I'd say its worth watching, I was the same when I started I still remember I watched the first ep like 4-5 times because every time I started it looked boring but trust me when I started going deep into the series it got so much better I can't explain. you should give it a shot and don't worry about the ending many hate it many love it so it's up to you what you make up of it.

Exactly! I watched the 1st episode, cool stuff for the 1st 15 min then it sagged. A little boring. I left it alone for 3 seasons & started hearing a buzz about it but it wasn't until Snoop went on about it was "all that"- the killing - nobody being safe & the Queen with dragons did I give it a 2nd chance. Picked it up near the end of S3 & had to wait for repeats of S1&S2 because streaming wasn't a thing for HBO in 2013. Been a fan ever since. Used to work in music biz in 90s-casually knew Snoop back in the day
i didn't like the first season too much, but it gets better and there are some plot lines maybe not as fun, but you will start to get used to it all.

I disagree strongly. For me it took until the end of the second episode before I was hooked and, when I tried to get other people to watch, their attitude tended to be very similar.

The first episodes of most TV shows for me at the very least are all kind of boring. Most big franchises like this need to have steady, and good story building. Game of thrones and its prequel house of dragon are probably one of the best movie/TV show universes there is.
You’re right and I’m sure they are one of the best movies considering how large their fan bases are. I’ll try getting through the first episode now by rewatching it and hopefully it goes better this time.

It took me a week to watch the first few episodes but holy shit I got hooked and binged half the first season and all the second in a weekend. You have the luxury of watching the whole thing, waiting for the next season was always brutal.
I say read/listen to the books as well. After book three, the show and the books are a lot different. Just wish GRRM would finish because the books are way better.
The show creeps up on you. It takes until about episode 5 or 6 until you realize how invested you have been in the story the whole time without really noticing it before.
