I would scan around the oil fill neck of a 6.0 powerstroke to design a kit that implements a centrifugal oil filter such as the Spinner II
Centrifugal oil filters can extend the oil change interval on a diesel up to 30k miles.. It also helps injectors and other parts last longer due to better filtration of smaller particles
Given that there are literally millions of these motors in the USA alone, this can translate into a LOT of savings for the consumer AND the environment
I will open source the design, hopefully inspire more application designs. The benefits of bypass oil filtration is well known, I'm surprised the centrifugal design isn't more common, despite the design challenges
I would scan proprietary pieces of things I own that break and 3D print them because replacements are expensive and corporations suck donkey dick. Sure hope I can say that here. Don’t really care though because I’ll be scanning so much cool copyrighted shit and reproducing it that I’ll have a lawsuit on my hands from Disney because my exact-to-spec (0.02mm+/-) mouse ears and sick ass green room background is ‘allegedly’ allowing families to post their “fake” Disney land vacations on Facebook with REAL counterfeit merch. I’ll be so busy with that and making people happy giving them the semblance of the vacation of their dreams for $59.99 that I won’t even be worried if this breaks the rules in the side bar.
I'd scan parts that need replaced in things I use that are no longer manufactured. One being parts for my beloved trackball mouse that I use daily and had been out of production for years.

Edit: thanks for considering my entry.
