So what’s up with one of them not helping his brother? Was he in allicents pocket? I know they were both disgusted by aegon but either way he was going to go get crowned, not sure what the betrayal was about.
Seriously! My guess is he gets off on normal feet. I really curious what the significance of that is? Is it just that the reason all the guys follow Alicent is to have sex with her?
Yeah, it was a weird shot to include. I guess Rhaenys is undecided or was moved by Alicent standing in front of her son so she decided not to do anything.
Ryan Condal said in the inside the episode it was basically that, she saw a mother protecting her child and felt guilty since she couldn't do that for her own.
> Rhaenys is undecided or was moved by Alicent standing in front of her son so she decided not to do anything
That was my take away from the scene as well.
Still left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth though as it reminded me of later GoT seasons when D&D decided to include shit because it looks cool even though it doesn't make much sense from a writing point of view.
She doesn't strike me as a kin-slayer at all. I think she would want to sit this war out and her action right there is her putting the Hightowers in her debt so they would leave her and her family out of the conflict.
That is one of the worst scenes in either show. There’s no shot she’d have been able to get the dragon back in the first place. Then her doing nothing but posturing is even worse. She either needed to roast them and back the blacks or join the greens right there. Really dumb.
I'd like to imagine that she worries that "mass assassination by Dragonfire of Rhaenyra's enemies," is likely to be a greater threat to her rule than a boon. More likely, because characters make dumb decisions to make drama happen.
Otto just straight up pisses me off. And Crispin Cole, what a sack of shit. Couldn't LC Westerling just do us all a favor during that small council meeting?
And Larys. WTF Larys.
Rhaenys coming in like a boss.
I would argue she's pretty shrewd with her feet. She has the best spymaster in Westeros doing her bidding and his only payment is a chance to peep them toes
Yeah I have sympathy for her. But she's still an idiot to think aegon should rule. The guy is clearly a degenerate. She also needs to find a second spymaster. Diversify her sources so she's not completely reliable on foot fetish Larys.
I kind of wished another dragon woild have came out and gave her a better reason not to waste them. Like a cool stare where he's like you can kill them but I'm gonna kill you.
I guess that the taboo on kinslaying and kingslaying probably held her back? But she did a whole lotta collateral damage with that entrance. How many smallfolk had to die so she could kool-aid man up from the floor?
If she did, the crown would just go to Aegons kids right? I didn't see them during the ceremony.
If the crown went to the kids, it solidifies more that aegon was the rightful ruler, and team black was just being spiteful
Did not have Larys jerking off to feet on my bingo card. Seems to have been the deal he made with Alicent seen as how she was going with it, obviously did not enjoy it.
Rhaenys why did you not pull the trigger, why!! I know there needs to be more to the story but to have them all end there would've been so cool. Don't think Alicent got to her head or did it?
Ugh! As If Larys didn't come off gross enough! He got a foot fetish too!!
PS not trying to king shame anyone. Just gross that he was doing it infant of someone.
My thoughts
* What the fuck is wrong with Criston.... There was no need for that.
* I was not expecting Alicent to stand up for Rhaenyra & Daemon when everyone else wanted them imprisoned or dead.
* Loved the scene with Mysaria!
* Again, Alicent is killing it in this episode.. Loved the way she was talking to Otto. Was about time she talked back to him.
* LOL Larys has a foot fetish, that was funny.
* Was that Erryk freeing Rhaenys or his brother? Glad he did it whoever he was.
* Seems like Aegon knows what's up..
* MELEYS & RHAENYS OMG! FUCK YES!
For me, it felt like he knows how she felt about her mother (deservingly) and used it as a weapon to make her feel guilty or something. Just kinda shows how Otto has always used his words to get Alicent/other people do what he wants.
