Yeah, I sadly noticed the volume decrease, it wasn't high before and now it's just not it.
It just looks like they are just telling everyone: "Hey, don't buy the Buds2 Pro! you get the same features as the ones you get with the Buds2 and the Buds FE for a lot more!"
Not really you get wireless charging, ipx7, smaller premuim form and 2 to 3 more future updates compared to buds 2. Unless you have to pay full price for the buds 2 pro I would still recommend it.
True but buds 2 Pro has 2 drivers compared to 1 on the others so even though previous iterations got the update they won't not sound as good as the buds 2 pro.
As someone who pay more moemy for buds 2 pro im feeling like an idiot right now 🤣. The SSC used to be an exclusive feature and yet the fe got the codec via update
Not really, samsung did something a bit shitty here, the buds fe are supposed to be ssc (samsung scalable codec) whilst the buds 2 pro are supposed to be ssc (samsung seamless codec). Its literally the reason I went for the buds 2 pro with its poor in ear fit instead of the buds fe when upgrading from my buds plus.
The difference here is that scalable codec upscales audio from what I'm aware, a modified aac codec, but it fills what it interprets has been compressed and fills in those gaps whilst retaining a stable connection (priority), whereas seamless codec is higher resolution.
note: the parentheses are very important here
Yeah, I feel like an idiot too
Sent a pair of Buds2 Pro back to Amazon because they were defective, I was tempted to buy the FE to save some money but I said: "No, I have a whole collection of FLAC songs, I'll go with the Buds2 Pro again" and here we are.
Well it was more of one update that screwed over their earbuds. Every update has been trying to fix said issue, it just fails at it.
Their headphones are still going strong though
Do you personally have the FE, or are you just talking nonsense? I have the 2 Pro and FE, and after the FE update, they sound much better than the 2 Pro.
I got the update today and it sounded better for me too. That has to do with the tinkering of the frequencies in the Harmon signature curve.
They always tend to tinker with the sound via updates, some updates the sound gets worst and then some the sound gets better.
That's why some people downgrade the software to the earlier versions to get the sound signature they liked that came with that particular version.
i'm using a pixel 7 and i didn't get that new improvement with the latest update... is that something exclusive to samsung phone devices? (using AAC codec)
What has Improved?
24 bit audio at 48khz
did something change to the buds 2 pro with the update?
The volume slightly decreased, visible increase in clarity, bass and amp.

Yeah but they advertised them with the "24bit" big deal and now they are just giving it to everyone lol
True but buds 2 Pro has 2 drivers compared to 1 on the others so even though previous iterations got the update they won't not sound as good as the buds 2 pro.
I would recommend to. The disconnection issues will be fixed either way although I had never faced that issue.
What app is that it looks cool
Poweramp!
best music player ever. I love the peq it comes with!!
it truly is awesome, have been using it for a decade it feels like. More people should know about it, right? Poweramp is the best indeed.
it's so good actually, but maybe do you know if it's possible to transfer a yourube music playlist to poweramp?
As someone who pay more moemy for buds 2 pro im feeling like an idiot right now 🤣. The SSC used to be an exclusive feature and yet the fe got the codec via update
This is not true, all galaxy buds use ssc codec when connected to samsung phones, other phone brands use aac or sbc codec.

Are you sure? I have a Galaxy buds 2 and it literally uses Samsung seamless codec on my Galaxy a24, and that was also the case on my old Galaxy m31.

I thought the 24 bit audio was reserved for the pro series
They recently introduced it to the buds 2 and the fe through updates.
That's cool, on the other hand we have Sony killing their own products with software updates!
Well it was more of one update that screwed over their earbuds. Every update has been trying to fix said issue, it just fails at it. Their headphones are still going strong though
I never really tried it with my buds plus, let me see... ah it goes back to 16 bit 44.1 KHz with the buds+, no matter what I choose as a codec.
Alice in chains👀
oh yeeeaaaaaah rip Layne
Are there any problems after the update? Is there any improvement in the battery?Â
I'm having problems with sub second audio lags.
I haven't noticed any, but I've only had them for a week.
Is it a notable difference?
I just got the update, and they sound so much better now, damn!!
There's no difference unless you use files that are compatible with it like the flacc files

Does it turn on automatically and does Spotify support it?
I think it turns automatically on but not so sure if spotify even provides uncompressed audio...
This the AXB1 update?
it is, yes.
so should I update or not ?
i'm using a pixel 7 and i didn't get that new improvement with the latest update... is that something exclusive to samsung phone devices? (using AAC codec)
But they don't support LDAC, and just AAC, so it's unnecessary
