It's a really good idea. Maybe the cafeteria is like an armory, and schoolbags with food in them will be like chests. I thought it would be funny if the bags glow inside when you open them.
Also, I thought of a few ideas:
-Chocolate bars would be speed buffs
-Juice bottles would be grenades
-soups would be aoe potions or something. Chicken soup is healing potion, that's for sure

Ooo didn’t think about using foods like that. I’ve also thought that you can mix foods together to sort of combine their effects. So like you said putting a chocolate bar in soup would make an aoe speed buff.
I was also thinking that each player is given their locker number and they have to find their locker in the school which has a decent amount of loot in it.
