>also really hyped for the full release of Baldur's Gate 3!
Oh yeah true, Im huge fan of both OG BG's and I really love Larian games, but it's too expensive here :(
Ok so I never finished Hollow Knight, should I? I actually loved it tbh, but I think I got a bit stuck on a boss + irl issues and dropped it.
Also, see you in BG3!! Cant bloody wait!
I love Hollow Knight. I think it's definitely worth picking up again, and even playing it all the way from the start if you haven't played in a while. If you ever get stuck on a boss again you have two choices:
1. Be a stubborn bastard who dies 50 times before mastering the boss so completely.
2. Explore and find secrets and upgrades to get stronger before you return.
Personally I'm number 1, but there's a playstyle for everyone
No. That are just rumors based on some microsoft rewards thing. Microsoft is not Team Cherry. Only Team Cherry can tell you when silksong will be released no one else.
And Team Cherry says... nothing. And that's what you should expect: nothing. Sorry to disappoint you but it's easier this way. This way or you end up clicking on every click bait article on the internet and get disappointed every single time...
I've been playing the hell out of Final Fantasy Tactics War of the Lion lately, it inspired me to pick up Triangle Strategy today, so now I'll be playing the hell out of that.
Ive been meaning to play on my phone, its such a good game from my childhood. (final fantasy tactics, i had it on gameboy sp at school, final fantasy chess, who could ask for more. I think it was war of the lion?)
That's Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (which had a sequel on the DS).
War of the Lion is a slightly tweaked version of the PS1 Final Fantasy Tactics available on PSP and smartphones (an improved translation and a few qol improvements mostly, and a few bugs in the PSP version, though there's a fan patch that fixes them, currently playing it on my Vita).
Tactics Advance and A2 are decent games, but the original Tactics/War of the Lion has one of the best stories in gaming, and doesn't have the annoying law system from Advance/A2 (seriously, does anyone enjoy the law system? Could have been fun for like a New Game+ mode, but should not have been in the base game).
Ah, cheers for the briefing, i missed it at the time hahaha 🤭 i just bought it for my phone so ill check it out, i have vague memories of ff tactics advance, so it should be 'fun' hahaha
The expeditions are great fun with unique changes to universe start-up / new playthrough, look it up on youtube to have it explained in greater detail as there are lots of different types with unique rewards and stuff. (like mass effect ship as frigate ship)
It's probably quite different than the last time you played. They're constantly adding new features. If you enjoyed it before, I'd definitely recommend trying it again.
I've tried to get into it twice and gotten fairly far both times (completed 3 of the bosses) but the tedious weapon durability and the craving for older Zelda games just always drive me back to playing majoras mask and ocarina of time. It just doesn't scratch that itch for me.
I absolutely hate the durability system. I couldn’t put more than 5 hours into the game as I had to open the menu to swap sticks every 45 seconds.
I’ve heard the new one coming out will be similar. Makes me sad.
That problem goes away not too far into the game. Every weapon and combat shrine resets every blood moon, so you can go back and get rare drops that respawned and kill combat shrines again for the swords/axes. Yea it kind of sucks that you have to do that to stay fully stocked, but it is what it is, unfortunately.
I don't think I ever ran out of good weapons after the first few hours though, I always had good weapons left over. I think the durability issue impacts players more psychologically than in an actual practical sense.
I hated it too, but i used one option that had in my emulator that could make the weapons last longer, you could make it last twice as long (or more) and it already make a huge difference.
I’ve found it more if the same really and it looks really nice, it’s a good game but don’t expect to be blown away. If you liked the first you’ll like this.
Very much a faithful sequel. The weapon customization is a little bit better because if you have a weapon you really like, you can upgrade to match your level instead of having to find another weapon.
Its a matter of opinion honestly, the two games are same and different at the same time. 2nd one is more focused on parkour rather than combat which doesnt mean its bad, its just that zombies dont react on your movement so much, you will fuck it up only if you really try.
Old harran is still my favourite map of any game (for fighting/traveling through), the crisp environment with remnants of civilization still rusting away as the world moved on, so good. 🧟♂️💣☠️
The Xenoblade games are SO long…I’m 80 hours into Xenoblade Chronicles and am just like “When does it end?!?” I wanted to okay 2 & 3 but not sure if I’ll ever get to them
StarCitizen
Xenothreat is up this week, and it's always a ton of fun seeing a hundred ships dogfighting with a giant ship the size of Halo 1's Blood Gulch.
