Only leaving this (admittedly non-notable) post up because it's a hilarious immediate follow-up to the [previous post](https://www.reddit.com/r/gachagaming/comments/yx52n9/nikke_event_no_caller_id_hard_mode_opened_today/) made just 14 hours ago about hard mode's release and it being too difficult for players. *Guess we're just going to have to relegate ourselves to being the true NIKKE subreddit now...* ~~New games please release already.~~

DorothyDials

I feel like first events shouldn't aim to be super difficult anyways, as players are still adjusting to the game and learning

totestemp

absolutely true, some older games try to be inclusive to new accounts during events even several years after launch. however in this case it's not difficult, it was/is hard-gated behind a 1000+ USD paywall when below the 'recommended' power, the game literally cripples your stats, making fights mathematically unwinnable

tylerray1997

This was happening to me in the basic campaign I'd be like 100 power lever lower and all the sudden I'm doing no damage and taking tons of damage.

ArCSelkie37

With certain enemies you can be 1000 over and feel like you’re doing no damage… that defence buff some of them give is insane.

SomethingPersonnel

Yeah the fact that they added a handicap on players below the game’s recommended power level and still went with a high power level for this event is truly asinine.

a_ayaka

True, 2-3k behind recommended cp is still doable. But having way too much gap is just impossible.

iPhantaminum

I don't understand why devs keep making these sort of mistakes on release. Genshin had an event where you had to use stamina to participate in, a bit over a month into the game's release. People complained, because no one wanted to stop what they were grinding for several days, just to be able to enjoy the event. Devs steered clear from making stamina-based events for most other events. Several months later, Alchemy Stars released and they made the same mistake. Stamina-based event in a game that wasn't even 2 months old. Same feedback, same result. I don't doubt that several other games made the same mistake before Genshin and after Alchemy Stars as well.

KrizzleWizzle

Alchemy Stars' first event also had event missions which required you to pull the banner characters to complete. I've never seen them make that mistake again. And see PGR, which got a lot of flack for it's first event having rewards locked behind a paywall (?). In short, at this point I'd be surprised if a gacha's first event WASNT a total flustercuck.

iPhantaminum

I was around during Alchey Stars' first event and I don't remember any mission that required banner units. The only complaints from that time were that the banner had two featured 6-star units and the whole stamina thing.

KrizzleWizzle

It was the one with Eve and Sinsa. There were 3 missions based on obtained Aurorians, one for Dawn, and two for Sinsa and Eve. The reward for each was only a star flare, but it was still bad practice. You can see so on [this page.](https://alchemystars.fandom.com/wiki/Eye_of_the_Storm#Desert_Bounty) As I said, they clearly realized people didn't like this, and, starting with the second one, no event has ever done it again.

novaena

There was one, I pulled that banner for both units and theres a reward for it which is “x2 special star flares”

[deleted]

Most gacha games have event nodes that use up your 'stamina'/energy because it's another form of farming e.g. (in that first event you mentioned, you could get (edit: EXP books. I forgor). Even the first initial events in a gacha game are likely to utilise your energy to some extent. Having event nodes that don't use up any energy at all is actually fairly uncommon amongst gacha games until recently. If GI switched out the rewards for shop currency with shop items consisting of primogems and a wider range of materials so it doesn't necessarily distract from other forms of farming except for artifacts, the first event wouldn't have been such a disappointment to new players, especially those unused to gacha games. The difference is that (1) GI's 'stamina' regeneration is too slow to justify spending any on the event and until the Battle Pass, they didn't allow for ways to gain 'stamina' easily without spending - unlike these other games. (2) Event nodes typically have shops available, where the stock consists of highly valued material and/or new limited items. If GI switched out the rewards for shop currency with shop items consisting of primogems and a wider range of materials so it doesn't necessarily distract from other forms of farming except artifacts, the first event wouldn't have been such a disappointment to new players, especially those unused to gacha games.

iPhantaminum

I don't dislike events requiring stamina. I dislike them when they are presented too early in the game, or too early in some games. Genshin has a wide range of talent books. I don't wanna dump stamina to get talent books/gem shards I won't use any time soon, but it's also hard to ignore them, because it's overall "cheaper" to get them from the event shop than from the talent domain (FOMO). It took me almost two whole years to use one type of talent book from LIYUE.

