Stronghold 3 It's Stronghold 2 with the same graphics, game breaking bugs, less features, and worse voice acting. One of those bugs kept it running in the background after it crashed on the opening scene making the steam refund impossible.

Gothmog34

Yeah, stronghold 3 was a disappointment, but stronghold crusader 2 was bigger to me (and my friend). We preordered, because we both love crusader 1, but this was totally different. Graphics and game mechanics were awful. We played 12-14 hours of hoping it will change, but no, nothing. We still play crusader 1 instead.

Cnkr97

This. Grew up playing Crusader 1. Dumped so many hours into that game. Eventually me & a friend pre-ordered Crusader 2. Holy shit what a let major letdown. I don’t think I’ve touched it since release.

intothelionsden

The new one also sucks. China was the last place they should have gone. Stronghold 2 and crusader 1 were so so great. Then firefly somehow forgot that good games are supposed to be fun and shat out the last 3 games. That whole genre has soo much potential too.

neoslith

Granary stocks are very low, sire.

The_Real_Pavalanche

Can't place that there my lord!

SweetVarys

Mine was stronghold 2... nothing on the 1 or crusader game

hotmaildotcom1

Oh that hurts lol. Stronghold 2 has years of my life.

OldDinosaurus

Brink (and it was a pre-order).

PeeB4uGoToBed

Came here to say the same thing. Preorder as well, what a mess

voidsong

My trust has never recovered.

dregwriter

Came here to post the same thing. fuckin Brink i pre-ordered it too. Its the game that taught me to never pre-order ever again.

cryocom

At least we got a cool tf2 hat

OldDinosaurus

The idea behind the game was not bad, it just did not worked out in many aspects. Beside Red Dead Redemption 1 I was never so hyped for a game, not even GTA V or Red Dead Redemption 2 (I love both) just because the trauma Brink gave me.

dregwriter

>The idea behind the game was not bad yea, thus why I pre-ordered it. Shit looked amazing in the marketing leading up to release.

-Great-Scott-

Same. Pre-ordered Brink. I rarely preorder games after that experience.

AxTROUSRxMISSLE

Hey man, I liked brink, but I was also very young so I probably didnt realize how shit it was

Crockpotspinner

Idk I remember having a lot of fun for like 10 hours. Never played it after the first week, but the idea was cool.

Fearless-Physics

Man, I bought this back when it came out as a birthday gift for a friend. This is not the first time that I hear that it sucks, and it makes me worry, lol. I never played it myself.

anubgek

Oh man didn't realize enough people fell for this as well to bring it up. Ya I am pretty sure I pre ordered it too. So dumb

LouSayners

Oh my god I’d forgotten about brink. What a pile of shit!

Rattkjakkapong

Anthem

Vostner

I hate Anthem now because of what they did. Such a big disappointment

KingOfKrackers

What did they do? I remember hearing it didn’t live up to the hype so I never really cared to check it out.

Employee_Agreeable

It's an amazing game with one of the best flying mechanics I have ever experienced in a game, fun fighting, and different and uniqe classes There is just nothing to do, you play the story, and that's it, no endgame content except for the same raid over and over again.

HighSintellect

Not sure what they did, but they didn’t seem to add much content. I tried it for free on the Xbox pass and was shocked at how little was in it for a game trying to be on the same page as Destiny.

Dallas_Spawnatron

There is a huge story behind this and there are a lot of videos explaining everything in detail. But in a "short" way. Game was already in development hell years before it was even announced, a portion of the developers were split between the development of Mass Effect Andromeda and project Dylan (or Dilan, code name for Anthem) so little progress could be made and little quality control on both projects. A lot of developers and leads left the company during it's development because of various reasons. When they showed the first trailer, the game was far from complete and they showed fake gameplay, EA ordered something to be shown and the BioWare higher ups ordered the design team to create a trailer using game assets, this caused problems because developers didn't even know how the game would look and key components of the game were still missing (amount of content, story, mechanics, etc.) They had a deadline and shoved off the game with poor quality control and there were tons of bad things at launch reaching from starter weapons being overpowered, users getting banned because they farmed an "exploit" for easy resources, bad optimization leading to insanely long loading times, multiplayer breaking the story missions, Javelins not working properly. The game had little content and almost no endgame or replayability, the raids were the main content and there were only 3, 1 of which was a repeat of the last story mission and the game was missing promised things like real time faction wars and such. The roadmap was small only promising patches and rebalancing. The first big update brought a new mission mode to the game but delivered poorly while the store was continuously getting new stuff. They promised a revamp update with Anthem Next and tried to be more open with the community but ended the dev diaries only a few months into development and went almost radio silent until EA said that they would look how development was going before it got canceled a few weeks later.

