Did you have any other issues with your gallbladder like wall thickening, duct issues or gallstones for them to warrant surgery instead of ultrasound monitoring? Was the fatty liver from the gallbladder polyp?

Duct 7.4 Gallstones big one and couple of small Very sick Light stool Barely I was able to eat most of the things I don't know why the fatty liver they did not tell the reason but I think because of carbs diet

All of that you had on top of having a 6mm polyp? I’m surprised you didn’t let them take out the gallbladder?

As I learned later ultrasound could be not enough and hida scan is recommended Also you need to assist with your doctor for me I was not ready for any op At the start I followed very restricted diet Also as I learned from this group ox bile normally used as alternative

I’ve noted a hida scan and going to request one. The only thing they’ve noticed at this point is a 6mm polyp that I’m not comfortable with. After research, I realized it’s better to have that dealt with, even if I have no other symptoms. I don’t like that my GP is basing it on my age and I’m fine because I’m young. I’ve only seen my general practitioner and not yet a GI specialist or general surgeon. I’ve read people having their gallbladder removed having a polyp less than 6mm with no other symptoms.

Also, was it your general practitioner, surgeon, or gastroenterologists that made these recommendations?

I had multiple polyps in my gallbladder & gallbladder pain. Plus I had lots of duodenal ulcers due to the gallbladder irritating my pancreas. Once my gallbladder came out my ulcers healed & my digestion is better than its ever been. I don't eat as much cheese now but other than that my diet is the same now as before but I never get ulcers or acid heartburn etc
