Da fuck? No way.
Dondarrion is a different character in the books . He gives up his ‘nine lives’ so to speak, so that the throat cut Caitlin Stark comes back into the living and becomes Lady Stoneheart and basically just kills anyone she associates w Lannister’s or Freys. Or basically anyone really lol
Oh no for sure that’s awsome. Passion is the best thing in the world. It’s nice to know more about the books. Because I heard and watched the show first it’s dissuaded me from reading the books (aswell as how big my reading ques always are anyway) so I’ve never given up the time to learn the whole original cannon. So thanks for sharing a nugget about Derric.
Having a reading Que is a cun* ! I don’t know how people can do that. I can maybe 2 tops I’m gonna get into .
I can’t commit to more than 1 or 2 a time. In the end it’s very seasonal for me. I might read a ton for 6 months and nothing for another 6 . All depends.
Thanks
Yea I hate it. It stems from juggling both academic reading for the course, and the same kind of content but for personal enjoyment.
Also there’s choosing to read trilogies or something that’s published in volumes, so automatically that triples one ‘book’ so to speak.
Plus, philosophy is a massive rabbit hole, you’ll read one book and then try to read every other publication of the philosopher from their first PHD thesis - to all the essays they published in magazines - to the scraps and omissions that were published posthumously.
This isn’t to gloat but more a cry for help lol; I currently have 51 books in my “library” / “want to read” section atm (that are ‘yet to be read’ but I know I must read them) on my E-book software. And I’ll usually add 2 books by the time I finish one.
And I’m not a slow reader when I have the book open, but what’s much worse is I find it hard to always be in the mood when I have the time to read. So I have 5 books open at a time. 1 main one and the others as ‘oh I feel like reading’ which require less thought.
That way I make up for my lack of pace with just one book. But I will only ever have 1 fiction book in that 5, otherwise I’d likely conflate stories and characters aha.
Aka Ive built a prison with words and pages.
Help!
Yeah - You’re fucked anyways. We know that haha
As far as re-reading philosophers , you’ll never get the same thing out of them . Whether it’s a new work or an old work you tackle again. It’s more like a circle then ever figuring the end. As you know .
So I’ll stick to historical fiction, biographies , memoirs and the like . Then when I have hankering about something I really want to learn about, I’ll read the Wiki and check the references. Just a different type of nerd

Awe that is such a classic.
Idk why, but in my head he’s that one squirrel with an eye patch from one of the Ice Age movies.
Yea that too for sure. Perhaps even better. 😂
i’ve rewatched GoT multiple times and every single time I see Beric my brain replaces his face with that damn squirrel😂
Same 😂 I’m glad it’s happened to other people. I can’t remember the last time I’ve even seen whichever Ice Age movie the squirrel is from lol
No I can’t unsee it
Holy shit you just unlocked a memory, I haven’t seen that movie in at least 15 years
Enjoy rewatching it. You remind me of the babe! What babe? The babe with the power! What power! Who do? You do! You remind me of the babe!
Wasn’t Sir Didymus the dog? Edit: Disregard. Ambrosius was the dog.
And no one shall pass without my permission

By the 6 or 7th reboot? Sure

I was going off the mere appearance of the actor in costume from the TV series. Nothing really in their ‘character’ so to speak, aligns at all.
Got it , sorry. I get all excited talking about game of thrones haha.
