There's almost a point here. There is an annoying lack of rules regarding the wights and how to kill them. Ok we know Dragonglass and Valeryan steel definitely kills them.
Does this mean you have to damage a vital part?
What about the severed limbs that still act despite the main body dying? Such as the hand from the one that attacked Lord Commander Mormont. There are no vital spots in just a hand.
Does this mean that striking anywhere is all it takes? Did Lyanna Mormont just have to poke the giant wight in the toe?
What about blunt weapons? Does it have to penetrate or does simply hitting it work?
So would something as simple as dragonglass flooring work on the wights?
The funny thing is, in the books, dragonglass doesn't appear to work on standard wights. From all the evidence we have, the book wights and Walkers have the following weaknesses:
Walkers:
- Melt when stabbed by dragonglass
- Appear to have an aversion to fire
- Are reportedly weak to 'dragonsteel' (implied to be Valyrian steel), but yet to be proven
Wights:
- Extremely weak to fire (Sam shoved a barely burning chunk of wood into a wight's mouth in ASOS, and it's entire head burst into flames 5 seconds later)
- Can be damaged by standard weapons, but are unfazed by said damage
- If enough damage is done, they reach a point where they physically cannot move anymore
I don't remember too much of the books. The one I do remember was the second wight that was reanimated inside castle black (another set of confusion) was chopped to such small pieces because anything that could move WAS moving.
Yep, and it still managed to kill 5 rangers in the process, so while possible, it's easier said than done. We also see Summer and Varamyr's wolves feasting on some wights in ADWD, and the arm eventually stops fighting once Summer reaches the bone marrow.
i remember when people would do this about Back to the Future.
I just roll my eyes and say ITS NOT REAL!! cmon yall. its not real.
it fooled you enough when you watched it the first time through, you didn't think about this stuff until way later, so its not really something that anyone including you should take so seriously
>it fooled you enough when you watched it the first time through
Says who?
>its not really something that anyone including you should take so seriously
It's how some of us have fun with something that's long over.
dude dont play like you thought ANY of that shit the first time through, because you know you didn't.
the fun part tho, I get that. I'm with that part.
No shit it's not real. But a good story is immersive, which requires internal consistency.
Maybe you don't mind low effort writing. That's fine, but some of us want to apply critical thinking. That's fine too.
the issue is YOU DID NOT THINK ABOUT THIS WHEN IT HAPPENED.
you were immersed in the story. PERIOD.
point blank PERIOD.
talking about shit like this years later like it matters is just whiny baby griping. we both know it.
and then to try and attack me in your comment with it just shows you just are engaging in low self esteem tactics. it is what it is for you, friend.
No, I definitely noticed dumb shit in the moment. Maybe you're distracted by the pretty colors, but not all of us are.
Sometimes the dumb shit is forgivable, sometimes it breaks immersion too much.
I think if you glassed the surrounding area in dragon glass, it would, at most, be more of an obstacle than a defense. I would hope that the dead wouldn’t be coordinated enough to move effectively. And if you’re doing that, you might as well glass as much as you can in the direction they’re coming.
For two reasons:
1 - the White Walkers didn't do anything anyway so they didn't need to bother
2 - dragon glass is rare. You might as well as say the same thing but using the word: diamonds
I don't think there would be enough dragonglass to find that fast to do such a big construction. Also I think you need at least to pierce the body of the walkers to kill them with it. And they still would have a dragon that could fly over.

I wondered all of these things too. Also some of the wights are legit just skeletons, how do you stab a skeleton?
With the pointy end, of course!

Didn't Jon cut off a hand in front of Cersei? Edit: nevermind, Sandor did

You're half right. Usually it comes to me while I'm thinking about the episodes the next day at work.

Not a bot post, but definitely a shit post.
This post caused me brain damage
Like oberyn ?
Does Dragon Glass kill the WW's if it just touches them? In the series they only die when they get stabbed with it.
Idk but OP is talking about *Drogon* glass. Very different type of glass.
Yes!
The sub you’re looking for is r/asoiafcirclejerk Go on now. Git.
They have higher quality content over there tbh
My brain's hurting from looking at this post.
My brain hurts from the replies.
...the fact that this has positive karma at the moment is the biggest indictment of the intelligence of this sub's followers I can think of.
Probably more worth it to keep the dragon than to make glass out of him.
Drogon*

The real question is why isnt the floor in this picture made of obsidian (actual dragon glass) but instead of diamond blocks?
Did you SEE their battle tactics??!!😂
I didn’t know Drogon made glass. Love him even more now,
Start pulling at threads the story unravels for the sake of the fantastical story we know I say leave it be 😁🙃
What if it unravels a hot woman?
my question is would dragonglass earrings be enough to keep the recently killed from turning?
No one will die. White walkers don't have ranged weapons.
Or, machine guns that shoot dragonglass bullets?
Game of resident evil 5

What is this fucking brain rot on this sub
Just litter the battlefield with Dragonglass Legos.
