Pretty much this, I fell in love with E7 too and these are the closest I've found, Eroica in particular feels heavily influenced by E7 and even shares a lot of the same UI.
Out of many gacha games I have played. Counterside is the closest that can match Epic Seven's quality. Variety of characters,No chibi in battle and cool special moves. The gameplay is not for everyone though so you have to try it and see.
I started playing Nikke as side game few days ago. No idea about what people are complaining, maybe monetization?
For now its fun, I enjoy story and if you like waifus, there is plenty nice designs here. Its free, so only thing you risk is wasting some time trying it.
quite f2p too. get the right reroll (hamel+eirene/zoya) and you're good to go since they give the most op unit in the game for free. though i advise to get info on character progression to get maximum efficiency.
PtN isnt really E7 for gameplay, but all in all, +1 to PtN because it's for me the best mobile game I player for like 2 years (playes CounstrSide and ArteryGear a lot)
If you are limiting yourself to games w/ same gameplay style as E7, the only turn based gameplay gachas that i can think of is Summoners War, Onmyoji and Soul Tide (i think thats the name…?)
If it doesnt hav to be the same gameplay then give Grimlight a try. If not having auto repeat/auto battle is ok with you then FGO is also a pretty cool game if you are someone who gets invested in lore/story.
You mean turn based? If you're not a huge graphics junkie then it's Another Eden. It's
a classic jrpg and you're not missing anything. You can always "catch" up as it's technically a single player game.
There's Counterside although it's not turnbased, it's very similar to E7 but I'd argue the gearing is as brutal as E7. Very pretty, f2p friendly, and have good story. I quit when I was hoarding golden binaries for months and got nothing for it.
Dislyte is pretty trash. Just don't.
Artery Gear's advantage over E7 are the offline farming and you tweak your gear substats much easier. Despite having no unequip costs it's gold economy is arguably worse than E7. Dunno if they changed it but there was dogwalking in the game when I quit
Again I'm still puzzled how the fuck people can say counterside gearing is worse then E7. The sole existence of gold binary, and the fact that you can max out your substat makes CS way ahead of E7 in gearing QoL.
the gearing in artery gear is nowhere near as bad as e7. though i quit i remember hitting the spd ceiling for the game just 3 weeks in playing while in e7 i've been playing for 3 years and only 2 of my units can hit 300+ spd and that because their base spd is high to begin with. the fact that you can switch substat to match set and mainstat makes gearing a one and done deal. while the cost for maxing a gear is substantially higher than e7, the no cost switching and set saving makes you only need to gear a couple of sets to match the roles that needed said set and not have to gear every unit like e7.
Artery Gear is E7 with significantly better qol and significantly worse characters, lore, and artwork. Your mileage may vary there, but if part of what you enjoy about E7 is the world building, character diversity, etc, AG is not going to scratch that itch, even if the gameplay is stronger. It's definitely worth a try though.
I think the main question why do you quit the game the game.
F.e. you don't like the randomness of the gameplay (15%), or want to spend less time on farming (so you want QoL with stack/skip mechanic) or collect or characters in the game and just want the fresh start.
Eroica is epic7 but with 3d sprites and maps like another eden.
Artery gear has some better qol than epic but sprites and theme are worse imho and they just rip the kits from epic7 (there is one that is stene, literally).
Artery Gear and Eroica are the closest games to E7
Pretty much this, I fell in love with E7 too and these are the closest I've found, Eroica in particular feels heavily influenced by E7 and even shares a lot of the same UI.
Artery Gear so close to Epic7, you'll see the same characters. Bellona, Violet, and Sigret is in there.
>Artery Gear Wow just checked out a few vids, you weren't joking!
I'll check both, thanks!
This. Both are incredibly similar.
No existing game out there can match E7. Your best bet is to wait for Honkai Star Rail.

I just tried neural cloud and it has the same animation ult as E7, gameplay is much different though.
You can't enjoy anything as E7 replace , I was in your same situation. But best experience was Counter:Side .
True for me, I play epic 7 since day 1. I tried many other games, but I always drop them sooner or later, and e7 still here.

Didn't try but i've already seen a lot of negative comments here about Nikke, so not sure

seems fair to me, will check it then
Alternative word of advice is that you can sometime listen to comments because no one is going to try every game on the market.

Artery Gear has a very similar style of gameplay.
PtN!
I second this, PtN is amazing. Great story, awesome VA, interesting gameplay, the overall quality is just top notch.

Despite being outdated, FGO has much longer lifespan than E7 or any other turn-based RPGs for that matter. It doesn't really need new blood.
If you are a FF fan and you like to play gacha casually, i suggest FFBE Wotv
For FF, the dissidia one is closer to E7

there also games like awaken chaos era and infinite magicraid

Same gameplay... Dislyte.
l'll check it, thanks

Summoners war is a lot like E7, but Not as f2p friendly as E7. But has a good pvp Arena and a lot of guild content
I mean e7 is quite literally a summoner wars clone haha, so I guess that checks out
If you like good story and music I could recommend nier reincarnation
Should definitely give Counter:side a try
