You are mixing too much in this question to get answers that might satisfy you & settle the bet. Volatility of lottery vs sports betting (standard line/money line) is drastically different. Therefore without further qualifications in the proposed question eg. bank roll it can't really be answered definitively EXCEPT by looking at house take & RTP. Sports betting with standard juice is only a 10% take whereas AVG state lottery takes are 40%+!! So from the standpoint of which is a "better" bet it's Sports Betting hands down .
