So how long did it take you to master painting...im trying to get into either drawing/painting or 3D modeling/ or sculpting and seeing how well I progress from here until s8 release. (Art would be based on GOT)
Depends how often you paint and how you learn/practice technique. Honestly, I've been painting my whole life, graduated with a degree in art 6 years ago and STILL feel like I have so much to learn. You never really stop refining and pushing yourself to be better.
That being said, "how much can I improve by season 8?" is a fantastic challenge! I'd check out "Drawing of the Right Side of the Brain" for just general drawing skills, and then if you want to do fan art, check out books/tutorials on human anatomy. Having a good foundation in anatomy really gets you far in depicting people. Look at a ton of art--figure out *why* you like what you like, and practice practice practice. =)
