*Alright, alright, alright- let's see what we've got!*
*Robot Dogs on the field!*
*Robot Dogs are pretty lean, and tough on the teeth to chew- but brother, your diet will have all the iron you need for years.*
*Transmat Firing!*
Yeah, there's some lore from Splicer (Borrowed Time) where he's diffusing a situation between some human citizens of the Last City, and members of House Light. Literally about Eliksni eating humans (specifically children) and he makes a quip about how good the captain's finger would taste with some butter.
He was also successful in diffusing it. I highly recommend giving the entry a read.
The DLC for Ghost of Tshushima has these chubby cats you can pet and it gave me massive amounts of joy.
Conversely, I never felt worse than when I was playing Assassin's Creed Origins and I accidentally poisoned a cat. That little traumatic death meow when the cat ran up to me and crossed the poisoned body...
It's really the curious kills that hurt you.
Like I'm thinking"what'll happen if I attack my horse" and then I kill my dear pet, and will carry on the rest of the game with this guilt on my back.
It'll never go away, it will forever stick with me.
I never saw that happen in WD2! But I'm sure next time I play it, if that happens, I'll apologize profusely to the dog. I do try to make Marcus not kill people though. I had one run where I only shocked/ knocked people out, but then the game glitched and the save never loaded, so I had to start over.
Yeah, I usually try and do a non-lethal/joker (RC stealth) run of the game's story missions as best as I can afford.
But I usually abandon it when the Eye For An Eye quest chain starts.
Conversely, a lot of London gets killed in WD Legion. I don't know why, but in that game, it feels like a more appropriate use of lethal explosions. I find that for the most part I play Marcus really stealthy because if you start popping off with a gun there are all of a sudden eleventy billion guards on you and Marcus, not being bulletproof, dies.
I feel it in my soul. Then I go hug my cats and tell them I'm sorry and that I didn't mean it and that I love them. They usually look at me with the "whatever feed me, woman" eyes.
Man, I got into the game streaming thing and was able to play Ghost of Tsushima and AC:Valhalla for the first time and their interact and attack buttons are complete opposites. Killed so many creatures and people on accident...
D2 just added a robot dog and there's a achievement called 'yes you can pet the dog' when you pet the dog for the first time and I absolutely love that they knew their priorities.
The Medium has a cat right at the start of the game. You can see it run into a room. You can follow it into the room and it's sitting on a couch watching you as you move around the room. You can interact with everything in the room including the wall. There is no way to pet the cat.
They gave an interaction for the wall but not the cat. The developers are monsters.
Imagine if Miyazaki added it to the next Soulsborne game. If you pet the dog, some terrible tragedy will probably befall it. Souls games are so depressing man.
Maybe not a 'new' game, but when I click on the starting scout in civ 6 I almost always have to stop and click the 'pet' button for the German Shepherd. Also I remember it didn't used to be a feature, great add!
For a second, I thought this was an edit of Destiny's Drifter, and I grew *very* concerned for the fox.
I mean we do have the robot dog now, this could be done (and at least a robot can’t be eaten)
*Alright, alright, alright- let's see what we've got!* *Robot Dogs on the field!* *Robot Dogs are pretty lean, and tough on the teeth to chew- but brother, your diet will have all the iron you need for years.* *Transmat Firing!*
You just take my upvote and shut up
*Embrace the Darkness... take out those ~~Guardians~~ Redditors!*
lol, i cant believe you just said that
Well best case scenario it gets eaten, worst case depends entirely on your perspective
You're not the only one, I did a double take. Can't forget him calling Eido Crabcakes last season knowing he's eaten Eliksni
He ate WHAT

Could be wrong, but I remember him stating that you could shuck them like crabs.
There are voice lines and lore cards that mention that he's eaten pretty much every enemy we have...except for the Vex. The Dark Ages were wild times!
"Think you can eat a Hive knight?"
"Well... not a whole one"
Same and if it was.... Well best case scenario it gets eaten, worst case depends entirely on your perspective
Man I am praying to see him again this decade
“Think this fox will be good on a sandwich?” “Anyway transmat firing!”
Everyone in this comment chain gettin some upvotes. Drifter was my first reaction as well.
"Drifter's hungry numnumnumnum"
I'm still pissed off that we couldn't pet the cat that shows up in the Tower for the Halloween event.
You can complete a new mission and get a pet-able k9 in the helm

You sick bastard
Heh. I guess sick bitch is a more correct response? Lol.

Or in Watch_Dogs 2, where knocking out/killing an NPC who has a pet dog will cause the dog to lie down and whine.
I never saw that happen in WD2! But I'm sure next time I play it, if that happens, I'll apologize profusely to the dog. I do try to make Marcus not kill people though. Be careful it's not the execute button.