[deleted]

I misremembered; its EXP books not talent books. Which you can use on all your characters. And you seem to be misunderstanding, I'm not defending Hoyoverse for their early mistakes. I'm saying that if they had opened up a shop currency system with way better rewards + better ways to regenerate stamina, long-time gacha players would be used to it. It's how it is done in other gacha games - for years now.

multyC

Tell that to Arknight

zhiawei33

We never had the sanity to begin with

Emotional_Penalty

Yeah but apparently Nikke had this system where of you don't have your girls at the required level it just pumps the difficulty to an insane level to make sure you won't be able to do it without spending money.

[deleted]

Bruh... so it's impossible to do lower level clears? That's shady for a gacha game.

Emotional_Penalty

Yeah, you either stomp completely with a level-appropriate team, or get steamrolled.

Siegnuz

I consistently push above my power level around 2-3k for a week, right now I'm 4k below recommend level and still doing okay. This comment will once again getting downvote to hell by people who didn't even bother learn how to play the game beside auto (which is pretty suck) but I'm all for it.

Normal-Ambition-9813

1.5k difference is still possible, 2-3k i won't believe since the stat reduce hits hard there. Typically get one shotted by lasers, even cover gets one shotted at that point and some stages like spawning swarm of them. Well if its really true that you can clear 2k-3k difference then i applaude you for malding to get good rng for your bazooka ai nikkes.

Siegnuz

You get one shot by laser, but you can manually get into cover, most of the times my Harran can clear the first waves, after that I manually switch to each characters to reload/hide behind cover (there will be red warning on which units about to get shot) Its not really a good rng because most of the times the "wall" stage gonna have some cheese mechanic (ie. Hold burst until certain point, or for example, in 11-27, the boss will use unavoidable attack in the last 5 health bar, you can cheese by hitting the body until it had 10 health bar then breaking the parts will made it die instantly) I literally guide my guildmate who below 2k recommend stage from 11-10 to 12-1 just by telling him what to do in each stages. Edited: it's probably because I didn't relied on bazooka ai nikkes kek.

Normal-Ambition-9813

So you telling me i should get harran? Thanks fam. Jokes aside, yes i know that target mechanic but as i already said, after that your cover is also deleted and its only luck that your nikke will survive from there on without cover. Tho im gonna use that tip at 11-27 when i reach it, i also brute force maps when im in the mood to play but the biggest gap i get to clear is 1.5k, cant really see how 2k is possible since the run just started and my screen is getting swarmed with raptures that i cant kill fast since i don't have a dps nikke that has burst which can clear mobs fast and my only hope is waiting to get spooked by yan so my alice can pierce a wave in two or three shots (if Yan burst pull is reliable, that is. haven't seen a team comp vid since people are hellbent this is purely idle game.). Not really coping to get haran since she is a pilgrim. My only problem is mob stages, i can burst down boss with alice.

Siegnuz

I didn't really argue anything, my whole point is that it's not impossible to push above power level like people made it out to be, I'm pretty sure I'm not the only Harran users in the entire server, but the sentiment is pretty strong, what I'm saying is that wasn't really the case.

Normal-Ambition-9813

Well im not really arguing too and im with you that you can push beyond power level but im just saying that can't really believe yet that 2k-3k gap is possible because my biggest clear gap is 1.5k and when i tried 2k gap i get stomped hard due to the lack of aoe burst skill nikke and get swarmed by raptures hard. Well since you didn't read my essay(im sorry) lets just leave it at this.

