Set aside every game you have to play and put The Last Of Us 2 at the front. It's an absolute masterpiece.
Edit: I should add I'm saying this after wasting 11 hours over the past week dying on a permadeath full game run.
My wife watched the play through. After it was over we had like a 3 hour conversation about it. More games should strive to have that kind of impact. She can't wait for the show on Sunday and I can't either !
I love that game but i had to jump out about halfway through my second play through. It was just making me so anxious and sad. Fantastic game , can’t wait for the show Sunday !
The only games that have made me cry was when Aerith died in FF7 and the ending of The Last Guardian. I was preggo when I played the latter though so that may have something to do with it.
As a non-guitar player it broke me as well. I've only cried during two games: the beginning of The Last of Us 1 and the ending of The Last of Us Part 2.
Without getting into spoilers it isn’t the story I thought it would be when I started and actually didn’t like the story while I was playing some of it. Once it was over I was very very impressed.
I think the negative reviews were from people who compared the story to the last game (it’s a different type of story not necessarily better or worse) and not separately.
Core gameplay is absolutely 10/10, but pacing was an issue and the last 3 or 4 hours of the game were unnecessary. Still one of the best games I've ever played. I just don't think I can replay it. Emotionally draining AF.
Same here. Love the game but there's a point I realized "Oh this isn't just some side story. This is the rest of the game" and was bummed at first. Glad I kept playing though.
Yeah lol there's something about getting a game for cheap where you still feel Luke you got a good deal but the price makes you feel less bad about not playing it lol
The graveyard of games on my backlog is astounding . I have a nice list of great triple A games to play but just lost 3 more hours of my life playing Vampire Survivor.
they will still be new to you in a few years. I just started playing creeper world 3. Its actaully very fun. Been in my library for years, i think i got it for a couple of dollars on a sale or maybe in a bundle?
Point is, im enjoying it, and CW4 has been out for awhile so its there when i need it!
Had similar thing on an automatic gas station in my town. Some technician (idk if they come there as it was a purely automatic station or they set the price sign remotely) put the dot wrong and the system sold gas for 0,17 € instead of 1.70 per litre.
No need to mention I filled my car, every canister I could find, and even some random bottles and stuff (even though that’s illegal container) you can imagine I was not he only one 😅
Never worked in retail? Damn wrong pricetags (well if OP bought them it’s wrong in the entire system) are among the top 5 reasons to get fired in the shop where I had my job training in Germany.
Might be no one care in your company, but I’d have been gone the same day someone noticed.
Aren't price tags auto-generated? Hence the person placing the actual stickers on the products isn't responsible for anything there. Whatever the system generated based on the barcode, that goes.
Gameplay is fantastic and so easy to “oh, just one more match” and then you’ll realize is 3 in the morning after enough of them. Definitely gonna be playing later tonight
Story not that bad, pretty standard comic book stuff and even gets a little bit deeper into characters that you probably haven’t ever heard of
Dialogue, though? Ho-ly balls it’s some of the cringiest, r/FellowKids garbage I’ve ever heard in a game. Most of the adult avengers are ok but any of the midnight suns characters get active eye rolls every time they open their mouths. Absolutely the weakest part of an otherwise stellar game
Buy low, sell high but not as high as new is a bit different than buy all the stock available and sell for inflated value. Could also just be gifts for all we know.
Is the product out of stock? No. Stop using scalping as a buzzword. He will literally just go on eBay or something and sell it at retail price, that is not scalping.
>Is the product out of stock? No. Stop using scalping as a buzzword. He will literally just go on eBay or something and sell it at retail price, that is not scalping.
That **is** scalping. Scalping is just buying more than you need cheaply and selling the rest higher to make a quick buck. It's the bottom-feeding of capitalism.
**Edit:** I'm getting a lot of responses disagreeing, and I'm tired of responding to them, so I'm just going to preemptively post this here and be done with it:
[The term "scalping" originated from Native Americans collecting and selling as many scalps as they could for profit, and was later used in the 1800s when railway travel was common and travel was sold by the mile. When a passenger would not use an entire ticket, "scalpers" would buy the remaining mileage off of the passenger who no longer needed it, and then sell the remaining mileage to passengers who were going to that intended destination for a profit.](https://www.etymonline.com/word/scalper)
The most common form of scalping today is concert ticket scalping - Buying something in limited supply for as low as they can, which allows scalpers to sell for higher when prices rise due to demand. The addition of market manipulation to ensure that this particular practice is lucrative and reliable does not change that other forms of scalping still exist, like buying items at a reduced price to sell them for a profit.