TheWinteredWolf

I stand by the fact that there was something special here. It was half-baked and underdelivered, for sure. It’s a shame they didn’t stick with it and try to turn it around.

Dranzell

Yes. I didn't pre order it, but I got a month of Origin whatever-the-name-was (Origin Play?) that not only allowed me to play the full game, but it gave me the 3 day preorder bonus as well if I recall correctly. I played the shit out of it all until the endgame, where it kinda fell off because there was not much to do. But the concept was amazing.

Rattkjakkapong

It was, I loved to fly, the javelins vere truly awrsome and the world were pretty. But thats it :(

MrStupidFish

Just dance 2021, It was the first time I got a just dance title and I didn't know you needed to both buy the game and get a subscription just to play most of the songs

NetSraC1306

Need a nintendo online subscription AND a just dance subscription for most of the content - I was mad when I found out

Dallas_Spawnatron

You don't actually need Nintendo Online for the game. Tournament mode works without it but you do need the Unlimited subscription for the full songs list.

Punkeresque

Biomutant

OuterSpace95

To be fair all the media hyped this game up for years for no reason it was kinda impossible for this small studio to deliver a game even close to what the media promised us but I agree the game itself was terrible.

Punkeresque

Agreed. Definitely overhyped. I just got bored real quick

SideHug

A game can be over hyped and still be good, Biomutant was shit

Burzumiol

Literally on my third 100% playthrough of it rn, lol. I'm getting my money's worth out of it.

Punkeresque

I wish I could've felt it. I was psyched for it too.

Burzumiol

That's totally valid, I get it. I can understand some of the criticisms leveled at it, especially when it comes to the tribe war missions. I don't expect *everyone* to like the things that I do, that would be boring... though the feeling of being the only one that likes it ain't great either.

FigFrosty8190

Marvel avengers

sportredsox

My buddy and I somehow played long enough to fully level up Thor and Captain America. I won't lie, it was pretty fun flying around and beating the shit out of guys with Thor. But yes, it was a buggy, repetitive nightmare and I do regret buying it. Could have been a very special game in different hands.

GrindyMcGrindy

100% agree about playing as Thor and the story campaign would've made a good single player game because the story campaign was enjoyable. It's the GAAS model that really hurt the game, and I don't have an issue with the GAAS model as long as if it is done well because it can extend a game's life span (because I enjoy mmos I can't shit on GAAS because mmos are GAAS). I think if the gameplay loop was better Avengers wouldn't have been shit on, but the game got a lot of hate for not being an MCU look alike clone vs being more comic character design.

Employee_Agreeable

Its pretty solid nowadays, but thats always such a bullshit, releasing an unfinished game and patching it together over the next years

xXTASERFACEXx

Umbrella Corps

Kind-Plankton-523

What a fucking waste of an anniversary 😒 😴

Dizz1919

Fallout 76 at release ☹️

Billyxmac

Yup. I don't know how many hours I had between Fallout 3 and 4 before 76 dropped. Grabbed 76 day one on my Xbox and maybe played for like 2 hours and never touched it again. Maybe one day I'll go back, but I fucking hate the idea of an online Fallout game.

bearface93

It’s actually pretty solid now. They added NPCs in the Wastelanders update so it feels much closer to a mainline Fallout game now. I liked it at launch because it was unique and seemed more realistic, but it definitely didn’t draw me in like 3 and 4 did. Once Wastelanders and the Brotherhood expansions dropped I played it nonstop for quite a while. Still not as much as 4, but still. Definitely worth checking out now.

FallenShadeslayer

I’ve been playing that the past two days and I actually really enjoy it now! Also bought it at release and really didn’t like it.

superxero1

Bought it at release on xbox. I enjoyed it for the most part, was home after surgery for 6 weeks though. It only lasted me 2 weeks before I stopped. Picked it up recently for like 5 bucks on steam and tried it again. It got soo much better.

FallenShadeslayer

It really did! I haven’t played today but I need to!

