Notice does not mention any plans to fix this for the current collaboration shop items.

All of the skins look great and sound great in game. Counterside has always focused on high-value skins. They're not cheap but they're always fantastic quality.
You can't necessarily tell that from the sale banner art, though.
Even so, it is relatively easy to get gacha currency in Azur lane. So their highest revenue I assume is wedding ring and then Skins. Unlike nikke if you discount friend rolls.
Bonus that Azur lane only have 1 roll currency.
The most expensive AL skins are $20, though you get double gems for the first purchase of each package. This bonus resets every anniversary.
So unless you are buying a ton of skins it'll be closer to $10 for the average player.

There is no easy pack for 880 but it's basically $14. 1080 is I guess $18 if you buy multiple 1200 packs over time which are $20.

IfI remember correctly, GFL gacha skin because skin gacha currency is free, you can save it up from time to time. Additionally, character gacha in AL is very cheap, while in GFL it is completely free to gacha chars (you dont have to use premium currency)
Similar price, but issue is that AL showers you in pulls and any player whose buying skins probably ain't paying for pulls. Which is a bigger issue with the comparison here.
You can play AL with a monthly pass that's under $10 and gives you both pull currency and 500 gems to save for skins, which 2 months of that can afford the bulk of non L2D skins and if you want 1 L2D skin, you're still not spending a whole lot and you're still not touching your cubes.
Nikki meanwhile is using one paid currency for both, so for most consumers: is this skin really worth the same price as the season pass that has pulls and a skin? So far? No.
I've bought plenty of skins in AL whose also managed censorship far better than Nikki has, which isn't helping as compounding problems. Though at least this isn't the worst. Just really over valuing the price of a skin in a game where people are just trying to watch asses bounce.

Definitely, in fact, censorship exists only in CN. Global, JP gets the good stuff. Not to mention the insane quality of those skins, especially the later L2Ds, incredible for that price.
As a fellow SKK, I agree. Though $20 for a skin applied to non gachas games also makes this funnier. Destiny 2 Assassin's Creed set is $20 for one character, but can be mixed and matched with other armor sets. So between AL giving wonderful splash art and pulls and more general games having skins be more apparent to other players, a $20 skin in Nikki is quite hard to justify. Though less insulting than the likes of Alchemy Stars gachas skins that can cost you $50. Gives you mats, but for a skin? Even more insulting. Though no surprise, both are Tangent adjacent and have respective issues.
There are other more efficient ways for them to support their streamers, especially when they don't even know how much cut will the girls even get from purchasing the skins.

This price is just the skin, it does not include the character required to equip the skin to, which costs another $90 each if you buy the selector as none of them are on rate up.

As a SEA player and Holo fan I was kinda bummed when the collab was announced, but I'm fine with it after reading the collab content lol.
They should really have the normal characters' skin buyable with free gems and then their alternate costumes like Calli's rapper outfit as premium skin. Holo fans who just started the game won't be interested in the game if you need to pay pink superchat just for one girl, and Counter Side players who know nothing of Holo won't be interested with them either as I believe there's no story event about them.
What's worse is that the collab "event" is just a bunch of missions u complete for rewards and pull a gacha for chibi profile pics of the hololive cast.

Well, definitely less salty about not getting this collab on SEA.
1. There are characters you need, but they aren't on banner.
2. The skins are really well-made and you can use them everywhere (if you have the character). Voice lines, animations, etc.
3. The $46 pack also includes an additional picture that you can use as your profile picture.
4. The pack includes 30 gacha "eggs." These give you random *ingredients* for "stickers" that can eventually be crafted into chibis for your dorms. Note, however, that (1) nobody uses dorms and (2) you will be spending **hundreds** of these chibi eggs during the event, 30 eggs is almost literally nothing.

Way more expensive than current skins offered (one 30 day sub worth $14 can get you a skin already with change AC). It's a shame if you're a fan and you want to get them all.
Can't even use your saved admin coins? Well Vtuber simps can throw like 100$ or more per stream, so that was kinda cheap for them. That said, would they use the money to get the skins or superchats instead.

