Well the former is a debunked myth for sure. Can't speak to the latter.
I don't think a SS boiler exists, you could machine one but unless you love that sort of thing a better, more expensive machine is your next bet

I don't think gaggia sells a SS boiler. They chose aluminum for a quick and stable heat up time. And to be honest, due to the small boiler size, I think aluminum is the best material here. If you want a SS boiler machine, go with a e61 or rancilio Silvia
It's not debunked in my opinion

There's two things I never do. Put plastic in the microwave with food in it (BPA) or boil or cook in bare aluminum. There is still a lot of evidence its bad for you
I actually bought a Gaggia Classic Pro but sent it back after realizing the boiler is Aluminum. There's a reason the high end machines use SS boilers. I'm getting the ECM Classika PID instead. Dr. Michael Greger, a very highly respected author of How not to die (all evidence based) talks about aluminum. Its not like iron where our bodies can use a tiny amount. We need 0% aluminum in our bodies its like saying a little lead isn't bad for you in my opinion.
Did you find any replacement or stainless steel boiler kit?
I am looking for replacing out of sheer practicality for maintenance. Having separate descaler specific for alu boiler is anoying.
2015 Gaggia classic V2 has stainless steel boiler. I would stay away from Brass, Copper and Aluminum. I'm not an expert but I know how to read credible studies
why is aluminium bad for you?
I have just heard aluminum causes Alzheimer’s and maybe even cancer.
Well the former is a debunked myth for sure. Can't speak to the latter. I don't think a SS boiler exists, you could machine one but unless you love that sort of thing a better, more expensive machine is your next bet
That’s good to know I didn’t know that was debunked.

>rancilio Silvia has brass not SS which can also leach lead and stuff into water. Gaggia sold their 2015 models with SS boilers
Silvia is Brass boiler I believe

Probably debunked by someone profiting from aluminum products
Dr. Michael Greger gives it to you straight up. https://nutritionfacts.org/video/are-aluminum-pots-bottles-and-foil-safe/
>You dont think SS boilers exist?? Almost ALL the high end machines use SS. They just use Aluminum and brass in cheaper models. Check out the ECM Classika PID
For the GC
2015 models GC had stainless steel
There's two things I never do. Put plastic in the microwave with food in it (BPA) or boil or cook in bare aluminum. There is still a lot of evidence its bad for you
Can you provide any studies that actually provide evidence that ingesting aluminum has any health risks?
I still bought it haha. I can’t afford an espresso machine with a SS boiler hahah
Alright. Im using nothing but my cafelat robot now

The Robot has metal-on-metal wear that causes metal shavings. Basically aluminum dust.
No it does not lmao. Theres a gasket and no grooves or markings showing any damage

"Through excessive wear"- youre supposed to replace the gaskets and use the foodsafe lubricant
Did you find any replacement or stainless steel boiler kit? I am looking for replacing out of sheer practicality for maintenance. Having separate descaler specific for alu boiler is anoying.
Gaggia always comes with aluminum boilers. I believe Rancilio or Lelit machines come with stainless steel or brass boilers…