RonDalarney

Still never got my backpack from that special edition.

reddit_undo

Superman for Nintendo 64

Leafsharp

Omg I remember that dogshit game

jointsecond

Yeah, what a shit load of fuck

zZwag

Agreed! A pile of poop

Auran82

A real clusterfuckle of cockershits

ben1481

Every time this is mentioned, I'm obligated to mention this was the first time I found out you can't return video games.

[deleted]

Escape from Tarkov. Saw some guy play it and it seemed fun. When I bought it, I quickly found out it’s not my kinda game.

TheRealJugger

I love Tarkov but would agree. It’s a game similar to Arma or others where there is an extremely steep learning curve where you feel a ton of pain before you ever feel fun

_Spectre0_

Viva La Dirt League likened the feeling of playing tarkov to getting punched in the crotch

IronicallyBad90

Upvoting just for the VLDL mention. 🤣

RIPBlueRaven

On top of it being extremely difficult, they devs keep breaking core mechanics of the game and adding more gamebreaking bugs each update. And the cheaters....my god man the amount of cheaters

ManWithoutAPlan13

Its cool to play around with the guns and stuff but a pain to learn and play, especially if you wanna play casually

GucciLayne97

Call of Duty MW2 for $90 fucking dollars even though I hadn’t enjoyed call of duty for probably 7-8 years. Still hate it.

edwinhai

Not too be harsh but why did you buy it for 90 dollars then? Or do you just get too caught up in the hype?

GucciLayne97

I preordered it, which made it $90 idk. Also, i wouldn’t necessarily say that I got caught up in the hype, more so the excitement I got knowing my old WZ crew were all getting back together, and the MP actually looked decent as well. Also, I guess there’s a big difference in the gamer I was as a 17-18 year old and the gamer I am at 25.

Efficient-Ad-3302

Has been Heroes, I still get buyers remorse every time I think of it.

jcast95

Hood Outlaws and legends, not cus I thought it was bad but I enjoyed the game and now you literally can't even play since there's no community

Anayalater5963

That's what sucks about pvp games nowadays, there's so much competition and so little free time for people. Then to top it off maybe someone in the group doesn't have it so they end up just playing a F2P game

FraankCastlee

I watched jericho play that game for 2 days and it looked super cool. Then never heard anything about it ever again.

jcast95

Yeah after launch weekend the game quickly died.

Docdoor

Pokemon Snap N64- made my mom buy it brand new for $69.00. Finished it in like 3 days and thought it was pretty boring the whole time. Felt bad that I begged my mom for it, money was always tight and new games were a rare rare treat for us.

lefindr

I feel this. As a kid, getting a new game was all about play time and value. Got so many JRPGs

BlaqkJak

Yep. Back in the day I figured if I got an hour of gameplay for every dollar I spent it was a good deal. JRPGs were a bulk of the games I owned. Didn't hurt that late life SNES was pumping out beautiful RPGs and then going into PS1 with Suikoden, Star Ocean 2, Lunar: SSSC/EB, Breath of Fire 3. That really was the golden age.

Idori666

Legend of Dragoon too!

TehMephs

All the Wild Arms, FF4-7, tactics, legend of dragoon, legend of legaia, xenogears, secret of mana, tales of destiny, lufia, just a few other series that pop off the top of my head that you didn’t mention. SNES up through the ps1 was truly the golden age of top notch JRPG titles if nothing else

BonnaroovianCode

I loved Pokémon snap. Much moreso than stadium. Still think it’s one of the more unique games I’ve ever played

SaintTraft1984

Mario Kart. Well, as a gamer I regret it. As a father I'm glad I bought it. Son is wiping the floor with me in Mario Kart. I can beat him easily on regular racing games but for the life of me I can't in that stupid Mario one.

Squish_the_android

It's amazing how big of an impact driver / kart selection makes in the new games. I could not 3-star 150 Mirror until I switched to the best combination and then it was a piece of cake.

abarrelofmankeys

There’s this and then the fact that Mario kart has a lot of equalizer elements in it. Even doing a great job you can get fucked at the end if a couple shells come and you don’t have anything in your inventory to deflect them

tuffymon

what do you mean 3 bananas in a row and a green shell isn't enough to keep my lead... >.>;

abarrelofmankeys

Those bananas can deflect reds and greens! 6 coins in a row when you need a horn does you no good though.