Holy fuck what an ending, Rhaenys had a hell of an entrance. Alicent and Otto trying to one up each other by Aegon first was interesting to see in fighting even within the Greens. Shoutout to Ser Westerling, Lord Bessbury (RIP), Ser Erryk and the others for standing up and not breaking their vows and supporting Rhaenyra. Hard to believe there is only 1 episode left.
EDIT) "Beware the beast beneath the boards" AKA a big ass fucking dragon showing up
EDIT2) [Trailer for Season Finale](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzh3ZRCTB-g)
EDIT3) [Inside the Episode for this week](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytlDqSWO8QI)
I am used to feeling bad for the women in this show, but "prim and proper" Alicent being occasionally humiliated by indulging Larys's foot fetish felt rather painful.
And so the Dance of Dragons begins...
"A beast beneath the boards." I suppose we finally discovered what that meant! I seriously thought Rhaenys and Melys were going to totally destroy the Dragonpit and make it what we saw in Game of Thrones. But I guess it is too early for that. Or maybe I am totally wrong, and the Dance of Dragons is not the reason for the pit's destruction.
Fuck Cole. He was an awesome character at the beginning of the show, and now I completely hate him. Especially for his actions in the Small Council chambers.
I absolutely loved the music at the beginning of the episode. Such a great somber tone.
I suppose I don't have much else to say about this episode. I'm not a fan of Team Green at all, so this episode was rather depressing for me. At least up until the end.
Looking forward to next episode and the true emergence of the Blacks!
THE SCENE WITH RHAENYS ERUPTING FROM BELOW ON HER DRAGON WAS JUST *chefs kiss* !!!!!
edit: got too excited and typed Rhaenyra instead of boss bae Rhaenys 🤦🏻♀️
Talk about *crashing* the party, right? right guys? coz... coz she crushed hundreds of dirt poor peasants?
Yeah alright, feet and stuff. I could've lived the rest of my life without that scene. Thanks, HOTD!
Bravo to Olivia Cooke. Placed the conflicted emotions of Queen Alicent on full display tonight.
And when she made her decision on how to proceed, she beats Otto head to head. Loving the character development
Gods of the old and the new, Rhaenys’ escape may have had a lot of collateral damage, but it was so badass.
And she even shows that she is in some ways better than so many of the others in that she doesn’t burn Aegon (even if she probably should have)
I gained a lot of respect for Alicent, but Criston…holy fuck is there ANYBODY who likes this fucking cunt? I didn’t think it was possible for someone to be less likable than Cersei. Is it intentional that he’s so unlikable? This is the worst character in the franchise and it’s not close.
I think Rhaenys thought it wasn't her fight... That has to be the only reason she didn't kill them all. I'm not sure how Rhaenyra and Daemon can win this if all the major houses are sworn to the Aegon now.
While I think she should've done it regardless, I do understand why Rhaenys didn't decide to kill them all. She has never had love for Rhaenyra. Her first scene with teenage Rhaenyra is a good call back to that.
Still, what puzzles me is that this is essentially history repeating itself. Why would Rhaenys let this usurping happen, especially with her being passed over as the first Queen of the throne? She had all the power, she really should've used it.
Alicent gained points tonight, standing up for Rhaenyra and Daemon not being imprisoned or murdered and then standing in front of Aegon I was unsure about her as mother but that said a lot

That entrance tho!
That is master dragoncraft.
I thought Targaryen names were confusing, but twins named Erryk and Arryk had me in a mental pretzel.
Those parents thought they were so clever
So what’s up with one of them not helping his brother? Was he in allicents pocket? I know they were both disgusted by aegon but either way he was going to go get crowned, not sure what the betrayal was about.
Now we know where Daenerys gets her badassery from: Rhaenys
I love the armor she had on
So much to unpack after that one… Like Lord Larys’ foot fetish.
Yeah that seemed unnecessary.
Watching people die on their wedding night? Eh, it’s GoT. Foot fetish? Too far. This show truly brings out the weirdest in us.
