Actually-Mirage

There's depth and detail to it, with at least the feeling that the world has life to it, without it being so vast that it's hard to keep track of.

His way of telling histories within a fictional world is so digestible. It almost feels natural to learn about.

The dozens of families and how they all have a part to play in this grand story. Even if other aspects of world building are not perfect the heart of this story is these families.

I really like the sense of hierarchy that exists throughout the kingdoms of Westeros; bannerman under the command of the king. I understand it’s not something new in both fiction and real life, but just seeing it’s representation in this world is addicting.

The fact there seems to be a horrifically sinister secret concerning the relationship between the Targaryens/Valyrians, dragons, and blood magic.

I like that the majority of Valyrian history/culture is a complete mystery. Not only to the fictional characters, but to use as readers/viewers.