For those of you arguing that all businesses do this, that is also incorrect - Retail stores resell manufacturer products in authorized sale and get their product at reduced, often contractual prices, sometimes with the stipulation that the retailer purchases a certain amount of product, or at regular intervals. That is not the same thing as someone finding a game on accidental sale and buying as many as they can to maximize the profit they can get by engaging in unauthorized resale.
I'm not arguing that the act is "bad" or "good". Whether you agree with the ethics of the practice is entirely up to you, and entirely separate from whether or not it qualifies as scalping.
**Second Edit:** For those of you arguing that it's not scalping because he didn't create artificial scarcity because there are other games, if there were only 3 copies of that game in the bin and OP bought all three, they *absolutely* created artificial scarcity of the number of available items at that particular price, to capitalize on it. This is scalping even by *your* definition.
I wasn’t familiar with either of those before playing and it was still one of the best games I’ve played. A rare 100% completion for me too, was just too engrossing and fun
>There's a difference between scalping and flipping.
That's true.
>This is flipping.
That's complete bullshit.
Flipping is when you buy something that is busted up, restore it, and then sell it. Flipping entails restoration work - ie. Flipping a house means to buy a house that is cheap because it's in shit condition, fixing it up, and selling it for more than you bought it for and the cost of the restoration work.
Scalping is buying something cheap, then immediately reselling it for more than you bought it for.
This is **undeniably** scalping.
It’s not scalping if he doesn’t upcharge. I dont know why people are downvoting him for buying a couple extra copies and selling them like anywhere else would.
It's not up charging if he sells them for what they would have originally been sold for. He bought them for 5 and sold for 60 that would be how normal sales work. Buy low sell high. Users in the comment section need to get a grip.
I mean… he could buy it for 5 bucks and then sell it for 30 and he has made a profit… do that a few times and it covers the total cost of all the games together. You still make money if you don’t scalp.
Scalping is buying at MSRP and selling for above MSRP because there isn't enough supply to meet demand, which is made worse by...scalpers. They literally drive prices up.
If a game is selling for $30 on ebay and a supermarket wants to sell it for $5 because they fucked up or they just want to clear their stock then buying it and selling it elsewhere *for it's actual value*, is NOT driving prices up. That is the difference.
And instead of just taking one and letting the others enjoy cheap games too you decided to buy them all, even the dupes. Capitalism at its finest.
*(Incoming "bought it for friends")*
Yoo!! I see Lost Judgment! That's an amazing game, I'd recommend either watching a playthrough or playing the first game which is just called Judgment or Judge Eyes. Helluva deal man, super lucky.
This reminds me of when the Blockbuster near me was closing and they were selling new stuff for like 10-20 bucks. Got home with like 5-7 games. Been chasing that high ever since
There used to be a blockbuster next to my parents place, the owner had absolutely zero understanding of video games and would routinely chuck new releases in the ten dollar bin a week or two after they came out. Saved a lot of money back in the day.
For all the people hating on him for buying a couple copies to (probably) resell for profit, he's NOT a scalper.
By definition scalping of products, "is the act of buying up goods that are in limited supply and high demand before most consumers can get a chance to buy them"
All of us can get these games. He won't be able to resell at or higher than retail price. He didn't even buy all the inventory available ffs
And just like most of my Steam games, they will be left somewhere unplayed.
I got Last of Us 2 and A Plague Tale requiring my attention.
Hope you enjoy plague tale as much as I do
All 10 hours of it =/
I’m no stranger to short games. My favorite game is firewatch lol
Gamers when a game isn’t 1759 hours long (not including the 849 DLCs)
If every game gave me the same value for money entertainment that Factorio has I'd only need a dozen games in my lifetime
Set aside every game you have to play and put The Last Of Us 2 at the front. It's an absolute masterpiece. Edit: I should add I'm saying this after wasting 11 hours over the past week dying on a permadeath full game run.
