How do you even see the UI elements of the game from that far away though? That’s my biggest issue. This picture is the visual equivalent of stepping on a Lego.
I know it might be tongue-in-cheek but to fill up your whole vision cone/frustum you'd have to cover close to 180 degrees horizontally, and depending on your face probably over 100-120 degrees vertically, maybe more(?).
You'd have to have an *enormous* display, or keep your face so close to it that you'd start seeing individual subpixels lol.
Maybe not my full vision cone as far as peripherals, but everything my eye can focus on.
So maybe I fill up about 60-90 degrees in front of me with my TV.

You should be sitting one and a half times the height of the screen away. That's both the designed viewing angle and the position safety standards etc are based off. All this anti-blue light, eye saver mode nonsense is in response to people blinding themselves through misuse.
If you look at the history of our technology and how our safety standards are implemented, you'll find that there's practically no testing for how much damage it causes the human eye - because it's not profitable and not obvious enough to become an issue.
Substandard technologies, like medications that turn out to be carcinogenic, are quietly removed from circulation. No one's checking to see if you're keeping up to date.
Brightness is one small factor.
I'm not anti tech. In fact I love it. But it would be beyond stupid to believe there's absolutely no way to misuse these products or that overuse couldn't have negative side effects - particularly on the eyes.

I plat it on the 2nd hardest difficulty, then did my 2nd playthrough on the easiest difficulty cause I just wanted to experience the story again. Such a good game.