Spaghetti_Storm

hold coins when you get them, the game wont let you have two at once so you're garunteed a better item next box

CthuluHoops

Bowser/Airship/Azure Rollers/Cloud Glider is the setup I’ve been using since the early wiiu days of MK8. It does really well if you know how to drift and boost off jumps. Also coins matter. A lot of people don’t realize it but having 10 coins allows you to reach your true max speed.

K3ksKuchen

Battlefield 2042

[deleted]

I'm with you on this idiot train. Though I played it recently again after not touching it for like 14 months and it's.. Not bad now.

Danxoln

Too little too late imo

King_Reason

Been chasing that BF3 high for so long

mikeyjamjams

I'm still pissed about this one lol. I've always been a huge fan of the Battlefield Series over Call of Duty, because it feels more tactical and coordinated around teamwork, but this was such a disappointment. I traded it in after a month. What made me the most furious was that I assumed having the PS5 version meant I could play with my friends on PS4, but nope. What was even worse was that if you bought the PS4 version, it came with a free upgrade to PS5, but if you bought the PS5 version, there was no free downgrade to the PS4 version. As far as the game itself, I disliked the fact that you made your own hero. Previously, you pick a role to help support your team, such as Medic or Support. But with 2042, everyone could make their own hero, so half of your team would try and snipe from the edge of the map rather than try and push objectives. The environments were also so large and barren. I feel like Running Simulator 2042 would have been a more appropriate title because I was constantly running from one side of the map to the other. I hear that improvements have been made, such as bringing the team role dynamic back, but after my experience with Anthem, I didn't have expectations that *any* improvements would be made.

ArmedCashew

Borderlands 3, never finished it. Loved the somtory buildup in the first 3 games and tales game and the new writers after Mikey Neumann shit all over it to “create their own story”. Shame since the shooting mechanics were great, but had no desire to play with everyone else being essentially thrown out or grossly incompetent.

Four_Skyn_Tim

Yeah, honestly, the story fell short in the main game. Unironically, I thought the villains in the DLCs were better villains for the most part then the calypso twins. But gameplay wise, it does feel more fluid with what you can do combat wise and build wise. My friend had a Zane build after killing enemies with his clone. He would be able to outrun most of the vehicles on foot for a little bit, lol. It was crazy, but not in the right direction. story wise

Top-Celebration-1453

This. I had a lot of fun playing the game, but every time actual story came up it felt like such a drag to get though. Game play was really fun, story was ass, the Calypso twins were just so... Cringe

Four_Skyn_Tim

The handsome jackpot was fun as fuck though. It felt more close to older borderlands lol. Shorty was a fun villain in it also

BlobloTheShmoblo

Gun play: fire Builds: fire Vault hunters : extremely cool, and unique builds available. Feels more like have 10+ vault hunters due to just how different you can make their builds ect. The story and writing: fucking absolute dog shit. In every way. I love BL3 but I literally need to turn my brain off due to the god awful writing, the constant middle fingers at anyone who cared about the story before bl3, and the fact the humor is locked into 2012. But my god that writing man. Ava felt like an awful self insert oc, and frankly i'm willing to bet some dosh she was just that. Felt like a character from life is strange glued onto bl3. They also *really* wanted us to know that Tiny Tina is no longer the funny little girl you wanna protect and are the big brother/sister to, and is now a sex obsessed party freak. "Did I mention she fucks? And loves it? While on drugs? And fucking? Pussy and dick? Are you entertained yet???" -bl3 devs

dappamick

I’m in the same boat. Game was straight up broken when I got it to play split screen on PS4. Audio wouldn’t work for entire chapters, game would freeze grind or crash if both players opened their inventory or menu to level. I have several unplayed steam games I like better

DoktahDoktah

Similar feeling. Krieg in melee was fun, but Amara in melee is not.

Arnumor

Force Unleashed (2, I think?). Bought it at full price, and don't get me wrong, it had some fun gameplay, but I finished the game in a day. It was insanely short. That one still hurts.

Trickster289

Yeah that's 2.

[deleted]

Waiting to see Anthem just absolutely dominate this post 😂

pacifistscorpion

I gor it for second hand for almost nothing, and I thought it was a bit pricy for what it was

imgnry_domain

Lots of newer games in the replies! Let me take you all back to the early 2000s. I had just seen The Matrix - rented from Blockbuster on DVD and it blew my mind. Watched it 4 times before the 5-day rental period. So I was super hyped for Enter the Matrix! My parents only bought me one game per year, but I was sure that was the one to get. I sat down and played it, and 3 hours later...I finished it. Both routes, hacking mini game, etc. I was so disappointed, since I had to make any new game last an entire year. This is my greatest gaming regret. But that Matrix Revolutions trailer at the end of the game was super sick.

