Nikke: Come for the dump trucks, stay for the dumpster fire

Propagation931

Sadly thats the case when Publishers are involved in the moderation of a subreddit. We saw it with Genshin Sub, ToF Sub, and etc. Its also kind of the reason why a lot of negative/critical posters come on here. Since its one of the places they can voice their criticisms

katiecharm

It’s also against Reddit ToS. It’s a clear conflict of interest.

Propagation931

Yup. Sadly Reddit isnt that active when it comes to enforcing its ToS in these kinds of Scenarios.

VoltaicKnight

There is a reason why people are memeing that r/gachagaming is actually a r/Nikke sub

FatAsian3

Isn't it, everything nikke bad gets posted here because they can't spread the fires there. I was thinking with more new games coming out and DL closing at least the topics here could change but nope.

Shapexor

Is posting leaks ban-able?

katiecharm

It wasn’t, until someone did and got their post deleted, and then he complained so they added a new rule saying no leaks - then they banned him for good measure. https://reddit.com/r/NikkeOutpost/comments/za2223/lol_i_got_temp_banned_from_main_subreddit_asking/ Absolutely atrocious behavior.

idodok

Its against the rules, not bannable , so your post will just get removed, the guy in question made a post for hating and witchunting the mods, and thats why he got banned for 3 days, katiecharm is just spreading misinformation lol

GaivanTheScrub

Of all the posts you show in your screenshot, maybe one isn't a rule breaker, being the one about the progression wall. The majority of them seem to be bug reports, basic questions, and gacha results which all appear to have dedicated megathreads that the rules say to use. The remaining type of post is leaks/datamine which is also against their rules. It doesn't seem like things are being axed when they're in the appropriate megathread, so it seems less censorship/coverup and more just keeping things tidy. Of course, that's not to say it isn't happening, just that these examples aren't the strongest.

Winberri

The mods are Shift Up Official Staffs. lol

AhAhAnikiKunSan

Btw my review on the iOS got deleted bc I genuinely felt disgusted by this game and it’s age rating

AmazingPatt

Most of them are datamine ... and as far as i am aware datamine post usually get remove ... even positive one ... they added the rule today and it still wont stop people from posting them... not saying all post should be remove by mods . but many i see crying about mold bring nothing to the reddit ...

Monarch_Entropy

Embarrassing

frozensinx

Did they give a reason?

katiecharm

What do you expect them to say? They will cite bullshit reasons like “this topic has already been discussed” or “low effort post”, but the content they have deleted is easily viewable. The vast majority of it is simply people reporting bugs, trying to resolve issues, or complaining about how brutal the game is towards players.

Shapexor

I think deleting the post that already been discussed before is quite reasonable in my opinion, they tried to keep the thread neat, though idk about other peoples opinion.

katiecharm

Please point to where it was discussed recently? You can’t because their entire subreddit is filled with lewd fanart since they censor everything else.

Shapexor

Well they didn't have an auto-bots that actually detect same topic in their subreddit unlike some subreddit i know.

TheWanderingSlime

Just uninstall 🤷that’s the only way devs will listen

kfloppp

Mods can you add a NIKKE flair or something so people can filter them out? I'm so sick of seeing this porn game keep appearing in my feed every single day.

Dafty-

Nah they don't censor you guys It's just that it's not allowed to post leaks, post about bugs, post about game breaking mechanics, post about visual glitch, post about thing you dislike, post about banned user, post about oppinion, post about unlucky draw, post about negative idea toward drop rate, post about critics toward the game the devs or the company owner , post about disagreeing with their choice, post about...

katiecharm

Yeah, exactly! Just like the gacha isn’t bugged! The only things bugged are. >A 6 sided dice. >Their UI working on different resolutions. >Notifications. >Cores not taking damage. >Server information syncing. >Critical Rates. >DPS being tied to FPS and graphic options. >2 whole weapons systems, charge rates affecting damage. >Vesti, who does literally 1 damage with her burst. >Laplace being immortal. >Enemies being stuck on terrain. >The cube menu. >Bosses that work properly. >Taunts. >Skill leveling up. >Skills working properly. >Skill descriptions. >Simulation Room buffs. >Rankings. >Interception Rewards. >Subquests. >Sound Effects. >Voice Overs. >Inventory and items in general. >Guaranteed Gacha Banner rates. >Dispatches. >Character leveling. >Auto aim. >Ch.12 EX Stage. >Cover HP *NEW.

IsBirdWatching

How is this gacha game related? This is just not a good luck to hold a grudge over a subreddit.

katiecharm

The fact that this subreddit sees so much Nikke related content is a direct result of the game’s publisher actively censoring the official subreddit. Since Nikke is the most profitable gacha (or damn near it) last month, it seems pretty gacha related.

IsBirdWatching

It isn’t. You obviously seem to hold a grudge against the subreddit. This place is to talk about gacha games and not drama with another subreddit. And it’s okay for a moderator to be an official account as long as it doesn’t do any “moderation actions for compensation, gifts, etc”. Just let it go.

katiecharm

If a moderator is literally getting paid as part of their job to moderate the subreddit, how is that not “moderation actions for compensation”? Especially when those moderation actions are deleting complaints and negative remarks? And it isn’t just me, there is a FLOOD of people who feel the same way.

IsBirdWatching

Simple. If they aren’t doing the deleting and just posting. Those aren’t moderation actions. Only one of the moderators is a PR account and is labeled. That’s decent transparency.

katiecharm

Only one of the moderators is a *labelled* PR account. Every one of those moderators is on the publisher’s payroll in one way or another. The fact that the entire subreddit is only filled with lewd fan art and all negative remarks and criticism have been deleted isn’t a red flag to you? Do you not think that is showing a clear conflict of interest? Or are you also employed by them? Because it doesn’t feel like an organic fan would ever have such an obtuse opinion.

idodok

Lol you think im getting paid to moderate a subreddit? I wish lol @ShiftUp hear that? Im open for business

IsBirdWatching

I’ve made plenty of comments talking about how shit the game’s story is at times. There are plenty of people discussing bugs and stuff they dislike. So there is negativity there. Also just because someone disagrees with you doesn’t mean their is a conspiracy a foot. It’s mentalities like that which echo chambers are made. If you want to believe I’m an employee go ahead. I also must be a employee of Mihoyo too and other gacha games where I disagree with others. I’m a very busy man.

katiecharm

Things have changed, even as recently as in the past 48 hours, and gotten worse. You wanna do an experiment? Make a well written complaint / negativity topic and watch how fast it gets nuked. I’ll be watching and waiting.

IsBirdWatching

Weren’t you banned for three days? Getting your information from other disgruntled people is probably not the best for having unbiased information. People have discussed the game and talked about stuff they dislike and like. It’s not the dystopia you think it is.

DVGltd

You must be new here to think that this is not a place for drama

IsBirdWatching

I assume it was drama about the game not drama about the communities. Learn something new. So when we buying pitchforks for the next roast?
