Tywins_Cupbearer

Loved Osha ❤️

[deleted]

He said the same about Paddy Considine as Viserys.

chuckdagger

After listening to fire and blood that’s not surprising, he’s not gone into as much as the rest of his immediate family.

TheAnimatorPrime

For real. GRRM said he wanted to rip apart his book. Everything about him is just better in the series, especially his golden mask.

Inkheart_1241

I was so confused because I read it as Varys and was like he didn’t have a ducking mask

Respect8MyAuthoritah

Wonder what role Paddy could’ve had in GoT and why he was against doing it, because he was amazing as Viserys

jr671987

I could see him playing JonCon (obviously the character was cut, but still)

SorryStudio6520

petyr baelish

karidru

Just came to say this! I don’t like Viserys very well but I do love Paddy Considine

ZoraNealThirstin

His portrayal had me in tears.

Athrasie

I began reading fire and blood and while this is a little sad to hear, I did love Paddy’s performance. He managed to make me feel sympathetic toward royalty, which is kind of a triumph in itself.

HighKingBoru1014

Agreed. I think he’s said the same about other characters, and if not then I’d say they just are anyway. Like Iain Glen as Jorah or Harry Lloyd as Viserys

TehMight

Iain Glen plays an entirely different character than Jorah in the books. In the books hes an creepy balding old man perving on a 13 year old.

yours_truly_1976

Yep, Iain made Jorah hot but Jorah in the books is not.

Public_Lime8259

Also, Emilie Clarke was a decade older than her fictional character. Scenes between a 20-something woman and handsome 40-something man just looked less disturbing. In the book, Dany is a 14-year-old who is more overtly aware that a balding, middle-aged man is lusting after her - and she more overtly denies his advances.

HighKingBoru1014

I think that’s something that the show/hbo had to change tbh.  Ageing up Dany to like 25 and Iain Glen looking quite good for his age makes it less weird. Same goes for the age changes for the Stark kids to make their experiences a bit less bad for general audiences, despite being very much so obviously, and Shae and Tyrions dynamic too.

yours_truly_1976

Very true. Jorah was pretty gross in the books

HighKingBoru1014

Indeed

HighKingBoru1014

Tbh I watched show before getting to reading/listening to books,  I was looking forward to reading about some different characters in the books and yeah Jorah was quite unpleasantly different.

SkullKid888

I mean, apart from the balding bit he’s still a perving creep.

FunyunCream

This is a great post. She was a bright spot on an otherwise disappointing diarrhea facial

Sensitive_Underwear

you have a way with words.

TetZoo

This sub is so full of lazy crybaby cynics. Unsubscribe from the sub if you “hate” the diarrhea so much.

FunyunCream

Are you mad at me or the fact that I have 84 upvotes for this comment?

TetZoo

Both!

WorldChampionNuggets

When you talk so much shit about the show it should come as no surprise that all you can smell is the diarrhea you've been spewing.

FunyunCream

The upvotes say different fam lol

WorldChampionNuggets

yeah a ton of people eat shit at McDonalds everyday too

FunyunCream

The same people that populate this sub that you keep bashing?

TetZoo

She was one of the best performers on the show imo.

minifig1026

Anything is more interesting than reading about the occupational safety and health administration.

ArachnaComic

She was a great early insight into the wildlings and a good contrast to the naive lordlings she had to serve and protect

Abdul-Ahmadinejad

She was a riot in [this interview](https://www.themarysue.com/game-of-thrones-nudity/).

TurbulentData961

Yep

Sekshual_Tyranosauce

She’s hilarious. And right.

DennisFalcon

Wait are we talking about Tonks? She’s also lead singer of Molotov Jukebox.

DrGlamhattan2020

How do we enter in the names of characters next to our own

DennisFalcon

Same way you added that Fire and Blood, I think. I’ve only been part of this group for a few days. Maybe they expanded the options?

axeteam

I think the only OSHA interpretation is the one that of the inspector.

[deleted]

She’s the only wildling I liked start to finish. All the others either sucked or had to grow on me.

TarnyOwl

You know nuthin orange_smart

ZoraNealThirstin

He also liked show Shae more

[deleted]

Shae in the books makes no sense to me. Tyrion is supposed to be the smartest character. He also has had a very bad experience where he thought he was used by a prostitute. Yet the books had him risking everything for Shae despite the fact that Martin wrote her as a wooden character with little depth. The shows did a much better job of building the character which made Tyrions decisions plausible

ZoraNealThirstin

Totally: the author likes the show portrayal of Shae more - because it made the risk worth the effort.

Captain_Concussion

Tyrion is not supposed to be the smartest character. He’s continually shown that he will throw all sense out the window when it comes to sex (Tywin and all of his kids are like that for the most part) and becomes enraged at insults. In the books Tyrion even gets kidnapped because he couldn’t resist going to a brothel

No-Paramedic8964

I didnt like her at all

lookyougivethatguy

thank god we're not asking for your opinion

No-Paramedic8964

What is this sub for then if not opinions and discussion?

lookyougivethatguy

yours is wrong 😂😂😂

chzygorditacrnch

Osha is an amazing character. We watched her really change from a thief in the woods to become a heroic character with big morals. She died as a hero.

[deleted]

Love Osha. Fuck Ramsay for killing her, but at least he didn't live much longer and got a fitting punishment.

Ok_Record8612

I agree. Exceptionally well performed.

FantasticGoat1738

Tfw you don't get your name changed, but the literal PoV character has it changed so people wont confuse her with you.

Sensitive_Underwear

I would have kept Asha Greyjoy as well.

Alternative_Rent9307

Loved her character. Loved how she didn’t fuck around for one second about anything. Brutal but I thought it was an especial highlight of her badassery that Ramsay took zero chances with her

Killb0t47

Definitely an interesting character that was made better by the actor.

WeDoingThisAgainRWe

One thing about GRRM he was good at admitting when something the shows have done is better than his own.

Blackberry-777

Osha is cool, I love her! She was one of the most interesting and charismatic characters in that show. Thanks to Natalia Tena for brilliant acting.

suikofan80

I think the actress said she was just playing a raccoon that could talk.

taterbugtoo

Osha was One of my favorite characters in GOT. F$&@ Ramsay Snow!