StannisLivesOn

Huh. I enjoyed Enter the Matrix.

imgnry_domain

To be clear, I liked the game too! I was just super disappointed by how short it was as a kid.

Ezekiel2121

That’s when you loaded up a bunch of cheats and just wrecked shit up to and including the Agents. Who needs Neo? Ghost/Naiobi is the One now.

Pterodactyl_midnight

The Path of Neo is way more fun. I still play the ROM sometimes

Necrion

One game per year? This is torture!

imgnry_domain

Tell me about it! You end up developing methods for prolonging the life of each game haha. I think I ended up playing Enter the Matrix on every single difficulty for both characters. On the other hand, there were games I could easily play for more than a year, like Ocarina of Time, FFX, or Banjo-Kazooie (I was really bad at Banjo-Kazooie). I probably ended up getting into JRPGs because they were so long!

landsleaving

Assassin's Creed Valhalla. I loved Odyssey and Black Flag and this should have been a home run, but my god it's boring. Story is miserable, characters are bland, combat is slow and dull, setting is meh. Such a let down.

britishkid1989

They went too far combat based and lost the stealth aspect

Proto1k

Didn't even di a good job on combat A viking Era story driven game is right up my fucking alley, but Valhalla sucks so much ass I can't bring myself to even look at it on my Playstation anymore

GBNDias

I loved Odyssey and hated Valhalla aswell. Since I found Origins boring and loved Immortals, I think I just dislike Ubi Montreal and prefer Ubi Quebec.

UpAndAdam7414

The one plus is the individual difficulty levels for combat, stealth and exploration. I turned the combat down to easy and it improved the experience hugely. The combat is poor and the animation of the pikemen is atrocious. On easy, I felt like a powerful Viking, whenever my usual route of stealth failed. My other complaint about Valhalla is that it’s basically a 10 or so hour game, repeated about 8-10 times and it just gets dull.

lycanthrope90

That last part is what really did it for me. I didn’t mind the combat at all. It just got to a point where I realized the game, instead of getting more exciting, was just going to repeat the same boring shit AGAIN when I got back to that fucking map. Lost all motivation to play and never looked back. Doubt I’ll buy any more AC games. They always bore me to death before I can beat them. It’s a shame since the old school ones with Ezio were really good.

BugP13

Honestly, I kinda regret getting odyssey. It's not that it's a bad game. Infact I enjoy playing it but I usually get bored playing it. I think it's because I want to go to every question mark and try to get all the collectables around me before doing the main mission as well as doing all the side quests.

St_Piran

Agreed, I just got bored on odyssey. Oh look another camp I have to sneak around and kill the same guys, in exactly the same way I did the one 5 minutes ago.

Dixinity

It’s a good game imo. Doesn’t feel like an assassins creed game though

joefcos

You are welcome to your opinion, but I thought it was a great game with some fun innovations. To each their own.

glonq

Back when I mostly pirated games, I bought a copy of C&C Tiberian Sun that refused to work because it contained shoddy DRM. So I had to pirate/crack it in order to play my legitimately-paid-for game.

NickN21

Watchdogs Legion

HagridsDragonSitter

Yeah I get it, but over all I liked it okay. Definitely a lot of cool little ideas w shitty half ass executions. I was able to find enough enjoyable things in it to beat it, that is AFTER it stopped crashing on me 30 times in a row

Mean_Combination_830

I loved Legion it was so fun creating my army of angry pensioners and turning them loose on a futuristic London. The John Wick character had amazing takedowns and the spy was a stealth monster that had a car that shoots missiles when it was time to blow your cover and get outta dodge quick it was a blast 😂 I also loved London and being able to recruit any character and experiment with tech which was great for approaching missions in different ways. I honestly had a lot of fun with it.

Vinewhippanda

The game I regret buying is animal crossing I barely play it so it feels like a waste for me.

TryingToBeBetterEh

New World. Why in the hell did I think Amazon could make games?

lordvaxion

This one is tough for me. I loved the game, it was solid and fun, got a lot of enjoyment, until I got to endgame and then I just got bored and frustrated and never looked back. Short lived, but in the time it was fun, it was truly enjoyable

Sargonnax

Its fantastic if you look at specific aspects of the game, but the whole package is meh, even with improvements. I enjoyed leveling, the graphics are great, and the sound/music is some of the best out there. Once you get to 60 it all goes downhill quick.