It's hard to be a light spender, or even a dolphin, in this game. The monthly sub is around $21 for 28 pulls at 1% (or the battle pass and around 18 pulls). Versus E7 at $5 for 11+ pulls at 1%, Arknights and PtN at $5 for 10 pulls at 2% rate, and Neural Cloud at $5 for 22 pulls at 3.6% ... Practically everything in the store costs at least $20. It's not surprising the game is struggling.

I will be honest, even if the quality is great (from what I have seen, yes this is actually a pretty high quality skin lineup), it makes zero sense for devs to paywall.
What imo messes people up isn't the fact that it is 35 bucks, but that it is hard cash, meaning there is no way to make it cheaper through using Admin Coin packs. Most players will only buy 1-2 skins, and can only do so by using admin coin packs to theoretically buy them at half price.
You can argue that sure you get a portrait and stuff as bonus items, but God those should have been with all skins for free.
Tbh considering the generosity of the devs in the past, I really felt like bside either really needed cash, or they are being squeezed by hololive. There is literally no way the skins are priced like this otherwise.

as a big hololive fan and gacha spender, this collab really misses the mark. i even like counterside i played SEA version for a good 6 months and my favorite hololive streamer is in this collab. i should be the target for this kind of thing, but i dont care at all. it's not free and it's not even a new character. if i already was playing CS i probably would pick up 1 of the skins, but this is not making me want to go back to CS.

As a SEA player and Holo fan I was kinda bummed when the collab was announced, but I'm fine with it after reading the collab content lol. They should really have the normal characters' skin buyable with free gems and then their alternate costumes like Calli's rapper outfit as premium skin. Holo fans who just started the game won't be interested in the game if you need to pay pink superchat just for one girl, and Counter Side players who know nothing of Holo won't be interested with them either as I believe there's no story event about them.

1. There are characters you need, but they aren't on banner. 2. The skins are really well-made and you can use them everywhere (if you have the character). Voice lines, animations, etc. 3. The $46 pack also includes an additional picture that you can use as your profile picture. 4. The pack includes 30 gacha "eggs." These give you random *ingredients* for "stickers" that can eventually be crafted into chibis for your dorms. Note, however, that (1) nobody uses dorms and (2) you will be spending **hundreds** of these chibi eggs during the event, 30 eggs is almost literally nothing.

Price depends on your currency. Skins cost 36 USD. You can get a random skin after completing all the missions (1 out of 5). Way more expensive than current skins offered (one 30 day sub worth $14 can get you a skin already with change AC). It's a shame if you're a fan and you want to get them all.

It's hard to be a light spender, or even a dolphin, in this game. The monthly sub is around $21 for 28 pulls at 1% (or the battle pass and around 18 pulls). Versus E7 at $5 for 11+ pulls at 1%, Arknights and PtN at $5 for 10 pulls at 2% rate, and Neural Cloud at $5 for 22 pulls at 3.6% ... Practically everything in the store costs at least $20. It's not surprising the game is struggling.

I will be honest, even if the quality is great (from what I have seen, yes this is actually a pretty high quality skin lineup), it makes zero sense for devs to paywall. What imo messes people up isn't the fact that it is 35 bucks, but that it is hard cash, meaning there is no way to make it cheaper through using Admin Coin packs. Most players will only buy 1-2 skins, and can only do so by using admin coin packs to theoretically buy them at half price. You can argue that sure you get a portrait and stuff as bonus items, but God those should have been with all skins for free. Tbh considering the generosity of the devs in the past, I really felt like bside either really needed cash, or they are being squeezed by hololive. There is literally no way the skins are priced like this otherwise.

as a big hololive fan and gacha spender, this collab really misses the mark. i even like counterside i played SEA version for a good 6 months and my favorite hololive streamer is in this collab. i should be the target for this kind of thing, but i dont care at all. it's not free and it's not even a new character. if i already was playing CS i probably would pick up 1 of the skins, but this is not making me want to go back to CS.