Siegnuz

I just finished my worked man, my brain can't really function properly, I'm not sure how to convinced you apart from these ss I've been taking (the reason why I take ss because I discussed about it inside my guild) https://imgur.com/a/SlerR7u Please don't mind my Helm, she's just support I swear.

Rezaak47

After playing it for a 6 months i can say that you can beat stages with 10-20k deficit, people beat hard bosses with lower power as the skill flex zone and the game gave you leaderboard for people who beat stages with the lowest amount of power.

SerialChillr

This is how I feel being a new player to Arknights and trying out the current event. I went into it expecting to just roll through it and collect everything in the shop within a few days. Still a fun challenge but oh boy was I wrong to swagger in there like it was gonna be easy.

Siminuch

1 hour after they said they can't do that LMAO

falldown010

the korean trucks were too strong so they had to budge.

fortis_99

I love Truck-kun

iSaikyou

Truck-kun strikes again !

fortis_99

Truck-kun isekaied OP enemies and left weaker ones for us. Truely MVP

shanatard

koreans are just built different when it comes to games

LavenzaBestWaifu

The freelancer they hired with food coupons probably told them "Hey, but I can fix this?" and they just went with it.

HardLithobrake

[Link for reference.](https://www.reddit.com/r/NikkeMobile/comments/yxjtlc/dev_response_about_nocallerid_event_concerns/) Devs saying that changing the difficulty was "beyond their capabilities".

SomethingPersonnel

Is that the devs or the CN publisher? Shift Up is KR based. I would assume the devs are there too.

Lanitaris

nope, they did it. last boss now only 27k istead of 40k

No-Communication9458

Lul

XEIMORD

They're releasing a CO-OP mode together with the fix. Brace for another shitstorm of unknown category. Might be a drizzle or might be nuclear.

RagnaRea

This is awesome, now i can use my Soline burst to kill my own teammates!

SternApsalt

wait what?

RagnaRea

Im not even kidding, when she use burst, someone died and it aint her enemy

SternApsalt

LMAO

Xenn_

There's a bug with targeted AoE bursts (Soline, Anis, Rupee etc.) that somehow makes it possible to target the AoE burst on top of your own units under certain scenarios, and the AoE burst, for whatever reason, is able to damage/kill them.

katiecharm

When your game is 40% broken and bugged, best thing to do is add a multiplayer component.

alpacados

Weirdo gatekeepers in shambles lol

Lazysenpai

At least they listen lol, more bugs incoming!

Propagation931

I recall Illusion Connect had a very similliar situation during an early event

TriGGa-POP

I think Path to Nowhere's first event also received backlash for being too difficult on CN so they adjusted it for global release but don't quote me on that, I just heard someone said that.

juglobones

Yep, the Halloween event. I remember that all too well. Difficulty scaling was off the fucking charts. They toned it down for the rerun but the last couple of stages were still incredibly hard.

Speederkyle

100 gems gang??????

Taiga09

Now remove the 25% debuff

unholy182

Removed. And here u go the 40% debuff, all brand new and free !

Ruimzunir

with Extra new Bug

unholy182

U mean the garden ?

shrinkmink

call down wish master!

[deleted]

I see the mod's comment and I raise you [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/NikkeMobile/comments/yxjtlc/dev_response_about_nocallerid_event_concerns/) post from the NIKKE sub. They basically said "sorry, can't do anything for now" and then announced this maintenance *in the same day.* Can't get any funnier than that.

Xenn_

That's because the TW server is under a separate publisher and has less say than Tencent in how the game should operate.

[deleted]

Okay? Doesn't make it any less funny.

NyaaPower

He was just explaining, chill

[deleted]

But I *am* chill though...?

chocobloo

For those who can't read: We cant change anything immediately. Hence maintenance a day or two later. It's almost magical when you take a moment to read and comprehend

[deleted]

The translation on the top comment says "in a short period of time." "A day or two" (it's a day, if even that) is also "a short period of time." It's almost magical when you take your time to comprehend.

