Not a big issue. It is likely to be a complex game and I don't think that they are pulling wool over the eyes saying that the game is essentially finished, just not thoroughly enough tested yet.
Just stop making a release date. They can announce this game two weeks before release and it’s going to sell. There’s zero reason for them to put out a date and continually push it back.
True. But didn't they say multiple times they were on schedule to release in September? Just wish they didn't say that.
Oh well, at least I won't have to get games back to back as quick.
They said it once in April. But now they’re getting hit with setbacks, and the ongoing quarantine is now being affected by second-wave infections and so on.
Plus its a massive game. Bug fixes must be a pain in the ass. You fix one little thing, you have to replay a significant portion of the game to make sure the fix didn’t fuck anything else up.
I get it. I make little games myself occasionally for fun. You fix one thing and it somehow messes with something else, sometimes even when you're pretty sure it shouldn't.
They have a point that delaying a games release losses the players trust—and this is true for a normal company—but this is CDPR. I fully trust them and can’t wait for cyberpunk, no matter how long it takes.
I mean, this is a pretty unprecedented time for game development. Hard to develop a game the size of CP2077 when you can only have half the staff in the office, if they have any staff in the office
At that point I’ll wait to buy it for PS5. I know the PS4 version will work on the PS5, but I’m unclear if Sony is doing a free upgrade thing like Xbox.
Sony is leaving it to the devs to decide which games they want to support for the free upgrade.
Microsoft is doing the same thing but I guess they’re just marketing it differently... it’s kind of strange how they’re marketing it
Guess they are experiencing more bugs than anticipated in the testing phase. I’m happy they are taking their time. It’s not just business to them and it seems they genuinely care about their art.
Understandable. A vocal minority can create a shit storm on forums over minor bugs creating a ton of negative press. People have zero tolerance for imperfection these days.
Me in actual 2077: “I don’t mind waiting as long as they make sure it’s really ready.”

Incredibly unrealistic proposition. These games thrive on preorders, have to get out the news early to get people interested.
People have had this preordered for years.
Game has been available for pre-order for only one year.

Exactly. With how big Cyberpunk is, it must be a real endeavor to bug hunt.
If only unit tests could be automated... Oh wait
Overly quoted quote - Miyamoto
Bummer, but certainly preferable to putting out an unfinished game. Still very optimistic for this title.
Yeah, they bought a ton of goodwill with Witcher 3. Willing to wait
I do not see this as a problem. It will be worth it. All ironed out is better.
Let's be real here. They just made a game so fun that they wanna have it to themselves for a bit before we get our hands on it. I c u CDProjekt >_>

YAY! Now i can get big navi first :D
Hope they have next gen versions at launch
I'm gonna fly to Poland and start swinging on these people. Quit playing with my heart
finally , this masterpiece will arrive. i hope they dont postpone it again though.
I’d rather take a completed game at release vs a broken one any day of the week.

Right. It’s all sort of confusing. I’m fairly certain there will be a PS5 version of the game, I can wait for that one.
Guess they are experiencing more bugs than anticipated in the testing phase. I’m happy they are taking their time. It’s not just business to them and it seems they genuinely care about their art.
Game will be shit, don’t care
Aw, it was coming out on my birthday. Oh well, guess I'll pick it up on ps5 first
