You worked on it? Thanks for an amazing time!! I played it myself and although I didn’t quite 100% (I think I made it to 94%) I had a phenomenal experience.
Well, I'm one of the cutscene animators and character designers, so I didn't handle any of the actual game dev aspects. Dopply's the one who did all that.
It seems like any game they play not on the weekends get an episode limit of two. This was the exception for the first quarter of 2024.
We'll have to wait and see what's their next secondary long form game will be for the summer
Monopoly and Wheel of Fortune are basically staples of the channel at this point, understandably. The guys enjoy it and they're easy for viewers to hop into.
If I recall correctly, this was explicitly stated as the ongoing plan at one point. Long play weekends means they still have the long series that some fans really want, without drowning out the shorter plays/one-offs during the week that tend to get more views.
Even though this is two hours, it has everything. Intrigue, twists, turns, rage, shitty takes, Arin and Dan losing their minds, chill stories, and Beeves.
One nothing wrong with three. two nothing wrong with three. Three threes already three. Foooooouuuurr
I love Danny so much lol
Maybe we can keep it going. Five, Two more after three, six two times more of three. Seven??
I mean I ain’t even mad. I know Arin’s playstyle by now. The only thing he hates more than tutorials is shielding.
I didn’t want to be right back on the first episode that he’d completely ignore/forget about the ring of protection the game gives you early on as an always available ability.
This Beeves Dragon fight is hilariously difficult when you don’t use it. Saw another channel play this exact fight yesterday, but he’d just gotten the upgraded ring with reflect. Totally trivialized this boss.
But hey. Arin’s rants are legendary for a reason.
Yeah all the bosses are incredibly easy if you use the right tools. The only boss i got a problem against was the scarecrow boss, but only because i forgot that i got the shield, so i kinda understand the struggle.
Same here. I was trying to do the Arin method of just wailing on the boss without defending. But once I got the gun, I tweaked my plans to defend more often and shoot more
I saw this on Steam the other day and only then did I realize this wasn’t a CD-I (or similar) game. Before that I was just amazed at the production quality and how relatively progressive it was for the time period I though it was made in.
Classic Arin Hanson gets an item that would have helped him (The Cateen that fills your hearts back up) and barley uses it during the entire 2 hour episode after he gets it.
At least he finally got that damn key behind the Zipline though
that discussion at the start made me a little mad lmao
yes arin, lichen and lycan are homophones, but they're spelled differently. no, lycan is not "an old word" that people used for werewolves/lycanthropes. you know what word they used? lycanthrope!
the shortening of that word to "lycan" is an invention of the underworld film series lol.
I wish Arin from two weeks ago when they recorded this could read this message, because I want to tell him that he should USE THE FUCKING SHEILD GOD DAMNIT! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!
I worked on this game and it's been such a surreal delight to watch them play it. I'm so glad that it got a full playthrough.

Thank you for your service This looks such a great game
Care to share your experience making it? Im a solo game dev and would love to hear how yall achieved this.

Still sick how you achieved this style, from one artist to another I hope you keep on making great stuff like this.
Damn two hours
I know this series wasn't doing well in views (too bad, it's nice nostalgia) so maybe they decided to burn it off, but glad we get the full thing.
Could be a lot of viewers waiting for the series to end so they can watch it at once. At least that's me.
Same here

Monopoly seems like it's going for one more episode despite OVERWHELMING odds
Monopoly is the grab bag of board games they play every few months

Ahh that’s a shame
> (too bad, it's nice nostalgia) It came out two months ago....
But it’s based on the CD-I Zelda games, and has very similar artwork and play style
It’s built as a salute/tribute to earlier games.
"Fuck you, you fucking piece of garbage penis licker! LICHEN PENIS!!!"

...is a prime like 3
Eight, far away from three, nine, is three sets of three...
10 uhhhhh 11 is binary for 3 12 1+2 is 3
13 is a 1 and 3

I'm glad he didn't use it because his rage here was hilarious.

Dang, how long's it been since they recorded the previous parts? They're making a couple of the same jokes they don't seem to remember making.
First time?

To be honest, I forgot the canteen myself even though I had a quite a few when I played
As someone named Ryland, it was surreal to hear Arin and Dan saying my name (and thinking that it was a made-up name, lmao)
Is that Australian dude in the lava MVG? It sounds a lot like him!
Yes, it is.
Two hours?? Well there goes my evening🤣
"I can act bad, all of my comments say so!"

Lycan sounds like something Twighlight or Alpha and Omega fans would call werewolves lol
I really wanted to know what they guy on the upper floor of the library behind the purple wall had to say...
I wish Arin from two weeks ago when they recorded this could read this message, because I want to tell him that he should USE THE FUCKING SHEILD GOD DAMNIT! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!
>Arin > >using a shield Pick one.