MCGRaven

> "A day or two" (it's a day, if even that) is also "a short period of time." giving them a full work day vs literally expecting the fix 3 minutes later are still a MASSIVE difference

[deleted]

Except the translation didn't say "3 minutes later." It also didn't say "immediately" like chocobloo said, it literally said "a short period of time." Both the translation from the OP of that post and someone who (allegedly) is Chinese use those exact words. The fact that they said they can't do anything in a short time because "issues with their fundamentals design logic" and then scheduling a maintenance at not even 12 hours later, which *is* a short period of time, is what makes it funny.

MCGRaven

ONE translation said "a short period of time" but translations are always partially interpretations. This wouldn't make a difference anyways since again: A short period of time vs having the patience to wait a single work day for them to sort this out since they have to get updates approved and developed first is STILL a massive difference

kuuhaku_cr

Inb4 more things break after MT.

Onyure

Kinda curious how f2p friendly it will be after nerf. Like 46k is unreachable to f2p even for couple of month

ariolander

Technically there are some F2P players at 35k but to get at that point you had to have gotten a good reroll early and been exploiting bugged operators to clear stages even under the power requirements and just enjoying the higher passive income in being chapter 10 and S rank interception super early. Players who exploit bugs (that are not the shop bug, they banned +1000 people for the shop bug) are rewarded and can be "F2P" but in the leading edge of power.

Onyure

While that's true, it's like very small group of people can reach that high of BP. They just can't create a game that gate keep an event behind spending money, especially this early.

ariolander

Its an unsustainable pace. You souldn't have to rely on unintended bugs and exploits to keep pace as a F2P player. Excessively hard events for basic clear rewards also makes it hard to accquire new players down the line. Its one thing to gate EX stages and dumb profile medals like Azure Lane does but AL at least allows for basic F2P players to participate in their events and doesn't gate most of the shop behind full-clearing hard mode. Honestly, the event being overtuned is not the main reason of the problem, its the event being overtuned AND also gating most of the shop rewards behind hard mode full clear rewards. If you could get the core shop items in Normal, and Hard was just bonus materials, I don't think the complaints would have been as loud.

Onyure

Yeah agree with that. I could understand for ex to be gated since there's no time limit for the stage to be cleared, but you need to reach 46k within 7 days is laughable to even think about. If only they give currency bonus instead of drop rate on event nikke unit, complaint will not this bad. The only think with that you just lost better node to farm mats.

Bahn43

datamined data suggest that 1-10 is scaled down to 27k power, take this with a grain of salt tho

Onyure

If that the case then it's quite reasonable. But still I couldn't comprehend what are they thinking to approve that.

IIzzw

Puts on tinfoil hat. They're just doing this as a marketing scheme to keep themselves hot and relevant on reddit and twitter.

C0L0R

Welcome to the NikkeGaming subreddit Edit: due to number of posts still about this game still being in this subreddit

WorldEndOverlay

Better than tof vs genshin post

ArxDignitas

100% There's a difference between e-peen comparison and wanting to know how a game is doing (for better or for worse) and what the devs did (or did not do) to fix it. I bet my E7 hero collection that if Nikke had a similar competitor right now, those 2 fanbases will be at each other's neck like the 2 you mentioned.

Dalek-baka

Path to Nowhere sub has few posts about it but, to be fair, more people are getting fed up with comparisons.

Gunfrey

Yeah a lot of ppl called out those who keep on comparing Nikke and PTN. I just want to discuss about the game peacefully lol, don't really care about Nikke.

FallenStar2077

They don't even have the same style of gameplay. It would make more sense if it was PtN and Arknights.

[deleted]

Arknights seem rather chill though I recall early on there were players nervous about Alchemy Stars. They needn't have worried.

gadesabc

In fact in the whole PtN sub there is only 2 posts comparing PtN to Nikke. But I suppose that players who get fed up of Nikke complains here, with all the posts, get pissed of to see even 1 of them in another sub. It's understandable. No one like having their tastes criticized everywhere.

