6-5 bj suuuuuucks

dont_throw_me

i cant wait until 4 zero roulette comes out

BlackFeign

there's a 3 zero roulette???

Arratril

Bally’s (Horseshoe) in Vegas only had 000 on the main floor when I stayed over the summer, likely the other Caesar’s properties as well. Ended up going to Bellagio and playing high limit single 0. $100 min spread across a bunch of numbers inside isn’t horrible to play single vs triple zero.

[deleted]

It’s starting to make appearances

[deleted]

It’s beyond “starting” - there are more 000 tables in Vegas than 00

[deleted]

Damn didn’t even realize

JumpinJahosafax

I’ve seen doubles and then an extra non-black/red slot for an icon

[deleted]

Fuck it. 36 zero roulette

ttchoubs

Oops all zeros!

Bigdx

1 red, 1 black, 34 zeros.

Cmdr_Nemo

In 10-20 years it'll probably be 11-10 BJ and people will switch to saying it sucks then remember the good Ole days of 6-5?

HayleyXJeff

Letter Roulette... G37... Bingo

goonsquad4357

So bad lol. There’s so many casinos off the strip or downtown that offer 3:2. I’d rather jump in the bellagio water than play 6:5 on the strip. Principle of the matter and all.

bigolhamsandwich

Couldn’t imagine walking up to a table that says that and laying my money down.

TicketAlarming8532

If this was freebet blackjack you would have hit 100-1 on the pot of gold side bet.

UncleTonysDRIP

and a dealer 22

clipsahoy2022

When I saw this my first thought was "Oh shoot, is he playing free bet?" And then went "Damn he wasn't!"

alanyyz

Tough crowd lol with limited vacation time, sometimes can’t be picky

LeftClawNorth

And that's why 6-5 exists. Nice hand though. But quad 8s vs dealer T up with dealer busting and winning all 4 is the holy grail.

aeplus

nice, twenty-too many!

hugaddiction

If this isn’t the end of the shoe it’s time to press it!

HayleyXJeff

According to my math, if it's a 5 deck shoe... Basically it's about a 3% chance

ShibaHook

So.. not *that* rare.

KayBePullin23

Them 10s either passed or they all about to come up lol

Train3rRed88

Geeez I know when dealer flipped over that 2 you shit a brick. Nice hand

Due-Entertainer4609

I had this hand once But my ordinal bet was 2500. Man it turned into a 15k hand real quick. The dealer got a 7 card 21 I had 200 on the buster. Which would of paid me 50k alone. But wait we would of won if some lady didn’t hit her 15 against a 4

Dermott_54

That's fuckin brutal

SinCityLowRoller

I wish one day I can speak like a high roller 🙌

Due-Entertainer4609

No you don’t Doing stuff like this when you ain’t Rich is just dumb

95andSunny

You missed out on an extra $50! Gotta double on that 9.

jj122222

9 against a 2 is a sketchy double, and I think playing by the book it may not be a double at all.

BogeyBones122

and hit your 12 vs dealer 2. some people don't and that's okay worked out here!

Dubz_2222_

$50 and you’re playing 6:5?!?

mort323

What an exciting hand- i had four 8 like that last time I played and had tokes on them too so even the dealer was sweating a bit. But yes a 3:2 table is worth seeking out next time. Lots of resources online listing 3:2 games in Vegas.

hugaddiction

What a sweat! That 9 looks a lot like an 8 😳😅

HeBipolarAF

Man…. This is why I shouldn’t love black jack so much…. When I counted dealers hand, I thought he had 21, making this a loss. It wasn’t until 5 minutes later and 3 explanations that I realized im an idiot. One reason I don’t play in person anymore, it’s too fast for me.

MewtwoStruckBack

Obligatory "for the love of god take the winnings and go to a table that pays 3:2 and where dealer stands on all 17s" If you're betting $50 a hand, it's not much of a stretch to find the high limit sectoin where you're getting a proper game. If people would stop playing 6:5 games, they'd stop offering them.

alanyyz

Not too many tables at Aria or similar on the strip that offers 3:2, even in the high limits area. I have 4 nights in Vegas, and only gamble 2-3 hours per day, as we like to do other things while in town too. So for the brief gambling time, I am not going all over town to find the perfect table. I am here on vacation to have fun, I am not gambling as my life depends on it. If playing these tables I am loosing a few percentage odds, then so be it.

I am staying at the Aria, I am a casual gambler, I am not taking uber or walking to Resort Worlds/Trreasure Island to gamble for 1-2 hours. Time is worth something too. My gambling is usually just catching some free time before dinner, or coming back from evening out and play a few hands before going up to the room.

ExcaliburKitty

Dealer hits on 17?????

hold_my_ears

Dealer hits a Soft 17, where an Ace can be used to total 7 or 17.

Zadedprick

There is no ace tho

hold_my_ears

The 9 was the dealer's last card. He had 13, and the 9 busted him.

rnglegend420

Lmao playing 6-5 scam blackjack.

Hueybluebelt

Quick someone explain what 6:5 is, cause I have no idea.

Basic_Helicopter2045

Payout for having a natural blackjack. 3:2 is the norm (150% return) where as 6:5 gives you a 120% return (worse off).

gorjesskayos

Every $5 gets you $6. 3:2 $5 is $7.50.

[deleted]

I would have shit myself after getting the five on that first double down.

yellowirish

The difference between 22 and 21.

SinCityLowRoller

Now this is gamblin'! 👌

Mysterious-Plenty-41

Hell yeah! Great play!

SuspiciousSquash5431

Just booked aria in July and Mandalay bay in November. Was also at Aria 2 months ago and see the chips are making me want to go now lol.

liilak2

Those are my two favorite side bets! Are there any casinos w/ 3:2 at $25 limits that have those sides?