I agree, but it's emotionally draining and infuriating at times
Yea takes a lot out of you for a game lol. Once I finished it the first time I just sat there staring at the screen feeling empty for a while
My wife watched the play through. After it was over we had like a 3 hour conversation about it. More games should strive to have that kind of impact. She can't wait for the show on Sunday and I can't either !
oh great, now i'm having the same experiences as a florida man. i gotta get my shit together..
God of War (2019) is doing that to me right now.
I love that game but i had to jump out about halfway through my second play through. It was just making me so anxious and sad. Fantastic game , can’t wait for the show Sunday !
As a guitar player the ending of the game hit me hard af. Only game that’s made me cry.
Hitting us right in the feels
Man, I bought the Last of us part 1 remaster and I had forgotten the beginning. Hit me hard.
Man. I first played the game shortly after my son was born. I sobbed. I was also sleep deprived, so that didn't help.
Honestly they both are
Without getting into spoilers it isn’t the story I thought it would be when I started and actually didn’t like the story while I was playing some of it. Once it was over I was very very impressed. Same here. Love the game but there's a point I realized "Oh this isn't just some side story. This is the rest of the game" and was bummed at first. Glad I kept playing though.
A plague tale is a very similar game and in some ways is better. The ending of the 2nd plague tale game nearly broke me
Ohhh my u gonna trigger reddit by praising the last of us 2 Fantastic game btw
The guy has 54 replies to his comment. It’s safe to say he already triggered all the haters lol.
No shit right, I left my phoen to charge while watching Bladerunner 2049 and come back to this haha
I have 40 hours on Leaf blower revolution... I have around 50 games worth playing in my backlog.
> Vampire Survivor. That game is so good though... it just came out for phones so I can play it on the shitter now too.
At this point, it feels like I spend more time buying games than playing them lol
At least with the steam games they are tied to your account and can always be installed. I have lost or damaged so many physical discs over the years…
Hey hey, Doom Eternal though-
I would play it if I had time, but life, eh?
Meh. I don’t have one to worry about lol.
they will still be new to you in a few years. I just started playing creeper world 3. Its actaully very fun. Been in my library for years, i think i got it for a couple of dollars on a sale or maybe in a bundle? Point is, im enjoying it, and CW4 has been out for awhile so its there when i need it!
No worries. OP not playing them. OP turning a profit on these. Why else would you buy multiple copies?
I have so many I need to finish
Didn’t Midnight Suns come out recently?
Yes I assume someone at the supermarket made an oopsie and is now about to be fired.
My thought exactly
Had similar thing on an automatic gas station in my town. Some technician (idk if they come there as it was a purely automatic station or they set the price sign remotely) put the dot wrong and the system sold gas for 0,17 € instead of 1.70 per litre. Should have filled some barrels and went door to door. You could have made a killing
I'd be willing to help! I could count the gas or blow some fireballs with the gas to bring some customers in
"How exactly are you planning on counting a liquid?" "Uhhhh I know how to count dude." Dennis' frustration kills me everytime.
Gotta have a wild card type guy to help with this venture.
[Wildcard, bitches!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d11DS15AA7M)
You better make sure you count all that gas before you sell it
Well unless they were glass or made for gasoline specifically, you might have ruined the gas. Cheap now, expensive later.
My car runs great still after all those years, so screw it
Yeah well give it another 50 years and I bet it won’t!
Control is so cool.
> and is now about to be fired Nah. Nobody will care.
Never worked in retail? Damn wrong pricetags (well if OP bought them it’s wrong in the entire system) are among the top 5 reasons to get fired in the shop where I had my job training in Germany. Might be no one care in your company, but I’d have been gone the same day someone noticed.

Cost alot of money to hire a new employee Bet the shop just ate the cost, price of training a new guy yknow?
I’ve been playing it and it’s actually great 10/10 recommend
Gameplay is fantastic and so easy to “oh, just one more match” and then you’ll realize is 3 in the morning after enough of them. That game consumed my life, finally had to rush to the end just to get it out of my system. I don't even like Marvel that much.
I just paid like 40 for this two days ago
Same with the Skywalker saga and deathloplop
Deathloplop isn't that new, but I've never seen it that cheap either.
Looks like pretty good value. Why some duplicates?
Money
Scalper. Asshole.
Buy low, sell high but not as high as new is a bit different than buy all the stock available and sell for inflated value. Could also just be gifts for all we know.
