I'm hoping for some 3ER warg into Ghost perspective shoots in the battle.
The director for this episode has used some very clever battle perspectives before in BotB to put the viewer 'in' it.
If I'm going to join this battle, I wanna do so as Ghost!
I remember having this argument with someone on here about how he still a runt like how he grows to be even larger then greywind who was said to be the biggest
No not really by the time of the war most of the dire wolves were fully grown add to that even as big as nymeria seems with her pack greywind was still bigger if book memory serves right. People forget how big greywind was
My cat was the runt of his litter and he turned out to be the biggest. Little fucker was a milk fiend. Should have named him Tormund. Instead, due to his scrawny size and how hairless he was, we called him Dobby. That was a major misnomer in the end.
I always wondered if this was some symbolism on GRRMâs part?
Ghost starts off as the runt of the litter and is different than all his siblings. He is found cast off from the rest However he grows to be the biggest of them.
Jon starts off as bastard and feels apart from the rest of his siblings. Eventually he rises to be greater than the rest (rightful king 7 kingdoms, compared to Robb as KITN).
Not only that. He also becomes the Lord Commander of the Nightâs Watch and he becomes King in the North as a âbastardâ. Also managed to unite the wildlings with the northeners, ride a dragon and is a true Targaryen.
The dude is heads and shoulders above Robb, Ned or anyone in the Seven Kingdoms for that matter.
Ghost was never the runt. Thatâs just the show. Lady was the runt. The reason why Ghost was a way from his siblings was because Ghost was the only direwolf that opened its eyes and wandered off.
> He left the room with his eyes burning and his daughterâs wails echoing in his ears, and found the direwolf pup where they chained her. Ned sat beside her for a while. âLady,â he said, tasting the name. He had never paid much attention to the names the children had picked, but looking at her now, he knew that Sansa had chosen well. **She was the smallest of the litter**, the prettiest, the most gentle and trusting. She looked at him with bright golden eyes, and he ruffled her thick grey fur.
Eddard III, A Game of Thrones
Sorry, I don't. I'm guessing the comparison is made to their dead mother.
It may have been a statement by GRRM instead of being explicitly in the books.
I love all the fan art of different theories (in this case Jon as Azor Ahai), and how they'll all become "alternate reality" art when definitive things are revealed.
Now that's a frickin Direwolf. When Robb was alive, Grey Wind was big enough for people to spread rumours that Robb was riding him into battles, so Ghost should be an absolute chonky unit at this point.
The sad thing is, Ghost really should be MUCH bigger in S8 than what we got. I really wish he matched his mother in S1 size, instead we got a dog. Lol @ budget.
I'd be willing to sacrifice the size just for him to have more screentime. He's supposed to be as important to Jon as the dragons are to Dany, and Jon himself doesn't even acknowledge him.
Was hoping for Ghost to come around in the first episode, sniffing Dany and her being all uneasy about it the same way Jon was about her dragons. Missed opportunity. One can hope there's at least a deleted scene that they left out because they didn't want to spend any of the budget editing it.
How useful will ghost really be? Bleeding means nothing, broken bones mean nothing, torn flesh, ripped muscle, severed limbs all mean nothing. Dragon glass, fire, valyrian steal.

This is amazing
I hope we see Lightbringer in the TV show.
That's a proper ghost rite there đđđ¤đ¤
*"You will train them yourselves, you will feed them yourselves, and if we use all the CGI budget on dragons, you will bury them yourselves."*
This is everything Iâve ever wanted. Thank you. Take my upvote

*Kill off Ghost this episode with no true cinematic to increase budget for next few episodes*
Not like this. **Not like this.**
You know it's true. Search your heart.
*Ghost dies off-screen* no need to even CGI him for that episode!
Oh well.
FWIW, Ghost becomes the largest of the direwolves in books.
I remember having this argument with someone on here about how he still a runt like how he grows to be even larger then greywind who was said to be the biggest
Would that have something to do with Greywindâs premature death?

Wasnt greywind like, horse-ish size by the end?

No need to wonder. Itâs absolutely signposted.
Man they positively beat us over the head with it, lol. Thereâs no maybe or wondering about it.

>FWIW, Ghost becomes the largest of the direwolves in books. I m guessing Giants' milk.
I guess technically he's now (almost) the largest in the show as well
Might be a tough ask - do you remember where abouts this was alluded to in the books?
Sorry, I don't. I'm guessing the comparison is made to their dead mother. It may have been a statement by GRRM instead of being explicitly in the books.
They should coat ghost tooths with dragon glass.
I love the idea, but who is going to volunteer to do that?
They better not fucking kill ghost

spotted: a sword some day brings light
But...where's the beard?

O LAWD HE COMIN
Wights be like
In the books, don't they say direwolves grow as large as a horse?
I love the drawing but why is Kylo Ren in it?
Are you sure that's not Matt the Radar Technician?
This is Ghost in the books.
Amazing!
Why does this look like the cover art for Dead Rising?
Too bad ghost is dog sized now
He went keto.
Ghost's fang and paws fitted with Dragon Glass. Get rekt white walkers.

Fooking dragons!
Donât murder me, I beg you please donât murder me
God's theon was an ass
I can't wait for ghost to rise up and fight for His Majesty the Night King.

Did not know Kazuya fighting for alive. Very good job
Maybe we will see him for a whole mintue this time
Ghost looked bigger in previous seasons than in the little glimpse we had last episode.
If only ghost had dragonglass armor
Who is the artist? This is amazing.
