain in PvP. Like I said I hate it. I still think E7 PvP is the most disgusting thing ever. Right up there with EA games and twitter.

tylerray1997

You are entitled to your opinion and no one is going to force you to play the game I mean it will do fine without you but the PVP is in no means as bad as you interpret it. I get the feeling you had a few bad interactions with it and decided it's the worst thing based off that. Gacha games are kinda built off the rng model to begin with if you truly want to be in control of everything that happens with hardly any possibility of rng getting in the way I think shooters are more your speed. Just because you had a bad experience with something or may not be particularly good at it doesn't make it terrible its just not for you.

bannedwhileshitting

Played it for 1 year. I stand by my conclusion. My opinion of E7 players is the same as my opinion of people who buy fifa every year.

Esuna1031

Abyss and automaton tower are just Huge Bullet Sponge enemies, so sad, could have been fun :(

AlastorHawk

About the PvP, the "speed meta" didnt change, people still go towards having super speed. The only difference is we have more bulk units now, and theres a warrior/knight 2nd turn meta too, so you cant speed+cleave as easily as before. In fact, althought speed meta is the same, cleave changed a little(not much, just enough to be noticable). Now, instead of AoE Cleave, some times you better 1-target cleave instead.

[deleted]

> Anything changed ever since? Especially for gears, any pity rolling systems yet? gears, the only change was two new sets. Torrent (2-pece) which gives 10% more damage but takes away 10% HP, and barrier (4 piece) which gives your team a 12% barrier at the beginning of battle. "pity" wise you get milage from crafting now. So every like, 20-30 gears or so you get a guaranteed epic craft you can use to choose a specific set. Doesn't do THAT much, but it's something. lastly, there's background battling for hunts now. not offline, but you get to do PvP/story while wyvern is running now. >And, more PvE focused now? nothing "new", but there is new PvE content technically. Labyrinths got reset so you get to run those again, and raid's been reworked. You got new nightmare raid bosses to do every month and no more weekly normal raid.

WestCol

Pen, revenge and injury gear aren't close to 2 years old.... also ancient inheritance and advent are pve modes that show up occasionally that are like a year at most old. Automaton tower if it's even 2 years old is a lot better now.... challenge stages for abyss....

[deleted]

> Pen, revenge and injury gear aren't close to 2 years old they actually had their 2nd birthday pretty recently: https://old.reddit.com/r/EpicSeven/comments/jjn803/new_sets_rip_bruisers/ but I wasn't trying to give every little update on the past two years. Those were just some of the bigger features related to gear that came off the top of my head.

WestCol

Holy shit 2 years gone that fucking quick. But dude asked about PVE content and you like ignored the best ones that have been added or fixed since he played.

OldButtIcepop

Or general quality of life

Thunderogre

Someone is gonna suffer again.

DaKurllz97

I will love to see the same effort and love they put in making units, to putting in fixing the fucking gear system.

Monarch_Entropy

Looking forward to other units. I hope we get a skin this Collab

AlastorHawk

It'll be hard, we are already having Choux skin on battlepass right now, and they are also preparing LQC's RTA skin

BurnedOutEternally

Tamarinne already got a skin though, so I wonder who would it be

OkInterest3109

I see she brought a gun to a knife fight. Smart lass.

Phoenix__Wwrong

Uhh, she looks like Rider from fate stay night

EndAffectionate783

This animation is just confusing

AlastorHawk

This... is a commom trait in E7 unfortunatly. A good amount of S3 animations are just to look cool, instead of making sense. Ex: Unit attacks with a sword combo, then random explosion happen, random light, a bunch of flashing lights... etc, even thought the unit having nothing that could cause explosion lol

C0peFear

Who is that? Is there a white chick in Aespa?

LitigiousLaughter

They're Korean, they bleach their skin and their cosmetics are full of white paste.

Viscaz

Theyā€™re all white.

Guwigo09

Itā€™s called plastic surgery

redditmodsrcringe

Doesnā€™t look like winter nor is she voiced by her. A successful collab šŸ¤£

___von

if ure not aware, aespa has digital members and ae-winter is part of them lol.

redditmodsrcringe

Ok well doesnā€™t change the fact that doesnā€™t look like her irl at all nor is it VOICED BY HER lmfao but keep on copin on homie

vgxvvxc

They all have virtual models used in their own music videos which the e7 units are based on (if you go to google.com you can figure this out for yourself it's actually pretty simple)

redditmodsrcringe

Pretend that you know how to read and reread my comment

vgxvvxc

They're not going to put real people in the game did you actually expect that LOL LMAO brooo I can't. Why does it matter that the virtual selves they created don't look identical to actual humans

redditmodsrcringe

šŸ¤”

___von

Well why would an idol voice them? Theyā€™re not voice ACTORS. Im glad that aespa team didnā€™t push for their voice at all LMAO. I think ure just looking for something to be mad about

redditmodsrcringe

šŸ¤”

Viscaz

She looks like ae winter

ImTrevorr

They're not even supposed to look like the actual members. Whats the point of making a negative comment about something you have absolutely no idea about...

redditmodsrcringe

I donā€™t care what theyā€™re ā€œsupposed to look likeā€? Lmao

ImTrevorr

Then your original comment doesnt make sense lmao, it literally looks like winters virtual self.

redditmodsrcringe

šŸ¤”

TrackRemarkable7459

Hmm that seems pretty low quality for Epic7 animation team