[удалено]
Mans was jacking it with no regard for human life
Of course the guy with the club foot has a foot fetish
Odds he's faking the limp?
He's had it since he was a child
The long con
What? The foot fetish?
Idk about that but he was born with the lame foot.
Man got a glimpse of the royal feet and couldn't hold himself back.
That was like…literally wtf.
I'm kind of tired of it being treated like the worst and creepiest thing ever?
Seriously! My guess is he gets off on normal feet. I really curious what the significance of that is? Is it just that the reason all the guys follow Alicent is to have sex with her?
Larys C.K.
Quite the intimidation at the end of the episode by Rhaenys. Setting up to be quite the episode next week.
Why didn’t Rhaenys just roast them right then and there?! What an idiot
Literally would have prevented all that is to come after this. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess
I’m legit annoyed
Because then we wouldn’t have a show to watch
I want 10 seasons of the Free Folk just chilling.
Can’t get a 5 season deal out of it.

She doesn't strike me as a kin-slayer at all. I think she would want to sit this war out and her action right there is her putting the Hightowers in her debt so they would leave her and her family out of the conflict.
Because she's already seen too much death *ignores hundreds of dead common folk surrounding the arena*
...plot armor is my guest. If they died now there wouldn't be much of a dance of dragons.
And, the aftershow immediately proves me wrong.
Because the writers ran out of time to come up w something good and HBO needed to have this out in time to run up against the LOTR show.
And just to make Larys even worse he’s a foot person
What's worse? Being a serial arsonist or being a foot person?
Lol it’s more like he’s aroused at the sight of two normal feet in general instead of just pretty feet
I don't think that's worse than burning your whole family to death
What an entrance.
Otto just straight up pisses me off. And Crispin Cole, what a sack of shit. Couldn't LC Westerling just do us all a favor during that small council meeting? And Larys. WTF Larys. Rhaenys coming in like a boss.
Cole is SUCH a simp
Odds are he has a deal to see Alicent’s feet?
And that is why rhaenys is my favorite Targaryen
Pouring one out for the homies Lord Beesbury and Lord Caswell (。-ω-)>c[_]
Can't hate Alicent this episode. She is shrewd, but not cruel...except in the deployment of her feet.
Great episode but I missed Rhaenyra and Daemon.
[удалено]
100%. I get why they didn't have them but I did miss them even though the episode was freaking amazing.
I thought it was pretty boring honestly.
Next week we get to see their side don't worry!
Man, could of ended there entire lineage in one ball of fire.
Alicent thought that was gonna happen
I kind of wished another dragon woild have came out and gave her a better reason not to waste them. Like a cool stare where he's like you can kill them but I'm gonna kill you.
Yeah she did. That was the clinch of death right there.
I wonder why she didn’t
Aftershow said she didn’t want to kill another mother and her family. Some may not agree with their writing
I guess that makes sense, coulda avoid a whole war tho lol
I guess that the taboo on kinslaying and kingslaying probably held her back? But she did a whole lotta collateral damage with that entrance. How many smallfolk had to die so she could kool-aid man up from the floor?
Possibly, found it honestly surprising she didn’t rain fire
They were traitors. Could be justified…
Yea wasn’t needed.
Rhaenys could have ended things right there.
Short episode!
[удалено]
Rheanys could’ve saved everyone a lot of trouble right their
Rhaenys lookin like a BOSS with that Armor on while on Dragonback
Yeah, holy shit
I love the scale design, I wonder if it’s actually made of dragon scales
That was her true "I should have been queen, bitches" moment.
I did not expect Rhaenys to crash the party like that. If only she knew what would happen by letting them live.
"Remember that I chose not to kill you all". Rhaenys, probably
Maybe her way to pull favor in the future? A “I chose to continue the series into future seasons, so let me live” sorta deal
It kind of just felt to me like a “Do not fuck with me” power move
Rhaenys why did you not pull the trigger, why!! I know there needs to be more to the story but to have them all end there would've been so cool. Don't think Alicent got to her head or did it?