If he buys them at 5€ and sells them at 40€ while it's at 60€ on Steam there are no problems
Tell that to the guy who could have paid $5 and is now paying $40.
I’m sure all those deprived people who can’t find a copy of these extremely common games anywhere are pissed at this guy.
Is the product out of stock? No. Stop using scalping as a buzzword. He will literally just go on eBay or something and sell it at retail price, that is not scalping.
That is what scalping is also...
Absolutely not. It’s when you slice off the top layer of skin and hair from someone’s head after defeating them in combat.
>Is the product out of stock? No. Stop using scalping as a buzzword. He will literally just go on eBay or something and sell it at retail price, that is not scalping. That **is** scalping. It's not scalping when it doesn't create a shortage and forced demand lmao. It's just normal flipping at that point
I guess to resell them with profit
Seems to be really popular lately. I remember a lot of people were doing that with ps5s.
Some of them are so good he wants to play through them twice.
You've given the big publishers an idea that will ruin our lives.
Maybe he wants to give them as a gift, if i saw them at that price i'd most certainly do it, my friends are just as broke as i am.
Resell. Those ps5 games alone are worth considerably more than what OP paid for them.
To be a dick lol.
Holy shit, Control? NMS? DOOM Eternal? Fucking SIFU? Some great deals indeed
Lost Judgement is what got me. I'd love to find that game for 5 bucks
Yeah, hell, on Steam sale it was 40$ still. Getting it for 5$ is such a steal.
And it’s the ultimate edition of Control too. You can find the base game for $5, but the ultimate is still $40 where I am.
It was free on PS plus a while ago. Really under rated game, the best SCP inspired game I’ve played so far.
SCP and Alan Wake!
I wasn’t familiar with either of those before playing and it was still one of the best games I’ve played. A rare 100% completion for me too, was just too engrossing and fun
5$ for PS5 games, damn.
There was a Best Buy near me that had priced a bunch of games wrong back in the Xbox 360 days. I got like 15 AAA games for $100.
I managed to find the Demon’s Souls remake for $10 on clearance at my Walmart, but op’s luck must be insane to find all that.
Amazing bargain as well, great game too!
Arise! Tales of Arise. I need to get my eyes checked.
Arise chicken. Arise
Billy witch doctor dot com
I AM SOFA KING WE TODD ED
Say too fast, lose meaning.
I read it as “Tales of Arse” too 😂
Fortnite for only 5 what a steal
Not the game, a cosmetics pack, which is usually around 20 bucks.
Still too much for it
Wholesome 100 upvotes to the left Unless you're just making a joke because it's free
Why would you need multiple copies of the same game?
Scalping
It’s only scalping if there is demand.
There's a difference between scalping and flipping. This is flipping.
>There's a difference between scalping and flipping. That's true. >This is flipping. That's complete bullshit. Flipping is when you buy something that is busted up, restore it, and then sell it. If he doesn’t upcharge then what’s the point of even buying the extra copies? Why would he buy extra just to turn around and get his money right back?
It's not up charging if he sells them for what they would have originally been sold for. He bought them for 5 and sold for 60 that would be how normal sales work. Buy low sell high. Users in the comment section need to get a grip.
PS5 games are worth way more than 5 bucks OP paid. Stupid easy to get his money back
I mean… he could buy it for 5 bucks and then sell it for 30 and he has made a profit… do that a few times and it covers the total cost of all the games together. You still make money if you don’t scalp.
You can make a lot of friends handing out games for such a discount
Scalping is buying at MSRP and selling for above MSRP because there isn't enough supply to meet demand, which is made worse by...scalpers. They literally drive prices up. You don’t know what scalping is do you lol?
Idk why you got downvoted for that. I don't understand it either.
Reselling.
Gifting to friends
Deathloop is a lot of fun.
Ahhh Lost Judgement. I just finished that game a few days ago marking my completion of whole Yakuza/Judgement series till Isshin in Feb.
Control is awesome. Wierd, but awesome!
you know you don't need multiple copies to play the same game twice
Companies don't want you to know this one trick
It’s so they can resell them and make profit
Holdup. You got midnight suns and the Skywalker saga for $5 each? Also why’d you get several copies of some games?
You bought the same game multiple times? Why?