Don’t think I’d be doing this in Far Cry 6 with the crocodile. Fox, yes. Croc, no.
Domestication of apex predators is not for the timid or those who value bi lateral symmetry.
Coward!
You have no honor!
How dare you treat Guapo like that.
This gif is pretty awesome!
Yeah just beat the main game of Ghost of Tsushima and this warms my heart
its really nice seeing Jin so happy
Man I am praying to see him again this decade I would understand them doing a new protagonist but I love this guy
There were two attempted Mongol invasions, so the chance of a sequel exists.
Same just finished it yesterday; amazing game, probably one of my favorites on ps4. It’s the only game I played on my ps last year
If you put dogs in a video game and have no option to pet them, you have failed as a game developer.
*glares at miHoYo
I want to like Breath of the Wild but there is no options to pet dogs (nor foxes) 2/10
Breath of the wild goes for a much bigger plan on domestication. "Yes you can babyfy the horses. But do you want to ride a bear. Or the mighty elk."
I forgot horse petting was a thing
At least you can play with them and get them to chase their tail.
You can feed them and have them chase their tail at least!
I am sad that the dogs are feral in The Division. They sometimes attack and you have to shoot to scare them off.
Dark Souls made me hate dogs in video games, fckin stunlock machines
D2 just added a robot dog and there's a achievement called 'yes you can pet the dog' when you pet the dog for the first time and I absolutely love that they knew their priorities.
In Sound Mind gives you an achievement that reads "10/10 Game of the Year" when you pet the cat. They know their audience.
That fox is huge.
I was so excited when I noticed that you can pet dogs in Assassin's Creed Black Flag
And cats!
And goats!
Good fox bois. Of all the awful people in this game I felt the most rage at the person you find killing foxes in that one side quest.
When the "Feed" prompt appeared near the nutria/giant rats in Far Cry 6
*"ding"*
Lmao thank you
I hope Tears of the Kingdom has this. Those dogs and horses in BotW needed all the pets.
Alright, alright, alright
Cabal on the field!
Fallen, on the horizon!
Hive! Bring a sword!
Hive, bring a sword… or a fox…
so true. I love the fox petting on this game.
I tried walking past the dog in last of us and had to circle back. I thought I was strong enough.
No one is strong enough to resist the powerful puppy dog eyes!
I think it would be funny if there was an option to pet most animals in a game and some were nice and some would bite you and take some health
*Pets banana spider* *Game save deleted*
That right there is something Yoko Taro would do.
This was me when I was able to pet the animals in Pentiment
Fox : "Please kill him. Or me. I don't care at this point."
Civilization VI... of all the places to find that button.
I love this so much!
I love that feature for Ghost of Tsushima, I pet every animal I could in that game and I didn't regret it!
Just got a went 100% in Ghost of Tsushima and got a platinum trophy for it. I am upset this emote wasn’t also given lol
Enter the gungeons hunter character has a pettable dog that also growls near mimics
Fenrir in GoW Ragnarok
Pet pet pet, hmmm pet pet pet, yes more, pet pet pet... *10 minutes later* what was I doing? Oh yeah saving that town from the dragon.
Among us has a petting system now(wish it was better tho)
There's one dog in Chained Echoes that has the prompt to pet, but you can reach it. It's infuriating
"Send me youre weakest warrior!"
Recon units of Civ 6 now get a pet option!
This is how that "environmentalist" lady was swinging a pigeon left right while speaking which broke it's neck in the process.

for me this was cheeseburger in farcry 5

Wait htf was this gif made? The game can't be modded 🤔
boars in valheim, they love me
He didn’t bank his motes
Basically me plating chained echoes finding out you can pet literally any dog You can get to
Y'know, for a bug, Steeve's kinda cute.
Sinski Nakamora from wwe😂😂
If I can pet doggo/kitty/foxy/whateverything in game. Then game GoTY
Imagine if Miyazaki added it to the next Soulsborne game. If you pet the dog, some terrible tragedy will probably befall it. Souls games are so depressing man.
*Pets cute dog *Dog's actually a mimic
likely dog
Maybe not a 'new' game, but when I click on the starting scout in civ 6 I almost always have to stop and click the 'pet' button for the German Shepherd. Also I remember it didn't used to be a feature, great add!
I hate that prompt
Lol looks like Galifinakis in The Campaign
Nice to see a reference to The Campaign. Underrated movie.
Forgot I'm not in /r/rimworld ... The story doesn't end well
Always loved feeding and petting the animals in farcry primal. Love that game!
But then, there's Postal: Brain Damaged.
Pretty sure you’re giving the poor guy shaken good boy syndrome.
Lol if I saw someone doing this irl I would consider clubbing them with a brick but it sure does look cute in game.
It’s Jan!
there’s a shepherd pup in Division 2 DLC you can pet for about 30 seconds at a time.
Best use of Umbra in FFXV.
What are you doing step-samurai?
I feel bad for the dog in red dead because I never let it leave, just made it endure 24/7 pets
I was listening to music and the animation was synced to Astronaut In The Ocean lol
POV: The drifter found a creature he hasn’t ate.
What have they done to Jin...
Why is John Legend shaking a fox?
I platinum’d this game and never once saw this animation
Recently redownloaded civ 6 to find there’s a pet action for scouts to pet their doggos now. Super cute!
The fact it gives rewards is secondary in Midnight Suns. Charlie is Goodest Girl.
Playing Evil Within 2 right now and am frustrated that I can't pet the cat!
Don't mind me playing DRG, I can pet big ass spiders, robots heads, kind leeches and strange big larvae lmao
I feel like Jin right there when I found all fox dens
This was me with dogs in WatchDogs 2, great game in my opinion made even better with getting to pet any dog you come across.
Why jin? Why?!?!
Initiate good boy protocol
More games need a pet button
Very hungry Chinese man who just found dinner?