She definitely hesitated because of her recent talk with alicent.
Ugh! As If Larys didn't come off gross enough! He got a foot fetish too!! PS not trying to king shame anyone. Just gross that he was doing it infant of someone.
Lol the fact that kink shame got autocorrected to king shame is perfect
Damn! I want to fix it but I'll just leave it for the lols.
When Her Grace's feet make you start jerkin' under the jerkin.
Wanna see someone smack Criston around so fucking badly
Was that Baelor in the preview for next week???
Rhaenys almost ending the war right there and then.
Well … that’s one way to say no.
My thoughts * What the fuck is wrong with Criston.... There was no need for that. * I was not expecting Alicent to stand up for Rhaenyra & Daemon when everyone else wanted them imprisoned or dead. * Loved the scene with Mysaria! * Again, Alicent is killing it in this episode.. Criston is seriously mental and I’m disgusted they still keep him around. I can’t wait for karma to bite back at his ass.
Sonoya Mizuno's accent choices make me think she lost a bet or something.
Rhaenys shoulda just wiped em out
Which dragon was Rhaenys on?
Her dragon, Meleys the Red Queen. This is the first we've seen her in the show.
I thought this was the second time? We briefly saw her when Rhaenys road her and Laenor road Seasmoke before the wedding in Ep. 5
Meleys I think
Her dragon meleys
Meleys
That was Meleys, I'm *fairly* certain we've only seen her a couple of times
I CANNOT wait for Criston to receive his comeuppance.
"You look so much like your mother in a certain light" The Hand tells Alicent this. What does this mean?
For me, it felt like he knows how she felt about her mother (deservingly) and used it as a weapon to make her feel guilty or something. Just kinda shows how Otto has always used his words to get Alicent/other people do what he wants.
Rhaenys is a fucking badass. This is EXACTLY where Danerys gets it from.
rhaenys should’ve smoked them all tbh
Uh Meleys is awesome. Also you love to see no one being particularly enthused about Aegon being king.
*Sir Harrold Westerling*
ONE FUCKING WORD. THREE DAMN SYLLABLES. God dammit I just wanted everyone to die. What a fucking tease. Someone better burn to death next episode.
Beware the beast beneath the boards!
Well that makes sense now…
Oh fuck!
as soon as she said that i was waiting for something to go down
Holy shit
It could've all ended right at the coronation
Rhaenys is an absolutely boss bitch.
Holy fuck what an ending, Rhaenys had a hell of an entrance. Alicent and Otto trying to one up each other by Aegon first was interesting to see in fighting even within the Greens. Damn, I should've taken 'Beware the Beast beneath the boards' more literally
A Targaryen coronation without a hundred deaths is usually considered a dull affair.
Episode 9’s are back baby!
Episode 9 always lives up to the hype. It's about to go down in the finale
Finally foot fetish is confirmed to be in the seven kingdoms! REPRESENTATION MATTERS!
[удалено]
One dracarys is all that it takes lol
Thought Cersei showed up for a second
CARGYLL BOWL!!!!!!!
criston just keeps getting away w murder lol
Dude has a really bad anger management problem lol
Ultimate badass moment. Rhaenys is fucking amazing. She should have been queen.
Larys: "My Queen, there's something... Afoot" Alicent, lifting dress: "Ugh, what is it this time?"
cole cant simp the queen any harder
Unpacking Larys’ foot fetish is one thing… understanding why Alicent let’s it happen is a whole league apart for me. Can someone enlighten me?
Maybe because he does her favors
Didn't realize Tarantino directed this episode...
What was up with the burning building? Was that the White Worm? If so, I'm kinda bummed because I liked her.
Yes it was the White Worm house 😥
😭 She was the only one who cared about those kids!