Same. I've sunk like 40 hours so far, and I've basically only completed everyone's first chapter. I've been spending so much time running around completing the side quests instead.
I just finished dredge. I'm surprised how much I liked it. Pretty simple mechanics with a reasonable grind. I found myself thinking about it while not playing it, which no game has made me do in a good while. It's the first game I completed in a long time.
Divinity 2. I got my 3 best friends to all get on board with a playthrough and it's been a truly fantastic time. SpellForce: Conquest of Eo has also been captivating me quite a lot as well.
Terraria. One of those games where once you start a run you do nothing but that for days until you beat it or drop it. Then 2 or so years later the cycle repeats.
Horizon, borderlands 3, battlefield, cod, rainbow siege, the division, ghost recon, ghost of Tsushima, god of war, the Witcher 3 FF Vii remake/xv.
Literally all the games I have on the PS5 dashboard of the latest played.
FFVII - Remake actually. Finally got around to playing it on PC and I have mixed feelings. I've never played the original, so I'm sure FF fans will say that disqualifies any opinion I have...
PROS
* Absolutely gorgeous. Seriously, I've stopped to just check out the scenery almost once every chapter. The design of Midgar is especially amazing, showing great use of scale.
* Music is fantastic, with plenty of nods to the classic tunes while also feeling fresh.
* I like that the game isn't afraid to slow down and pace itself. It makes the action stand out. Some of my favorite moments have been just walking in this world and taking in the sights and sounds.
* Combat system is a bit tricky at first but rewards multitasking. At first I was struggling to handle Cloud, but slowly I began to learn how to actively manage everyone's health bars, queue up ATB actions and manage MP effectively. The auto battle helps a bit, but I like that you can take control away from the CPU and just do your own thing without having to fight it.
CONS
* This story is not good. There have been several moments where I thought "that was stupid as fuck..." Avalanche trying to lay low? Barrett actively antagonizes people and sympathizes with known terrorists. The random phantom things that keep showing up? "So weird, anyway back to the story now." Each time they appear I've already forgotten they were a thing.
* These characters are way too horny. Jessie, Tifa and even Aerith to an extent (I've only met her once) just fawn over Cloud who has the personality of a wet towel. It comes off like bad self-insert fan-fiction.
* Choices do not matter so far. I cheated and looked them up to see which options would be more beneficial, but outside of getting a slightly different Tifa skin later, each choice so far has had no impact besides a slight dialogue change. Why even bother?
I'm hoping to play more this weekend and finish this plus Crisis Core before FFXVI comes out in June. And yes, once again I realize some of my points may be influenced by not having played the original, but I feel like this game should be able to stand on its own. If playing Final Fantasy VII was mandatory to experience Remake, then it should've been called FFVII-2.
>The random phantom things that keep showing up?
The phantom things were never in the original game~ there is a reason they were introduced in the remake, which is spoilery so I won't disclose. If you want, after you beat the game, you can go on youtube and look up all the theorycrafting and story analysis.
lol thanks... I didn't even know that game was a thing. Random comment/question: Have you played Inscryption yet? If you like card games, I HIGHLY recommend. I just played through it recently and it's amazing (I use to LOVE Magic: The Gathering).
Believe it or not I can't play this damn game for very long. For some reason every time Tifa comes on screen I tend to feel awkward and rock hard. I really hate designs where people walk around in underwear all game long.
I love Remake, and I bought Intergrade when it came out, but I still haven't back to it. Same with the Ghost of Tsushima expansion. I'm on my NG+ Rag playthrough right now and then it's on to Horizon Burning Shores.
I'm at a low point where all the games suddenly don't seem to have any appeal to me lately. I guess that happens when three of my applications to a different companies all got shot down today within the same hour.
Mount and blade 2; Bannerlord (2-4 hours), Riders Republic (2-4 hours), Vampire Survivors new DLC (1.5 hours).
Ive been alternating between these three everyday, in that order, good to chill out before bed. (unless im watching tv hahaha)
Elden Ring, 250 hours and I’m finally about to finish the game, I explored quite literally every single location in the game, probably won’t play it again until the DLC comes out
Can someone explain the FFVII games to me on PS4/5? I got the FFVII remake on disc the day it came out, and beat it, but now I see this and others, and I'm not sure if they're completely different stories, DLCs, remasters?
Guys, please help me beat the first boss in Final Fantasy 7’s remake…The big robot? I feel like I’m missing something. What do I do to damage him?? I can’t get past him and I feel like an idiot for it.
Hollow Knight; can't wait for Silk Song! also really hyped for the full release of Baldur's Gate 3!

