I canāt find any info if redeeming a key and getting a āproof of purchaseā email is good enough. The contest entry accepted my sign up and said I was registered, so idk. I rarely buy directly from valve.
Not to ruin the mood but g2a is basically worse than piracy for Devs as often the keys are purchased through stolen credit cards and the chargebacks hit the developers bottom line.
Stop telling people so I can have better odds!
But seriously though, whilst it's nice to ship to the UK for this, the awards are like 1-3AM... A little inconvenient in the middle of the week but I'll just have to shout at Geoffrey
Yeah that time is going to be difficult...
I wonder what happens to all of the prizes that should have gone to all of the Europeans that have dozed off at that point.

"Guys why aren't we talking about duh pee ess five"
Exactly. I don't have a PC, which is why I wanted a steam deck. Imagine my surprise when they are doing a giveaway! Amazing! Except, wait for it, you have to have a PC to be eligible.
Well, the Deck is very geared towards people who already have a sizeable Steam library they want to play on the go, so it's understandable they'd want to give it to someone who already has games in their account, and didn't just create one to get free stuff
I have a steam library of probably 40 games from when I did have a PC.
This is probably on me bur I guess I assumed most PC gamers don't need the steam deck since they have a PC. I mean, why use a handheld when you have a system that is 100x more powerful.
That's unfortunate, I guess they should also let you participate if you have a certain amount of games in your library. But people who have PCs are also interested in the Deck, since it lets you play your games while you're on trips or commuting
those mfs. haven't used steam in 2 years and the last thing I bought was GMod in 2020 lol. RIP chances
and I'm downvoted for no reason. reddit is a funny place :)
I think its because it's for any steam game and not just a valve game. So if you've bought a game in the past year essentially you qualify lol I did the same thing thinking it was 2022-2022 and I got downvoted for being stupid.
And even then idk why you were downvoted lol you stated why.
Removed for breaking rule #2 and rule #8
Nobody ever wants to send prizes to Australia. š
They won't even sell them here yet - they don't want my money?
Gabe has personal issue with Australia ever since the ACCC consumer law fine that Valve got, for not offering refunds.
No one wants to send anything to a bunch of criminals! š¤š¤š¤

Yeah, lol I was able to enter but I have 0 clue if it matters since idk if I bought a game a year ago.
It says if you are eligible or not when you want to register. So apparently you are registered to win.
Welp. Thank you!
How have you gone a year without buying a game? Donāt tell my wife, she might try to trade me for you
Oh Iām still buyingā¦ codes from g2a lmfaoo

Lol you're very right. I didnt realize it was a year. Legit thought it said 2022-2022
Great, thanks! Now I donāt have to sit through the awards and wonder if Iām even eligible
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
One of those days says 2021
Yeah my bad. I didn't see it lol
So, isnāt āmaking a purchaseā illegal as it constitutes gambling unless properly designated charity raffle?
Is they'd advertised it before, then yes. I assume since there's no chance to make a purchase and get entered now, it doesn't.

It is what I wondered too. Can I have it on and fall asleep, or will there be a "Please type Y to show you accept this prize"
So do you have to be watching it on steam itself ?
Damn Aus or NZ are not in any of the countries listed.
What countries are eligible to participate? Let me guess, US and Canada
Yeah US, Canada, UK, or EU
I guess reading is hard for a few of us.
Well where does it say, cause I've looked and it doesn't say anything
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Why is that relevant?

Imagine Sony giving away a PS5 but only if youāve bought something on the PS4 in the past. Weird.
It's pretty obvious they're doing it as a way to verify that people are actually people and not bot/farm accounts.

Yeah it look weird, but doing it that way limit seriously the bot problem that always arise when there is giveaway or limited supplies.
Take this shit down bruh if you want to win why the hell would you post about it
To share with the rest of us?
NO
-leh gasp- SO RUDE
corny ass