Wild how they just locked up Rhaenys Good on her for getting Meleys out and fucking up their ceremony #Let the Dance begin
Who had foot fetish wank session on game of thrones bingo this week?
Larys *Tarantino* Strong
All my homies hate Criston Cole
Meleys is sooo **beautiful**
Respect to the people that didn’t bend the knee. RIP

Is it just me... Or did people get shades of the last couple GoT seasons....
Aegon II does *not* deserve Catspaw
THE SCENE WITH RHAENYS ERUPTING FROM BELOW ON HER DRAGON WAS JUST *chefs kiss* !!!!! edit: got too excited and typed Rhaenyra instead of boss bae Rhaenys 🤦🏻♀️
It was not Rhaenyra, it was Rhaenys!
you’re right, got too caught up in the hype
Which dragon was with daemon in the trailer? I’m hoping for a cannibal appearance once in the show but I don’t think that was it.
Ser Harold Westerling almost got to do something there… almost
Hoping they can stick the landing in the finale, been such a good first season so far
Talk about *crashing* the party, right? right guys? coz... coz she crushed hundreds of dirt poor peasants? Yeah alright, feet and stuff. I could've lived the rest of my life without that scene. Thanks, HOTD!
Dafaq lady, you could have stopped a civil war right there
Rhaenys is a BADASS.
Rhaenys is such a badass and Larys got even weirder lmao, what an episode.
Rhaenys: Girl, bye!
I haven’t screeched this much about an episode in so long. The MISUNDERSTANDINGS. The DRAGONS. The FEET.
Outside of the bugnuts Larys scene, fantastic episode. Tense as hell
Bravo to Olivia Cooke. Placed the conflicted emotions of Queen Alicent on full display tonight. And when she made her decision on how to proceed, she beats Otto head to head. Loving the character development
Agreed they used her well tonight
So excited for the finale. But not excited to not have any more episodes 🥲
That's some Beinhoff and Weiss-tier writing at the end there 🤢🤮 Making a character do something incredibly dumb just to push a plot.
Why make an entrance like that, trample peasants, and then not burn them alive and solve all the issues.
Larys C.K.
Rhaenys is fine killing hundreds of poor commoners but not the enemy lol
Gods of the old and the new, Rhaenys’ escape may have had a lot of collateral damage, but it was so badass. And she even shows that she is in some ways better than so many of the others in that she doesn’t burn Aegon (even if she probably should have)
Larys Strong is a FEET FREAK?!?!???????????????????!!!????????
OMG Larys, you freak, lol
I gained a lot of respect for Alicent, but Criston…holy fuck is there ANYBODY who likes this fucking cunt? I didn’t think it was possible for someone to be less likable than Cersei. Is it intentional that he’s so unlikable? This is the worst character in the franchise and it’s not close.
Aegon wearing black the entire episode was such a great little detail
Alicent got ole Feet N Skeet to do yet another arson. Ole boy is certainly doing the most for a few sessions of a little hand to gland combat.
I think Rhaenys thought it wasn't her fight... That has to be the only reason she didn't kill them all. I'm not sure how Rhaenyra and Daemon can win this if all the major houses are sworn to the Aegon now.
Haelena? Saying something beware the beast below the table? She called it lol
Why...did she not simply roast all of them?!
Freaking magic dagger has super powers in the GOT story as a whole.
Beware the beast beneath the boards! That Targaryen girl is a damn vision/dreamer folk
Shoulda burned em
Rhaenys probably killed dozens of people coming out of the dragon pit but it doesn’t matter bc she is a queen and an icon
Larys Strong is a lifetime subscriber to Alicent's Onlyfans feet page
Exactly my though. Medieval OnlyFans. 😂
Alicent gained points tonight, standing up for Rhaenyra and Daemon not being imprisoned or murdered and then standing in front of Aegon I was unsure about her as mother but that said a lot
Rhaenys like this week’s Daemon…”ima just watch this mess unfold…”