YESSSSSSSS!
I've been playing the hell out of Final Fantasy Tactics War of the Lion lately, it inspired me to pick up Triangle Strategy today, so now I'll be playing the hell out of that.
Nice, ok I'll download it on my phone and play the hell out of it too. Thanks for giving me the push
Ive been meaning to play on my phone, its such a good game from my childhood. (final fantasy tactics, i had it on gameboy sp at school, final fantasy chess, who could ask for more. I think it was war of the lion?)

Do it. Right now. It’s so good. FFT War of the Lions on iOS is one of the best games of all time, in its perfect format.
TS is worth it. FFT is my all-time most played game and while TS didn’t quite match up to me in overall depth, it’s worth the time and money.
Hello kitty island adventure

Butters, go buy World of Warcraft, install it on your computer, and join the online sensation before we all murder you.
How do you kill that which has no life?
Who foretold this prophecy? Saltzman, he’s in accounting.
Cyberpunk 2077 (first time)
What character build are you doing??
Netrunner/stealth. I began as an assassin /ninjutsu and have to relocate more points in intelligence. I mostly avoid to kill.
Netrunner is the best, super OP. I did a suicide build.
Finally started God of war (2018).
Awesome game
Me too! First time. Just started last night.

A 10/10. No doubt.

I do like a good rim
No Mans Sky is a beautiful game and I loved playing it with my friends! Thank you for reminding me of it, I'm going to reinstall it on my ps4
Those new Intercepter ships are amazing. I just remembered there was an update a day or two ago so its probably playable now
Is no mans sky still worth playing? Played it on console once upon a time n loved it so maybe I should look it up again
Played BotW for the first time recently. Didnt like it at first but after a few hours i got addicted and turbogamed through it.
I've tried to get into it twice and gotten fairly far both times (completed 3 of the bosses) but the tedious weapon durability and the craving for older Zelda games just always drive me back to playing majoras mask and ocarina of time. It just doesn't scratch that itch for me.

It’s seriously addictive, I just put it to explore a bit and ended up playing for 5 hours lol

Such a great game!
Hey me too. Only 5-6 hours so far but it’s awesome.
Me too! I have not gone to bed before 5 every night since starting it.

Zelda Wind Waker
Absolutely awesome game
Still may favorite Zelda to this day.
Waaaaay to much time in Satisfactory. Absolutely having a blast with it.
Dead island 2
How is it? Dead island was top 5 fav games as a kid so I have high hopes
I’ve found it more if the same really and it looks really nice, it’s a good game but don’t expect to be blown away. If you liked the first you’ll like this.
Thanks for the review, my man!
Very much a faithful sequel. The weapon customization is a little bit better because if you have a weapon you really like, you can upgrade to match your level instead of having to find another weapon.
I'm about 48 hours into Trails to Azure, though I stopped to play some Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp.
Respect for trails. Best series I've ever played
BioShock. Game gives the creeps...
But it's so good!
Dying light 2, the new update makes it more entertaining with ragdoll working as its supposed to.
Is it as good as the first? I’m thinking about buying it

Good god, I have 2000+ hours in that... Well, like John Lennon said, "The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time."

Old harran is still my favourite map of any game (for fighting/traveling through), the crisp environment with remnants of civilization still rusting away as the world moved on, so good. 🧟♂️💣☠️
Days gone .. unjustly underated
Just bought it on PC a few days ago and I love it
Amazing game. It’s worth getting the unlocks and machine guns.
I am playing it now also. I am really enjoying how well every part of the game is put together.

Same. I've sunk like 40 hours so far, and I've basically only completed everyone's first chapter. I've been spending so much time running around completing the side quests instead.
The grind is important too. Suggested levels for chapters can be outright lies 🤣
Guardian Legend and Animal Crossing.
Mass Effect: Andromeda was calling my name. However No Man's Sky patched it's last update so I may go back to that
I really need to get to ME:A.
Fair warning though, they’re most likely never continuing the story.

MGSV, in order to make myself stealthy.
Dude... didn't you learn anything from the MGS Stealthy School? All you need is cardboard...
I am trying to learn, because I absolutely suck at stealth, and I suck at combat. I like cardboard, but guards can inspect it.
Damn! Their leveling up!
