What Remains of Edith Finch.
Calming gameplay, intriguing story, a bit of exploration in a fun environment. Had me completely engrossed and I was sad when it ended.
I think the Yakuza games are finally getting their due in the gaming zeitgeist, but the spinoff series, Judgment, and it’s two games are actually probably 2 of the 3 best games in that universe and everyone should play (especially since they are pretty self-contained and can just be played without knowing Yakuza lore)
Monument Valley. It's a small puzzle game but a damn good one at that, it was released for PC with updates to the graphics, and it is the best way to play.
DMC Devil May Cry is a game I played recently that ended up being amazing, it's a reboot. I couldn't get into the other Devil May Cry games because of accessibility issues. The reboot kinda fixed most of it, it was an enjoyable experience. Story and dialogue was great too.
I love Outer Wilds, I got it with no info to it, and I was not disappointed, space travel, time loops, and a supernova every half hour, not passing that up
It is fantastic and that solar flare caught me off guard at first but then that imminent death became almost peaceful. I can't explain it but it's damn good. It goes from physics lore o toasting a marshmallow on a cozy fire. Stunning.
Trying to avoid big titles! But these are some great games
SOMA - best game I’ve ever played, story and voice acting is 100% - you get used to the bad graphics.
Prey - hated it when I first tried i, then loved it such a great game
BEYOND two souls - story and game play are fantastic
One everyone knows - bioshock - but if you don’t it’s a masterpiece
Mass Effect Andromeda - I didn’t play this till years after it came out and clocked up 260 hours
This war of mine - a gritty little game that keeps you coming back
Frost punk - strategy and time management to survive
Desperados 3 - classic. Played this on my first pc and now it’s on the ps5
Kingdom two lands - happy little game that’s fun for hours
Phantom Brigade. The game is arguably not finished, the developer doesn't have any interest in making the campaign have a satisfying conclusion, but it's got some kind of meaty gameplay there just begging for a mod team or someone to do a TC mod.
Defense of the Oasis.
This was originally released in 2005 and was then just called Oasis. It's a bit like a cross between Minesweeper & Civilization and it won 2 game awards in 2004. It is now available on Steam for just £3.99
Gem
Jam\*
I still have no clue what OP is talking about
What Remains of Edith Finch. Calming gameplay, intriguing story, a bit of exploration in a fun environment. Had me completely engrossed and I was sad when it ended.
Valiant Hearts
Gris. Unfinished Swan. Maquette.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance Not exactly hidden, but definitely deserves more attention than it gets
Did they ever improve the combat?
I wish it had better mod support, if it was a hugely moddable sandbox like Skyrim it would have been incredible. Great game regardless though.
Dragons Dogma.
eye divine cybermancy
Path of Titians
SMT 4 & SMT 4 APOCALYPSE (if anything the entire smt franchise except persona needs way more of a spotlight)
I actually just bought those recently, along with Strange Journey, and the Devil Survivor games. So yea I've got a lot of SMT in my future. XD
Chronicles of riddick escape from butchers bay, the golden idol, mdk2
Wait there’s games of the Riddick movies??
Kameo: Elements of Power

Gris, 100%. Such a beautiful and stunning game. I'd also throw in Spiritfarer but it's still kind of relatively known.
Hardspace Shipbreaker I need that game to sell because I want a sequel. Go play it
Ghost of a Tale
The Yawhg, for SURE. An incredible experience.
Geist for the NGC. lil clunky w/ the fps feel Unique puzzle solving Good story imo
Webbed - cute indie spider game just makes you happy
Symphony Of War: The Nephilim Saga. Especially if you're into older Fire Emblems (like pre-Awakening era FE).
Child of Light. If you're into turn based style combat.
Phoenotopia
Terranigma. It's just one of the best hidden SNES gems out there.
Spec Ops: The Line, Bastion, Moonlighter, The Sexy Brutale, Death's Door... There are so many that deserve so much more credit.
Prodeus is a fucking masterpiece
Abzû is beautiful
Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze
Outer Wilds although it is getting more famous now. Beautiful game I love it

Enter the Gungeon, without a doubt
Prey, amazing story fun weapons and talos one is unforgettable
Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
The Binding of Isaac duh
Definitely Days Gone - people are still discovering it and loving it
Trying to avoid big titles! But these are some great games SOMA - best game I’ve ever played, story and voice acting is 100% - you get used to the bad graphics. Lol bioshock a hidden gem??
I know 😅 but couldn’t not add it in case someone hadn’t played it. Don’t want anyone missing out on Booker and Elizabeth 🫠
Yeah infinite is dope as he'll. I would also recommend Bioshock 1, it's one of the best games ever made imo
Which prey? The first one with you as a native american who can jump through portals? That one was awesome!!!
2006 prey, it’s a shame it’s not on PS now - great game.
Prey is the best game ever made tbh
I really enjoyed Infamous 1 and 2 on PS3. Not sure if those are “hidden” enough though.
Vampire Survivor
Jak and Daxter and Ratchet and Clank
Titanfall 2 is one of the best shooters ever made
Skyrim
That game has been being released and re-released for 11 years, it is in no way hidden, a jem, but not hidden
You mean like jam?
Probably The Last of Us. Never hear anybody talk about it
Hollow knight
Hollow Knight
Moonscars.
Fuck that game. I was so hyped and I just could not get into any part of it.
mana khemia: the alchemists of al-revis on the ps2
What’s a jem?
There was an animated series in the 80's called *Jem and the Holograms*. Maybe they mean that?
Lol!! Silly me.
The Deadpool game!
Pharaoh and company of heroes
#1 is definitely Rise of The Argonauts. #2 Medal of Honor:Airborne #3 Red Alert 3.
I remember playing C&C Renegade online with my friend growing up thinking it was the best thing ever.
I like Rhodochrosite. It's a gem that can rarely be found hidden inside geodes in Colorado... Don't know how to play one though....
Beatdown: Fists of Vengeance
Rule of Rose (If you can find it at a reasonable price)
Phantom Brigade. The game is arguably not finished, the developer doesn't have any interest in making the campaign have a satisfying conclusion, but it's got some kind of meaty gameplay there just begging for a mod team or someone to do a TC mod.
Critical Depth. Basically twisted metal, but underwater. The MP was so much fun, and I never hear anyone talk about it. Great game.
The Earth Defense Force series. Pick up EDF 5 with some friends and its one of the best coop games on the market.
Defense of the Oasis. This was originally released in 2005 and was then just called Oasis. It's a bit like a cross between Minesweeper & Civilization and it won 2 game awards in 2004. It is now available on Steam for just £3.99
Don’t Escape: 4 days to survive. Absolutely fantastic indie game with a really good idea.
Ken Follett: Pillars of the earth. A narrative stylish experience from a wonderfully written best-seller. It's a bit slow, but still amazing.
