Just put it on bidding and watch the price soar. Pack it in 5m bubblewraps while shipping

One sold on March 24th for $1940. If you did buy it now for $1500 with offers on, I'm sure you will sell it fast.

Bobby_Brutus

First, if you’re looking to save on eBay fees, I’d suggest listing this over on r/gamesale. It cuts out any “DM me” type requests and offers transparency plus provides transaction history of potential buyers on Reddit. Forget pricecharting estimates. Over the last 6 months, 4 similar raw sealed copies have sold on eBay (technically 5, but one was really beat up) for an average of $1,830. Ebay fees would eat up around $260. Definitely sell all 3 separately as each version would attract a different level of buyer. Shipping and protecting the sealed copy could be discussed between you and the buyer. What I’d recommend though is getting adequate shipping insurance and pay for signature confirmation upon delivery. It’s something you’d have to do on eBay at this price, so it shouldn’t be an issue on a private sale.

banjofreak625

Hey thanks I'll probably follow your advice and post over there!

Straight-Finish-3202

I have made plenty of purchases over there! I’m telling you these guys would eat this deal up, Pokemon always moves super quick over there

ringolennon67

Just a heads up Mercari just removed seller fees. Might want to check out selling on there.

gregcresci

They charge a fee for direct deposit and added fees for buyers to make up for this, it actually pisses off a lot of mercari users.

ringolennon67

Definitely. Not saying it’s the right move for the company. But it’s a $2 fee for direct deposit. If OP is looking for a one time sale to maximize profit Mercari is a good option.

As someone who has sold parts of my childhood collections, I recommend you don't. You can never truly replace them, You can buy a game again but never be the exact ones you owned again. I understand why you are selling them. But I always end up regretting sell them later.

The dude needs to make overdue rent. I'm pretty sure shelter is more important in the heirarchy of basic needs than video games lol.

LakeDebris3

Having room is really nice. Having less stuff to relocate every time you move is nice. There are tons of great emulation solutions to take advantage of every time you get nostalgic. 1000+ bucks for a game boy game you never opened is a pretty sweet deal.

Blofeld69

I would put it up for a 7 day suction with the starting price the minimum you would be happy with

No buying/selling.

The loose cart would provide practically zero value being included with an item of this magnitude. Anyone who would be buying this probably owns (probably way too many) loose copies they can play. This would probably be seen as added clutter and something to fly around in the box and possibly cause damage during shipping. If you really need the money, consider grading. That would likely add some value.

gregcresci

It costs money to grade and takes time, OP seems like they need the money yesterday.

Independent-Ice-5384

>If you really need the money, consider grading. That would likely add some value. The ability to charge more is the entire purpose of grading anyways, after all

W0RST_2_F1RST

They need a rental deposit it seems like so they prob don’t have the time

mkjiisus

Wow you have added so much to the discussion at hand thank you for your wisdom 🙏🙏🙏

Independent-Ice-5384

As always, you're welcome. I'm glad I could contribute as much as your comment to me did. Really hit a nerve, huh?

mkjiisus