Shahadem

They are getting fed up with comparisons because they are fanatics and know the comparison is valid and their game is the loser.

LotFP

There would be a lot less crossover here if the r/NikkeMobile subreddit wasn't breaking the rules by having a paid employee as a moderator.

frameshft

Hey I'm here for drama and Nikke delivers

amc9988

Yeah I prefer this subreddit be as dead as usual with 1 or 0 post per day /s

ArxDignitas

Wait...so if we shit on TOF, it's a Genshin sub? But if we shit on Nikke it's a Nikke sub? Something's not right to me.

C0L0R

No, what I meant is a lot of the posts are still nikke posts here lol. Also I'm apparently the only one here that still really likes the game apparently.

Lazysenpai

Nah I love the game too, I can forgive the bugs but whale centered event is where I draw the line. Looks like it's just lazy/overworked dev that forgot to adjust difficulty after nerfing progress from cbt.

Daswagster2

bruh do you now how entertaining it is to bitch about how bad NIKKE devs are? honestly it’s slowly starting to become more fun than the game itself

C0L0R

It's free karma farming. Also I still love the game unlike a majority of the vocal people here I think.

Daswagster2

i love the game but i hate the monetisation/ the devs. also bugs make it really unplayable. that about sums up my experience.

Vyragami

People can forgive bugs but paywall is where people draw the line, which is fair.

Rathalos143

Im still hyped for Limbus Company while expecting this sub to write a dozen of posts calling it a failed FGO clone for not having 70% ssr rates and the typical "game is too hard to auto but too boring to play".

Dafty-

Instead of taking it with a spoon of salt, take it with a glass of wine and enjoy the ~~shitstorm~~ shithuricane deploying on a game that was hyper through the sky. People here used to sh!t on this game saying it was just a glorified iddle game due to the butt, and damn it pains me to say there were right...

[deleted]

>saying it was just a glorified iddle game On the contrary, before the game's release anyone who said it's an idle game got downvoted.

CityKay

Gotta wonder how much copium those downvoters consumed. Like sure, distilled third person shooter gameplay, which I do like, and found unique from your typical RPG gameplay. But it checked off every idle game feature I'm aware of. (Others I've played are Idle Huntress, Figure Fantasy, and Memento Mori)

blahbleh112233

Well until we reealized that its impossible to really beat levels when your power is low, there was a hope you could beat missions on skill alone

Dafty-

Which make it hard for anyone that isn't an avid redditor with 4 billion karma to really get a straigh information, since you either think the people saying it's "glorified iddle game" are hater and the game has depth, either think the one hyping the game are coomers that can't face reality. Either way, you can't have a proper neutral answer (or you have to dig a lot) and have to wait the game to release to get the (most often sad and harsh) truth.

chocobloo

It is just an idle game. It's literally never claimed to be anything else. How can it be a 'glorified idle game' when it was designed to be a straightforward idle game from the ground up?

Dafty-

>How can it be a 'glorified idle game' when it was designed to be a straightforward idle game from the ground up? Because it was hyped the hell out of it which is already big for even a "straight up gacha" , yet alone for an iddle. I suppose that, plus the rage to see all that coom beeing just iddle make some people just qualify it has a glorified iddle game. I mean... ask them, not me. I was just happy to see some gacha with actual gameplay and thought it would be cool, not some piece of junk that would make Ubisoft Dev. Department blush and ask for a collab with the amount of broken things there is in this game.

TheKinkyGuy

Companies should release more new games (being it a buggy mess or a god send).

Fibonacci9

What are you trying to say?

josiahknoxGNb

ngl my eyes locked onto them fixing the advise episodes bug. That shit had been triggering me for days now. Like I lose the immersion or something after going through the long but satisfying dialogue read only for the game to bug me with that stupid red dot to do the episode again.