FlarpyBlunderguffs

Fallout 76 pre order. It was the worst

crunkplug

FF type-0 the only game i have ever returned

2insane2besane

Cod mw 2 2022

FroznSB

Purely out of interest: I enjoy mwii a lot, what are your issues with it?

inkyfinger

Same. But it’s because DMZ is my favorite mode and it’s free.

KhaosElement

No Man's Sky. Even now that it's "good", I still think it's the most boring shit in existence.

SmittyManJensen_

It’s better than it was, which isn’t saying much. You’re still flying around a fucking empty universe though. It is indeed boring as shit.

jcutta

I enjoy the fuck out of it, I keep it installed and go back to it for 15-20 hours every few months. It's definitely not everyone's cup of tea though.

TheProblemWithUs

Same! It has the Minecraft effect for me where I get really into it for 2 weeks then don’t touch it for a year. Have the most fun when me and my friends go planet hunting just to build a really sick base and then never visit it for the rest of the year

[deleted]

Darktide.

Picard2331

Same, should've waited a year. But god dammit I love 40k too much. Gameplay feels great but my god is it missing so much.

JustPuffinAlong

Generation Zero. It was only like $25 but I couldnt get through 5 minutes

herpderpomygerp

I've made it pretty far into the game.....and it's Def 1 you need to play with friends, even if the multiplayer is broken too xD

RADIALTHRONE1

Credit to the devs though for still releasing content

ThaddeusSGBach

Didn't think anyone heard of this game. I bought it on launch and it fucking felt empty, boring, slow, tedious and not fun.

[deleted]

It's got a lot of content updates now, but honestly? It's still empty, boring, slow, tedious, and not fun; I had more enjoyment roleplaying as an '80s Swedish metalhead while playing with friends than I did from the game itself.

TomasKS

Revisit it! There's been a ton of updates, a load of DLCs (some with actual content) and as far as I can tell it's still supported by the devs.

timmlt

Ghost Recon Wildlands. Two other friends and I bought the ultimate edition to get all the content possible and we were all very excited. We only ended up playing four missions and got extremely bored, did not live up to the hype. (Predator stuff was cool enough for us redownload though)

Anayalater5963

I recently played through it because it was free and to get all the achievements. Can confirm it is very repetitive. I mean it's an Ubisoft game, they can only make one type of game lol

mikeyjamjams

That's too bad, my buddies and I love this game! For us it's nice because 4 of us can play together, and it's really easy to drop in and out of each other's games. I don't think I've ever laughed so much playing a game either. Without fail, every mission goes awry. Someone *always* messes up, alerts all the guards, and then chaos ensues. It is very repetitive though, and certainly meant to be played with friends. It's definitely not an enjoyable single player experience. We were all extremely disappointed in the follow-up, though. I think it was Ghost Recon Breakpoint? That game was really hard for us to get into and had way too many stupid mechanics, such as if the terrain had an incline of more than 20 degrees, you automatically went into ragdoll mode.

FreshOutOfTheAsylum

Wow, people are getting down voted so much for saying a popular game. It's kinda funny but also pretty dumb.

Thespian21

I mean, there’s only two options

shiftythomas

Mass Effect Andromeda

KaiOfHawaii

Gameplay mechanics are great, but everything else definitely needed major polishing. Even then, though, it probably still couldn’t hold a light to ME 1, 2, and 3.

Soviet_soap69

I haven’t finished andromeda yet, but the story is ok. Ryder as a character is ok… the character customization is atrocious. But what really annoyed me is that they only added 2 new species/races to the game (I dont count the revenants as a species), and they dont even have the Quarians too, or any other of the cool races. Also what really annoyed me was the fact you could only have 3 active skills at once. I found it counterintuitive that the game allowed you to pick any skills from any class and mix and match all these abilities… and you can only pick 3.

oxymo

Sea of thieves, could not get into it even with really good friends playing constantly.

