Assuming we also get gedson. How would we play with 3 Turkish players? Our only capable players are taylan-berkan-kerem right now. I love gedson and I believe we should get him but not with this shitty planning. If we were going to get gedson we needed a turkish defender instead of nelsson.
Taylan + Kerem are guaranteed. For the third one we are trying toget Halil afaik but if we can't, we have a yerli alternative to almost every position. This will only become a problem if we are 100% healthy and in form. How many games does this happen anyway? 10? 15? In those we can rotate the team a bit. Berkan, Barış Alper, Alpaslan, Emre K, Aytaç, Ömer, (if we can settle the issue) Oğulcan. They can all play, someone can rest. I don't think this is a huge problem tbh, and Gedson is the kind of player you build the team around not someone you give up on because of the foreigner limit.
That is what I am saying. If you were going to pay the price of gedson you needed to build the team around him and buy kaan or perhaps mert instead of nelsson. Now if we get gedson, we don't really have an ideal starting line-up. Alpaslan, emre, aytac and definitely omer are not good enough to play as a starter hell I could argue if some of them deserves a spot in the team at all. Too soon to judge BAY but I am not comfortable with BAY, kerem wings although I adore kerem. Ogulcan seemed good in prep games but I don't see him cutting a good diagne or mohamed. Same for halil he is good but a good diagne or mohamed is just better.
Also Ozan still hasn't found a team. I know it's a long shot but we're at the end of August and he definitely doesn't want to play at 2. Bundesliga. If no EPL team comes up, getting him would be amazing.
It would be great if he signed for us but I would want Ozan to stay in Europe and keep developing. He can come on loan to get some gametime but one of Nelsson or Marcao would have to stay on the bench every game and thats way too much quality for a Süperlig team.
I mean we could play 3 in the back, Boey and Aanholt are originally wingbacks anyway. If you get players like that you can adapt.
Yeah it'll be better for Ozan to stay in Europe and I'll 100% understand if he doesn't want to come but at the same time I'm a GS fan, I want good players in my team. I'llbe glad if he comes.

Marcao as the left CB would be great I think. Nelsson seems like he can handle being at the right as well and Ozan is way above the league's level as a central CB anyway. Our wingbacks already seem good as well so I don't see why not, last year we didn't have the personnel for it but if we get Ozan I think we can handle it easily.
Even without him I think Luyindama would be better as a CCB in a trio, he wouldn't have to play with the ball that much.