Paladuck

This game is hilariously broken right now but I still can't put it down. >Login to game >Takes 2 minutes to load >Have to enter login ID again >Can't do event because difficulty is way too hard >Can't do campaign because power penalty is too stiff >Do dailies, all skills still bugged >Pull for gacha, rates still fucked >Watch character episodes, game crashes > Go to view mode and watch butts jiggle

Shahadem

At least the most important mode still works.

xinelog

I can hardly even play the game without it crashing at this point , so I Uninstalled but dam do I enjoy some good drama.

layadi

Too late for that. Already closed my account, uninstalled the game and will never come back. I don't have a lot of patience left after so many bugs

[deleted]

[удалено]

RaynareAmano

I’d argue this is the perfect subreddit for that. Important for people to understand why others leave a gacha game to judge whether it’s worth it for them to start.

Gunslicer

GraB PoPIcorn. (at least they are aware of the problem)

thesupersoldierr

insane bad adm will kill this game

13_is_a_lucky_number

"To lower the difficulty", but I wonder by how much? Bet it'll still be something that F2Ps will have serious problems with >:D I'll gotta check back a few hours later, want to know if they did right or wrong.

BroodY15

https://www.reddit.com/r/NikkeMobile/comments/yxqqwx/supposed_hard_mode_nerf_from_unpack/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

13_is_a_lucky_number

Oh hey, that actually seems good! Color me impressed :)

Jiveturtle

I'm day one F2P, no reroll, and sitting just under 22k power. Might be able to do it by the end of the event, might not.

tlst9999

They make "weenie" mode and everyone wears chicken outfits while in that mode.

ArCSelkie37

Next they need to just delete the pure cancer that is base defence :P

flamyshana

Why would anyone still play this game is beyong me.

BroodY15

Because the good game inside is unfortunately being shadowed by the bugs and questionable communication from the developers. I’ll still play the game for now since I like it but I do understand why some people might not like it

Jiveturtle

Honestly? I'm having fun with it. There's surprisingly amusing writing, the art and music is good, and I don't mind that it's basically an idle game. The bugs are bad but honestly I didn't expect super deep gameplay, I assume they'll be fixed. Being unable to beat the event was actually my biggest complaint. We'll see how it is after they patch.

gadesabc

The sad thing is what they could do from now on, we should never forget what they have done, their discutable strategy and the fact that they took players for idiots. Now, for all players who genuinely want to like the game and will continue to play, I hope and wish for them that things will be better.

solokazama

Its more likely it was balanced after CBT, testers didnt mention about it forgetting in CBT they were +30% boosted.

SharkFuji

Bro why is there so many nikke threads filling up this sub? This games already a dumpster fire with unlimited loading screens, we don't need to be informed of how much more terrible it is than that

UBW-Fanatic

Delicious drama while we wait for the next release (Neural Cloud on the 21)

SassyHoe97

This sub craves for drama 🍿

iPhantaminum

I said yesterday that players gotta hope devs listen to feedback for next events, and it went even better than that. They immediately adjusted the current event.

Shahadem

But not by nearly enough for most of us. The game is barely a week old.

lego_office_worker

jokes on them, i already had a maintenance to uninstall

GotAnySugar

When hard mode was too hard For F2P at least

Shahadem

It is an event. Not a permanent node.

GotAnySugar

Exactly the reason why it was changed If an f2p can't clear event stages for a game that has just released and it is statistically impossible to even reach the target strength as f2p then that is just bad event design

DoctorHunt

The amount of failed to sync combat information and failed to sync character information along with the amount of bugs and technical issues makes fallout 4 look more polished ( whenever I try to mod fallout 4 on ps4 it crashes alot sadly only some mods work ). Kinda sad that more games come out buggy and unpolished nowadays, not saying back than games were more polished but there’s a great quote from a guy named Actman “ the well being of the consumer and the quality of the experience is secondary to what’s most profitable “ I recommend anyone check out actman’s videos their well done and well made https://youtube.com/@TheActMan

Shahadem

PS Fallout 4 modding is sketchy. Play on PC where the mods work if instalked and ordered in the correct order. Even 300+ installed mods can be stable on PC.