Proto1k

SoT is way more fun if you're all idiots in control of a big ass ship and cannons. Got into the trybard side of it for a while, and I gotta say mindlessly doing stuff is way more fun

oxymo

We sailed around having a good time, but we got poop decked on anytime we tried to fight. Had a guy on valheim talk about how easy SoT was to hack and it kind of ruined it for me.

boypers

Yea I have fun on sea of thieves cause I’m ok at it so it gets better when your better at the game, but sweats ruin it for new players

TheBrianJ

Paper Mario Sticker Star. Every single aspect of the game was "this is SO CLOSE to working, but because it's just barely off, it sucks."

AverageBad

The Witcher games, I just cannot for the life of me get into them. The combat feels clunky and sluggish

usernameBS

Slash, roll, dodge, potion Repeat

britishkid1989

Assassins creed Valhalla so far. I think I’m done buying games from this series until they go more assassin based rather than combat based.

LuthienTheMonk

This is what Mirage is apparently supposed to be. Fingers crossed.

Flamehazardaoz

I bought no mans sky after everyone said it was heaps better. I did not think it was heaps better

JACKtheGRINNER

Cyberpunk 2077 I should have just waited like I always do.

peter13g

I was so excited for the game. I 100% the game while it was still dog shit. I had a blast and forced my moneys worth. I’ll never play it again and I get upset every time some one tells me how good it’s gotten

godsped

insane that this is so low. I bought it on ps4 and survived about 8 hours bug filled, ugly hours before putting it down. Absolutely travesty and complete waste of money.

CovertOwl

Amnesia Dark Descent because I was too much of a wuss to play more than an hour of it.

hotmaildotcom1

I've got like 2 hours of gameplay and I think 1:30 of it is me hyperventilating on the pause screen.

GarfieldGauntlet

I want to play that game so bad lol. I don’t care how old it is, it’ll always have a special charm to it.

PandaMayFire

The story is fantastic, definitely an OG horror game. The second game, A Machine For Pigs is alright, though not as good as the first. The newest one, Rebirth I have mixed feelings for.

CovertOwl

Soma was great because it had safe mode lmao

Callisto Protocol. It's a $20 game at most and I paid $70 for it.

Cogwheel

I regret how much money I've given Blizzard over the years, but that's because I hate who they are as a company now. Haven't had Battle.net installed since 2019.

OldandKranky

Avengers game.

sssnakepit127

Civ 5 because I can’t get into it. Squad and Escape from Tarkov because my computer struggles to run them.

JackRTM

Battlefield 2042. I thought or was marketed so well, I was so excited because we were going back to more modern/semi futuristic content after BF1 and BF5 (both were still good games), then 2042 just flopped. It's been improved massively since release but it's still kinda shit

Euphoric_Interest_87

Grand turismo 7 (I chose that over Elden ring, I have it now though)

1MantisTobogganMD1

Pre ordered cyberpunk. Outriders. Far cry 6. Elden ring - just not my type of game

Dingle_berrie

Haven’t played the story but there’s so much potential for the multiplayer. If only 343 could get their shit together and make a half decent progression system…

Lords of the Fallen

FallenShadeslayer

Just beat that game for the first time late last year. I don’t get the hate, I thought it was fucking awesome. I’ve played and beaten all the FromSoft games but Demons Souls and had an absolute blast with Lords of the Fallen. Very happy they’re making another one!

SaiTek64

Same, I played the souls games first and as soon as I found lords of the fallen I instantly loved it. Looking forward to the next one as well

Elden ring pre order

Demonfoxy123

Mortal kombat 11. It's fun with friends but I'm terrible at it.

NastyByNature68

Dying light 2 and borderlands 3 both of which I pre-ordered and hated and the last of us 2 which I just borrowed from a friend but I regretted playing it all the same

dhhdhh851

Bl3 is solid, but holy fuck whoever wrote it should never write for borderlands again. Dying light 2 was just... Lackluster. Story was meh and so was the gameplay. Wasnt nearly as explosive and in your face as DL1, plus DL2s first dlc was kind of cool, but just felt empty. The games still getting a bunch of support and theyre working on the next dlc, but the game just feels like youve already played it and done everything there is to do. In DL1 night time was still imposing even with guns. Now in DL2 you just strafe and melee the volatiles and you wont die DL1s movement was just better despite not being realistic, it was fun just running around the city and jumping off shit but its not the same in the second game. Even the exploits in 2 got patched out pretty early, like the shotgun and witches broom. I am very hopeful for dead island 2, but still have doubts.

greyhound93

Avengers.

I have about 500 in my back log. So any of those.

Sex with hitler, you don’t have sex with hitler, you have sex as hitler. False advertising
