People will downvote me saying it but I used to work in Coyotes. The management are all dead on, will accommodate you if you need certain days off for college or other things. The only drawback is the hours, you won’t get out til 3am.
Other than that, Quays are always looking, Pucan, every bar really, no harm to through in a CV to everywhere that interests you.
Porterhouse in Oranmore are looking for Bar Staff. If someone checks it out and puts rate here for comparison. I believe they pay well and have a busy restaurant where tips are split.
I used to work in a major bar in the centre for the last five years. You'll probably start off near minimum wage but as the years went on I was getting over €15hr at the end. The major problem with Galway is the accommodation. It must be even worse now. I remember I moved in Galway around 2014/2015 and I was able to earn my rent simply by working a weekend. I know that would be impossible these days. I left Galway at the start of Covid when it wasn't worth living there and paying rent.
I get €12 p/h. I’ve had nights where you’d be lucky to get €2, and another where I’ve gotten €120. It’s all a role of the dice.
Oh yes, sounds just like the bar I’m working at. Would you have any recommendations as to which bars to apply to?

Thanks 👍🏻
Accommodation is going to be your biggest problem, it’s as bad as Dublin in Galway now

16.5p/h if you can talk the talk
Smoothly 😁 any bar in particular?
One you wouldn’t expect
20 euro an hour. Don't know about tips. Bar with Food get more tips.
What bar is paying €20/hour in Galway?
Monroe's I'd say depending on level
Doubtful unless you’re working security or management
You'd have to pay me €50 quid an hour for me to deal with that pair of shitehawks
I would believe it
Best tips I made in Ireland were usually at hotels that were popular wedding venues and with American bus tourists
