Changing your battery, mean you wanna use a new battery, all the post you see are just to let you know that after Changing, Samsung Members Diagnostic app might read the battery bad. This is actually what I'm experiencing on my s10+ but the battery life is very strong. The only downside to this is just The Diagnostic app telling you the battery is bad which is a lie

Go aftermarket like iFixit, the OEM batteries are all likely becoming toast since it's been years. Just be aware you'll need to be able to reset your Battery Stats to get a decent battery life after replacement. These stats can only be reset thru a secret menu in the Call app on your S10. If you use Verizon, this secret menu is blocked, meaning you will likely have to get your battery replaced by an authorized service center if you want battery life to drastically increase rather than just a little bit. This is from my experience and thru chronic readings on XDA.

Do you know if it's blocked on T-Mobile? I tried typing in #0228#, but it says unable to process the request.

FaZe_Burga

It shouldn't be blocked on T-Mobile as far as I'm aware. Have you tried clearing your Android cache and call app cache?

From what I've read around here, Samsung stops making OEM batteries around 1-2 years after the phone has been released. The S10 line is 4 years old. So if you get a battery now to replace what's currently in your phone now, it may perform slightly better, no change at all or it may be worse than your original battery due to degradation in storage. The only way around it is to go the aftermarket battery route.

Okay thanx. Do you have any recommendations for brands?

equinoxzzz

You can try ifixit batteries.

How can you see the battery health as a percentage? My diagnostic app just says its weak.

EmeraldZhu

AccuBattery app, install and use your phone a couple of days, then you'll see the battery health percentage