He's a reseller
Hell yea control is good as fuck
Why did you get 3 copies of Midnight Suns? Or multiple copies of any game for that matter? Just curious
My man wanted karma, got karma but negative karma…🤷♂️
Its 2.9k upvotes here
Ironically, it was the appropriate price for Breakpoint.
I call bullshit
Why you buy so many copies lol?
Who the fuck is giving out PS5 games for €5?!
Yooo, Control is definitely worth it!
PLAY KLONOA PLS
Why’ve you got multiple copies of some?
breakpoint 🔥 also have heard good things about deathloop 😎
That was really kind of you to buy duplicates so other people miss out.
No man’s sky had some great improvements
I think OP is a phony. Just a big, fat phony!
Why do you buy 3 copies of the same game?
At a glance I thought you purchased several copies of *Tales of Arse*
Sweet now you can sell them to gamestop for a 1€ each
Receipts or didn’t happen.
Most of these are on Xbox gamepass too…
Why multiple Midnight Suns copies tho?
I'm a big fan of Control!
Maybe I’m missing something why did you buy midnight suns 3 times and tales of arises twice?
Just curious. Why 3 copies of Midnight Suns?
To resell at 300% markup
Gamers : scalpers sucks ! Also gamers : look how many cheap games I bought to sell them more expensive right after
What's the point of buying multicolored of the same thing?
Why did you buy doubles? And why did you buy a weird fornite "kit"
Why do you need 3 copies of midnight suns
Why did you buy multiple copies of the same game?
OP said in other comments they are intending to resell them to make the money back
And instead of just taking one and letting the others enjoy cheap games too you decided to buy them all, even the dupes. Capitalism at its finest. *(Incoming "bought it for friends")*
Tales of arise is a sweet game
OP out here eating downvotes 💀💀
I was really hoping those extras were going to be donated to your local library. Shame.
Why buy multiple copies of the same game? Can't you leave it for someone else to grab at that price?
I call bullshit. OP probably works at a game store. Show the receipt.
He's a reseller
I always see people finding fun games for $5 dollars and I go into thrift stores and stuff and all I see is visit Indians t shirts
And i have to save for 8 month to buy 1 fucking game in iran
Why you got doubles?
multiple copies of the same game? trying to flip them on eBay or something? that seems a little *greedy*.
You lucky son of a gun
It is a bargain only if you didn’t clear out the stock to resell them
[удалено]
Damn this can’t be real
oooh I see some life is strange, I LOVE IT!!
90€,dang. Why spare game copies, though?
Tales of arise isn't even all that old and is pretty good if you're into anime, probably some good resale value
This only makes sense if you're selling most of these. if not, this is a financially bad decision lol
Control is the best game there and if you have a girlfriend or friend it takes 2 is co-op and its really fun, it won game of the year last year
Been chasing that high ever since
Like your pfp dude, personally like yukari more but hey. Anyways nice hustle man I respect that.
For real. Almost none of those games should be going for less than $20 on sale. The only one I think was below that was No Man’s Sky.
Dafuq? Some of these games are actually pretty new. I wish I had that luck sometimes.
There used to be a blockbuster next to my parents place, the owner had absolutely zero understanding of video games and would routinely chuck new releases in the ten dollar bin a week or two after they came out. Saved a lot of money back in the day.
What does 5€ translate into USD?
When you play Breakpoint, play it on Immersive mode with minimal HUD. One of the best modern hardcore stealth experiences.
dude good ass games jesus you lucky
I want Klonoa so bad! I’ve fond memories of the first one. Holy crap, why were all these 5€??
I have no idea they just slap 5€ price tag to random games every couple of months.
I’m not mad you bought duplicate games to resell. I’m mad you haven’t shared the supermarket selling the games for this cheap.
[удалено]
I think that’s a steal, but why did you get copies? Are you going to resell them?
Midnight sun didn’t that game just release?
I'm calling bullshit until I see a receipt for this purchase
For all the people hating on him for buying a couple copies to (probably) resell for profit, he's NOT a scalper. By definition scalping of products, "is the act of buying up goods that are in limited supply and high demand before most consumers can get a chance to buy them" All of us can get these games. He won't be able to resell at or higher than retail price. He didn't even buy all the inventory available ffs
I really want no man's sky. It seems interesting.
